What kind of knowledge do you have about carbon footprint reduction technologies?
On the basis of Goal 11 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals proposed by the United Nations (UN),
a number of resources are provided to address this problem.
In this video we're going to present you three resources
that might be useful to find a solution to this problem.
The first resource we are going to show is Ecosia
Ecosia (just like Google) is an internet search engine
that takes advantage of the revenue generated by ads in searches,
using it to plant trees around the world.
The trees are planted in areas where profit is most needed.
For instance, in countries like Peru, Uganda, Nicaragua, Brazil, and many others.
Did you know that shopping through Amazon or other digital platforms causes pollution?
There is an app called Greenly that can help you avoid polluting when you shop online.
This app records the effect you produce on the environment when shopping online and paying with card,
and when you reduce emissions produced by online purchases,
the app will return a small amount of money to you.
You probably know ChatGPT,
but did you know that there is an AI tool whose aim is to reduce the carbon footprint?
It's a software capable of measuring the amount of carbon dioxide produced by computers to execute the code,
anabling software developers to optimize the work.
On the other hand, advises them on how to reduce emissions by choosing cloud infrastructure
located in regions that use energy sources with less carbon footprint.
So, after examining the tools we have seen,
