0:08 right place because in this video I am
0:10 going to share five proven tactics that
0:12 you can use to grow on any social media
0:14 channel today obviously I can't promise
0:17 immediate growth however I have tried
0:18 these tactics myself my clients have
0:20 tried these tactics and they've seen
0:22 some great results so let's not dilly
0:23 dally let's get straight into the video
0:25 but before we do that please do not
0:26 forget to hit the Subscribe button if
0:28 you haven't already because I upload new
0:30 content just like this every single week
0:32 okay I'm just gonna dive right into the
0:34 good stuff the first tactic is called
0:36 super short videos now I hope you have a
0:39 pencil and paper pen and paper just
0:41 something to write down
0:42 um because I'm going to go into detail
0:44 with this one right so let's get ready
0:46 essentially what this tactic involves is
0:48 creating a short form vertical piece of
0:51 content so if you're on YouTube that's a
0:52 YouTube show if you're on Tick Tock it's
0:54 just a tick tock if you're on Instagram
0:56 it's an Instagram reel for example
0:58 creating this content in a very specific
0:59 way that is designed to reach a lot of
1:01 people when you reach a lot of people
1:03 with your social media content you
1:05 increase the chances of you growing so
1:07 how do we go about making this magical
1:09 short form video that reaches a lot of
1:11 people well the first thing you want to
1:14 do is capture a video that features you
1:17 doing something fairly monotonous so is
1:19 monotonous a word
1:21 yes it is a word also how British did I
1:23 sound when I just said that sometimes I
1:25 just feel like I sound like a British
1:27 child from like the 70s anyway so film
1:29 yourself doing something monotonous for
1:31 example I often film myself whilst I'm
1:33 working so you can see me but I'm not
1:35 doing anything that's too wild or too
1:36 distracting from the video another
1:38 example is you walking towards the
1:40 camera or walking away from the camera
1:42 you doing something which again isn't
1:44 too wild and distracting but it does
1:46 feature you and your faith in it the
1:48 next thing you want to do is you want to
1:50 put some text over that video and
1:53 ideally the text needs to be valuable in
1:54 some way now there are loads of
1:55 different ways that you provide value in
1:57 your content but for this tactic you
1:59 want the text to either be inspirational
2:02 or educational so think about your Niche
2:03 or think about your audience if you
2:05 don't have a niche and think about what
2:06 you could say to them that you know
2:08 would resonate with them that is either
2:10 interrational or educational maybe it's
2:12 a quote maybe it's a story of a time
2:13 where you overcame something challenging
2:16 maybe you are teaching your audience how
2:18 to achieve their goals just have a
2:19 brainstorm about something valuable that
2:20 you you could say to your audience that
2:22 you could write out over that video that
2:24 we just selected so now that you've got
2:26 those two different elements you've got
2:27 the video and you've got the text you
2:28 want to combine them together in
2:30 whichever video editing application that
2:32 you use and you want to make sure that
2:33 the video is between five to seven
2:36 seconds long okay the final step is to
2:38 add some trending audio over it so I
2:39 don't know what platform you're
2:42 necessarily on but the beauty about this
2:44 tactic is that you can add different
2:45 songs depending on the platform that
2:47 you're on so let's say you created this
2:49 video using a third-party app like cap
2:52 car or maybe you use one called in short
2:53 there's a few different ones you can use
2:54 but let's say you created that video and
2:56 you haven't quite added the music yet
2:58 you can upload that video to tick tock
3:00 to YouTube shorts to Instagram as a real
3:02 and you can add whatever song is
3:04 trending on that platform over that
3:06 video it really doesn't matter too much
3:07 if you can try and match the vibe then
3:09 go ahead and do so but other than that
3:11 the main thing to be aware of is that
3:12 you want the music to be trending okay
3:14 so you want it to be popular on that
3:15 platform the end result will look
3:17 something like this and let me break
3:19 down to you why this video is going to
3:21 work there's a few different reasons the
3:23 first reason is that you've overlaid
3:24 some valuable text which means your
3:26 audience are likely to want to read it
3:27 right it's going to capture their
3:28 attention they're going to want to read
3:30 it there's a big chance that they might
3:31 want to read it a couple of times to let
3:33 the message truly sink in and so that
3:35 they can absorb it so the fact that this
3:37 video is only five to seven seconds long
3:38 means that they're gonna have to
3:40 re-watch the video a couple of times for
3:42 them to truly soak up all the amazing
3:44 value that you just shared in addition
3:46 to this you've included a video that has
3:47 your face in it which means people who
3:49 are familiar with you will stop
3:50 scrolling because they've seen your face
3:52 but also people who aren't familiar with
3:54 you are more likely to stop scrolling
3:55 because there's a face on the screen
3:57 people are more likely to stop scrolling
3:59 when they see a human and a face than
4:00 they are to stop scrolling if they see
4:02 like a view of something right if they
4:04 actually see a face they're more likely
4:05 to stop scrolling so we've got them to
4:07 stop scrolling we've got them to
4:08 re-watch the video a couple of times to
4:10 read and soak up all your value and
4:12 we've got some trending audio over it
4:13 which basically means that the social
4:15 platform you're on is more likely to
4:17 push it out to more people so because
4:18 you've done all those things the social
4:20 media platform you're on regardless of
4:22 the one that you're on is going to
4:23 reward you for it because now you've
4:25 created a short form piece of content
4:26 that people are repeatedly watching
4:28 therefore that social platform is going
4:30 to push it out to more people you're
4:31 going to reach more people and that is
4:33 what's going to help you grow sorry I
4:34 know that tactic is not for the faint
4:35 hide but I wanted to start off strong
4:38 okay so the next tactic I am calling top
4:41 five creators what I want you to do for
4:43 this tactic is to find five content
4:45 creators who you really like you want
4:47 these content creators to have an
4:48 audience who are similar to yours so for
4:50 me to do this tactic I would look for
4:53 other creators who maybe are coaches or
4:55 maybe they run social media agencies
4:57 that kind of thing because I know that
4:58 Their audience are likely to be
5:00 interested in social media and the
5:01 different things that I talk about on my
5:03 channel so you want to try and find some
5:05 creators who are similar to you in some
5:06 way ideally you want to do this on
5:08 Instagram this is the platform where it
5:09 works best on right what you then want
5:11 to do is head over to your stories and
5:13 actually talk about the creators who you
5:15 love ideally you only want like one
5:18 story per Creator So Stories are up to
5:20 60 seconds long at the moment so you
5:21 don't really want to be talking for more
5:23 than 60 seconds about one Creator
5:24 ideally you want to aim for like the 30
5:26 second mark because otherwise people
5:28 switch off so you want to create one 30
5:30 seconds ish story where you are talking
5:32 about this creator that you follow who
5:34 you absolutely love and you want to tag
5:36 them in it right you want this to be a
5:37 video where you're speaking to the
5:39 camera this is important so you want to
5:40 do that for all five creators and you
5:42 want to tag them in each of the stories
5:44 the reason why I want you to do this is
5:46 because there is a decent chance that
5:48 one of those creators or more of those
5:50 creators will see the lovely Dedication
5:52 that you've just shared of them and they
5:54 will repost it onto their stories now
5:56 because you filmed yourself talking when
5:57 you've been recommending this Creator
6:00 when they repost that story to theirs
6:02 they're essentially showing you in your
6:05 face and how you communicate to their
6:07 entire audience so now Their audience
6:10 gets a chance to see who you are gets to
6:11 know you a bit and they're significantly
6:13 more likely to go and follow you as a
6:15 result that is why it's important to
6:16 actually show your face and like have a
6:18 video of you talking because if you just
6:21 take like a random static photo and then
6:22 recommend a Creator that's great and
6:24 they might still repost it but the
6:25 effects won't be as great because their
6:27 audience didn't get to see your face or
6:29 didn't get to see you talk okay so quick
6:31 question how many of you guys are signed

6:34 answer because this is a camera so I
6:36 have no idea if you're nodding a lot if
6:37 you've not signed up to my newsletter
6:38 yet I really recommend that you go ahead
6:40 and do so there is a link in the
6:41 description the reason why is because
6:43 I'm rebranding it I'm giving it a
6:45 refresh and it is getting a major major
6:47 upgrade it's going to include things
6:50 like Creator q and A's opportunities for
6:52 Content creators whether that's jobs or
6:54 brand Partnerships opportunities and of
6:55 course all of the recent news and
6:57 updates that you need to know about the
6:59 Creator economy so as I mentioned
7:00 obviously it's free to join and the link
7:03 to join is in my description alright my
7:05 next tactic is called the return Factor
7:07 if you followed my first two tactics
7:09 you're likely to have a lot of new
7:11 eyeballs on your social channels which
7:13 is great the issue is though not
7:15 everyone is able to convert those new
7:17 people into actual followers you might
7:18 start reaching loads of people with your
7:20 short form content Maybe a few creators
7:22 have reposted your stories so now loads
7:24 people are aware of you amazing but how
7:25 do we get them to actually stick around
7:27 and follow or subscribe to you how you
7:29 do that is by giving them a reason to
7:30 stick around now there's a few different
7:32 ways that you can do this tactic the
7:34 first way is by drafting a value
7:35 statement so this is essentially a
7:37 phrase or a sentence where you are
7:38 clearly stating why someone should
7:40 follow you it's like a clear statement
7:42 of the value that you offer people this
7:43 doesn't have to be long or complicated
7:45 for example my Instagram buyer at the
7:47 moment says turn your influence to
7:49 income so I'm communicating to people
7:51 that if they want to learn how to turn
7:52 their influence to income they probably
7:53 want to follow my Instagram channel
7:55 right I'm giving them a reason to follow
7:58 so think about what your value statement
8:00 is include that in your YouTube Banner
8:02 your bio whatever platform you're on so
8:03 that people are given a reason to stick
8:05 around the other thing that you can do
8:08 is offer something exclusive for example
8:11 going live if you go live on a regular
8:13 basis or if you're considering going
8:14 live on a regular basis you need to make
8:16 sure that you're telling new visitors
8:18 this these are the people who need to
8:19 know more than anyone else because
8:20 because if someone already follows you
8:22 they're probably going to see your story
8:23 content they're probably going to see
8:25 you go live anyway so when you follow
8:27 someone on Instagram for example you get
8:28 a notification saying they're going live
8:30 anyway right so what we want to focus on
8:32 is how do we make sure new visitors or
8:34 new people know that we go live
8:35 regularly and the reason why this is
8:37 important is because if someone is just
8:39 browsing your page and they see that you
8:41 go live every week guess what they're
8:42 going to want to subscribe to you or
8:43 follow your channel because you're
8:45 giving them a reason to stick around so
8:46 that you can see your lives every week
8:49 so if you do go live on a regular basis
8:51 or if you go live sporadically I want
8:52 you to talk about that in either your
8:53 bio your channel Banner or whatever
8:56 platform you're on think about what it
8:57 is people see when they land on your
8:59 channel and put it somewhere there so
9:01 people can clearly see that you go live
9:03 regularly final tip is one that works
9:04 super well for Instagram but could work
9:06 for other platforms too and that is to
9:08 offer some form of exclusive content on
9:10 your stories now I say this could work
9:11 for other platforms because some
9:12 platforms do have stories like YouTube
9:14 has stories Tick Tock has stories but
9:16 they're not widely used yet so this does
9:18 work best on a platform like Instagram
9:19 but have you ever gone on someone's
9:21 Instagram channel before and in their
9:22 bio it says something like real life in
9:25 my stories right now whether or not they
9:27 know how tactical that is like some
9:29 people might just be genuinely like I do
9:30 just share my real life in my stories
9:32 other people might be being really
9:34 tactical regardless of why they're
9:36 putting that in their bio it's very
9:38 clever because now you're saying to
9:39 someone if you want to see my real life
9:41 you need to look at my stories if
9:42 someone wants to watch your stories
9:43 they're going to follow you because
9:44 that's going to make it a lot easier for
9:46 them to regularly watch your stories so
9:48 all three tactics kind of work in
9:50 similar ways you're giving people a
9:53 reason to stick around okay so my next
9:55 tip is going I don't know if it's gonna
9:56 ruffle some feathers but I feel like
9:57 there'll be people watching this who
9:59 feel slightly attacked so if that's you
10:02 I apologize the next tactic is to repel
10:04 people from your content so you actually
10:07 want to repel them and not necessarily
10:10 attract them let me explain a lot of
10:11 people watching this video right now
10:13 talking to you you might be trying so
10:15 hard to attract people to your social
10:17 media channels that you're actually
10:20 trying to appeal to everyone and as a
10:22 result you're diluting your content let
10:24 me paint a picture for you let's say
10:26 you're a high fashion content creator
10:28 right you love high-end Brands you love
10:31 to dress really edgy right that's the
10:34 natural style and type of clothing that
10:35 you love however over time you've
10:37 realized that actually you want to reach
10:38 as many people as possible and you
10:39 really want to grow and give yourself
10:41 the best opportunity to grow your
10:43 audience so in order for you to do that
10:45 you think okay I need to appeal to more
10:47 people not everyone loves High fashion
10:49 not everyone can afford High fashion not
10:51 everyone finds High fashion aspirational
10:54 so instead you dilute your content and
10:56 you become very generic and vague so
10:58 there you are with your vague generic
11:00 content let's say someone is browsing
11:01 Instagram they come across your channel
11:04 and this person is super into high
11:06 fashion they are like oh love it all
11:08 about the designer Brands and they just
11:10 love High fashion content creators
11:11 they're going to see your content and
11:13 they're going to be like it's not for me
11:15 because you've diluted it so much that
11:17 it's for everyone which basically means
11:19 it's for no one right and the same same
11:21 thing goes for someone else who isn't
11:23 into high fashion so you diluted your
11:25 brand because you thought let me appeal
11:26 to everyone so let's say we've got
11:27 someone else who's really into fast
11:29 fashion who comes along and is browsing
11:31 your channel guess what they also don't
11:33 want to follow you now because your
11:35 content isn't really for them either
11:37 it's still for everyone so they're gonna
11:38 look and think oh okay well they're not
11:39 really into what I'm into so I'm going
11:41 to keep it moving this is what happens
11:43 every single day every single day this
11:45 happens because we are not being
11:47 specific enough with the audience we're
11:49 trying to attract if we are super
11:50 specific with who we're trying to
11:53 attract we will end up repelling people
11:55 and that is a good thing if we use that
11:57 same example what we want to happen is
11:59 that the high fashion Creator is
12:01 producing High fashion content which
12:03 means the high fashion viewer sees it
12:05 and is like love it gonna follow or
12:06 subscribe and it also means that the
12:08 fast fashion viewer sees it and thinks
12:11 not for me right so they've repelled the
12:12 fast fashion person but they've
12:14 attracted the high fashion person that
12:16 is so much better than just not
12:18 resonating with either of them okay so
12:20 sometimes repel telling people and
12:21 creating content that you know some
12:22 people are going to be like oh this is
12:24 annoying or this isn't for me sometimes
12:26 doing that is the right thing to do
12:28 please note I hate that I have to caveat
12:29 these things because I know you guys
12:30 don't need these caveats but I still
12:32 have to say it obviously I am not
12:33 talking about repelling people by being
12:36 offensive in some way or spreading
12:37 absolute nonsense on mine I do not
12:39 condone that that is not what this
12:40 strategy is about I know you guys know
12:42 that anyway but I just feel like I gotta
12:44 cover my back last but certainly not
12:46 least this is an old school tactic and
12:49 by old school I mean like you know two
12:50 years old because that's old in the
12:52 world of social media but it still works
12:54 and this tactic is to partner up so what
12:56 I'm referring to here is when you
12:57 partner up with another Creator or with
13:00 a brand and you create content which is
13:01 viewed by both of your audiences by
13:04 doing this you are able to get exposure
13:06 to your partner's audience and your
13:08 partner is able to get exposure to your
13:10 audience now when you partner up with
13:11 people who have similar audiences to you
13:14 this could unlock some serious growth so
13:15 let's talk about a few different ways
13:17 that you can do this first way and most
13:18 common and also easiest way is to go
13:21 live go live with someone else or
13:22 multiple people or you can go live with
13:24 up to three other people go live with
13:25 other people because when you do that
13:27 their audiences will join the live and
13:28 it will give you an opportunity to speak
13:30 to that audience but it also gives that
13:31 audience an opportunity to fall in love
13:32 with you which I'm sure they will
13:35 another option is to co-create content a
13:37 lot harder to do from like uh
13:39 operational perspective because maybe
13:40 you don't live near them maybe you've
13:42 got to do it virtually still possible
13:44 though and when you co-create content
13:45 especially on a platform like Instagram
13:48 you can actually upload the post onto
13:50 both channels simultaneously which is
13:52 amazing when it comes to the exposure
13:54 that both channels will get as a result
13:56 you can also do interviews or you can
13:58 agree to promote each other's content
13:59 like if you know someone within your
14:01 industry and you are friends or you have
14:03 a relationship you could just say hey on
14:05 our next YouTube video should we both
14:06 just do a shout out to each other and
14:08 just say hey guys if you love my content
14:09 you would also love so-and-so's content
14:11 right beautiful way to collaborate with
14:13 someone else another way is to get brand
14:15 exposure so please exercise caution when
14:16 it comes to this tip but essentially
14:18 what you could do especially if you're
14:20 in the fashion Niche you could create
14:21 some content where it features a brand
14:24 send it to that brand and ask them to
14:25 repost it a lot of brands have a big
14:26 following so this could get you a lot of
14:28 reach and it can massively help you grow
14:30 when I say exercise caution we don't
14:31 really want to get in the habit of just
14:33 providing content for free for Brands
14:33 that's not something that I want
14:35 everyone to start doing but every now
14:37 and again that tactic does work I've
14:39 actually had that work on an old account
14:41 for me on several occasions last thing
14:43 that you can consider doing is a good
14:45 old theme page who remembers theme Pages
14:47 anyone theme pages are essentially Pages
14:49 which focus on curating other people's
14:51 content so the creator doesn't create
14:53 their own content they curate content
14:55 they get content from other people and
14:56 they share it and it's normally under
14:59 one central theme for example puppies so
15:01 if there's a puppy theme page their job
15:03 is to get the best puppy videos or
15:05 content and share it to their audience
15:07 who love puppies if you get featured on
15:08 one of these theme Pages you can unlock
15:10 a lot of growth and the reason why is
15:12 because some of these theme Pages have a
15:13 huge audience a lot of the time they're
15:15 pretty engaged because they're all
15:17 interested in the same thing and if what
15:19 they're interested in aligns with you as
15:21 a greater there's a big chance they'll
15:22 follow you as a result another example
15:24 my old page I used to have had a lot of
15:26 travel content in it we would get
15:27 featured on travel pages and that would
15:30 massively help us grow okay guys those
15:31 all my hacks and my strategies my
15:33 tactics I'm really proud of them so I
