A man was sleeping deeply in the dense forest of Kashmir.
Suleiman Shah,
known to the world as Hafiz Musa. And then the
sound of a gunshot is heard and Hafiz Musa falls down
there. The person who fired this bullet was
not an ordinary man. This was
Major Vikram Singh, the powerful commando of the Para SF of the Indian Army.
But the story does not end here.
Because Hafiz Musa was no ordinary man.
He was
a highly trained officer of the Elite SSG Group of the Pakistan Army.
Now the question is what was a Pakistani SSG
officer doing in the dense forest of Kashmir
and why did Indian para commandos shoot at him
? [Music]
Operation Mahadev unveils this secret. If you want to
know the truth then definitely watch the full video and
date was 22 April 2025.
Tourists were roaming in Vaishnav Valley of Kashmir. The
newly married couple was celebrating their honeymoon when
three terrorists emerged from the forest. They had
deadly rifles like AK-47 and M4 carbine in their hands.
These terrorists were the dreaded wolves of Lashkar Taba and The
Resistance Front. Who had
come across the border from Pakistan with only one purpose. Spreading terror and
shedding the blood of innocents. There was a witchcraft in his eyes and a
hint of death in his gait. As soon as he arrived, he took everyone
hostage. After that, that
disgusting game started which shook everyone's heart.
They asked everyone about their religion one by one
and those who were found to be Hindus were shot.
Some people tried to lie to save themselves
but those cruel people
asked them to recite Kalma. He shot after seeing the
wrists tied on people's hands and the tilak on their foreheads.
Some people were even made to
remove their pants and were searched and those who were found to be Hindus were
shot. After completing their objective, the terrorists
terrorists
returned to the forest through the same route. When the security
forces reached there, the scene was heart-
wrenching. There was blood scattered everywhere. People
's belongings were lying here and there and there was a
heavy silence in the air which comes after the screams. The
Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police
immediately cordoned off the entire area. A
cordon and search operation was launched
but the terrorists managed to escape by taking advantage of the dense forest and difficult paths. The
commotion intensified in Delhi also. A
series of high-level meetings began in South Block. The
Prime Minister and the Home Minister had made it clear
that this time there would not be mere condemnation
but action, and that too such action that the
enemy's generations would remember [music].
Intelligence agencies were put to work.
RAW and IB officers started working 24 hours
to find out
who was behind this attack and where those rats were
hiding. It became clear in the initial investigation itself
that the mastermind of this attack was none other
than Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Suleman
Shah alias Hashim Musa. Hashim Musa was
no ordinary terrorist.
According to intelligence reports, he was a former commando of the Pakistan Army's
Elite SSG i.e. Special Service Group.
He had
received special training in jungle warfare. He knew
how to hide in the woods. How to
close the holes and how to deceive the army.
But he had forgotten one thing. He forgot
that he was facing the Indian Army,
in whose dictionary there is no word like impossible.
7 May 2025 [Music] Exactly 15 days
after the attack, India launched its first response. The
name of this mission was Operation Sindoor. It was an air raid.
Indian Air Force fighter jets
crossed the LoC and targeted
terrorist launch pads in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
This air strike was very precise.
In this, many camps of Lashkar and Jaish were destroyed.
According to reports,
more than 100 terrorists were killed. Operation Sindoor had
broken the back of the enemy. But the Indian
Army knew that this was still not the end.
Operation Sindoor was a huge success. But the
real culprits of the Besaran attack, who
fired the bullets with their own hands, were still
alive. Suleman Shah and his two companions
Abu Hamza and Yasir were still present on the soil of Kashmir. The
Intelligence Bureau and
RAW were continuously engaged in their efforts.
He had activated his Human Intelligence
Network. A
network of informers was spread in every village and hamlet of Kashmir.
But Suleiman Shah
was so clever that he did not trust any local Kashmiri.
He was afraid that
someone would inform the truth. Therefore, he had
completely distanced himself from populated areas. The
month of July had begun.
Monsoon had arrived in Kashmir. It was raining in the mountains
and the cold had increased.
In such weather it is very difficult to stay under the open sky in the forest.
Perhaps this
compulsion forced him to make a mistake. The
Indian Army's Chinar Corps, which is
responsible for operations in Kashmir,
changed its strategy. He started putting
more emphasis on human intelligence along with technology. The
army knew that
any movement in the forest could
not be hidden from the Khana Doshas, i.e., the Gujjar goat herders, who lived there.
These shepherds go
to high altitude areas in summer to graze their sheep
and are familiar with every inch of the forest. The
army contacted these goatherds
and took them into confidence.
They were told that these terrorists are not only
enemies of the country but also enemies of the Kashmiri people.
In the second week of July,
intelligence received a very faint but important
clue. A satellite phone signal was
intercepted. This signal was on for just a few
seconds and then turned off.
But these few seconds were enough for the Signal Corps of the Indian Army. They
They
triangulated the location of that signal. The
location was in the
dense forests of Lidwas above Harwan and Dara areas near Srinagar.
This was the same area which the army was already suspicious of.
Lidwas is
a high altitude area inside Dachigam National Park,
situated at an altitude of about 3000 metres. It is
not easy to reach here. No road goes here. There are
only footpaths which become
even more dangerous during rains. As soon as this
location was traced, there was a lot of activity in the army headquarters.
[Music] The Commander of the Northern Command
and the GOC of Chinarkore immediately
prepared an operational plan. This time there was
no room for error. If the terrorists were there,
they should not have found any way to get out of there alive. The
best soldiers were selected for this mission. This
task was carried out by the 4 Para SF of the Para Special Forces,
known for their indomitable courage.
He was given the command of this operation. Along
with them, the
Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police and the
Valley, QAT (Quick
Action Team) of CRPF were also included. It was a joint
operation [music] in which each force had its
own role. The plan was to
surround the terrorists from all sides. But it was
not that easy. The forest was so dense that
even a person standing two steps away was not visible. On
top of that, bad weather and rain
further increased the challenge. But the
courage of our soldiers was higher than the Himalayas. They
knew who they were going after.
Behind that devil who shot at children and women.
Every soldier had only one thing in his mind. If
not today then never. The operation was
named Operation Mahadev. This name was after
Lord Shiva who is considered the god of destruction.
And also in the
name of Mahadev Peak near which this operation was to take place. The
name itself was enough to tell
what the fate of the enemies was going to be. The
time was fixed between 16th July to 31st July. The
army slowly and silently
began sending its troops towards the forest.
It was a search and destroy mission. The
soldiers had clear instructions. The
element of surprise should not be lost. The enemy should
not even have an inkling that death is coming to knock
at their door. The month of July was
in its last phase. But
Operation Mahadev had now reached its most exciting stage. There was
silence in the forests of Danchi village. But this silence was a
sign of a storm coming. Four Para SF
and SOG teams were moving towards Lidwas through different routes of the forest.
They had state-of-the-art equipment. Night vision
goggles, thermal imaging and drones. But
due to dense trees, the use of drones
was very limited. His biggest weapon was his own
eyes and ears. The intelligence
was solid. A local Bakarwal had told the police
that he had seen three unknown persons in the upper part of the forest.
Who were
not in uniform like soldiers. But they had big
weapons and they did not look Kashmiri.
This information matched that satellite phone intercept.
Now the pieces of the puzzle were starting to come together.
Bakarwal said that they are living in
tents near a natural cave
which is on the bank of a drain. This place was
very important from a tactical point of view.
Being at a height, any path coming down from there
could be monitored.
Suleiman Shah had chosen his hiding place
very carefully. From there he
could easily see if any army units were
coming up. This was the reason why the army
decided to take advantage of the darkness of night and bad weather instead of attacking directly in daylight. On the night of July 27, there were
thick clouds in the sky and it was raining lightly. The
moonlight was also hidden behind the clouds. There was
dense darkness in the forest. This was the
moment our soldiers were waiting for.
Major Vikram was leading his team.
He gestured to his team to move forward.
They were
using GPS so as not to lose their way. The
climb was very steep. At many places he had to
take the help of ropes. Every step was
slippery. One small mistake and they could
fall hundreds of feet into the abyss. But his
training was such that he could
move with the agility of a cheetah even on the mountains. Major Vikram
knew that they were getting close to the kill zone.
He divided his team into two parts.
A team called Alpha was going
straight ahead. Whereas the other team
Bravo was climbing up from the back route i.e.
from the other side of the mountain. The aim was
that if the terrorists tried to escape, they would get
trapped in the trap of Bravo Team. It
was a classic hammer and annable tactic.
Hit one side with a hammer and crush the other side on an anvil. It was
around 3:00 in the night.
The cold was bone-chilling.
But adrenaline was coursing through the soldiers' bodies.
Due to which he was not feeling cold.
Then the lead scout of Alpha Team
raised his hand and signaled to stop. He had
seen something in his thermal image. About
200 meters away,
he spotted three heat signatures among a clump of trees. That
means three living beings. Were they animals
or were they what they were looking for? The Major
looked at the screen carefully. Two figures were lying down. She was
probably sleeping and a figure was sitting there holding
something long in his hand. A
rifle it was sentry. The guard was no longer suspicious.
These were the same terrorists. Suleiman Shah had
posted guards for his safety.
Major Vikram immediately
sent a message to the headquarters on radio. Contact
established target [music]
Order received from Insight Headquarters Proceed with caution Take them
out Now the question was how to attack
? If they had fired the shot, the
other two would have woken up due to the sound and started retaliatory action.
Firing in the dark could have been very dangerous. The Major
Major
signaled the sniper to take position. The sniper
set up his long range rifle and
checked the silencer. His target was the sitting
guard. He had to be killed in one shot
so that he wouldn't make any noise. Meanwhile, the
Bravo team had also reached its position.
They had blocked all the back roads.
Now these terrorists were in a cage
whose key was with the Indian Army. The
silence in the forest was so deep that
even the sound of raindrops could be clearly heard.
Every soldier's finger was on the trigger. Breathing had
stopped. The moment had come when months of
hard work, intelligence gathering and patience were about to bear fruit.
Suleman Shah who
considered himself the best commando of Pakistan.
Today I made the biggest mistake of my life.
He had mistaken the patience of the Indian Army for
its weakness. He did not know
that when the Indian Army comes, it
comes like a storm. Suddenly there was a sound of a dry branch breaking in the forest.
Perhaps the
guard became alert due to the wind or the movement of some animal.
He picked up his rifle and looked around in the darkness. Had
he sensed it
? Was the operation in jeopardy?
Major Vikram's heart started beating faster.
If he fired the shot, the surprise would be over. The
sniper held his breath. The
crosshair was directly on that guard's head. the Major
whispered softly. Hold fire
hold. They wanted the terrorist to relax a little more. The
guard looked around for a while.
Then perhaps he thought it might be some
animal. He sat back. He
placed his rifle on his knees and started taking something out of his pocket.
Maybe a beedi or a cigarette. This was the
opportunity. As the light of the lighter
sparked, his location became even more certain. It would have been
foolish to wait any longer. There were only a
few hours left before morning. As soon as the
first rays of the sun appeared, the terrorists could have got a
chance to escape because they
knew the area better than the army. That's why it was
necessary to finish the game in the dark.
Major Vikram looked at his watch, 3:45,
he gave the go quote. Everywhere Shiva. This was
not just a slogan. This
was the name of that operation and also the proclamation of victory. On hearing this code,
every soldier came into action. The
sniper's finger tightened on the trigger and the
aim was adjusted once more.
Wind speed and distance were calculated.
Missing this shot would have meant [MUSIC] a long
and bloody encounter that could have cost the soldiers their lives.
Therefore there was no scope for error.
In the silence of the forest, death was
ready to make its move. And that guard had
no idea that he had
only a few seconds left in his life. The
silence of the forest was broken as soon as the signal of Har Har Mahadev was received.
But not with the sound of gunfire, but with
a precise and silent action,
a muffled sound came from the sniper's rifle. Puff and at
that very moment the sitting guard who was Yasir
alias Hamza Afghani. Rolled back without making any sound. The
bullet hit him directly in the brain.
He did
n't get a second to recover, scream, or pick up his rifle. His
lighter fell from his hand and went out.
But the sound of that fall
woke up the other two terrorists sleeping inside the tent.
Both Suleman Shah and Abu Hamza were
not raw players.
He woke up at the slightest sound. He immediately realized
something was wrong. Attack Attack. Suleiman
shouted and raised his M4 carbine.
They both rolled out of the tent
and hid behind rocks for cover.
Now the surprise was over.
Now it was a straight fight. The firefight had
begun. Alpha Team
showered them with bullets. The bullets were coming out
tearing the trunks of the trees.
In the darkness, only the flames coming out of the barrels of the guns,
i.e. muzzle flashes, were visible.
Suleman Shah was firing intermittently from behind the rock.
He was a seasoned player.
He was not firing bullets indiscriminately
but was firing with aim. His
bullets passed very close to Major Vikram. Take
cover, take cover. the Major shouted. The soldiers were
retaliating by taking cover behind trees and stones.
Suleiman was shouting. He was
giving instructions to his partner. He
was abusing in a mixed language of Pashto and Urdu and saying that he would not be caught alive.
He was trying to throw a grenade.
He pulled out the pin of a grenade and
threw it. Bomb, a young man shouted. There was a
loud sound as the grenade exploded and mud and stones
flew into the air. Fortunately, no soldier was
hit by it. The competition was becoming fierce. The
terrorists were at a higher altitude and had
good cover, which was giving them an advantage.
They were firing from top to bottom
which is tactically advantageous. But the
Indian Army's Bravo team, which had climbed up from behind,
now came into action. The
terrorists' attention was on the Alpha team in front.
He had no idea that his death was
standing behind him. Bravo Team
opened fire from high altitude downwards. Now the terrorists were
surrounded from two sides. This is called crossfire in military language. Solomon
Solomon
realized that he was trapped. Shouting "Allahu Akbar,"
Abu Hamza came out of his position
and started firing indiscriminately,
trying to escape. This was a suicidal
step. As he came out of cover, he was hit by
bullets from three sides. [Music] A
bullet hit an SOG soldier in the chest and he fell down on the spot.
Now only one
mastermind Suleman Shah was left. He was alone,
surrounded, but he did not give up.
He knew that if he was caught, he would have to
reveal many secrets and then he would be hanged. It was
better for him to die fighting.
He changed his position and hid behind a big rock.
From there he
continued to fire intermittently. He wanted to keep the army engaged
so that he might get a chance.
But the 4 Para commandos
[MUSIC] did not give him any chance. He
decided to use a grenade launcher. The
Major ordered UBGL fire
i.e. under barrel grenade launcher. A soldier
fired a grenade from a launcher fitted under his rifle. The grenade fell directly near the rock
where Suleiman was hiding. There was a
loud explosion. A cloud of smoke and dust
rose. The firing stopped for a few moments. Was
he killed or was it a trick? The soldiers remained
firm at their positions. There was no movement for some time. Then, through the smoke,
smoke,
came the sound of gunfire again. He was still
alive. Although he was injured, his
passion was not over yet. He was continuously
firing and challenging the army.
Come and catch me and show me. he was crying.
This was his frustration. He knew his
end was near. Major Vikram understood that
now it was impossible to capture him alive and it
also involved risking the lives of his soldiers. The
first rays of the sun started appearing in the sky. The
fog was clearing. Now the visibility was getting
better. The Major prepared his team
for the final assault.
They distracted Suleiman by carrying out heavy firing from one side.
Which is called suppressing fire. [Music] And
from the other side, two commandos were
sent crawling closer to him.
This was a very risky move. If Solomon had
seen them, he could have easily
killed them. But due to the suppressing fire
he was not able to raise his head. The
commandos were now just 10 meters away from Suleiman.
They took out hand grenades.
Removed the pin and held it in the hand for a few seconds.
Which is called cooking off so that
he does not get a chance to throw it back and then
threw it on Suleiman's position. Two explosions
occurred simultaneously. Boom Boom This time there was no firing after the blasts.
Only the sound of getting it done
came. Waited for the dust storm to subside.
Major Vikram
said on the radio, cease fire check target i.e.
stop firing. Check the target. Two soldiers, their
guns drawn, slowly
moved towards the cliff. The scene there was horrific. Suleman
Shah who was called the butcher of Pahalgam. Now he was lying covered
in mud and blood. His
AM 4 carbine was lying near him. But
now the hand that was lifting him had become lifeless.
A soldier went to him and checked his pulse.
No movement. His eyes were open and
now filled with fear. The young man gave a thumbs
up. Target down. Upon hearing these words, the
entire unit breathed a sigh of relief. But the
vigilance was still not lowered. Because
forests often have booby traps. The
soldiers immediately searched Suleman's body. Was
he wearing a suicide vest?
Fortunately, there was nothing like that.
This was a clean operation in which the enemy did
not even get time to think. Target
down. These two words echoed on the radio set and
a satisfied smile appeared on the faces of every soldier present in the forest.
But the work was
not yet complete. It was
most important to confirm the identity. [Music] Was it really
Suleiman Shah? The soldiers cleaned his face and
and
compared it with the photo in the dossier they had. The same beard, the same eyes and
that mark on the forehead, it was there. Suleman Shah
alias Hashim Musa, a former Pakistani
commando and top commander of Lashkar. The
weapons found with him also
testified that he was no ordinary terrorist.
He had an American-made M4 carbine
fitted with a night vision scope. This
weapon is often used by the special forces of the Pakistani Army.
Apart from this,
a satellite phone, some
documents and maps were also found from him on which Indian
Army bases were marked. Major
Vikram immediately confirmed the base.
Operation Mahadev successful. All three targets
neutralized. Suleman Shah is history,
meaning the operation is successful. All three stacks. Suleiman Shah has
now become history. As soon as this news
reached Srinagar Headquarters, a
wave of happiness spread there. The GOC immediately
informed the Army Chief and the Defence Minister in Delhi.
This was a huge success.
Revenge for the Pahalgam attack had been taken. The
souls of those 26 innocent people must have found peace now.
But the danger in the forest was still not over. It was
possible that some other
terrorist was hiding nearby or they had planted an IED.
Therefore, the soldiers
carried out the search operation i.e. sanitization with utmost caution.
Inside the tent they found a large quantity of
ammunition, dry rations and medicines.
This showed that they had come here prepared for a long battle. The most
most
shocking thing was that some
[music] injections were also found with them which are often
used to reduce pain and stay awake after injuries [music].
All this was proof of Pakistan's state sponsorship.
Recovering the bodies was also a challenge.
It was a difficult task to bring it down from a height and that too through slippery roads. But the
Indian Army also respects the bodies of its enemies.
As per protocol, the
police took the bodies into their custody. A
Panchnama was filled and he was sent to Srinagar for post-mortem. There,
There,
their identity also had to be confirmed through DNA test
so that Pakistan could not lie that
they were not their citizens. Although
Pakistan was going to deny it as usual, the
evidence was now going to be revealed to the world.
So friends, this was the
inside story of Operation Mahadev. An operation
which proved that the new India
kills both by entering the house and by searching for it in the jungle. I
