yeah well
to be honest it's been a bit of a bloody rollercoaster
rollercoaster
with with all the different uh people
involved they'd send me
um you know all this different
information so
yeah it just starts to be a little bit overwhelming
overwhelming
you know they're telling you one thing
and another thing and sometimes there's
uh contradictory information that you
that you're getting
you know with all the other things that
are going on um
you know i've got to try and think about
uh eating right
exercising right it's just all too much
and then
when when you get a new a new person involved
involved
you've then got to tell the the whole
story again starting from the beginning
and going right through and you say the
same thing
over and over and over and it just
it just becomes so well like it's too much
much
actually there was there was one
incidence with the um with the ot
the the social worker had told me
that the ot would come the next day so i
i was waiting
the ot never never showed up so you know
i'd have to chase up
find out what's what's happening so i
rang the ot
the ot said we said that the um
social worker was waiting to to confirm
uh an appointment and and hadn't done yet
yet
so they cancelled the the appointment um
which is just as well i rang up
uh yeah i mean as a you know as i
mentioned before sometimes i'm getting
like total mixed messages on uh
different things you know like um
you know something as simple as you know
frozen meals you're getting
um you know the dietitians saying that
frozen meals are right gp sane frozen
meals aren't okay
and you just you just don't know what
what do i do
like what do i do like do i do i sit
there and take them
and and eat a frozen meal or not and the
um you know even the the pharmacist with the
the
the painkillers you know the gp's
telling me
take these an hour um or half an hour
before food
and and the pharmacist is saying take it
with food so it doesn't
make you you know squeezing the stomach
and things like
what do i do who who do you listen to
and that's you know you're just getting
so many different
different mixed uh mixed messages yeah
so the social worker
suggested i should see a psychologist
so i tried to book one of those and then
you know i had to go to the gp to get a
referral the psychologist
and then when i got to the psychologist
they they didn't know anything about it
um i would have thought that you know
some information would have been passed across
across
i mean it was pretty obvious i was
missing a foot
but yeah no i had to go through the
entire thing again
explain you know what i had been through
explain the trouble i've had with my
kids um
you know my parents and
you know just the the whole thing of
trying to
uh relive the event and relive
you know a lot of the stuff and the
troubles that i've had
so that that was pretty difficult like
that was that was really difficult
and you know i don't know it was
explained to me afterwards that it's
it's kind of like patient
confidentiality they couldn't
transfer the information across i
thought it would be nice to have some
put across just to save that
but then the um i've got the ot and the
uh physio that seem to be communicating
well together and um you know even
though i see them separately
they seem to be uh sharing information
across which
which i think is is really good and that's
that's
you know that's that's just making that
whole ot and physio thing
