don't remember the title. I'm sorry.

expression number 246.
Let's go back in time.
Today we have a great expression. It is
to have away with
someone or something.
to have a way with someone.
What this means is if I have a way with
you, that means I have much influence
over you. I can manipulate
you. I can control you. I can get you to
do things. I'm powerful over you. I have
power over you.
I have a way with dot dot dot dot dot.
So some people might say coach Shane has
a way with English
and that would mean I have a special
ability to teach English or to help
students with their English. I hope so.
I've been teaching English for oh my
goodness over 20 years. So, I hope I
have a way with English. I have a way
with teaching English. I have a way with
helping you understand English.
One thing I do not have a way with is
computers. I do not have a way with
computers. I cannot control computers.
Computers are well, they're my friend,
but if I want them to do something, they
become my enemy.
They say the computer is only as smart
as its operator.
Well, my computers are not that smart.
Do you understand? Yeah. What do you

Ah, yes, I do have a way with animals.
It's not just cats, but also dogs and
other animals. Pretty much anything
except for fish. Every time I go
fishing, the fish don't bite. Yeah, I've
caught a couple fish these days and I
let them go, so I think they I don't
know. Anyway, but with cats and dogs, I
have a way with animals. Animals like
me. I don't know why. I'm happy. Um I do
like animals, but they do like me. Um
especially my cats. My cats are silly.
Yeah, if you're interested in my cats,

great pictures. I know some of you don't
like cats.
I understand. You know, each person has
their own thing, but I can tell you for
sure, I do have a way with cats and
dogs. However, I do not have a way with
children. Children don't listen to me.
Children do not like me. They ignore me.
I have no power, no influence over
children or women. I have no way. I I I
h I I do not have a way with women. Some
guys are very smoothtalkers.
They can control anybody. Men, women,
whatever. Sales people. Yes, really good
salespeople. They have a way with people.

You know, some of my American friends
say that I have a way with words.
That means I'm very good or very
articulate or very funny when I
communicate. I use words in a special way.
way.
So think about it. What do you have a
way with? Words, computers, animals. Do
you have a way with people, men, women?
Do you have a way with your mom? Can you
influence your mom? Do you have more
power over your mom? or does your mom
have a way with you?
It's a great expression. But in order
