0:02 Everything in your life could look
0:05 different 90 days from today. Your
0:09 energy, your mindset, your confidence,
0:11 your bank account, your relationships,
0:15 and your body. But only if you make the
0:18 conscious decision to stop playing
0:21 small, stop being the person that you've
0:23 always been, and to start acting like
0:27 your dreams actually matter. You've been
0:28 talking about this for a long time,
0:31 haven't you? about changing your life.
0:34 Well, the next 90 days, if you become
0:36 serious, is your window to actually
0:39 become different. No more planning, no
0:43 more buildup, no more excuses, just you
0:45 and your goals for the next 90 days. The
0:48 next 90 days is about you disappearing
0:52 and focusing on changing your life. But
0:53 we have to be really real with each
0:56 other. Maybe so far this year it hasn't
0:58 gone the way that you wanted it to.
1:00 Maybe you had really big goals in
1:04 January and you forgot about them. Or
1:06 maybe you got distracted in some sort of
1:08 way. Hey, maybe this was one of the
1:10 years where life punched you in the
1:13 face. And maybe it didn't. Maybe you
1:16 just went into old decisions and habits
1:18 and you woke up 6 months later and
1:19 you're like, "What the hell have I been
1:21 doing the past six months of this year?"
1:23 Maybe you hid behind fear. Maybe you've
1:25 been delaying. Maybe you've been
1:26 avoiding. Cool. Welcome to being a
1:28 human. We all do that. We will always
1:31 take the path of least resistance. Your
1:34 brain is designed to keep you safe. It
1:36 is always 20 steps ahead of you throwing
1:39 out traps to keep you to stay in the
1:41 exact same place to keep you in your
1:44 comfort zone. That's what your brain is
1:46 really good at doing. You have to
1:50 consciously wake up every single day and
1:52 choose differently than you ever have in
1:55 the past. Because this is the the move
1:58 that most people miss.
2:00 Whatever's happened so far this year, it
2:03 doesn't matter. It's it's not a death
2:06 sentence for you. You can use it as data
2:08 so that the next 90 days, you can go
2:11 allin on what you need to do. You're not
2:13 behind. You're not you're just learning
2:15 what doesn't work. You don't need to
2:16 guilt yourself or shame yourself or any
2:20 of that. You and your f future need to
2:22 matter more than you've been actually
2:24 giving it. And so, let's zoom out real
2:26 quick and really talk about how to make
2:28 changes in your life and to make real
2:30 long-term changes in your life. Because
2:32 for me, when I was younger and I first
2:34 got into self-development, you know,
2:36 over 20 years ago at this point, I was
2:38 just trying to do more things and to try
2:41 to change my life. But really, what this
2:43 is about, this is about who you're
2:46 becoming. This is about you building
2:49 yourself into a different person. And
2:51 whether you realize it or not, you are
2:53 building yourself every single day.
2:55 You're building yourself with every
2:57 single thought that you have and with
3:00 every single action that you take. It's
3:03 like James Clear always says, uh, every
3:05 action that you take is a vote for the
3:08 person that you want to become.
3:09 Think about that next time you're you're
3:11 you're deciding what action to take. Do
3:14 I want to stay the same person that I've
3:15 always been or do I want to make a
3:17 different decision, a different action
3:19 so that I can start building myself into
3:21 somebody different? You're either
3:22 building yourself in the person that you
3:25 want to be or you're building your old
3:28 identity even stronger. So, I want to
3:31 ask you a very simple but maybe a little
3:33 bit uncomfortable question to think
3:35 about. Who do you want to be 90 days
3:37 from today? If you woke up, boom, and
3:39 you were just 90 days from today, you
3:41 could turn the fear off, like there's a
3:42 switch on the side of your head. You
3:43 could just turn off fear. You could turn
3:45 off limiting beliefs. You could turn off
3:46 all of your old stories, and you could
3:49 just take action from the place that you
3:51 want to be. Who could you be 90 days
3:54 from today? Hey, to the 65.6%
3:57 of you who watch my videos but are not
3:59 subscribe, yes, we see it. And if you've
4:01 ever learned anything from any of the
4:03 videos I put out, please do me a favor.
4:05 Hit that subscribe button. It helps the
4:07 channel grow and it helps me keep making
4:09 more content to help you grow as well.
4:12 So with that, let's go back to the show.
4:14 Not how much do you want to accomplish,
4:16 not how much money do you want to make,
4:18 not how much weight do you want to lose.
4:20 Those are really, really important. But
4:22 to go even deeper, who do you want to
4:24 be? Like you're not just building a
4:27 plan, you're building a person. You
4:29 realize that you've been building
4:32 yourself entire life. It's just most of
4:33 the time you've been doing it
4:35 unconsciously. So if you had to take a
4:37 pen and paper, which if you're at home
4:38 and you're sitting with a pen and paper
4:40 or you don't have one in front of you,
4:41 go run and get one real quick. Write
4:44 down who you want to become. Like
4:49 describe the person in detail who can
4:51 easily accomplish everything that you
4:54 want in your future. Not someone that's
4:55 going to have to struggle. I'm talking
4:58 like easily accomplish.
5:00 What do they do? Describe them in as
5:02 much detail as possible. Are they
5:05 strong? Are they focused? Are they
5:07 respected? Are they confident? Are they
5:10 peaceful? Do they take action no matter
5:12 what they feel like? Do they follow
5:15 through with every single thing that
5:16 they say they're going to do? Do they
5:18 not give up on themselves? Do they not
5:20 give up on the people that they love?
5:22 Describe that person as if you're trying
5:23 to be the most descriptive you've ever
5:26 been in describing a person. What's that
5:30 person look like? And then what would
5:33 that version of you do every single day?
5:35 Like if that person was planted into
5:38 your day today, what would they do
5:40 differently than what you do? That's
5:43 what you need to start focusing on. What
5:44 would that ver what would that perfect
5:46 version of me do that could easily
5:48 accomplish what I want? What would they
5:50 be doing today? And what you do is you
5:54 use that person as your north star.
5:56 Every decision that you make is either a
5:59 yes or a no based off of if it aligns
6:01 with who you're trying to become. If it
6:03 aligns with who you're trying to become,
6:05 it's an easy yes. If it doesn't align
6:06 with who you're trying to become, it is
6:09 an easy no. And you use that person as
6:11 your north star. You know, when your
6:13 alarm goes off tomorrow morning and
6:15 you're thinking about hitting that
6:17 alarm, you just use that person as your
6:19 north star. Would that version of me
6:21 that can easily accomplish everything
6:23 that I want in my future? Would that
6:25 version of me sleep in right now? Would
6:27 that version of me skip the gym just
6:30 because they had a long day? Would that
6:33 version of me talk to myself the way
6:35 that I talk to myself? Would that
6:38 version of me be okay with me just
6:39 living a life where I feel like I'm
6:42 getting a buy? How would that version of
6:44 me talk to their wife? How would that
6:45 version of me talk to their children?
6:47 How would that version of me talk to
6:49 their employees? And you write that
6:50 down. You write down as much information
6:53 as you possibly can because that is your
6:55 road map. And so instead of having to
6:57 build this big elaborate plan like
6:59 people always like to do and for you
7:01 people that plan to plan to plan to plan
7:03 and you get ready to get ready get ready
7:05 to get ready, get rid of all that,
7:07 right? Write down who you need to
7:08 become. Write down what you would do and
7:11 then use that person as your road map.
7:14 Becoming that person needs to become
7:17 your new obsession. Nothing else. You
7:19 understand that if you have a a family,
7:20 if you have children, if you have a
7:22 spouse, if you have brothers, sisters,
7:26 mother, father, you becoming that person
7:28 is not selfish because you becoming that
7:30 person is going to change all of their
7:33 lives as well. Not only in the way you
7:34 interact with them, but how much better
7:36 your life can be. With you accomplishing
7:38 more, with you being more, with you
7:39 making more money, this the the options
7:42 that it could afford you in your life,
7:44 you can build yourself into anyone that
7:47 you want. That's the coolest part about
7:49 being a human. That's the thing that I
7:50 think is amazing about being a human.
7:53 You can build yourself into any one that
7:55 you want with the right thoughts and the
7:57 right actions. But you've got to be
8:00 consciously paying attention and
8:02 intentional with as many moments as you
8:04 possibly can in your day. Not going back
8:06 into old habitual patterns, but to
8:10 consciously go, hm, normally I would do
8:12 X, but the perfect version of me would
8:14 do Y. I'm going to do Y instead. And
8:16 you've got to put all of this on paper.
8:18 You've got to make the plan of who is
8:20 this person? What do they do? What do
8:21 they like? And how can I step into being
8:24 that person? Now, let's talk a little
8:27 bit of strategy around this. Okay. One
8:29 of the most important things that you
8:31 can do to change your life is to change
8:33 your environment. When I was writing my
8:37 book, Level Up, I did a ton of research
8:39 on really successful people, like the
8:41 type of people who took ridiculous
8:42 amounts of action compared to the
8:44 average person. And I realized that the
8:46 people who have the most success, like
8:49 they weren't born with confidence. They
8:52 weren't born with willpower.
8:54 What they have actually done is they
8:57 have built their environment to not test
8:59 their willpower. So it's not that they
9:01 have better willpower than you. It's
9:03 that they've built an entire environment
9:06 where they cannot test their willpower.
9:07 And so you've need to figure out what in
9:10 your environment is pushing you forward
9:12 in life. Whether that be a physical
9:13 object, whether that be a physical
9:15 person, which one, like what in your
9:17 environment is pushing you forward and
9:18 making you better? And then what is
9:21 holding you back? It could be internal
9:23 and it can also be external as well. And
9:25 then cut all of the crap that's draining
9:27 you. You know, if you say, I spend too
9:29 much time on my phone. Okay, how can I
9:32 make sure that my phone is away from me
9:33 as much as I possibly can throughout the
9:35 day? I'm going to go downstairs when I
9:36 work from home. I'm going to put my
9:39 phone in the drawer inside of my
9:41 kitchen. It's going to be really hard
9:42 next time I want to grab my phone if
9:44 it's that far away from me. You know
9:46 what? I spend too much time. I spend
9:48 whatever three hours a night watching
9:51 Netflix. Okay, we'll delete Netflix. Get
9:52 rid of your subscription. Or if that's
9:55 too much for you, take your TV off the
9:57 wall for the next 90 days. It's really
9:59 hard to watch TV when you don't have a
10:01 TV on the wall. Maybe you want to read
10:02 more. Okay, well, how can you change
10:04 your environment to support that? Maybe
10:05 there's certain things that you need to
10:06 learn over the next 90 days to make you
10:08 better. Okay. Well, then I'm going to
10:10 put those books on my coffee table. So,
10:12 when I would normally sit down and watch
10:15 Netflix, that TV's in another room, uh,
10:16 but the books are in front of me. I
10:18 might as well actually start to read
10:20 those books. And so, over the next 90
10:23 days, you want to go allin. And here's
10:24 what you have to do is you have to
10:27 ruthlessly eliminate your distractions,
10:30 your environment. Like Instagram,
10:32 unless you use it for business, take it
10:34 off your phone. You know, if it's you
10:35 you don't use it or it's only for work
10:38 or you have two phones, right? Netflix,
10:41 nope. Notifications on your phone and on
10:44 your computer off. Every single ping
10:47 ping, every single one of them pulls you
10:49 out of your zone and straight into
10:52 someone else's agenda. Every energy
10:54 draining conversation or energy draining
10:58 people gone. Listen, this the next 90
11:00 days, it's not about getting rid of all
11:02 of your joy. It's about finally getting
11:04 honest with yourself about how much time
11:07 and energy that you're leaking in your
11:09 life and how much is actually costing
11:11 you in your life as well. All too often
11:13 I hear people have the excuse of like,
11:15 "Oh, I don't have enough time." That's
11:17 complete BS. No, you're probably just
11:19 not really focused on making sure that
11:21 you are as productive as possible in
11:23 your time. The next 90 to days, you want
11:25 your full focus. You want to be fully
11:27 productive in what you need to get done.
11:29 Not your partial effort, none of that
11:31 stuff. You want to be fully in it. You
11:33 could do you could do anything for 90
11:35 days. Do you get that? It's only 90
11:36 days. I'm not saying the rest of your
11:38 life. You could do anything for 90 days
11:39 to try to make a big change in your
11:42 life. You don't need more motivation.
11:43 You don't need any more knowledge. What
11:46 you need is you need less noise. So, you
11:48 got to be like brutally ruthless with
11:52 your time. But, you know, your dreams,
11:54 your future of your life and your
11:56 family's life deserves a ruthless
11:58 version of you. So, get better at saying
12:00 no. Especially if you're a people
12:02 pleaser, get better at saying no. If it
12:05 doesn't align with your north star, the
12:08 answer is no. No questions. Don't need
12:10 to think about it after. No. Okay, got
12:12 to go. All right. Now, the next thing
12:13 that's really important that you need to
12:16 start looking at is the excuses that
12:18 you've been giving yourself. I get it. I
12:20 was I was like a professional excuse
12:23 giver when I was younger and when I was
12:24 first getting into sales and trying to
12:26 grow my business and trying to grow my
12:28 life. I was so good at excuses. And then
12:30 I had a one-on-one coach that called me
12:31 out of my excuses and he's like, "Your
12:33 excuses are I don't care about them. Get
12:35 it done." And I was like, "Oh man,
12:36 someone that's actually going to hold me
12:38 to what I say I'm going to do." Right?
12:41 And so I get it. They they sound
12:45 logical. They feel valid, these excuses,
12:46 right? They're dressed up like they're
12:48 actual facts, but all of them are lies.
12:50 They're just these sneaky little lies
12:52 that your old identity uses just to stay
12:53 in control. So like I'll give you a
12:55 couple of examples that kind of pop into
12:57 my head. Like first one is I don't have
12:59 time. So many people say this. Okay, if
13:01 you think that you don't have time, I
13:03 want you to try this for me. Repeat this
13:05 out loud with me. Just say it right
13:07 after I do. I don't have time to become
13:10 the person that I want to be.
13:13 Okay. Next one. I don't have time to
13:16 create a great life.
13:19 Okay. And last one. I'm too busy to make
13:22 my life and my family's life better.
13:25 Like if you say it out loud, it sounds
13:28 ridiculous, right? So it's not that you
13:29 lack time. What it's really comes down
13:31 to is that you lack boundaries. You lack
13:34 focus. It's the courage to say no to
13:36 things that don't matter. You don't need
13:38 an extra 5 hours a day to change your
13:41 life. You need like one or two
13:45 undistracted, locked in execution time.
13:47 99% of people listening to this podcast
13:50 episode can cut one to two hours of BS
13:52 out of their day. I did some research
13:53 for this podcast episode. The average
13:57 American spends five hours a day on
13:59 their phone.
14:01 Some of them up to eight or nine hours a
14:03 day, but let's just say 5 hours a day.
14:05 Worldwide, it's 4 and a half hours. So,
14:07 let's actually use worldwide. 4 and a
14:09 half hours. Well, look at that. We just
14:11 found an hour or two where you can cut
14:14 your time. Could you like think about
14:15 this for a second? I think about this
14:16 all the time, and this is what really
14:18 gets me to disconnect from my phone.
14:19 Could you imagine getting to the end of
14:22 your life? You're 95 years old. Oh my
14:23 gosh, you're at the end of your life and
14:24 you're looking back on all of the
14:26 memories and everything that you did do
14:28 and you're realizing that you didn't
14:31 create the life that you wanted because
14:34 you were watching what other people were
14:37 doing with their lives on a tiny little
14:40 screen. Uh, like that's not a life
14:43 well-lived, that's a life wasted. And
14:44 that's the thing I always think about
14:45 when I'm like, I'm gonna pick up my
14:46 phone and see what other people are
14:47 doing and nope. Don't give a what
14:49 anybody else is doing. I need to focus
14:51 on my life. Right? What if you're like,
14:54 "Oh, well, I'm not ready yet. I need to
14:56 get ready." That's just perfectionism in
14:57 disguise. And perfectionism is just a
14:59 mask for some sort of fear that you're
15:02 wearing. You know, it's like the fear of
15:03 not being good enough or the fear of
15:05 rejection, the fear of other people's
15:07 opinions or the fear of, you know,
15:09 failing in some sort of way. And so what
15:10 you really need to do is you need to
15:12 start the only way to get ready for
15:14 something like to be ready and to be
15:16 confident in something is through reps.
15:19 You don't become confident and then take
15:22 action. You take action and you become
15:24 confident from that action. And so one
15:25 thing that I recommend that helps with
15:26 that is to try to start yourself off
15:28 with small daily wins every single day
15:30 for the next 90 days. Get out of your
15:33 bed the moment that your alarm goes off.
15:35 Win number one. Make your bed. Win
15:37 number two. And then don't look at your
15:39 phone until you leave the house for
15:41 work. Win number three. That right there
15:43 is three wins. You made you got out of
15:46 your your bed when you wanted to. You
15:48 made your bed. So it's a little teeny
15:50 tiny win and you didn't look at your
15:52 phone. So that that moment that you woke
15:54 up until you left your house was fully
15:56 focused on you and your life. That's
15:58 three wins right there. Do not
16:01 underestimate how much tiny little wins
16:03 in the morning start you off in the
16:05 right foot and help you build momentum.
16:07 And that momentum is what you need in
16:09 order to build a really great day and in
16:12 turn a really great life. You know, I
16:14 want you to just think about this for a
16:17 second, right? Think about the person
16:19 that you want to be and imagine if you
16:22 were that person 90 days from today. How
16:24 much different could your life be 90
16:25 days from today until the day that you die?
16:28 die?
16:30 It could completely change your life if
16:32 you stop overthinking. If you stop
16:34 negotiating with your potential. If you
16:36 went allin,
16:38 if you didn't wait for another year to
16:40 go by, if you just said, "I'm going to
16:43 go all in on myself." You can look at
16:45 anyone that has absolutely changed your
16:47 life, and you can see that those people
16:50 don't wait for motivation. They make a
16:52 plan real quick. Who do I want to be?
16:54 What do I need to get done? And then
16:58 they take completely, ridiculously
17:01 imperfect action. You got 90 days. 90
17:03 days to shut out the world and build
17:05 something real. 90 days to become the
17:06 person that you've been postponing for
17:09 years. 90 days to earn back your own
17:10 self-respect. And 90 days to start
17:12 building the rest of your life. So my
17:15 challenge to you is to figure out who
17:17 you need to become. Write it down on a
17:18 piece of paper. Figure out what actions
17:20 that person would take. Put it down on a
17:22 piece of paper. And then use that as
17:24 your northstar for what actions you need
17:26 to take every single day for the next 90
17:28 days. And if you do that and you are
17:29 really really serious about it, you'll
17:32 wake up 90 days from today and you will
17:33 be a different person than you are
17:35 listening to this right now. Hey, thanks
