0:03 Hey y'all, bring it on in. You know what
0:07 it is. I get questions all the time on
0:10 why did you write this book?
0:12 Why did you write reclaiming your
0:14 identity, a mom's guide to empowerment,
0:16 boundaries, and peace among amid
0:20 estrangement? And the reason why I wrote
0:23 this book is because
0:26 I saw this phenomena of inr of
0:29 arangement after I had decided to become
0:33 aranged by my choice. Um not only that I
0:36 had been dealing with parental abuse
0:39 from my younger son for many many years
0:42 and just didn't want to acknowledge the
0:45 truth around it. And also, although I've
0:47 always been very forthcoming about my
0:49 motherhood journey, I didn't want to put
0:52 a name to it, right? Because you assume
0:54 as a parent that there's no way that
0:56 your child is treating you this way when
0:58 you love them unconditionally. But
0:59 nonetheless, that is what I was
1:01 experiencing. And I was writing this
1:04 book over 2 years ago. And when I
1:06 started to see more around not only
1:09 arangement, but the silence around
1:11 parental abuse, that is why I wrote this
1:13 book. I wrote this book also because
1:15 mothers have wrapped their entire
1:19 identities up into motherhood. And a lot
1:21 of us, we don't even know who we are. We
1:23 haven't discovered who we are. We
1:26 haven't had an opportunity to become who
1:28 we are. And we don't even know where to
1:31 start to be completely honest. I also
1:32 wrote this book because I wanted mothers
1:34 to start setting boundaries. And you
1:36 know what? This book is not just for
1:38 moms. It's also for dads. So, I love to
1:41 hear when wives say, "My husband read
1:43 the book as well, and he said you were
1:45 spot on." And what amazes me even more
1:47 is you guys also go and share this with
1:50 your therapist. And that's funny to me
1:54 as well. What I did this week, because I
1:56 was compelled to, I dropped the price on
2:00 the Kindle ebook down to $2.99.
2:02 So even if you have the ebook, I
2:04 encourage you I mean if you even if you
2:06 have the paperback, I encourage you to
2:09 go and get the ebook so you can have it
2:12 on your notebook, your iPad,
2:14 even your phone to read while you're
2:17 traveling or just in general and you
2:19 don't want to have the book with you
2:23 because this book is literally
2:26 has been a lifesaver for me. Um and then
2:28 I get so many say, "When are you going
2:29 to write another book?" and it's in the
2:31 works because I think we also need to
2:34 talk about what happens if there is no
2:36 reconciliation because some of you say
2:38 hey I don't even want to reconcile and I
2:41 think that's absolutely fair um you get
2:44 no judgment from me and then what
2:46 happens when my child is not trying to
2:49 reconcile so I am in the works of
2:51 getting that book out in the next couple
2:52 weeks and I'll have them available for
2:54 pre-order probably on my website before
2:57 we go put them on Amazon but not in a
2:59 few weeks in a few months because I've
3:01 been writing this for a little bit and I
3:03 just want to make sure it's good. But
3:05 nonetheless, this book is sold around
3:06 the world. And I mean around the world,
3:08 like literally, there's so many
3:09 different moms in other countries that
3:12 are reading this book. But again, I
3:14 encourage you to grab the ebook, Why is
3:17 $2.99 over the next couple weeks. I'll
3:19 keep the price down to $2.99 over the
3:21 next couple weeks. Leave an Amazon
3:23 review and then drop in the comments if
3:25 you already purchased the book. I would
3:27 love to hear what you all have to say
3:30 about it because I do get a lot of great
3:32 comments from moms, but I want to hear
3:35 from you. Again, let's do a fresh start
3:37 and encourage others to purchase a book
3:40 as well, your church groups, um your
3:42 local libraries or local bookstores.
3:46 Have them reach out to me at infom.com.
3:47 just anywhere that you feel like it
3:49 because I think there's always this
3:52 shared perspective against moms and
3:55 against parents, but there's never this
3:57 perspective on when you're talking on
3:59 behalf of parents and we need to speak
4:01 up. I think it's very unfair that
4:03 everything is against parents and what
4:06 we have done wrong. We know what we have
4:07 done wrong. We know our imperfections.
4:09 We've acknowledged them. we don't need
4:11 to keep being held accountable because
4:13 what that becomes is that becomes about
4:15 control, servitude and also becomes
4:18 abusive. So that is why I wrote the book
4:19 because I wanted to speak from a
4:21 different perspective whether adult
4:24 children receive it or not because it's
4:25 often times that people don't want to
4:27 hear two different perspectives. We've
4:29 heard our children but it's unfortunate
4:31 that they don't want to hear us. So for
4:33 those of you that have asked why you
4:35 wrote Reclaiming Your Identity, that is
4:38 why I wrote the book. So, I hope this
4:41 helps. Don't forget to grab it on
4:44 Amazon. Grab it from um you can grab it
4:46 on my website as well, but if you grab
4:48 it on Amazon, it'll be quick. Plus, I'm
4:50 out of stock right now and I'm waiting
4:52 on new deliveries because my last order
4:54 sold completely out that was purchased
4:56 from my website. For those of you that
4:57 are waiting on the books that you order
4:59 it directly from my website, thank you
5:01 for your patience. I should have them
5:03 back in by next week and your orders
5:05 will be shipped out immediately and
5:07 labels have been printed and they are
5:09 sitting on my office desk. Okay. All
5:11 right. Thank you and I'm so grateful for
