welcome to today's video where we'll be
discussing the cognitive function that
everyone thinks is extroverted intuition
but is actually introverted Intuition or
ni what is introverted
intuition all of the introverted
functions whether they are perception
functions or judgment functions they are
all Source functions a source function
means it is powered internally within
one's own mind Source functions
represent a person's internal awareness
drive and
perspective so introverted intuition is
a source function regarding one's own
future we discussed extroverted
intuition in the last video which is the
external possibilities or choices if
extroverted intuition is their choice
then introverted intuition is my choice
ni users are constantly scanning their
environment and updating and internal
awareness of the potential paths they
can take for their future this future
might extend out months years and even
decades which is more common for the njs
or the future might be what they'll do
in 5 minutes 5 hours or 5 days from now
which is more common with the SPs who
are the lower ni
users the foundational concept for ni is
this what is my path forward they're
always seeking to find that path how
does introverted intuition work
introverted intuition Works a little bit
differently for the four SP types than
it does for the four NJ types the basic
mechanics are shared by both just in a
primary versus secondary kind of
relationship the primary mechanic of Ni
is this ni users scan their environment
to see what other people are doing and
then decide if they want to do any of
the things they see others doing an ni
user might not even know they want to do
something until they see it this reveals
why introverted intuition is always tied
to extroverted sensing through cognitive
access what is happening in the external
environment which is SE informs the ni
user whether or not they want to do that
thing think of SE as the gasoline that
fuels ni's fire of
Desire this tie between SE and ni is
shared by all ni users but it is
primarily employed by the four SPS whose
extroverted sensing is the highest of
all the 16 types they lead with their SE
seeing what other people are doing
before knowing what they want the four
njs however have the highest introverted
intuition of all the types they lead
with their ni while they're definitely
influenced by the physical environment
their process is more like I'll find
what I want and then I'll look for the
environment that matches my desire so
it's the reverse of the SPs what are ni users
users
seeking Freedom above all ni users are
seeking freedom but how can that be if
their focus is primarily on finding the
singular path forward for themselves why
is freedom so important to them it's
because in order to find that path in
the first place ni users need the space
to find it and they also need the space
to update and change that path in real
time ni users especially High ni users
need to learn flexibility and that you
can have a much better future if you
don't always hold on to your plan with
an Iron Fist of course there are times
when the only thing the ni user can hold
on to is their Vision but that's rare
the essence of an ni user search is to
find something they desire and pursue it
for many of the ni users the most
enjoyment is actually found in the
pursuit of their desire rather than
achieving it but the outcome is still
important because ni regardless of which
ni user it is is still looking at the
end result if there's no chance for a
good outcome it's hard to motivate an ni
user to do anything ni users are seeking
a path forward which means they are
seeking their complimentary function in
other people extroverted Intuition or
any any user provide choices and paths
for the ni user to pick from an ni user
will only be motivated to go forward in
one of two ways one they need a variety
of paths to choose from which is seeking
any or two they need other people who
they can share their path with which is
Seeking a shared experience with the ni
users linked function
SE ideally ni users can have both the
options to pick from and the people to
share the experience with how can ni
users avoid the pitfalls associated with
introverted intuition ni users often
underestimate how much work will be
required to complete a goal and achieve
their Vision the first Pitfall for ni
users is facing burnout as a result of
ignoring how much consistency is
required to achieve a goal the function
that creates awareness of One's Own
effort and consistency is Si or
introverted sensing SI is directly
opposed to ni the higher ones inverted
intuition the lower their extroverted
sensing ni users get hurt by burnout
when they don't prepare for the journey
toward achieving their desire learning
to pay attention to their own stamina
needs and experience will help them
manage their energy and stay the course
ni users also benefit greatly from
surrounding themselves with SI users who
can model discipline and endurance for
the ni user to absorb so they can
persevere over longer periods of time
the second Pitfall for ni users is a
general unawareness of the consequences
of Their Own actions an ni user might
know what they want and might
impulsively and passionately pursue it
but give zero thought to the consequence
of that Pursuit this is because ni users
have low extroverted intuition which
governs the awareness of consequences
the forp types have the lowest
consequential awareness of all the types
though the njs are not far behind until
ni users become aware of how little they
understand consequences they will
blindly stumble into pits that could
have been avoided if you're with an ni
user be their Watcher and warn them when
you see ditches or holes coming just as
much as you might present positive paths
for them to take the last Pitfall for ni
users is being overly selfish with their
choices and taking away other people's
choices by default because ni users are
seeking extroverted intuition choices
from others they rarely go out of their
way to provide choices for other people
or think about what other people want
mature ni users begin to realize that
helping other people get what they want
is an important tool to learn to get
what they than I user want letting other
people make choices will open up some
doors for the ni user that would
otherwise have stayed closed armed with
the tools of a deeper awareness of how
to endure toward achieving a goal
learning how to compensate for their
blind spots and consequences and giving
others a little more freedom in making
their own choices an ni users willpower
will grow more potent precise and
Unstoppable and that is ultimately what
every ni user wants to be the
Unstoppable force that blasts through
any obstacle to achieve their goal if
