0:10 Hello and welcome to this video. Today I
0:13 am putting more AliExpress parts on my
0:16 motorcycle. If you think I'm a bad NC
0:19 owner, then please feel free to close
0:21 this video. You don't know what you're
0:24 talking about. I'm only joking. Right,
0:27 this time I've gone for full tat. Please
0:29 stay tuned as I'll be showing you what I
0:32 have purchased to transform my
0:36 motorcycle only using AliExpress parts.
0:39 This is part two of a series I filmed
0:40 fitting AliExpress parts to my
0:43 motorcycle. If you want to watch episode
0:45 one, please look in the description
0:48 below or check my other videos out. You
0:49 might be disappointed because not
0:51 everyone agrees with AliExpress parts,
0:54 but I am only using cosmetic parts and
0:57 parts that I know are proven and built
0:59 with quality in mind. Right enough,
1:01 waffle. Let's go on with the video and
1:03 show you what I've purchased from AliExpress.
1:05 AliExpress.
1:06 Right, so the first thing I'm going to
1:10 be fitting on my NC are these bar
1:15 risers. These were £1350.
1:17 As you can see, they do look pretty
1:19 sturdy. They are one solid lump of
1:21 aluminium. You can't really go too wrong
1:24 with this. I've purchased these because
1:26 I get a bit of pins and needles in my
1:27 hands and I'm hoping this will help
1:29 that. Right, let's fit these to the
1:33 motorcycle. Right, grab a 12 mm socket
1:36 and loosen the bolts for the handlebars
1:49 There you go. And there's off. And I
1:50 thought I'd mention, look at the poor
1:51 quality of the paintwork here. You can
1:55 see that flaking off with ease. Not very
1:57 good, Honda. And people moan about me
1:58 putting AliExpress parts on this vehicle.
2:00 vehicle.
2:02 Right. Remove the Allen keys that are
2:04 supplied with the spacers. Install them
2:06 there and screw them in gently.
2:09 Fingertight on both sides. screw them
2:12 down. And once they are screwed down,
2:16 tighten these between 20 to 25 Newtonm
2:19 using a torque wrench. If you don't know
2:21 what torque wrench is, please look at my
2:23 other videos. I will explain this on my
2:27 NC tips video. Repeat this on the other side,
2:29 side,
2:33 but don't drop the bolt like I just did.
2:36 I put my dummy back in and carried on
2:39 and tighten these up again between 20
2:42 and 25 Newtonm. Pull the bars forward so
2:45 they slot into the grooves. As you can
2:47 see, there is enough room where the
2:51 brake hose and throttle cable and also
2:53 handbrake cable has enough slack on it.
2:55 So, you will not be stressing any of
2:57 these cables. I'm not sure about a
3:00 clutch cable because mine is a DCT, but
3:03 please check this. Right. So, get all
3:05 the bolts fingertight enough so there's
3:08 not enough movement to for the bars to
3:11 fall naturally, but jump on the bike and
3:14 then get your desired position.
3:17 And then nip them up and tighten these
3:20 to 15 to 20 newm.
3:23 Turn the bars left to right full lock,
3:25 making sure nothing is catching and no
3:29 hoses are being overstretched.
3:31 Now, here you can see that is what they
3:34 look like on the motorcycle. The gap
3:36 don't look too bad. I think it looks
3:38 pretty fine. And if you stay tuned at
3:40 the end, I will do a demo ride and show
3:43 you a side profile of me riding with
3:46 these bars. And I'll also give you an
3:50 analysis review of how I feel these bars
3:52 have changed my riding position and
3:55 experience. So, as we are on the
3:58 handlebars, I will jump to the next
4:01 product, and that is the brake reservoir
4:03 cap that I've purchased. And this cost
4:07 me just $4.99 delivered. Right, let's
4:08 show you how to fit this thing. It's
4:10 very important to use the correct
4:13 screwdriver bit. And this is a Phillips
4:15 number two. Give it a bit of gentle
4:18 persuasion just so that seats correctly
4:19 because these are very easy to round
4:22 off. put downward pressure and turn nice
4:24 and easy. There you go. Unscrew that
4:26 carefully. You can put a rag underneath
4:28 to stop brake fluid from leaking out.
4:30 But to be honest, the inner cap at the
4:32 top will stay behind. So, this should
4:35 not leak any fluid. This does come with
4:37 screws, but they are absolutely pans.
4:39 So, I'm using the original screws that
4:41 come with it. Just be careful not to
4:43 overtighten these like I did on this one.
4:45 one.
4:47 Whoops. Once it's all installed, give it
4:50 a little clean for any residue. And
4:52 there you go. We are all done. And look
4:56 at that difference. Nice and popping in red.
4:57 red.
5:02 So the next item is this indicator
5:04 button. If I can get the camera to
5:06 focus. This is a aluminium block and I
5:08 think it looks pretty cool matching the
5:10 red theme and it's made out of metal
5:13 making it more durable and easier to
5:16 see. This cost just £3.89.
5:18 Right. to remove the original button.
5:21 Grab a right angled pick tool or a small
5:24 screwdriver and push on the tab here as
5:26 shown and then pull the button towards
5:28 you. Don't pull too hard. You don't want
5:30 to break the mechanism. To install the
5:32 new button, just push on and then
5:35 tighten the grub screw as shown. There
5:36 you go. And make sure it operates
5:39 correctly. Look at that. Fantastic. Give
5:42 it one final little nip and Bob's your
5:46 uncle. Right on to the next product.
5:49 This item is a cramp buster costing
5:53 £2.89. I've used these for years and
5:55 they do stop fatigue on the wrist and
5:57 gives you a bit of throttle assist. So,
5:59 it's very easy to install. All you do is
6:01 wrap it around the bar and then you can
6:03 adjust by pulling it the opposite
6:04 direction. So, when you put pressure
6:06 down on the right direction, i.e. open
6:08 the throttle, it will clamp tighter and
6:11 not move. It just supports the palm and
6:13 helps fatigue after long journeys.
6:15 Right. Now, this next item is the oil
6:18 filler cap. It's made from a solid block
6:21 of aluminium and matches the red theme.
6:22 While I'm here, I'm going to also fit
6:24 the valve caps. Also made out of
6:27 anodized red aluminium. Right, this
6:29 one's quite easy to install. Just remove
6:31 the old oil filler cap. And I didn't
6:33 realize that there was an actual dipstip
6:37 in this cap. So, maybe this uh red
6:39 anodized cap is not a good idea after
6:41 all. But for now, I will put it on cuz
6:43 it looks pretty cool. and leave the dip
6:45 tube at home. But this is up to you if
6:47 you like to dip your oil when you are
6:49 out and about. The things I've
6:51 purchased, this is one of the hardest
6:53 ones to install. Are you ready for this?
6:56 All you do is unscrew the old caps and
6:58 screw on the new caps. Here you go.
7:01 Doesn't that look fantastic? And
7:03 obviously we do the same for the front.
7:06 The hardest part is finding out where
7:08 the bloody valve stem is cuz normally on
7:11 the front it's hidden behind the forks
7:13 like this. And here we go. They are both
7:16 on and they look fantastic and match the
7:19 red ongoing theme we have here. Make
7:21 sure you don't do these valve caps too
7:23 tight because they can be a pick to get
7:25 off. So just nip them up a little bit
7:28 with your fingers. And these items
7:31 together come to just under £5.
7:35 Right, the next item on this list is the
7:39 rear chain adjuster thread covers. Now,
7:41 they screw over the end of these exposed
7:43 threads. One, they protect them, and
7:45 two, they make it look a little bit more
7:48 attractive, and it's more red to get my
7:50 heart going. Nip that on there nice and
7:52 tight with your hand. And same for the
7:57 other side. These cost me £781.
7:58 Pretty solid. I must admit, I've never
8:00 seen these before. I find them quite
8:02 unique. Some people probably think they
8:05 look a bit strange, but I like being
8:08 different. The next is this rear brake
8:11 pedal extension. It bolts straight onto
8:13 the original pedal, so no fuffing
8:16 around. It does come with two screws.
8:18 Make sure you use the longer ones.
8:20 There's a groove on the pad and that
8:22 slots in there. And there's a metal
8:24 bracket that you screw to clamp it in.
8:26 That will bend slightly to make it nice
8:29 and tight. So, make sure you don't
8:31 overtighten this because the screws are
8:33 pretty soft. And there you go. Tested
8:36 with my safety gros. I quite like adding
8:38 this platform. I think it increases
8:41 safety. The pedal is nice and easy to
8:43 reach and you can even out the pressure,
8:45 making it feel like a more responsive
8:48 pedal. This was £669. But if you don't
8:50 like the look of the original exhaust,
8:52 you can add a bit of pizzazz with it by
8:54 adding this sticker. It makes a massive
8:57 difference in my opinion and it will
9:00 also protect the aluminum shielding. Use
9:02 a alcohol rubbing cloth or some brake
9:06 cleaner on a rag. quite easy to fit.
9:08 Line it up and then stick it on here as
9:10 shown. Make sure you do this in the warm
9:12 conditions. And there's the final piece.
9:13 Look at it there. Here you go. Look at
9:15 that. What a transformation. It looks
9:17 like an aftermarket exhaust. It looks
9:19 pretty cool, I think. Anyway, this cost
9:23 £820. Right, last but not least are
9:26 these wheel rim stickers. That's a
9:28 bloody mouthful. Right, first thing to
9:30 do is make sure that your wheel rim is
9:33 nice and clean. Use a alcohol wipe or
9:36 some brake cleaner on a rag and get that
9:38 surface nice and clean. I'd advise
9:40 washing your bike before installing
9:42 these. These stickers are very
9:43 forgiving. They're quite soft and
9:45 malleable. So, if you do go wrong, you
9:48 can sort of stretch it around nicely. As
9:49 you can see on this sticker, it's nice
9:52 and straight. I would also advise doing
9:54 this in warm conditions. You go just add
9:57 in a few final stickers there. There is
9:59 enough length there to cover the whole
10:02 rim with a little 1 cm or so gap between
10:04 each sticker. So laying these on are
10:06 quite forgiving rather than laying on a
10:08 whole piece at a time. And there you go.
10:10 That is one side done. I think it turned
10:12 out pretty nice and it looks damn cool
10:15 if I may say so myself. There is enough
10:18 stickers here to do front and rear and
10:21 both sides. So do the same for the front
10:23 and the rear and both the sides. And
10:27 this sticker set only cost me £11.99.
10:29 Well, would you look at that? I'm almost
10:31 professional. There you go. These are
10:35 all my AliExpress items. All these items
10:37 were under £60 posted. What do you
10:38 think? Let me know in the comments
10:40 below. And we've all got different
10:42 tastes and opinions, but I've made this
10:44 bike my own. Let's jump on the road and
10:47 test these bar risers out. I'll catch
10:49 you on the road. Oh, I like that back
10:53 brake. Oh, that's good. Oh, that's good.
10:55 Back brake is good.
10:58 Right, so you join me on the road as I
11:01 test out these Ali Express products. The
11:03 main one I'm interested in is the bar
11:06 risers. Obviously, because I had issues
11:08 with comfort on this motorcycle before,
11:11 and in my previous video, I've also
11:14 installed more leg room on this
11:16 motorcycle with AliExpress adjustable
11:19 pegs. So, I've got more leg room and
11:21 I've brought my bars forward. So, I have
11:25 actually transformed this bike or so.
11:29 I'm hoping I've transformed this bike.
11:31 So far, first impressions is great. I've
11:33 got a nice bend on my elbows. I'm in
11:34 this position like I'm sitting in an
11:37 armchair, which is it's a great position
11:39 to be in. Time will tell, but first
11:42 impressions, it feels more comfortable.
11:44 Everything's at reach. So, I'm going to
11:45 turn the camera off and come back when
11:47 I've ridd this a bit longer. so I can
11:49 give you a better analysis on the riding
11:51 position, give you a better review, and
11:54 I'll also put some footage in of a side
11:57 profile of me riding as I test out my
12:00 new Osmo Action 360 camera. I'll catch
12:02 you then.
12:04 So, you can see the riding position is a
12:06 lot more neutral. I'm sort of sitting
12:09 upright, which is comfortable
12:12 immediately, yes, I do admit, but you
12:13 you are more upright, so you are getting
12:15 a bit more wind on yourself. But I'd say
12:17 that definitely outweighs if I'm going
12:19 to get pins and needles. Nothing worse
12:22 than having a numb hand like which I
12:24 used to get before I installed these bar
12:26 risers. Been on the bike now for a fair
12:29 bit. I'd say a couple of hours in fact.
12:30 I really did want to test these out
12:32 properly uh just to give you a better uh
12:34 review of them really. And I can confirm
12:37 no pins needles. That's not to say I
12:38 won't get it in the future, but these
12:40 risers are more comfortable. You can see
12:42 on the wheels that these stickers are
12:46 making a nice pop appearance as you're
12:48 riding along. They do make the bike
12:51 stand out. And uh this hasn't cost me a
12:53 lot of money and I've kind of
12:55 personalized the bike and made it my own
12:57 because these bikes are so popular, why
12:59 not add a bit of personality to it, eh?
13:01 I'm not saying AliExpress is the best
13:03 place in the world to buy your parts,
13:05 but on this occasion, if you pick
13:09 wisely, you can get some good deals and
13:11 uh some good quality items as well. And
13:13 I've just proven that in this video. Not
13:15 too sure on the oil cap though. I don't
13:18 think I will be using that because there
13:22 is no dipstick involved. So, apart from
13:23 me, of course. So, I won't be able to
13:25 check my oil on the fly. So, the rear
13:28 brake pedal is great. I don't use the
13:30 brake that often, but it actually feels
13:32 like the brake has a more of a positive
13:34 feel to it. It feels like they uh anchor
13:36 up a bit better because you've obviously
13:38 got more surface area to push on. So,
13:41 thank you for watching this video.
13:42 If you like this sort of content, well,
13:44 I give you tips and advice, all
13:48 motorcycle related. I've currently got a
13:50 NC 750X, the new model. So, I'm going to
13:52 cover a lot of videos on this bike. So,
13:55 if that interests you, please consider
13:57 subscribing. Until then, I have been
14:00 Nick and I will catch you on the next
