0:19 to do cuz like the guy wants to work out
0:20 and he can't [ __ ] work out because
0:22 he's getting headaches. Feels like his
0:24 head's going to explode. Here's what you
0:26 got to consider. The problem is the way
0:28 you're breathing and it's where you're
0:29 holding your tension. So, there are two
0:31 things to consider. That you're holding
0:33 muscular tension in your head and in
0:35 your face. And this is something that we
0:38 do as a culture. I mean, it it's a
0:40 habit. It's a bad habit because we're
0:42 taught that when or we're made to
0:43 believe that when you're thinking,
0:45 right, when you're at school and you're
0:47 you're taking your test that if you do this
0:51 that you're actually thinking, right? We
0:53 think that thinking is like a physical
0:54 activity associated with the head and
0:57 the face. So over time a lot of our
0:59 tension rises right when we're stressed
1:02 out when we're thinking we're doing this
1:06 and we're doing that and you know so the
1:08 tendency is to build what I call those
1:10 neurotic holding patterns towards the
1:12 face. So when you've got to go and
1:13 produce, right, you're in the gym, you
1:16 got to produce, you start doing this
1:17 [ __ ] right? Your face. And you don't
1:19 even have you don't even have to mangle
1:21 your face, but the fact that you drive,
1:23 I'm going to use the wordqi, right? Life
1:25 force energy. It's your nervous system
1:27 and the hormones. It's where your
1:30 attention gathers, right? A lot of you
1:31 guys when I sayqi, get a little
1:33 uncomfortable, like I'm talking about
1:35 voodoo or some [ __ ] It's it's the life
1:37 force energy. It's where you're driving
1:40 your intention is up here. Your head's
1:42 going to [ __ ] pop. And the tendency
1:45 then becomes to when you hold your
1:48 breath to break through a rep,
1:50 hold it in your face. I mean, I feel I
1:51 feel like I'm going to pass out when I
1:54 do that [ __ ] So, you've got to bring
1:59 your energy back down into your balls,
2:01 right? That's the center of your body,
2:04 right? Chinese call that area between
2:05 your basically between your balls and
2:07 your belly button your danten the lower
2:12 danten that is the source of a lot of
2:14 your energy I mean all of our movement
2:17 emanates from that center
2:19 right a lot of our energy is produced
2:20 that's where the sex hormones are
2:24 produced a lot of who a lot of our
2:26 energy I'm going to stop comes from that
2:28 particular area and when I say breathe
2:30 into your balls what I really mean
2:32 because obviously can't you don't lungs,
2:34 you know, diaphragm in your [ __ ] nut
2:36 sack. But when you hear Elliot Hall say
2:38 breathe into your balls, it means bring
2:42 your energy down lower, right? So right
2:44 now I'm talking and I literally feel my
2:46 balls vibrating. Now if you looked at my
2:48 balls, they're not jiggling, right? But
2:50 I can feel the energy and the vibration
2:54 of my voice dropping down. So when I go
2:57 and uh I'm going to perform, I'm
2:59 performing from the center of my being
3:02 down into my lower dantenne. I'm not
3:03 performing from up here, right? That's
3:06 why we're neurotic society cuz we're
3:07 everything's attached to the [ __ ]
3:09 head, right? We don't realize that we've
3:11 got a entire vegetative nervous system
3:14 that keeps our heart pumping and a
3:16 million other things
3:18 at once all day long without you
3:21 thinking about it. the entire vegetative
3:24 nervous system, right? The autonomic
3:25 nervous system, I call it vegetative
3:27 just to piss people off, but the entire
3:29 autonomic nervous system, peripheral
3:31 nervous system,
3:34 works powerfully without the head. Let
3:36 the [ __ ] head go for a little bit,
3:39 guys. All right? And bring it down into
3:41 your balls. Let your balls do a little
3:44 bit of thinking, right?
3:45 And breathe deep. So, when you go ahead
3:47 and you're you're pressing through those reps,
3:48 reps,
3:50 inhale and think about bringing that
3:53 breath as low as you can and then hold
3:56 your belly tight. Pull it in there. Now,
3:58 I'm using the face a little bit because
4:01 it's the entire uh canal, the elementary
4:02 canal. That wouldn't be the right word,
4:05 but to many in many ways it is. The
4:08 entire inner tube of the human being has
4:10 to tense in order to produce that force
4:14 to move the weight. But bring it down
4:16 and center it
4:20 into your balls and and and and lower
4:24 energy centers. All right.
4:27 So that's it. My wife's sending me text
4:30 messages about uh how cold it is in New
4:31 York cuz I'm going to New York this uh
4:34 this weekend for Yo Elliot live. Okay.
4:36 So So that's it, man. Bring your energy
4:38 down lower. You notice how my voice is a
4:41 bit deeper than it was in previous years
4:43 of making videos. I still raise my
4:45 energy cuz I'm I'm a neurotic dude, too.
4:47 You know, my energy I'm [ __ ] I got a
4:48 lot of energy.
4:51 So, I have to make a conscious effort to
4:54 center myself, ground myself. It's why I
4:55 don't wear shoes. I never put on shoes
4:57 because I'm trying to bring my energy
4:59 lower contact with the earth and not be
5:01 up here so much so I don't get headaches
5:04 when I do normal [ __ ] like working out.
