SPEAKER 1: Glueless sheet vinyl is an affordable way
to update your home's flooring.
To begin, sweep or vacuum to remove any dirt and debris.
Measure the area where the flooring will be installed.
Place the flooring squarely in the room parallel to the walls.
Make relief cuts at all outside and inside corners.
Now trim the excess material around the walls.
Leave a quarter inch gap between the wall and flooring.
Trim molding will cover this gap.
You can place a quarter-inch board
against the wall while cutting to ensure the correct amount
of gap space.
Use a double-sided tape recommended for vinyl flooring
to adhere around bathtubs and high traffic areas.
Apply bathroom caulk to any surfaces touching
bathtubs or sink bases.
Finally, install trim molding into the wall
to hide all the edge gaps.
