0:01 hey my name is artto I'm a native
0:04 English speaker and I went from B1 to C1
0:06 in one year without living abroad so
0:08 this video is a recording of a webinar I
0:11 didn't inside my private community and
0:13 in this recording I will tell you what
0:15 is stopping you right now and what you
0:17 need to do in order to become fluent in
0:20 one year enjoy so the problem right now
0:23 does feel like relatable for you guys so
0:25 it still feels hard to learn English
0:27 like you're still making mistakes maybe
0:29 you still maybe feel shy of your accent
0:31 right you uh fear making mistakes in
0:33 front of other people maybe right so it
0:35 kind of feels difficult kind of feels
0:37 hard uh sometimes you can't really
0:38 articulate your thoughts in a good way
0:40 it's like you know English you
0:42 understand English but talking about
0:45 your ideas is hard it can be hard right
0:47 so maybe you want to start a business
0:48 maybe you want to talk with native
0:49 speakers maybe you want to start
0:52 traveling maybe get a good job but it
0:54 just seems impossible right so uh guys
0:57 does it feel relatable can you like um
1:01 maybe say or comment in the chat
1:03 yes yes yeah yeah that's great that's
1:07 great so um it could be literal trauma
1:10 so like bear with me okay so um there's
1:12 like the thing called childhood trauma
1:15 right so childhood trauma starts in
1:17 childhood right so it's like your
1:18 parents say to you that we don't have
1:21 money son uh you're a failure like I
1:22 wish you were not born right or
1:24 something like this or maybe like don't
1:26 talk to Timmy right because he's a bad
1:28 guy right and it's like you have this
1:30 trauma for the rest of your life and you
1:31 avoid timis let's say or maybe you're
1:33 scared of dogs when you were a child
1:35 right so there's a lot of things that
1:37 could happen or maybe um let's say your
1:39 friend say says to you that she doesn't
1:42 like you and so you develop like social
1:44 anxiety and stuff right so this is
1:45 trauma in
1:47 childhood and it's like also like I'm
1:48 not good enough or something like this
1:51 so this like trauma in childhood but it
1:53 also could be English trauma right so it
1:55 sounds just the same as childhood trauma
1:57 because like in school or maybe
1:59 somewhere else where you've been like
2:01 learning Eng before people say to you
2:03 don't say it this way say it this way
2:05 instead you have bad pronunciation your
2:07 English like sucks you're a bad student
2:10 and maybe they say to you that that's
2:12 wrong like don't say that they say it
2:14 this way instead right and so you
2:16 develop this fear you develop this fear
2:18 of making mistakes you develop this fear
2:20 of just speaking in English it becomes
2:21 harder for you to articulate your
2:23 thoughts because you start thinking
2:25 about English right you're not thinking
2:27 in English you're thinking about English
2:30 so it becomes a lot more difficult and
2:32 you just start thinking that well I will
2:34 never become fluent so it could be
2:36 because of school right maybe you
2:38 learned that back in school it was like
2:41 super depressing in school um maybe had
2:45 a good teacher but still it was kind of
2:48 boring you you were always punished for
2:49 mistakes and so maybe had like this
2:52 English trauma when you were a child or
2:53 maybe when you were when you started
2:57 learning English right so um a famous
2:59 expert in teaching English like this guy
3:02 named named AG hog right said that
3:04 psychology is more important than
3:06 grammar and vocabulary when it comes to
3:09 learning English so I completely agree
3:11 with his statement because well it's
3:14 like if you have the wrong mindset or
3:17 the wrong psychology if you think bad
3:18 things about your English well you're
3:21 not going to become fluent right so it's
3:23 more important to actually develop the
3:26 right psychology the right mindset when
3:28 it comes to learning English and also
3:30 like get rid of your English chaa or
3:32 childhood trauma right so do you really
3:34 need therapy to become fluent that's a
3:37 good question and you know there's like
3:39 a thing called Dog therapy yeah that's a
3:41 funny picture it's like um some people
3:43 say that they're scared of dogs maybe
3:45 that came from childhood like you you
3:47 when you were a child you said that well
3:51 I'm scared of dogs I can't uh I can't uh
3:54 go out with your dog because it's it's
3:55 so scary like I don't want
3:58 to I don't want to see dogs and stuff
4:01 right and so but then after 30 days it's
4:03 like if a person spends 30 days with
4:05 dogs he does like some stuff with them
4:07 maybe plays with them maybe goes out
4:10 with them for walks right um or maybe
4:13 does some different activities he is
4:15 going to completely change his um
4:17 opinion about dogs and attitude about
4:20 dogs he's going to think that oh well
4:22 they're so cute I love dogs I love
4:24 playing with dogs uh they're so like
4:27 cute I I want to hug them I want to pet
4:28 them I want to be with them right so
4:30 it's a completely different thing thing
4:32 and well with English it's literally the
4:34 same thing right so it's like when I
4:36 started learning English I was honestly
4:39 scared of English so it's like this is
4:41 me this is my photo when I was on the
4:43 first call right when I was doing like
4:46 the first call online and I was I was
4:48 super nervous I was sweating literally
4:51 like I had sweat dripping from my face
4:54 right and I I just wanted to end the
4:58 call I just honestly I I just I was like
4:59 I just want to kill myself at this I was
5:01 just wanting to kill myself at this
5:04 moment you know I felt really awkward
5:07 but then after 30 days of speaking in
5:09 English um I just completely changed
5:12 right so I created my own Community I
5:13 started speaking to people in English
5:15 and now I just can't stop speaking in
5:17 English you know it's like sometimes
5:22 people just can't um how do I say yeah
5:24 it's like I just can't speak stop I I
5:25 just can't stop speaking in English I do
5:27 it all the time instead of speaking in
5:29 my native language because it's just
5:31 more comfortable for me now so it's like
5:33 I went through this therapy and it was
5:35 just like speaking for 30 days in front
5:37 of other people and on camera as well
5:39 but especially when I started speaking
5:41 to people that's what really helped me
5:44 so I went on a lot of calls one time I
5:46 literally baked
5:49 um Pancakes on a CO with guys so there's
5:52 like a picture the left one right also I
5:55 did a lot of calls in my community uh
5:57 with my mentor with my students and
5:58 stuff like that right and so that
6:01 completely changed how I view English
6:04 learning right so the real lesson here
6:07 was the fact that it's not just about
6:09 like talking to chat GPT or talking on
6:11 camera or recording videos on YouTube
6:13 it's about uh real practice because
6:15 first I was scared to speak English like
6:18 I spoke English for one hour per week
6:20 then I became a bit more productive when
6:22 I created my own YouTube channel when I
6:23 started speaking to chbt when I started
6:27 speaking on camera and and I was still
6:28 uh scared to speak with other people it
6:30 was still difficult for me so I could
6:33 spend a bit more time on learning
6:36 English I spend 2 hours per week so I
6:37 was recording my videos so that's why I
6:39 spent a bit more time speaking in
6:42 English right but then something changed
6:44 something transformational happened and
6:46 had unlimited motivation I had no
6:48 barriers for learning English and I
6:50 could speak English 14 hours every day
6:52 right I found a way I found a cheat code
6:55 how to do that right and so the thing
6:57 that actually helped me was the
7:00 community right so it's like I made this
7:01 video about 14 hours a day how to speak
7:03 English 14 hours a day and stuff like
7:05 that and it's just because I've created
7:07 my own Community right so I said in this
7:09 video that I've created my own Community
7:11 where I started talking with people and
7:12 that's how I was able to speak 14 hours
7:15 a day so before I had a I had a
7:18 community I couldn't speak English but
7:19 with the community that's what I like
7:22 started speaking right so it's like you
7:24 don't need a therapist or we don't need
7:26 a therapist we need a community right so
7:28 I mean we are a part of the community
7:31 right now right and so here's what
7:33 others people other people actually did
7:36 in our community so d uh David David
7:38 right he joined our community a few
7:41 months ago and he started going on calls
7:45 so he was not super confident when um I
7:47 went on the first call with him
7:48 sometimes I didn't understand him
7:50 sometimes he didn't understand me so it
7:51 was a bit difficult to understand each
7:54 other right but now he talks to native
7:57 speakers every day and he's actually
7:59 growing his own business you know he has
8:01 his own business I mean he's kind of
8:04 only on the first steps right now but
8:06 you know he made a lot of progress and
8:10 so that's really awesome for him right
8:11 and it's just because he joined the
8:13 community and just started going on call
8:15 started actually talking with real
8:18 people not just with ch GPT right so
8:23 also Miguel y Kim yeah Yim um saver Sam
8:26 and APO were also not confident speaking
8:28 in English right but when they found our
8:30 community I mean you have the Kim uh was
8:32 recording videos before our community I
8:34 believe but he started posting more
8:36 consistently after he joined right so
8:37 it's like they found our community and
8:38 they recorded their first video in
8:40 English and it's no longer a problem for
8:42 them to speak on camera I mean maybe
8:45 it's still a problem but um now they
8:49 just don't feel that same level of they
8:51 don't see they don't feel like the same
8:53 hidden wall they don't feel like there's
8:56 like a big barrier right for them so
8:57 when they found our community they
8:58 recorded their first video in English
9:00 and now they feel a lot more confident
9:02 talking to people talking on camera and
9:04 like can you imagine like um they
9:06 created their own YouTube channel and in
9:07 a couple of months there's going to be
9:09 thousands of people who watch them so
9:10 it's like an entire Stadium of people
9:13 who watches them speaking English right
9:15 and they were not confident to begin
9:16 with right and they couldn't speak
9:20 fluent English so also Matel so we have
9:23 a guy in our community his name is Matel
9:26 and on the first call it was really
9:28 awkward right our first call was a bit
9:32 awkward when we started right but then
9:34 um in a couple of months when he joined
9:35 the calls when he started speaking to
9:38 real people not just to chpt and stuff
9:42 um he sang the song via on camera like
9:44 in English and made a post about this
9:46 like this is just crazy the the level of
9:48 confidence that he gained is just
9:50 amazing right he was able to sing a song
9:52 in English without a problem right I
9:54 mean he did make mistakes when he was
9:57 singing but it was still something
9:59 awesome right so others did it too like
10:03 other people Hugo enri Krishna Michelle
10:06 Sabrina hongas Thomas so who is on the
10:10 call today um I guess niiko yeah like a
10:11 lot of people as you can see a lot of
10:14 people are did it they improv their
10:16 English like probably have your own
10:19 story to tell right and so also it's
10:21 like it it wouldn't happen without the
10:25 internet right so the communities are so
10:27 powerful because there's internet right
10:30 so we can connect together
10:33 worldwide literally so um a couple weeks
10:36 ago actually two weeks ago um one of our
10:38 community members and uh she was a
10:41 subscriber of my channel Kate um wrote
10:43 me a message not a message but like a
10:45 comment on one of my YouTube videos and
10:47 she said that are you planning to do any
10:49 meetups here locally so in say in my
10:51 town right and we literally met each
10:53 other in real life we practiced our
10:55 English and had a really good time
10:57 together so yeah it's really awesome
10:59 when you can actually like meet people
11:02 in real life and just talk to them in
11:04 English like that's when you become
11:06 confident and fluent in English and you
11:08 just stop fearing speaking in English
11:11 right and so um I did the same thing
11:13 with my friends I found them on on a
11:16 self-improvement community online so it
11:17 was a community about self-improvement
11:19 and it was in English right so we
11:22 literally met each other in real life um
11:24 we rented a house together and we were
11:25 living in this house we were practicing
11:29 our English we were um talking about
11:31 different stuff in English right we had
11:35 a job we like we were developing our
11:37 different Ventures businesses and stuff
11:40 like that we were going on runs going to
11:42 the gym and stuff so it was super fun
11:45 right so this is the power of internet
11:48 and actually to heal your English trauma
11:50 what you need to do is to First forget
11:52 about grammar forget about school forget
11:53 about all of that stuff right because
11:56 it's a thing of the past right now
11:57 people actually learn English with a
11:59 different method right they immerse
12:00 themselves in English then just be
12:02 positive about learning English because
12:05 if you think that oh well I can't learn
12:06 English you know it's going to take me a
12:09 couple of years uh I don't know I'm not
12:11 confident I'm an introvert I can't do
12:13 that it's like of course you can't do
12:15 that because you're negative about this
12:17 right but as soon as you become positive
12:19 as soon as you say that well maybe I'm
12:21 nervous a bit when I'm speaking but
12:22 maybe I'm not nervous I'm actually
12:25 excited to speak right it feels exciting
12:28 for me to speak in English and so just
12:29 be positive then find a community of
12:32 people so in your case guys you are a
12:35 part of our community right so this is
12:36 this is the step you've completed
12:38 already right so it's like all these
12:40 three steps uh you've completed them
12:42 right and there's also the third step
12:45 which is work together on one goal right
12:48 so working together on one goal is
12:51 really important right because when you
12:54 don't have a goal uh it's like you don't
12:56 you just don't know what to do right
12:58 it's like of course we all have the same
13:00 goal which is to learn English but we
13:02 are working separately we all practice
13:05 English um in our own home we don't talk
13:06 with each other when we practicing
13:08 English maybe we go on speaking calls
13:10 but we definitely need an update for
13:12 this right so let's unite let's work
13:14 together on one goal literally like
13:16 let's like climb a mountain or do
13:18 something right so then I talked about
13:19 the updates inside of the community so
13:21 if you're interested you can check it
13:23 out in the description and I hope you
13:25 really enjoyed this video comment down
13:27 below what is your favorite tip or your
13:28 favorite advice you got from this video
