Habaneros normally when you when you
feel it well it could weigh between 10
grams and 30 grams the heaviest is 30
you could weigh 30 grams but I don't use
an average of 15. I use the lowest of
10. so say you are having one foot being
10 grams
and then you pick 10 from each of the
mistakes that's a hundred grams so 100
grams times 25 000.
000.
and that'll be [Music]
[Music]
exactly so you divide that by a thousand
that's a kilo okay and you have to sell
them you have to sell a kilo for 30 cedis
cedis
20 000. no it's crazy amount so let's
say even on each of the acre you get a
ton so that's like 2.5 tons so 30 series
times 2.5 tons a ton is 30 000 2660 000
half that's like 15 so that's like 75
and you're harvesting every week [Applause]
[Music]
what's going on guys welcome back to
another exciting families in Ghana
today's our first time seeing me I'm
Charles another Channel we talk about
our culture here in Africa so yeah I'm still
still
on Lenny's Farm we've had a conversation
with him we had a farm tour if you check
those videos you can go and check it out
in this video I'm going to learn how to
grow Habaneros yeah I've spoken several
times about how profitable is just
making 5K in a week if you are if you
make a ton and stuff look at that but if
not check those ones you can go and
check it so I know most of you'll be
interested in how to grow these
Habaneros what is even the habaneras
weapon he's talking about yeah that's
what we're going to look at in this
video I'm going to look at how to grow
it right from the seedling stage so the
point is transplanted the farm
management practices whatever you're
supposed to know about
growing up Habaneros that's what this
video is going to be focused on so
before we get into the video please like
these videos subscribe and share this is
an easy way to get most of this
information for free by visiting these
people and I'm giving you this
information please subscribe to the channel
channel
like this video and share to other
people who want to start their own Farms
if you don't know what to go into you
can try the Habaneros out and try it out
I also make profitable and gains from it
so right let's get right into the video
oh yeah yeah I'm here with Lily yeah I
had to look at
um how to grow the Habaneros as you said
it's not something that is most people
are into so it's like counting you maybe
Ghana we are trying to like go
so this this you don't look at how you
can grow Habaneros from the energy the
seedling stage before you do the
transplanting so yeah actually in the
greenhouse let us know how to go about
it right from the beginning
this is an issue house action this is
not a greenhouse okay
okay so habanero is a spicy
um aromatic or Hot Chili Peppers
they have ascorvic Hill unit uh Scoville
Scoville heat units of between hundred
thousand to 500 000. that's how hot they
are okay okay we have other hot peppers
Carolina Reapers and all those ghost
peppers ghost peppers are habaners okay
they are very hot but the ones we go
here are lolisa [Music]
[Music]
and I think that's that's those two okay
I'm becoming various colors yellow red
orange pink depending on the variety you
use depending on the variety you use
okay so on on this Farm we have just the
yellows and then the Reds now for you to
have a successful habanero from your
Nursery is of utmost importance you you
need to have a very great Nursery to
to seedling to be able to have a good
produce okay now a lot of people would
rather have unless it's on the floor
so they they do something like raised
beds and some use sunk in beds but
depending on where they are okay raise
Birds to nurse
that is also an option but to look at
how much you are paying for a seed
and then to gamble it on the floor it's
not very advisable
I think
100 pieces now is like 50 cedis okay it
used to be 35 but nice 50 Series
everything is going up yeah yeah see
this it's got absolutely depreciation
everything is going up
so to to be able to have a good energy
you need a nursery shade you don't
necessarily have to build a nursery
house like this this progression this is good
good
you start in bits Eddie hard grow lights
okay in his house in his bedroom to
nurse purpose and I think they did very
very well we're not looking at his farm
it was nice okay so you can have energy
cage a normal cage small cage where you
could keep seed trees so these are
Citrus and then these things are potent
mixed cocoa Pizza okay largely
um coconut husk and
orange fiber we are made to understand
that's what they use for Cocoa picks
okay but if yeah so one thing if you're
unless doing the energy can you use a
normal soil you can but it's not advisable
advisable
um somebody tried it and didn't go well
Okay the reason is that you don't know
the fungi or the bacteria in the soil
you've not treated it so you put the
seed inside it doesn't germinate you get
angry the seeds are not good
but you didn't do it well so it's
advisable to use the cocoa pics you put
the cocoaput in the tree but before you
even put them in a tree Sometimes They
Come dry
so at least make it moist no worries no
watching make it moist
you make it moist you put it inside that
you feel the sea trees with them okay
then you drop a seed per hole
after that you could just water them
here what we do is after we Nest them
after we seed them we cover
all the seed trees with the black
polythene you could see on the floor
okay we're having a black pollutants
it's believed that it's it keeps it
moist and then the peppers the seed
shoots out early again it's dependent on
where you are in the water reason I
didn't use rubbers I use Rags so I
Crystal Water
their peppers from the top of the rag
and it still goes in sure sure if you worked
worked
because he is hot so if you lose black
rubber in a hot space you would
understand what they are doing so you'll
clearly see why these ones have not even
come out yet they will come but the same
thing that happened to this one the old
combats it will take your time generally
what's how long does anything for you to
germinate three to four days you should
see your paper Sprouts now so
in the in the third week after its
geminates after it's it's out what you
do is that you put them outside for
um to to to to
harden them it's called the hardening
period okay so the seeds were not
breeded in Ghana they are still
distributed in there so they are not
used to know they are not used to our
conditions so you need to get them used
to our conditions so here the advantage
is that the the heat is actually getting
them used to the condition so I can send
them directly and nothing happens to
them but in places like axism where is
cold or in the water engine where it's
also cool okay you would have to harden
them so you put them in the sun timely
that's a seat or like the seedlings
that's when they are in their third week
of of Gemination so you put them there
you you time them like the first week
the first day it goes maybe 30 minutes
so at the Sunday they get used to the
Sun the second day it goes maybe an hour
then subsequently it could go
a whole day then it gets used to the
weather yeah then in the fourth week you
can transplant them now in in the
nursery process you could either use
1919 mpk 1919 so that you could have
very thick stems it's very important to
have ethic stems sure sure and how long
do you have to nurse them for before
four weeks since well a month how you
could go to your exam just
like three weeks old oh so it'll be
translated very soon yeah after the new
field right yes yes
once the place is merged we'll be transplanted
transplanted
so after you you nurse them
four weeks and you could you could get
them transplanted okay okay so when I
transplant you March before you
transplant yeah we merge before we
transplant I thought you just plants
when they're coming for you no no no no
we merge before you transplant we merge
have holes just get holes in there much
okay transplant
okay okay
last time now looking at the this
Nursery house
um how much we say it's cost to put up
something like this
anyway I have this look okay thank you
thank you thank you thank you sure sure
and like this
this this one you could get one for the
entire place but it's okay you can just
rip them apart this one is like 500 series
so you need all these things to at least
be able to get like a good Nursery you
can use mosquito Nets you can use the
door Nets but
longevity they will not assure you of
that giving our weather changes in the
Heats and then water will get on even
greenhouses get done over time so
imagine if you use
even the trapdoors in your house they
get done under here now you can imagine
if you use that for such a thing so if
you if you buy this this lasts you maybe
five six years before you do another one
okay so for a beginner like maybe me
while I'm starting how if I want to do
my own Nursery watching the advice for
other options that I can use that would
be less expensive to start using for a
beginner like you are the advise that
you go to Orlando Ghana for them to nest
for your first couple of seats okay so
they do the energy too yes they do next
year okay I may do nursery for sale
maybe if I if I get if I need money I
will do nursery for sale but how long
you take that but for anyone who wants
to do a farm I would advise that you
actually have your own Nursery house or
your own Nursery case in that you are
you are learning farming is a learning
curve it's a learning process you make
all the mistakes if you know you want to
grow papers for a first timer three
months is is an okay learning period for
us three months so you could have
um a small Nursery shirt maybe a 10
Fitness we shared that could carry maybe
20 or 10 secrets you grow it's on a very
small piece of land
to experience it then you can go bigger
if you go big and you lose
how would you go again always advise you
are starting something just as small
what's the mistakes definitely mistakes
that you do as time goes on you get the
experience you think you can afford an
agronomist yes you can go 100 acres and
then plan an agronomist to be on the
farm to be on the farm for you you pay
him well at least 6K a month it's not
the agronomist is a crop doctor to be
just like
your medical doctors if they don't pay
them well sorry for them but in the farm
we expect that everybody's video
once they are doing their job right make
sure that you pay them to motivate them
to do it well for you yeah because as I
said it's very profitable and once you
do you get them to grow well and stuff
you sell you make your money to everyone
it's a win-win for everyone you don't
even feel the pain I get you okay for a
beginner I can't place this kid are you
how are they starting with your own Farm
yeah so for a beginner you have to be smart
smart
you have to be friend you are going to
miss and making my brother like coffee
like what you did yeah so you don't pay
him sure but you pay as time goes on you
understand definitely definitely yeah
definitely okay so is that what we're
the energy is that you can know how from
here we go to the so you can that's
that's basically with it you can use
1919 like I said to water it but that's
not every day that's maybe every other
day so you water today with normal water
so normally that's what we do in the
farm we we apply fertilizers we don't
apply consecutive fertilizers we don't
apply fertilizer today tomorrow no okay
you can apply for like that today it
will take us a week to apply fertilizer
again all those times you are applying
just water so the water washes away the
fertilizer recipes that we don't need
okay so it's the same thing with the the
nursery you apply your 1919 the next day
you use normal water to water so that it
washes the one that it's not used
down some people use 1919 others use map
I use both to do it and crops for
instance when you see a crop the color
of the leaf will tell you what's wrong
with it the color of the lid will tell
you what you need this one is dehydrated
it's water
you'll see the size of the leaf energy
oh you need calcium nitrate you need a
nitrate it's it's divisions in potassium
so with all those things come with time
you experience me I see my crops and I
know this is wrong with it you tell me
what is wrong with your crops there are
certain things families do that we I
don't like and the agronomers also say
they don't like it they take a picture
and send it to you ah please don't do
that okay don't take a picture and send
to me and don't say anything
I don't know what is wrong with it
oh this is my capsicum this is my green
pepper plants the leaves are Kelly it's
shiny at the back it's dying there is a
black there's a white white things when
I have it then I'll tell you oh okay
nematodes are in oh uh trips or water
then I can tell you what is wrong you
should give me specifics if without that
can help okay sure so I think from here
we can go today
the main floor rights yes of course but
okay so yeah should go along in the video
okay so we are here on the on the main
field right
um we look at the Leisure how you nest
after four weeks you do the
transplanting yeah and also made mention
that you mulch before you transplant
yeah okay okay sure so yeah when you are
here what are the things you're supposed
to do before or possibly after I'm
watching before you drag transplanting
do you do any otherwise you see it's
needed to be done here on the main field
okay so normally
you would have to
yeah you would have to use um what's the
name um cow dunk we use cow dung here
you can use poetry menu but I'll use cow
then so in using the accountant you mix
with neem cake just to reduce the to
fight the fungi infestation of bacteria
in the soil not not really the soil but
in the soil okay okay so like normal
then you have your irrigation done with
your sub means and then drip lines
connected okay you bring the peppers
then you mulch of course so these are
so you mush you you bought the holes
inside there
the motion people use their hands some
others have some sharp objects they use
so you will find some of the holes being
very secular some of them just being
anyhow you got tired we thought
we got ahead and toilet sure okay so you
march then you get your papers
transplanted nice we don't actually have
a particular time to transplant but
coffee prefers to transplant at 2 pm 2
p.m the sun had been hot whatever
bacteria is in the ground it's killed [Music]
[Music]
but before he even transplants he allows
water on the bed for almost 2-3 hours to
get the land wet so even if you plant
tattoo nothing happens not no shock
nothing nice
so you transplant them and begin to
water at once so the first week keep
giving it water water after the first
week that's when you start to apply
whatever fertilizer you want to use
normally the fertilizers we use on the
farm is monoammonium phosphate magnesium sulfate
sulfate um
um
calcium nitrate so these ones are used
when you are on the land yes [Music]
[Music]
very small even in 1990 like a teaspoon
in one in a teaspoon you know is it a
teaspoon less than a teaspoon inside a
washing can okay
just to balance it small sometimes so
here is where you apply your fertilizers
and the fertilizer now applied manually
to do fatigation
we put the fertilizers inside the poly
tank then we allow it to drip down
trickle down just like we are watching
okay so the watching here is not done
it's not sprinkled it's not manual it's
drips and bits and dots yes inside so
you actually get the police weight so
the drip lines are such that the water
can wet the whole length of the Jeep
line so even if the pepper is not on the
drip line and it gets enough water it
will still grow it will get enough water
to go so
you that's basically how it is so the
Habaneros how long does it
um does it take for it to reach a
maturity that you say from next routine
yes four months so a month in energy
three months on the field then it begins
to food and how long can you food to the point
you could go over here
but obviously the quality of the foods foreign
[Music]
of them after
Wards that's at least so when when we
grow them in the in the third week into
the fourth week
you realize they have a lot of other
branches the idea is
a lot of people disagree with me
Selassie doesn't agree with me
are things that I should leave the
branches to grow because more branches
more flowers more fruits yeah but then
again you are looking at longevity okay
so you prune them you prune them and
just give these two to to do whatever
they do because they keep going and they
keep dividing keep dividing so you
realize that this one divided into two
this one has already had two yeah so it
keeps it keeps going with that it gives
you Longevity if you are applying
fertilizer you shouldn't come here it
should go straight to those people they
should just get the food at the top we
don't need them at the size so you prune
them we have
something we call pruning shares okay so
we use it to cut them it's just like a
scissors use them to cut the sides of
the peppers just to allow them so if
here used to be very crowded like very
bushy but we pruned them
last week into this week when you look
in it so they they are even the leaves
are becoming more broad so you you think
it's not even done pruning pruning has
actually taken place okay okay so
someone watching us they're mulching
and him I don't know the purpose or the
reason why you've watched this maybe you
can never do translation and you know
okay so why do you what is the need for
the mulching to be done so you would
realize that I'm picking out the grass
from a place that there was not a much
or the most got done okay if there was
no much it would be the grass would grow
just like this which would mean which
would mean you controlling the grass
timing time out and that's expensive not
only financially but time and
because you are looking at doing other
things on the farm but you keep holding
your farm every day you'd have a work to
do in the farm I mean while there's
already work to do on the farm every day
and you want to add more so with this
one it prevents the grass from growing
it also keeps moisture in the in the
soil for the for the plants okay okay so
as compared to you living on a bed line
no mulching this is better this is better
better
okay how many times you um water the the
crops you during Hamilton [Music]
[Music]
so I should be yeah
it gets to a point you don't even water
them for maybe a couple of days maybe a
day to what these ones we stopped them
for like three days before we started to
water them again they don't need much
water or they need matches vegetables
generally like balance okay just like
tomatoes when there is too much water
the tomatoes plants will be there when
you give you too little water will still
die so you need to find a balance it's
the same thing with purpose you just
have to find a balance the same thing
with ginger you need to find a balance
okay okay
lucky so after you've gone to this point
in time no matter when you come to the
farm let's take us through a day on the
farm when you can watch other things
that you do
normal audience from early in the morning
morning
you get water into your poly tank if you
are going to apply fertilizer you apply
fertilizer you chew the poly tank okay
investigation if you are going to
spray insecticides or fungicides
normally on the farm we do preventive
preventive such that we don't wait till
the insects come at us okay before we
spray them
maybe once a week we apply our
insecticides once a week we apply
fungicides just so we don't get them to
to attack okay if if a disease catches
you before you try to cure it's very
difficult but you prevent it
not exactly okay so on a normal day with water
water
then it is the responsibility of use the
Pharma that is the joy in the in the
farm okay to have a time with your crops
you have conversation with them all you
do is you calm down sometimes you look
at the back of your leaves or maybe
inserts you pick grasses that go around
so whilst you are watching if your farm
on my first time I think we have it we
had 8 000 ceilings there was a friend of
mine called bright
he looks at every single one of the
papers every day if we go too far wow he
had the time
well I've never done that before
okay let me ask this very important
question because some of you guys might
be watching this video for the first
time do not check out the other videos
let's look at the profit potential of this
it's almost like a hectare yes and how
many plants of the
um Habaneros do we have on this Farm you
25
000 25
000 wow
wow okay which which all right what's
planted this dance was used
in 30 centimeters eight centimeters
between each group yeah okay and if you
have to harvest how many bags do you win
them I'm running back right yes
Habaneros normally when you when you
feed it well you could weigh between 10
grams and 30 grams the heaviest 30 grams
you could weigh 30 grams but I don't use
an average of 15. I use the lowest of
10. so say you are having one foot being
10 grams
and then you pick 10 from each of the
mistakes that's a hundred grams so 100
grams times 25 000.
000.
that'll be [Music]
exactly so you divide that by a thousand
that's a kilo okay
okay
and you got to sell them you have to
sell a kilo for 30 cedis
no it's crazy amount so let's see even
on each other you get a ton so that's
like 2.5 tons so 30 series times 2.5
tons a ton is thirty thousand two times
sixty thousand half that's like 15 so
that's like uh 75
000 Ghana cedis a week that's if you
haven't seen a week if you have you and
you're harvesting every week
every every week you do the harvesting
you have estimates every time [Music]
[Music]
every week you harvest
it starts to so it doesn't even start
from return it starts from maybe 10
kilos 20 kilos then it picks [Music]
who are more than a stone but we
basically we put it at a turn
so that you pick so that one means
you're picking only 10 feet a week
you can cancel the number of flowers on
each plant already that's more than
so if it speaks when it goes big and he
picks you can imagine an amount of roots
it can even be sitting on three-handed
food so you're picking
wow you live there then come every we
just pick 10 and go
so that's like a 75k a week on Two and a
Half it is nice nice as if you have your
constant market supply that's before
that you supply chain exactly so if you spent
spent
uh 125k in two weeks you have made your
money back
okay okay okay but that is if you are
I want you to be able to eat
so if I sell it at this it is how much
would they sell it to you to it
so I'll sell it cheaper than that okay
that mostly most people are not green
they have an arrow so like so for these
are just a few so it means the pricing
is quite good from those who bites
that's what we are trying to discourage
we don't want it to make it look like
because a lot of people are not growing
it that's why the Price Is Right we are
costing it because of the stress in the
work okay that is the thing it's the
stress and the amount we employ
because sometimes you could even see a
50k or do your farm you have neglected
basic ones like he's going to buy water
is they brought food to the farm if not
puts all these things into context
all this could go
okay okay okay if you want to know for
new beginners watching us who want to
start their own having Eros Farms like
you have here what are some Do's that
don'ts that they should take note of
before they start yeah
we always have um soil testing done
always attend seminars
on Habaneros watch a lot of YouTube
videos YouTube is a whole university on
his own yeah yeah you don't get
certification for your party you learn a
host of things people don't get to learn
in their everyday lives yeah [Music]
[Music] um
um
make sure you get the guidance of an
agronomist visit as much habanero Farms
you can visit and don't be scared to
feel you feel less part of the process
so I'm scared you won't feel you have an
agonomy also but just don't be scared to
feel okay
right I think um this will end out the
video here I think it's spoken
extensively about habanera's farm from
the nursery to this point because any
other question you want to ask uh we can
drop us in the comment section
I would reach out to him to let him answer
answer
you'll be the conversation to answer is
to be in the description side
um you can reach out to him I'll be
willing to answer those who have
questions to ask those who want to reach
out to you for anything that they need
okay okay sure so yeah that end this
video make sure you like comment share
and subscribe
share these videos to other people to
get to learn more about Habanero's farm
and see the exciting things what I'm
doing here
in Ghana sure I'll see you guys in the
