Hello and welcome to this video. Today I
am putting more AliExpress parts on my
motorcycle. If you think I'm a bad NC
owner, then please feel free to close
this video. You don't know what you're
talking about. I'm only joking. Right,
this time I've gone for full tat. Please
stay tuned as I'll be showing you what I
have purchased to transform my
motorcycle only using AliExpress parts.
This is part two of a series I filmed
fitting AliExpress parts to my
motorcycle. If you want to watch episode
one, please look in the description
below or check my other videos out. You
might be disappointed because not
everyone agrees with AliExpress parts,
but I am only using cosmetic parts and
parts that I know are proven and built
with quality in mind. Right enough,
waffle. Let's go on with the video and
show you what I've purchased from AliExpress.
AliExpress.
Right, so the first thing I'm going to
be fitting on my NC are these bar
risers. These were £1350.
As you can see, they do look pretty
sturdy. They are one solid lump of
aluminium. You can't really go too wrong
with this. I've purchased these because
I get a bit of pins and needles in my
hands and I'm hoping this will help
that. Right, let's fit these to the
motorcycle. Right, grab a 12 mm socket
and loosen the bolts for the handlebars
There you go. And there's off. And I
thought I'd mention, look at the poor
quality of the paintwork here. You can
see that flaking off with ease. Not very
good, Honda. And people moan about me
putting AliExpress parts on this vehicle.
vehicle.
Right. Remove the Allen keys that are
supplied with the spacers. Install them
there and screw them in gently.
Fingertight on both sides. screw them
down. And once they are screwed down,
tighten these between 20 to 25 Newtonm
using a torque wrench. If you don't know
what torque wrench is, please look at my
other videos. I will explain this on my
NC tips video. Repeat this on the other side,
side,
but don't drop the bolt like I just did.
I put my dummy back in and carried on
and tighten these up again between 20
and 25 Newtonm. Pull the bars forward so
they slot into the grooves. As you can
see, there is enough room where the
brake hose and throttle cable and also
handbrake cable has enough slack on it.
So, you will not be stressing any of
these cables. I'm not sure about a
clutch cable because mine is a DCT, but
please check this. Right. So, get all
the bolts fingertight enough so there's
not enough movement to for the bars to
fall naturally, but jump on the bike and
then get your desired position.
And then nip them up and tighten these
to 15 to 20 newm.
Turn the bars left to right full lock,
making sure nothing is catching and no
hoses are being overstretched.
Now, here you can see that is what they
look like on the motorcycle. The gap
don't look too bad. I think it looks
pretty fine. And if you stay tuned at
the end, I will do a demo ride and show
you a side profile of me riding with
these bars. And I'll also give you an
analysis review of how I feel these bars
have changed my riding position and
experience. So, as we are on the
handlebars, I will jump to the next
product, and that is the brake reservoir
cap that I've purchased. And this cost
me just $4.99 delivered. Right, let's
show you how to fit this thing. It's
very important to use the correct
screwdriver bit. And this is a Phillips
number two. Give it a bit of gentle
persuasion just so that seats correctly
because these are very easy to round
off. put downward pressure and turn nice
and easy. There you go. Unscrew that
carefully. You can put a rag underneath
to stop brake fluid from leaking out.
But to be honest, the inner cap at the
top will stay behind. So, this should
not leak any fluid. This does come with
screws, but they are absolutely pans.
So, I'm using the original screws that
come with it. Just be careful not to
overtighten these like I did on this one.
one.
Whoops. Once it's all installed, give it
a little clean for any residue. And
there you go. We are all done. And look
at that difference. Nice and popping in red.
red.
So the next item is this indicator
button. If I can get the camera to
focus. This is a aluminium block and I
think it looks pretty cool matching the
red theme and it's made out of metal
making it more durable and easier to
see. This cost just £3.89.
Right. to remove the original button.
Grab a right angled pick tool or a small
screwdriver and push on the tab here as
shown and then pull the button towards
you. Don't pull too hard. You don't want
to break the mechanism. To install the
new button, just push on and then
tighten the grub screw as shown. There
you go. And make sure it operates
correctly. Look at that. Fantastic. Give
it one final little nip and Bob's your
uncle. Right on to the next product.
This item is a cramp buster costing
£2.89. I've used these for years and
they do stop fatigue on the wrist and
gives you a bit of throttle assist. So,
it's very easy to install. All you do is
wrap it around the bar and then you can
adjust by pulling it the opposite
direction. So, when you put pressure
down on the right direction, i.e. open
the throttle, it will clamp tighter and
not move. It just supports the palm and
helps fatigue after long journeys.
Right. Now, this next item is the oil
filler cap. It's made from a solid block
of aluminium and matches the red theme.
While I'm here, I'm going to also fit
the valve caps. Also made out of
anodized red aluminium. Right, this
one's quite easy to install. Just remove
the old oil filler cap. And I didn't
realize that there was an actual dipstip
in this cap. So, maybe this uh red
anodized cap is not a good idea after
all. But for now, I will put it on cuz
it looks pretty cool. and leave the dip
tube at home. But this is up to you if
you like to dip your oil when you are
out and about. The things I've
purchased, this is one of the hardest
ones to install. Are you ready for this?
All you do is unscrew the old caps and
screw on the new caps. Here you go.
Doesn't that look fantastic? And
obviously we do the same for the front.
The hardest part is finding out where
the bloody valve stem is cuz normally on
the front it's hidden behind the forks
like this. And here we go. They are both
on and they look fantastic and match the
red ongoing theme we have here. Make
sure you don't do these valve caps too
tight because they can be a pick to get
off. So just nip them up a little bit
with your fingers. And these items
together come to just under £5.
Right, the next item on this list is the
rear chain adjuster thread covers. Now,
they screw over the end of these exposed
threads. One, they protect them, and
two, they make it look a little bit more
attractive, and it's more red to get my
heart going. Nip that on there nice and
tight with your hand. And same for the
other side. These cost me £781.
Pretty solid. I must admit, I've never
seen these before. I find them quite
unique. Some people probably think they
look a bit strange, but I like being
different. The next is this rear brake
pedal extension. It bolts straight onto
the original pedal, so no fuffing
around. It does come with two screws.
Make sure you use the longer ones.
There's a groove on the pad and that
slots in there. And there's a metal
bracket that you screw to clamp it in.
That will bend slightly to make it nice
and tight. So, make sure you don't
overtighten this because the screws are
pretty soft. And there you go. Tested
with my safety gros. I quite like adding
this platform. I think it increases
safety. The pedal is nice and easy to
reach and you can even out the pressure,
making it feel like a more responsive
pedal. This was £669. But if you don't
like the look of the original exhaust,
you can add a bit of pizzazz with it by
adding this sticker. It makes a massive
difference in my opinion and it will
also protect the aluminum shielding. Use
a alcohol rubbing cloth or some brake
cleaner on a rag. quite easy to fit.
Line it up and then stick it on here as
shown. Make sure you do this in the warm
conditions. And there's the final piece.
Look at it there. Here you go. Look at
that. What a transformation. It looks
like an aftermarket exhaust. It looks
pretty cool, I think. Anyway, this cost
£820. Right, last but not least are
these wheel rim stickers. That's a
bloody mouthful. Right, first thing to
do is make sure that your wheel rim is
nice and clean. Use a alcohol wipe or
some brake cleaner on a rag and get that
surface nice and clean. I'd advise
washing your bike before installing
these. These stickers are very
forgiving. They're quite soft and
malleable. So, if you do go wrong, you
can sort of stretch it around nicely. As
you can see on this sticker, it's nice
and straight. I would also advise doing
this in warm conditions. You go just add
in a few final stickers there. There is
enough length there to cover the whole
rim with a little 1 cm or so gap between
each sticker. So laying these on are
quite forgiving rather than laying on a
whole piece at a time. And there you go.
That is one side done. I think it turned
out pretty nice and it looks damn cool
if I may say so myself. There is enough
stickers here to do front and rear and
both sides. So do the same for the front
and the rear and both the sides. And
this sticker set only cost me £11.99.
Well, would you look at that? I'm almost
professional. There you go. These are
all my AliExpress items. All these items
were under £60 posted. What do you
think? Let me know in the comments
below. And we've all got different
tastes and opinions, but I've made this
bike my own. Let's jump on the road and
test these bar risers out. I'll catch
you on the road. Oh, I like that back
brake. Oh, that's good. Oh, that's good.
Back brake is good.
Right, so you join me on the road as I
test out these Ali Express products. The
main one I'm interested in is the bar
risers. Obviously, because I had issues
with comfort on this motorcycle before,
and in my previous video, I've also
installed more leg room on this
motorcycle with AliExpress adjustable
pegs. So, I've got more leg room and
I've brought my bars forward. So, I have
actually transformed this bike or so.
I'm hoping I've transformed this bike.
So far, first impressions is great. I've
got a nice bend on my elbows. I'm in
this position like I'm sitting in an
armchair, which is it's a great position
to be in. Time will tell, but first
impressions, it feels more comfortable.
Everything's at reach. So, I'm going to
turn the camera off and come back when
I've ridd this a bit longer. so I can
give you a better analysis on the riding
position, give you a better review, and
I'll also put some footage in of a side
profile of me riding as I test out my
new Osmo Action 360 camera. I'll catch
you then.
So, you can see the riding position is a
lot more neutral. I'm sort of sitting
upright, which is comfortable
immediately, yes, I do admit, but you
you are more upright, so you are getting
a bit more wind on yourself. But I'd say
that definitely outweighs if I'm going
to get pins and needles. Nothing worse
than having a numb hand like which I
used to get before I installed these bar
risers. Been on the bike now for a fair
bit. I'd say a couple of hours in fact.
I really did want to test these out
properly uh just to give you a better uh
review of them really. And I can confirm
no pins needles. That's not to say I
won't get it in the future, but these
risers are more comfortable. You can see
on the wheels that these stickers are
making a nice pop appearance as you're
riding along. They do make the bike
stand out. And uh this hasn't cost me a
lot of money and I've kind of
personalized the bike and made it my own
because these bikes are so popular, why
not add a bit of personality to it, eh?
I'm not saying AliExpress is the best
place in the world to buy your parts,
but on this occasion, if you pick
wisely, you can get some good deals and
uh some good quality items as well. And
I've just proven that in this video. Not
too sure on the oil cap though. I don't
think I will be using that because there
is no dipstick involved. So, apart from
me, of course. So, I won't be able to
check my oil on the fly. So, the rear
brake pedal is great. I don't use the
brake that often, but it actually feels
like the brake has a more of a positive
feel to it. It feels like they uh anchor
up a bit better because you've obviously
got more surface area to push on. So,
thank you for watching this video.
