0:01 what if you could figure out exactly
0:03 what niches were most profitable with
0:06 the lowest competition at any given time
0:08 before you ever started posting products
0:09 for sale then what if I told you that
0:12 you could figure it out quickly for free
0:13 and that by using this method you'd
0:15 never run out of ideas or struggle to
0:18 figure out exactly what to make and post
0:20 next this is the exact strategy that
0:22 I've used to post mugs t-shirts posters
0:25 wall art and all kinds of products and
0:26 each time that I post I know that my
0:28 products have the best chances of
0:30 getting sales whether it's with paid ads
0:33 or organic traffic and it helps me get
0:35 sales on all of my products in less than
0:37 half the time by taking out all the
0:39 guess work the truth is that regardless
0:41 of what product you're selling the only
0:42 thing that matters is the positioning
0:44 and the design to get that product to
0:47 sell most niches are oversaturated and
0:49 too competitive to sell in so in this
0:50 video I'm going to give you my exact
0:53 three layer strategy for finding golden
0:55 pocket niches that you can use to get
0:57 sales today and into the future the
0:59 whole process is really simple we just
1:01 need to SE down what's already working
1:02 for the product we're selling and then
1:05 identify golden pocket niches to sell in
1:06 the way that we can do this is by
1:08 looking at velocity how well a
1:10 particular Niche performs over a short
1:13 recent period of time for example if a
1:15 product was just posted 2 months ago and
1:17 it's already getting great traction it's
1:19 a sign of great velocity and that that
1:21 Niche is a good Niche to sell in but if
1:23 a product has gotten a ton of sales but
1:26 it's been active for several years then
1:28 it's likely not as hot as it once was
1:31 and it could be a more saturated Niche
1:33 the greater the velocity the better your
1:35 chances are of getting sales today and
1:37 having that listing rank early on so
1:38 that it continues to sell into the
1:40 future and by the way this focuses
1:41 towards Etsy print on demand because
1:43 it's what I teach but this product
1:45 research method applies to any other
1:47 sales channel that you might have and
1:48 now that you understand that you have to
1:50 understand what the objective actually
1:52 is with Etsy print on demand the goal is
1:54 not to have just one product that sells
1:56 like crazy and makes you millions of
1:58 dollars but instead it's to have a
2:00 catalog of products where each one sells
2:02 occasionally of course we want those
2:03 bestselling listings but everything
2:05 sells in waves and eventually even the
2:08 best sellers will slow down over time so
2:10 we want an evergreen catalog that lasts
2:11 for as long as we want to do business
2:13 for if you can get to the point where
2:15 each listing you post makes you a few
2:17 hundred or a few thousand in profit each
2:19 year then all you have to do is post
2:21 more listings that means that the goal
2:23 is to have a proven system to post
2:25 products for sale in these golden pocket
2:27 niches so that each one will sell
2:29 occasionally that way is we build up our
2:31 shop instead having just one product
2:33 that our entire business relies on we
2:34 can have a collection of products that
2:36 all sell occasionally I always say that
2:39 it only takes one listing to really pop
2:41 off and change your life forever but it
2:43 takes posting lots of listings before
2:45 you post that best seller you're always
2:47 just one listing away but to actually
2:49 get there you need a strategy to post
2:51 every listing in a niche with great
2:53 trajectory so that it has the best odds
2:55 of success the way that you figure out
2:56 what we'll sell is by looking at what
2:58 other people are actively selling you're
3:00 not going to have this huge op Epiphany
3:02 where you magically know what will work
3:03 it's simply by researching your
3:05 competitors now there's three levels of
3:06 research that we can do to figure out
3:09 what niches have the best velocity the
3:11 first is the shop level we can find
3:13 entire shops that have a good overall
3:16 velocity for example if you come to Etsy
3:18 and just search for the type of product
3:19 that you're selling you're going to get
3:22 a huge list of results now you'll notice
3:24 that next to each listing you'll see a
3:26 little star with a number next to it and
3:28 that's how many overall reviews that
3:31 shop has gotten now typically bigger
3:33 shops are going to have more than 2 to
3:36 3,000 reviews so we're only looking for
3:38 that type of shop since you'll typically
3:40 get one review for every 7 to 10 sales
3:42 we're only looking at Shops with over
3:44 2,000 reviews to help filter out
3:46 successful ones we don't need to look at
3:47 the tiny new shops that aren't working
3:50 yet then when we finally find a listing
3:52 that meets our criteria we can click
3:53 through it and we can actually come
3:56 visit the shop and then scroll all the
3:58 way down to the bottom to see when this
4:00 shop started so for for example this
4:02 shop has done 14,000 sales and they just
4:05 started last year in 2023 now if we
4:07 compare that to a shop like this one
4:10 where they've done over 20,000 sales but
4:13 they opened their shop in 2010 you can
4:15 see that this first one has a much
4:17 higher velocity because they've made a
4:19 lot more money in a much shorter amount
4:21 of time it'd be smarter to emulate what
4:22 this shop is doing because even though
4:24 they've made less overall sales they've
4:26 made more money in a shorter amount of
4:29 time it has a much higher velocity so
4:30 when we find a shop like this we can
4:33 follow it or we can copy the address so
4:35 that we can save it for later now you
4:36 can save these shops in a ton of
4:38 different ways but if you use canva to
4:40 make your designs you can just create
4:42 one of these whiteboards and it's
4:44 basically just a big empty whiteboard
4:46 space where you can just paste the link
4:49 to the shop in if you give it a second
4:51 to load you can see that you have this
4:52 nice little bookmark where you can
4:54 quickly go back and visit the shop
4:56 whenever you need inspiration of course
4:58 you can also use a shop research tool to
4:59 quickly see more stats and details about
5:01 particular shops which can be super
5:03 helpful because sometimes scrolling
5:04 through all of the options can take a
5:07 while now the second level of Niche
5:09 research is at the listing level we can
5:12 find winning niches right inside a high
5:14 velocity shop like this one so all we
5:16 have to do is come down to the bottom
5:18 where they have their reviews section
5:20 and what we can do is filter these
5:22 reviews out by most recent now this is
5:25 going to show us what customers are
5:27 actively buying and reviewing like right
5:30 now this week today by looking at these
5:32 most recent reviews and paying attention
5:34 to the thumbnail and seeing which
5:35 products customers are buying over and
5:38 over we'll be able to see which products
5:40 are most likely their best sellers now
5:41 this one seems to be coming up fairly
5:44 often and just by reading the title it
5:47 looks like it's a hiking Explorer
5:49 camping Niche shirt so I can click on it
5:51 and see how this listing is actually
5:52 performing we're mostly looking at how
5:54 many total reviews this particular
5:56 listing has gotten now I can even take
5:59 this a step further by filtering out
6:02 this specific listings reviews by the
6:04 most recent and then scrolling all the
6:11 page and you'll be able to see the date
6:13 that this listing got its very first
6:15 review and that gives you an idea of how
6:17 well this listing has been performing
6:18 over time now since clicking through all
6:20 the reviews takes quite a while you
6:22 could also use a listing analyzer tool
6:23 to speed up the process and see how many
6:26 sales how much revenue and how a listing
6:27 is performing over time this particular
6:29 listing got its first review about 9
6:31 months ago so that should give you a
6:33 rough idea of how well this particular
6:35 Niche is performing right now now an
6:37 important reminder here is that while we
6:39 are looking for Niche ideas we're also
6:42 looking for the type of mockups that are
6:44 working on winning listings and Design
6:46 Elements and everything that's helping
6:48 this listing sell so well even things
6:50 like the keywords that they're using in
6:51 their titles now the third and best
6:53 level of research is looking at the
6:55 listing to shop ratio these are the
6:56 hardest to find but if you can find a
6:58 single listing that's performing really
7:00 well and generating the majority of a
7:03 Shop's sales it can be a sign of an
7:05 extremely profitable Niche opportunity
7:07 so for example this listing has
7:10 generated more than half of the total
7:13 reviews for this entire shop meaning
7:14 it's clearly an outlier and a top
7:16 performer now I wish there was a clear
7:18 way to find these type of listings but
7:19 it's just the more you look at High
7:21 Velocity shops and high velocity
7:23 listings the closer you'll get to
7:25 finding outliers like this one then
7:26 again when you find a winning listing
7:28 like this one that people are actively
7:31 buying and leaving reviews on every
7:33 single day you want to save it so you
7:36 can copy the listing link and you can go
7:37 into your dashboard and you can paste
7:40 the link in and save it for later with a
7:42 nice little thumbnail so that you never
7:44 run out of ideas because remember not
7:46 only is this a golden Niche opportunity
7:48 to sell products in but you can also
7:50 take inspiration from the mockup the
7:52 design and every element that's making
7:54 this listing perform so well now I also
7:56 wanted to leave you with a bonus that I
7:58 talk about in my course the sixf figure
8:00 storefront which is ID identifying
8:01 templates the best thing you can do when
8:03 you're searching for niches to sell in
8:05 during this process is keeping an eye
8:07 out for golden pocket niches with
8:09 template designs for example if we know
8:12 that this is a high velocity listing and
8:14 it's inside a high velocity shop then we
8:17 can take this type of design and use it
8:19 as a template for inspiration for
8:21 different types of designs meaning that
8:23 I could take this design and switch this
8:25 out for yoga instructor or something
8:27 like that change the definition and the
8:29 graphic and have a completely new
8:31 product based on what's already working
8:32 but if you want to learn more about
8:34 designing and print on demand in general
8:36 you can check out this video next and
