In a highly competitive market in the Netherlands a supermarket has to change.
The customer expectations change almost daily and Deen
as a company realized they have to adapt to the wishes of the customer.
If the business changes, also the IT has to change.
During the transformation we were in
we realized if we want to be adaptive you must have some standards.
We chose the Microsoft solutions as our main platform.
One of the first steps is to create a blueprint of the situation you are in
The Mavim transformation platform gave us insights
between the situation now and the situation in the future, so we can define all the gaps.
Based on these fit gaps we could define the requirements of the business
We also use the Mavim solution as a governance tool.
All the details of all the project steps were recorded in the Mavim tool.
The governance was so high level that we are within budget and within time
we delivered the first version of Dynamics AX.
During discussions about the design we used the Mavim toolset as a collaboration
platform to enhance the processes we already designed in the as is situation.
Because it's a Microsoft based solution we used to accelerate our project to import all those
documents we already had about the ITarchitecture.
After importing all that information we had insights in the application portfolio
but also had insights in the business processes and business process requirements.
Because of that combination
we can make decisions about which business process will be supported by which application
and even in the near future we can make decisions to
rationalize the application landscape.
