Arcadis is undergoing a significant transformation ("ONE" program) to consolidate its fragmented IT infrastructure and ERP systems into a single, unified platform. This initiative is crucial for enabling global collaboration, operational efficiency, and maintaining market leadership, with Mavim Rules playing a pivotal role in managing and governing these complex process changes.

The programme is called "ONE" and it means one IT infrastructure.
When we started the journey Arcadis had 80 IT infrastructures and even as many ERP systems.
You can't collaborate, you can't be the global player if you have that in place.
So we need to transform ourselves with one programme, becoming one company with one IT infrastructure and with one ERP system.
We only think we can become the leader and stay the leader by collaboration.
Collaboration by people, collaboration by systems and collaboration by processes.
And that's were Mavim Rules is paramount for us.
We use Rules as part of our ERP implementation not just from the project perspective but also the post go-live support.
Our added value we find in Mavim is two-fold. During a project it helps us to guide and structure our project endeavour
in configuration and documentation and once we are live which we are now for more than two years
we also use it in the end-user support, so they find their work instructions, and it helps us understand our impact on change.
Obviously we continue to change our processes and our environment
and with Mavim Rules we much better understand the impact of those changes and are able to guide them.
Now that we are live we have established a Business Process Management Organisation.
This organisation helps us to identify opportunities for improvement and assess impact of change.
Mavim Rules obviously is a foundation which helps us to, on one hand, identify the opportunity,
size the impact of the change and secure the objectives once the change has been made.
If you look at the ONE IHC Merwede programme, you should realise that we are streamlining all of our operations.
So we're looking at a very comprehensive set of processes.
The question arises, can we use a simpler tool like Excel or Word to write down our processes,
but you should realise that we're looking at many thousands of pages of total specification,
and all of that is unmanageable from a standard Office Suite, so we do need a Business Process Modelling Suite.
We've selected Mavim to be the toolkit to lay down the uniform process of IHC Merwede,
not only with the purpose to introduce the new ICT tools that we're going to introduce
,but also for the future governance of the processes.
