the Roundup and obviously I always add
lots of Clips so it is does make sense
to make it a public like viewing you do
do a good job at adding all the clips so
if if you do listen there is a watching

especially if we get on to conversation
you don't know what we're talking about

got to be hard just to listen to um when
especially when we get to our saved

guy Paul do you remember that old clip
back in the day of like year like he
does a gain and it's wet and he slips
slip straight off his back and he's
recently come to London and Brighton he
did he gained baby 45 which is
incredible and then he came to um
Brighton and gain and PR the polls which
is so sketchy I was actually there when
um he gain a PR and Manu did the side
flip side flip yeah same incredible
uh Manu also unlocked like another side
pre there as well like into the middle
of the PO yeah he did um two or three
NBD sides at polls and obviously um P
did the gain which has never been done
and I think that's like two of the best
flip priers in the world one of them
with side flips and one of them with
gainers they both can do like gainers
and side flips but each individually
those two are the best in the world at
those right
now like lit nothing for them yeah yeah
it looks like Manu could just side flip
anything at this point yeah I mean when
you see like cuz he came down to Bright
they all came down to Brighton for a
week so it was look we had the
opportunity to train with them over an
extended period of time and like that
Manu and Paul they are hitting side flip
PR Gainer PR multiple times a day every
day and it's just the way that they
train and that's how you get that good
at it like that you can take it to
consequence you can do it as regularly
as they do it's just nonstop as safe as
they do it as well like they're just
that consistent with it yeah they did so
many so many roof Gap side flips as well
side flip PR in London um but that one
that uh Manu did to like the pery as
well oh that was none of us trusted that
did we it's like we saw until recently I
found out it was safe CU I jumped across
and uh went down on it but the side flip
to it take some courage isn't it just
like that thin like really metal bar
just sticking out of the wall and I've
stood on it after jumping to the ledge
before but I was like I don't like it on
here it gives you that unknown feeling
of just ping out at any point it's not
flat as well it's like bumpy that's
crazy thing about the main thing the
main point about it it kind of dips down
and there's a weird spike in the middle
you eily roll your ankle on that but
yeah the kind of awkward things that
don't really translate on video it's
like those very minute things they're so
they're so good at consequence as well
they they deal with it so well the
French yeah they do and I was thinking
about this recently I I think it's
because like they have rooftops like
outside of England I'd say France is
probably the second best Rooftop in the
world and having access to train on the
rooftops like that freely and the
rooftops being so good I think when it
comes to consequence it's like they Next
Level you see the English and the
French yeah they're always exposed at
height they just explore the roofs all
the time there is an argument that like
France has better rooftops than the UK
Ah that's [ __ ] I reckon Paris
especially like they have those Paris is
amazing but they have those like it must
be nice to be able to like run without
worrying about rolling your anle
comparing that to like Central Central
London that inner tin section of
rooftops is only that Central Central
bit when you go on the out skirts of
Paris the rooftops there like just look
at G for all of that is is like because
we don't live there and we don't get to
train it every day like we don't know
the full untapped potential but people
like um gang wizzy and obviously this
new generation of French athletes
they're really like putting it putting
it out there which is sick to see mhm
yeah Fair yeah you can't judge it by
those riveted ones in central Paris I
guess but they also give it like a
different style like who's that guy
that's constantly he does like POV on
Paris rooftops oh Simone Sim Sim his
Clips are so good man and it's like the
the architecture and having slanted
roofs in England all the slanted roofs
are always TI it's so rare to get them
like that where you can slide and jump
to them so it does give you a something
different MH it's cool to see these guys
traveling around as well and getting out
there because I feel like for a long
period of time maybe the French scene
has been a little bit separated I don't
know like
since um I don't we just haven't
interacted with that many French
athletes in like a lot of the um events
and stuff like that yeah I think um uh
until gang I think a few ppps ago like
um I made fun of like French people for
being like
um like proper like hi Al Al Al and um
and a few French people got back to me
as like oh no this this isn't this
doesn't represent the whole French
Community this is mainly no like the
Mars guys yeah he's like yeah yeah maybe
maybe it is didn't you say that's the
the country of the second worst sticks
as well like America then goes to FR
they take impact well historically yeah
only like just a Wham standing jump and
then just like KN it's
different changing it standing PRI is
ridiculous as well ridiculously
big was doing some ones that poles like
up like big like yeah yeah he's he's the
only one apart from me to do that that
one going up yeah I'm strugle with it
down he does it up on leelu's um gain a
pre in the lanes as well
so high up and kind of like high drop to
kind of control the landing on a on one
side it's like the drops disgusting to
stairs and [ __ ] one side's like a fairly
a much bigger drop even the Gainer guy
failed that one did you see yeah he
gained that's exactly the same one as
lelu and went to the left down the
stairs lelu fell as well I think lelu
fell to the left made that bang in
Brighton edit as well that was so cool
like they're watching the twoe Clips was
so so it's all filmed so nice as well
yeah it was sick to see her move in
Brighton I think there was like all of
their first time here and they all uh
took their own individual style and put
it up on Brighton it was so cool to
see um should we move on to Oracle we've

Maris Bennett AO solo part really cool
also in part featuring Chris off now and
again from Maven and a few others in in
that like mid section as well yeah yeah

didn't it but like it's majority a solo
project the Philly scene seems jacked
and sash didn't you say you read the
article and uh he was like a student of
uh he was coached by Chris Roth and
like that's probably why Chris made an
appearance we saying he's I swear he
makes an imperat in every man of video
every man of video yeah is he just way
out training like and he's just like
just a damn camera hog
just Center there's also like we realize
with the Mana videos they always save
the bangers till last and we're just
comparing everyone's Banger Clips like
uh this um the Oracle had the the front
flip to Palm flip at height was
disgusting yeah yeah so rough like you
imagine actually going for that
terrifying just both those moves
individually a rough but linking them
smoothly and sticking it yeah quite it
seemed like it was high up it was like
just about takeable but if you got it
wrong You' like def like probably injure
yourself if you're falling slightly off
AIS that you're [ __ ] up yeah it was it
was high up and obviously if you're
falling down not on your feet you're in
major trouble so it's really
consequential and like really well
executed so definitely a Banger Banger
clip what other highlights there was
that um kind of um jump kick through
like through the little Square I don't
know what you call those moves my mind's
blanked underbar underbar yeah like
underbar clear that uh scaffolding spot
that also features in uh um dear Conor
and maybe Maven as well I'm not sure
yeah that huge drop pre to front oh yeah
big moment [ __ ] he takes the impact
so well and ends up springing up into
the front it's like so impressive really
nice foot placement on that one as well
for such a big jump and a fat wall um
those two um
like they do surprise you with like
because they have the like the AL style
of Parkour movement but when they come
to the fundamentals the same with Chris
like that massive uh drop priest stick
like mid edit just like oh you forget
that they can also do that as well and I
like that they are doing that with their
edits they're not just like all leaning
into one style it's kind of like a
variety of a lot of stuff which is cool
to see you see that a lot with the with
a lot of Americans I think like they do
breed some real all-rounders and maybe
they started out whether they started
out more being on the fundamentals and
like traditional parkour or or more on
the flippy side like gym rats and then
they get outside and and similar to like
Joel lson and uh and stuff I guess well
I feel like there's two types of Flippy
side in America now you get like the gym
ones that are kind of like the twin PK
kind of like those kind of like crazy
just FPS like gate falls on like like
curbs and then you get the beans kind of
flipping which is like more off axis like
like
St diversifying in America Denali Denali
siruno is kind of
like he Denali is a strange one because
he's you know who I'm talking about the
guy that did the the the Double Double T
kind of going tunel what was it actually
grab flip double grab flip I feel like
maybe you need Josh doy
to we know no flips yeah we we've
established this but it was it was a
really cool like uh platform trick that
scored super high in SPL style finals
yeah never been done before like it'll
be cool to see Denali like uh hitting
like making a part like an outdoor part
where you see like a
more um like engaging with the
environment kind of stuff see see if see
if he can do that just haven't been
following him long enough and to to
making like a raw like Street platform
flips kind of like take your platform
flips out of the gym and make him like
gnarly outside and make him in weird
environments I mean see I mean people do
do that for sure I think he does do that
as well sh and Aiden more of it be Shay
and Aiden do do that as well like when
they actually train outside you see them
like I think their latest posts um yeah
where was um Ellis and um sh recently
were they in they were in Lisbon IPS
from lisb oh my God it felt like we were
10 years ahead yeah those two together
are different gravy honestly yeah the uh
Ellis's line um where they both did like
the big um uh layout swing
pre oh the bar yeah the bar spot disount
gain a pre which is like everyone is
like the challenges to swing PRI but
those guys are like yeah we just
Dismount g a pre and just like 540 front
out to
of his line do swing
double swing double swing double pop
side and then into like tricky bar like
combo and then ends with Rudy yeah the
Fly Away Rudy out that was an intense
line I swear like I don't know if Ellis
probably doesn't listen to a word we say
and probably doesn't listen to these
podcasts or whatever but when talking
about like
um when talking about him not having
like when people ask us why isn't why
isn't Ellis like
has why hasn't he ever won star awards
It's like because of the lack of volume
of uh Clips outside a gym but like this
year he's really pushing outside this
year since like um or it's a choice for
him whether like he wants to train
outside like because if he trains
outside all year round he'll he's going
to be quite hard to beat isn't he yeah
with his level of movement and his
variety of movement but I feel for Top
Male like he's he's definitely
definitely pushing up he's a contend
with the volume of stuff that he's done
outside certainly certainly more in
terms of volume and just the intensity
like just seems that's an intentional
thing that he's done like more training
outside or do you reckon the years
before he's literally just focusing on
uh like winning the competitions and
stuff and it certainly makes sense more
to do so because more fun outside he he
came first in um in Portugal recently at
the Fig World Champs and his line was oh
my God and proba just realizes to have
respect in the parkour Community you
can't just always be in a comp or in a
gym you need to be doing stuff outside
and he's going to get like respect and
like props either way but it's like some
doing something outside at a street spot
has a certain element of like that's
true to parkour but um uh Ellis was also
um I think in Belgium staying with
Jeremy recently as well and uh there
like a massive side pre outside what I
assume is Jeremy's place and oh my God
just just the clips that he's been
uploading from like Lan lenu and stuff
as well like one of the best cor PR ever

yeah yeah [ __ ] hell there um yeah
there's so much that he's doing right
now I'm trying to find his his fig line
Sorry for the siren um [ __ ] the police
you reckon he's getting a bit pissed off
with fig cuz like do you remember that
line that was almost better than the one
we're watching right now that came like
third third or something triple fly away
falters a little bit but pulls it out I
don't I can't believe midline he's over
rotated a triple fly away yeah f g does
that he lands it nice as it's just
impeccable that's nice of him as well
cuz like he had a slam on a triple once
and now he's like when he missed his T
yeah he's getting it midline now he's
got it so consistent hasn't he going be
stomping that like a double there's
stuff in his line that can be seen as
filler is still like amazingly strung
together which is I think what is
lacking in a lot of um like it's
actually put together like a proper line
that makes sense more so than a lot of
others also his filler is definitely
everyone else's goals like yeah still
top movement yeah I don't know if you saw
saw
um I forget the name of her um I think
she's from Mexico yeah I showed you this
one Ella
who came third in freestyle this time
but she does yeah a giant to full in
back out Flyway full in back out and
then some filler around like gymnastics
e kind of uh back handspring filler and
lame vaults and then goes back to the same
same
bar it just stays around like the same
like area does a giant double Fly Away
back rolls out the back heads back to
the same little bars does some filler
like step vaults really basic goes back
to the same
bar back to the same bar for a third
time Giant and then does another double
Fly Away in front rolls out of it this
time and then finishes like a gymnast
with the like arms above the head is
half gymnast competition she came third
real if you're a gymnast you could like
like she's just you doing using the bars
and then learn those filler tricks that
work well in fig that would be you could
do if you're gymless that'll take you a
week to learn speed step you can learn
instantly and all all the other moves
she's done there is a speed steps and a
wo flip like don't don't get me wrong
I'm not [ __ ] I'm not [ __ ] on like
how can you [ __ ] on like a giant to uh
Fly Away full in back out not [ __ ]
on that she know all all of the bar
stuff was incredible she's real at that
definitely yeah yeah it's just the fact
that you've also used the same bar three
times and and two of the times were like
the same move and then you filled it in
between with some like step vaults and
back hand Springs in the same area of
the park like that's that's my example
of like a poorly put together line still
obviously not saying that it's bad but
she she's like historically she has has
uh won like I think she's the biggest
bof flexer that there is we're talking
about Ella buio look at all those medal
medals in the
bio the biggest bof flexer we've seen
you I'm confused about I swear in figs
but incredible athlete I reckon three
what's that three big Scrolls go on a go
on a grid three big Scrolls that turn to
gymnastics big one two you can't because
it's loads we oh it's definely there
there's stuff in yeah it's it's all
parkour gym stuff um a few bikini pics
in there you know do you follow k i I
don't actually no what you saying that I
you you think I would just because of the
the
bikini [ __ ] sake what what I'm confused
about swallow in in the Fig competitions
right I swear wasn't there like a rule
you had to use most of the course or is
that like an old thing now do you
remember you had to like I'm baffled how
she's got furred using one bar and a
wall and two rails she went to the same
bar three times in a row I thought that
would deduct your points massively but
maybe there a change since like two
years ago did anyone see C hard without
seeing the rest of the competition as
well cuz it could that could just be
like yeah some people might have uh
messed up their lines or something did
anyone see what Mimi was going for in
practice yeah yeah and you just his his
in line and he went for it in line and
just took it to the face and in the past
he has just like
continued we like hitting his face
during a con and then just finishes his
line like but like yeah this one he just
he just pieced out but yeah
360 like 360 to stride cking back out so
the old like you know Jesse lefair lunar
eclipse but back out wild Mimi is are we
supporting fig by talking about it Louis
alme would say so oh [ __ ] but I think
yeah we don't like I think we can we in
the in the past we have like gone
through like podiums and stuff and it's
[ __ ] long and kind of I I care less
in that sense you guys care less in that
sense maybe the listeners do as well but
at least we can talk about like the
amazing or [ __ ] stuff like that we
see in it the movement's still there and
it's still respectable also um of course
Ben you told me about
um Ellis uh Ellis too and Shay and Tangi
getting denied a place to stay in the
lban community yeah I heard that or
maybe I I heard more from dods because I
think camil's the lisban community are
like strongly against fig and then a lot
of them those guys I mean yeah I'm just
characterizing no names but yeah like
and then they got refused the place to
stay which is like okay but I think they
were just a little bit hostile about the
Fig thing it's like okay you just got to
move past it at this stage we've got to
at least be together we can't like start
hating each other from within it's like
what do you mean are we are we not
friends anymore just because of my
decisions to go to different comps I
think this is this is the division that
people were like worried about and what
I personally think is lame like yeah um
yeah like we can criticize and stuff but
as as as far as it comes to individuals
and stuff and like I have in the past
done that as well with like captions and
stuff and like uh just like singling out
people like David NS but what haven't
you said on your caption come David NS
he's the fastest man in the world he can
take it U what haven't I said yeah um
but yeah I I actually reached out to
Ellis saying like um I hope I hope you
know that if if you got [ __ ] in the
Lisbon group chat like that doesn't
represent the whole parkour Community
like if you came to Brighton like know
that you'll definitely have a place to
stay like no one is that's a good
message to send to him I suppose it's
yeah maybe because we don't do fig maybe
the actually actual athletes doing fig
feel a little bit guilty that they're
here that like yeah a lot of people
think I shouldn't be here and it kind of
that was the experience a little bit for
them we was just talking about their
unbelievable moves in Portugal as well
that's probably a little bit of a
protest it's like yeah train with us look
yeah but yeah Big athletes um dods said
uh apparently it was it was kind of like
jokingly like on on the group chat and I
don't think they were actually like
saying no you can't stay because of your
Allegiance with fig or whatever and it
was more of like a jokingly but when
they're in Dire Straits because they
they had an Airbnb that was like a scam
and uh so they had nowhere to stay it's
like maybe not the best time to like I
mean it's also totally fair enough if no
one had a space for them yeah yeah as
well obious context yeah they haven't
come to to your place and like they
they've booked a place to stay and it
just fell through so it's like a last
minute sort of like can you help yeah
yeah well no actually because you're
allegian Li with fig the the yeah you
away from home you've just had your
Airbnb cancelled and now you're getting
beef from the people that you think can help
help
yeah your community that you think of
your friends but yeah hopefully it
wasn't so like hard ball like that kind
of thing I'm sure they coped yeah but as
in like they look like they coped yeah
[ __ ] lines are shellers both of them
yeah yeah uh right where should we move
on to next um stick Masters stick
Masters yeah we got to released to the
public now and I guess it's a little bit
of like a a wider Community event
obviously we were the hosts we weren't
actually taking part um everyone's
already seen the video though haven't
they obviously surely but yeah it was a
great event really really cool and uh
we're definitely keen on doing it again
right yeah absolutely yeah it was it was
our first time with that format so it
was really interesting actually reading
through the comments for people's
suggestions of how we can make it better
next time um because I feel feel like
there was the obvious like curse of
going first and it was we needed to we
need to work out a way in the future to
make that better um how not to give Joey
such a disadvantage I think I think it
should just go like it changes round
each round who goes but I feel like the
leader needs to go out
last Chang changing rounds as well like
like the last rounds or there was one
round that only three people sort of
went so it would be like I don't know
not everyone goes every round so it's
quite hard to everyone ch Tri I reckon
the best way of doing it would be um us
to go first on the challenge really so
it's like you see you see people like
break it the curse of going first is
gone and then how do you think you guys
would have done not as well as them for
sure I find it quite hard actually
sticking stuff first time I always have
to grind for yeah same me too even more
so really impressive to watch them
reckon I could have got a handful of
them maybe first time
yeah so them racks up as like yeah nine
or 12 points or I reckon you would have
been a big Contender to be fair yeah I
think so I would have L to seen you like
uh compete in it but if I could put do
like a stick if I could put one of us
forward to compete we'll throw
our good event as well the only downside
as well is that maybe we kept the
athletes on the day for too long is it
didn't wasn't intended to be that long
but I think cuz everyone's preps took a
long time you had to wait for um like
boats and people and bikes and rain and
stuff it was like a big day in the end
such a stressful day and like you're wet
you're running out of clothes like a lot
of them are doing it in the same shoes
that they'd fallen in with already and
you you constantly just switched on
constantly prepping like there's a
little bit of a cold day as well yeah
annoyingly yeah that must have sucked
for them so long got all of those
athletes I think it was like a 9 hour
shift or something yeah eight I think it
was eight I think if it's like if if we
didn't get [ __ ] up by the rain and the
weather was nice all day it would have
been more dealable it's just like
towards the end of the day it was like
the sun was the sun wasn't there the
guys had fallen in like a couple times
it's like kind of cold they're shivering
they're already like warmed down they
had to warm back up um but yeah if it
was a bit nicer weather I don't think we
would have rushed it a bit bit more
chill um could have started at the
intended time we got pushed back like 3
hours because of the rain on the day
started on the wet in the wet so thought
the day was going to be a right off to
pull it out the bag in the but next time
we do it hopefully it'll be a lovely
sunny day sash you had a good idea for
the going first situation it was like a
prelims for them to decide maybe we go
to like the day before a little spot and
there's five challenges that they've got
to stick and they've got time limit and
it's like whoever sticks it um it's a
reverse order whoever sticks it all them
first they go obviously the last I think
it is important for that format for the
leader to go out last I don't know why
it's almost like their skill should
determine their like uh order of what
how they go yeah and it's like when we
how we did it we like pulled names out
of a hat which is just luck luck chance
but like maybe it should be their skill
like got the like way to do it from a
SPL they always do like a 20 minute five
challenges or like five or more
challenges we couldn't have done that on
that day no not not like we only had we
only had all seven athletes for just one
day in the end hard but in the future
when we have a bit more time to plan and
a little bit more money and get them out
for a longer time that could be a good
way of doing it could it literally be
like three small mini challenges but
like to rails or something where you can
like do you know what I mean it doesn't
have to be as big as SPL do it they do
like a fullon competition prelims the
day before but could we just do like a
mini version of it just to make it less
just pulling a name out of a half you
put more work into them though which is
maybe a good thing maybe not I'm not
sure but true true maybe athlet just
knackering them out more unless unless
you had more um more time and you did
that the prelims the day before to work
it out that's what I thought um it would
be cool as well to do it timed cuz I
think that's the only real way you can
work out true order because if it's done
on like if if you got five sticks there
could be like uh five athletes that get
all five sticks for example but if you
time it it's like they Rush real order
sort of mhm the video's done video's
done pretty well it's on it's on half a
million and I think this is a good
example of striking a great balance
between like a stuff that the parkour
Community can really be invested in and
enjoy watching like the the um the
challenge race videos as well as well as
gamifying parkour to make it more
watchable for the public than the street
Rats videos and I think it also shows
that the reals the Instagram reals have
popped off as well like some of them
it's such a watchable format because you
just see the layout of the amount of
attempts and you just so simplees you
see how everyone does and it's a street
comp as well so it's like it's it's
truer to how how we rate parkour and and
how we want to show it and stuff as well
but yeah it's it is it is uh like when
you're trying to make parkour watchable
for the general public it does have to
be gamified or like structured in story
kind of thing that you can you can watch
if every upload is like basically you
out on the streets training it's not
going to like pop off in the same way as
if you kind of gamify or do some sort of
challenges team fat are the great
example of that if you look at their
YouTube it's like all of it is sick
Street training but rarely does it like
break over 100km views and it's like
they can only do that for so long
without making like YouTube money yeah
you know what I mean and that's the
right levels I think because we could
have made
it so much like that street competition
is so good isn't it it's so it's so sick
that's exactly how we want to show
parkour especially in a competition
format and it isn't that lame as well
like you know what I mean like could be
so much so much worse on YouTube yeah I
mean it's unreal like the what the
athletes were doing is just yeah for me
that was just the whole day watching it
unfold was just a spectacle I could see
easily in on a different day if it was
sunny like hundred of people stopping
and watching that yeah um unfold it's
like a street competition and water so
it's like the perfect blend
two as an element of Jeopardy with the
water being there and just also I what I
really liked about is that having only
one attempt made the athletes really
like really focus in on their first
attempt and pay attention to all the
details so brutal yeah and it really got
them into a certain Zone that I think is
not not seen as much in normal training
cuz you know you can just send a prep or
the first one and just get it on the
second one or whatever but fact where
points were on the line they've only got
one go pressure makes diamonds and I
think it was it was really good to be
like invested in it for the video as
well but like yeah as well as it's it's
incredible that we did get some dingers
as well like the fact that they're so
skilled that with this pressure and the
water and how much the water like and
the stakes affect your judgment
incredible athletes involved who were we
missing we are missing Oliver because he
did the first um the first uh Street
climbing uh
competition Nico as well Nik van n van
Hall and we we had is
a Andreas took his I suppose now Jacko P
program The Witch finer was meant to be
representing Italy um there's that guy
um he's Brazilian he got uh mat was also
going to be I think endis would have
been the best to represent Germany
Germany especially as now he's like back
on top form as if like he never left
he's looking so good yeah seeing him at
the keeper and gfam jam like he was on
form it was so fun training with him he
seems like so clear and happy now as

good is your head at competition

Robbie went into it with such a strong
kind of like um like people's favorite
everyone thought Robbie would do well
it's CU he's notorious for one banging
six and it's like and just being able to
stay calm like Robbie is just calm as is

so in terms of the pressure of
competitions he is like a veteran he's
dialed like seeing him in competition
mode is so strategic yeah it's just

serious way with parkour is is cool to

not going to favor just like if we're

so monkey would have done well he was he
was injured and judging but I reckon he
would have done very to be fair like
anyone on that list and anyone that we
just mentioned could easily win on the
day it kind of like it's a roll of a
dice almost sticks isn't it some days
you just get lucky like OB obviously
majority skill but there's a bit of luck
to sticks and like Ed was saying before
the competition he's not that good at
sticking stuff first time but like
because he's such a competitor and he
sees like everyone's doing this thing he
just can rise to the level and maybe he
unlocked a new kind of version of
himself in during that day we have to
ask he was like I just can stick stuff

sticks for the next years really

well hopefully um Marcio after he gets
this surgery he got he he's had his
surgery uh yesterday today is Wednesday
he's had his surgery everyone that
supported marcio's GoFundMe to fund this
surgery props to you because I think
that is the most like in terms of where
you can support
athletes pay like helping people pay for
their gofundmes for their surgeries is
probably the best way you can support an
athlete unless you're Camila Stefan you
and you just inj yourself again like
skateboarding or something sorry Camila
as I said complete the worst investment
I've ever made
is is Cam is paying into Camila's
GoFundMe for her surgery spitting my
face like that Camila but no paying to
get someone back to sport like that
that's [ __ ] sick no I I do think like
you can buy shirts videos and stuff but
in terms of getting people back on their
feet to their sport assuming that the
surgery is 100% needed in everything as
well which in marcio's case like it
seems to be that is a thing he needed
the screws out so hopefully he can uh
get back to full strength and he can
join us in a future star of stick master
I can see I can see him winning one in
the future would be iconic that would be
the turn around great greatest sporting
event of all time need to be a doco on
that like yeah I'm not sure if my spine
I'm not sure if uh Quenton from the old
parkour litery Le videos has um reached
his Target for the GoFundMe yet and I
don't think it's for a specific surgery
I think it's more just to pay for
because he's completely unable to work
because of his long laundry list of like
broken bones uh he has hasn't been able
to work so just like paying for Life
costs and stuff but I I think it is uh
some unexpected medical bills as well
right yeah yeah well yeah he hasn't
reached the limit yet so um I'll put the
gofund me link in the description if you
want to help him out as well cuzz I do
think it's the best that's where you can
support athletes 100% I honestly think
Marcio pre-injury is
like hard to beat stick master I reckon
he would have definitely been on that
Podium if not at the top yeah yeah yeah
obviously anything can happen on the day
but still wow one of the stick OG's yeah
yeah top sticker he does always he does
always put an effort like for it though
it's I don't know maybe oh what he
grinds it out yeah it's always attempt
but also attempts give you knowledge and
in that scenario when you've only got
one it's like more attempts is more data
in your backpack in the past you also
need water challenge data in your
backpack as well cuz like some of those
athletes competing in the stick Masters
this year were it's like the first time
they've ever done Water Challenges apart
from maybe like two or three of them
like Ed's done some um do you know what
I feel like if you've done PR at height
with death drop it gives you like a
like a more advanced version of that
state would you know it's life or death
it's like you really got a Zone in on
that foot placement and like first time
and um martio's done a lot of that true
true and yeah I think that helps when it
comes to water it's like oh this is not
as bad yeah it's maybe more valuable to
train at height for water challenges but
if you've only done PRI at like street
spots and you've never really done them
at like major consequential height I
feel like water's more scary than a
street spot like obvious leag for the
unknown of what's underneath so but yeah
if it's like a teer system it's like
Street um Street kind of PR Water
Challenge PR and then obviously like
training at height height PR also does
the water like kind of bug your eyes out
a little bit as well it's a bit weird
yeah especially if it's your first time
doing it I've kind of got used to it now
and it's nice but do you remember the
like water legs at the beginning how big
is this I can't tell especially if the
water's moving in your looking at the
post kind of pre and the water's in your
like periphery and like sometimes you're
outside there's like a big fat like face
of a wall and you can just tell how far
it is you've just got so much in front
of you but when it's a pillar like
surrounded by water that's glistening in
your eyes it's different isn't it
yeah speaking of uh injuries and
surgeries the uh Achilles Achilles
rupture epidemic
continues Aaron boom with the um his
Achilles boom son boom like
go takes off like Splat tries to inward
front um Splat loser sort of thing but
on the Splat it's just like it pops as
hor he did have a successful attempt as
well but he like planted his hands down
and wanted to go for it again and then
it's always those second attempts never
do anything twice yeah no it was Jo
gander's second attempt for his under
bar repetition is very dangerous I was
talking I was talking to Sasha about
this as well like in terms of injury
mechanisms it is that it's not just the
rapid loading of the Achilles through
dors dors flection it's the Lo like
rapid trying to reload Ecentric
lengthening of the Achilles hey first
piss with Max I was getting close to be
fair I thought I was going to take my
first loss okay so not just the uh rapid
entric lengthening of the Achilles it's
trying to come out of that
concentrically CU otherwise we we'd see
so many more Achilles tears on just
ankle things which is more just entric
loading unless you're trying to do like
a a plyo out from a rail then you'd have
more of that concentric bouncing out of
it so it's Ecentric loading and then
trying to come out of that like that is
that's the D where the energy is is
stored but if it's there's no concentric
out of that then the energy gets
dissipated but if you if
you like that's like trying to come out
of it concentrically that is uh of that
deep range that is like the most strain
on the tendon uh and that is like and
also like AR Aaron boom's been putting
out a lot of um valuable content after
the injury which I think is quite
valuable to help stop this happening
with other people in the future he also
said like in terms of other factors that
affect it he was like it was a really
long training day he tired yeah and he
he showed loads of examples of how he
was like stressing his Achilles earlier
on in that day and also he was saying
that he when he was on the floor like
and somehow so calmly like sitting there
and just saying like yeah I should have
known that was going to happen or
whatever he said I I haven't been
training this is my first time training
out in the street in the long time like
he's been in the gym or whatever or um
um so he hasn't been recently hasn't
been acclimated to like training on hard
surfaces and then had a really long
training day and then to end it off like
ruptures the Achilles tendons really
need that consistent training a lot of
these factors and that's just like two
things two things right there on top of
like the injury mechanism which is like
the the rapid a bit of as well hasn't he
like did you see that cork pre that he
did in that kuna Jam yeah C like it's
such a shame over like a driveway drop
like one moreall he's been killing it
yeah yeah really sick stuff legend of
the game I think he also runs the in
extremist events as well yeah yeah he's
tried to get us out for a few of them
but we're always busy yeah I think uh
the next one is I'm not sure if it's
they've made it public yet but 6th of
December or something I might go check

fast from their Achilles problems har

we just stop talking about it then it's
it's freaking me out it's rough it is it

got to understand why it's happening

Achilles ruptures are happening and
recognize like a trend in like injury
mechanism and it's like explained a few

as well as like Achilles Rapture
mechanisms and I'll probably share some
