The content is a personal reflection and update, detailing recent life changes, personal growth, and reflections on relationships, particularly a past romantic one.
Hi.
I'm I'm good. I've been all right. Um
Maybe we can just walk for a minute and
talk about our weeks and then sit down
or something.
Yeah, I've been good. Um,
got a new credit card.
My mom got a really good job actually
with like I think it was like 50,000
base pay plus commission. So,
So,
not that I've really talked to her in a
yeah, you know, just been doing my own
thing. Yeah, I've been cooking a little bit.
bit.
I know you don't like soup, but I really
like soup.
So, it was nice little project.
Yeah. the the machining, the welding. Um,
Um,
it's cool. I'm going to be programming
lathes and mills. You program them with
a language called G-code. Um,
Um,
the lathes are what we use to um cut
into the metal from the side. The mills
we use to cut the metal from the top.
And that's how we can make really really
precise parts. So depending on what
company I work for, I could be making,
you know, really precise,
you know, parts for rockets or something
like that or,
god forbid, bullet casings,
you know, it's just like it's metal
Probably nothing that cool. Maybe hinges
or something. Um,
Um,
yeah. No, I thought it was cool. I went
and looked at it.
Um, extremely expensive equipment.
I I feel like in by doing this,
you know, my uncle lived alone and never
had his own kids, right?
So I feel like in by doing this I'm
almost giving him a little bit of
legacy. I feel like I'm giving him something.
something.
Does that make sense? Um so it kind of
it sat with me well. Uh called him.
He seemed to think he told me I'd be
better at it than him. I don't know how
true that is. Um, Sinclair said nine out
of 10 of their students end up finding a
job before they even graduate.
And I can do either their 16 credit hour
program or their 30 credit hour program.
I think I'm just going to do the 30 and
then that'll be a whole year and I can
try getting a new job while I'm still in
school doing that.
Build that skill up. Um,
Um,
if you don't know how welding itself works,
works,
the little spark you see on the end, um,
that's not actually really like a full
tool. What that is is you're holding a
metal rod.
You're holding a metal rod
a circuit to it. So then you have
electricity feeding into the rod. And
once you take the end of that rod to
your metal, the electricity jumps from
the rod you're holding to the metal
itself. It creates an electric arc that
reaches over 5,000°.
And then what happens is that arc melts
the metal rod you're holding into the
metal you're touching it to.
And it's you kind of finesse a little
puddle into binding that metal together.
And that's how you can fully join two
separate pieces of metal into an actual
solid one piece of metal.
Um, and of course you have to learn a
lot of the science behind it. You know,
different qualities of different metals,
you know, tungsten, argon, and so forth.
Um, but that's really cool. Like I feel
like I could learn about that my whole life.
life. Um,
been exercising a bit really. My um,
my diet has been excellent. Sleep hasn't
been a problem. I've been up at 7:30
every day. Um, but my diet,
I'm weaning myself on a lot of tuna, a
lot of Greek yogurt.
Um, I eat for nutrition, or to feel
satiated now.
So, when I'm not at Chipotle, I'll eat
something just for nutrition. I eat
fajitas now, tomatoes, and corn. And I
didn't really care to get that before.
But to satiate myself,
I I kind of go for soups. I really like
something that makes me feel all nice,
warm, and relaxed.
I've been drinking green tea like it's
the end of the world. Um,
and that certainly helped um when I quit smoking
smoking
and I was having issues just controlling
my nerves. The green tea
really has been my best friend.
Speaking of friends, I made some new friends.
Um,
I met a guy named Matteo
through Jacob at Chipotle
and the three of us really hit it off.
which is a good show I'd never heard of before.
before.
Um, Drew and I I've spent some time with
Drew as well.
Drew and I went and got Wagu ramen,
and I had never felt so satiated after a
meal in my life. That's where the whole
eating to feel satiated thing came from.
It was just such It was such a crazy
feeling. My legs were damn near tingling.
tingling.
the credit score thing. I should have
mentioned this earlier. It turned out
that that was a misunderstanding on my part.
part.
The teller told me that my credit score
didn't go down because of a missed
student loan payment. He told me it went
down because my grandma opened a Target card,
card,
put me on it, and then she closed the
toward my credit was a closed credit account.
account.
So, that should not be a terrible fix. I
actually was able to bump my score up by
80 points,
that was cool.
I I don't like using my credit card a
Oh, reading.
I love reading. I love reading so much.
I've been rereading Aragon, which is
I would probably call it my all-time
favorite book. I've just been rereading Aragon,
Aragon,
reminding myself of this story, and I'm
probably gonna reread it again, but in
French, just to get my practice in,
get my
vocabulary improved. Um,
Um,
my mental acuity has done wonders.
Um, after I quit,
I you know, I didn't think that much
acuity was going to come to me,
but it did
it. I feel leagues different. I feel
Substantially different. I feel like I
can express myself now. I feel like I
can move my my hands when I talk.
I feel like I can actually get across
I'm laughing now. Like I just wasn't
really laughing a lot before.
Feels nice. I've spent a lot of time
with my grandma.
My grandma and I have been hanging out.
The only people I told we were on a
break, I only told Kaye
and I told my grandma. Um,
Um,
Drew might have been able to infer
something just cuz like
I don't know, he probably noticed a
behavior change, but I didn't tell him anything.
But, you know, it was cool that,
excuse me, it was cool that him and I
got to hang out a little more.
Um, I've missed you quite a bit.
I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed your trip.
I hope your parents are doing well, too. Um,
yeah. I um I'm here to
try to help give you what you want out
of this. And me, I mainly want just a
clear picture of
yeah.
I really appreciate you coming here to
talk to me. Um
Um
Sorry if I stirred any
anxiety or guilt in you,
especially with my letter. That really
wasn't my intention.
I just,
you know, you asked for space and I felt
like I was making great progress, but I
just didn't know how to talk to you.
But, you know, I'm sorry if that um
upset you or
I'm I'm sorry to hear that. Um, work has
really sucked and school's been busy.
No, the the Snapchat thing that was an
accident. I just I saw you were in
Florida and I was surprised. Um,
Um,
So, you're getting your own you're
moving into your own apartment very soon.
soon.
It's exciting.
Yeah, my chicken noodle soup. Holy hell.
I I didn't think it would come out as
good as it did, but it came out far
better than I expected. I felt bad. I
wanted to offer you some when you
mentioned you were sick, but I just I
don't know. I didn't think
I'll have to make it
next time. I used garlic. I used rosemary.
rosemary.
Little cilantro at the end. I used
boneless chicken thighs, but I'll use
bone in next time.
Do carrot,
bunch of celery.
It was phenomenal. It was so good. And
it's not even that hard either. I can
remember the whole I have the whole
recipe memorized.
Next time I think I'm going to try maybe
half a lime squeezed in for a little
acidity just to maybe bring everything
else out. I don't know if that'll
actually be good or not. Um, someone
else said a splash of soy sauce which
was really fascinating.
fascinating.
Maybe we'll experiment with that.
I'd like to try making other things, too.
too. Um,
okay. Now, I'm probably going to talk
about in regards to our script,
um, us not reconciling. So, here that is.
Maddie, I don't want to interfere with
your happiness. Okay,
I'll always be grateful for for the time
you spent with me. Thank you.
I can't say
that it was a bad relationship at all.
It went it was for me
for me it was very nice.
I think anyone would be lucky to spend
time with you.
Now, in regards to our script, I'm going
Manny, I'm sorry I stirred
stirred
that stress in you,
especially during a time where you were
I just I just hope I didn't interfere
with your life terribly
I do care about you a lot still and
I want to make this work.
And I want to do a better job at
listening to your needs
and hearing your needs in the first place.
And I'm probably going to try to do a
when things affect me.
But I'm a pretty resilient guy. At least
I think so.
Um, if you haven't if you still you
still need time to process, that's
that's more than okay
Um,
I'm probably going to keep working on my
my own habits,
Thank you for Thank you for talking to me.
me.
you you totally didn't have to give me
this meeting in person, but you cared
enough that you did, and I'm I'm
Um
And that should be probably that's
everything I have on my mind in regards
to saying her right now. I omitted the
bathroom comment thing because I just
don't even think it's necessary to bring
up at all.
Honestly, I might just omit it entirely.
I'm willing to
I don't want to hurt this I don't want
to hurt this girl. I've been talking for
