irritated and or annoyed with a thing
that you're looking for yet you cannot
find well this is the thing that 5s
wants to give us looking or searching no
more for important items in our
workplace and even in our households 5s
is divine as a methodology that results
in a workplace at the screen uncluttered
safe and well organized to help reduce
waste and optimize productivity 5s is
said to be a standalone tool and even
outside Lean Six Sigma you can use this
5s promotes workplace productivity
because with workplace productivity
comes productivity and the things that
we do it's designed to help build a
quality work environment both physically
and mentally the fibers philosophy
applies in any work area suited for
visual control and lean production the
fibers condition of a work area is
critical to employees and is the basis
of customers first impressions I hope
all of your organization supplying 5s
what are the 5 SS 5s originated using
the Japanese term and has been
translated into English and here are the
5 SS
theory is for organized or sort this
aims to eliminate whatever is not needed
by separating in the tools part and
instructions from unneeded materials

neatly arranging and identifying parts

added to the SS of 5s are just effects
just like safety security and savings

organization we have better asset
utilisation and enhance enterprise image
to customers suppliers employees and
management as mentioned 5s is the basic
process improvements specifically in
lean management therefore if your
organization does not have a 5s yet I
strongly suggest that you make this as
one of your improvement projects by
putting up the 5s system here are some
examples of 5s at the workplace as you
can see before there is too much clutter
and then after there are lines there are
visual management and the rocks there
are layering in the rocks and there are
specific places for each of the items
inside the workplace 5s is also applied
in the office
in the racking system but you have in
your table in your cabinets under your
tables in any parts of the offices 5s
will be applicable as long as you
maintain the worklist organization
principle for higher productivity we
also have 5s at the warehouses by making
things organized you make the warehouse
operations easier and faster and it
promotes lesser occurrence of mistakes
and even in healthcare this is a
vertical component of lean healthcare as
we may know errors and mistakes are very
critical inside the healthcare and the
system is there for us to be able to
reduce that error so that we can serve
our patients better so this is 5s and
this is one of the most commonly used
