0:09 [Applause]
0:12 thank you doctor oh no little kitty
0:15 don't thank me thanks to my healthy set
0:18 of shiny teeth that enabled me to crush
0:22 the hard layer of the invincible walnut
0:24 like it's nothing
0:27 oh you're already here my friends
0:29 i'm sure you witnessed the jaw-dropping
0:32 strength of my teeth
0:35 so today let us speak into our mouth and
0:38 explode the chewy world of bony enameled
0:42 coated structures in the jaws we call
0:50 so friends as we all know your teeth
0:53 help you chew your food while eating
0:55 assist you while talking and makes you
0:58 look better when you flash a smile for
1:00 those selfies
1:03 but there is a lot about this essential
1:07 tool we call the teeth you probably
1:08 don't know
1:11 so first let us know about the types
1:21 although you are born with 20 baby teeth
1:23 they aren't visible until they start to
1:26 come through the gums when you're about
1:29 6 to 12 months old and by the time you
1:32 are 2 to 3 years of age all the teeth
1:34 will usually appear
1:37 this process called teething and the new
1:40 set of teeth are called the primary teeth
1:41 teeth
1:44 baby teeth or melted
1:48 and as you get older around five to six
1:51 years of age these primary teeth begin
1:53 to fall one after the other
1:56 this happens because it is being pushed
1:58 out of the way by the permanent tooth
2:02 that is behind it and gradually replaces
2:04 the primary teeth [Music]
2:05 [Music]
2:08 by the time you are around 12 or 13 most
2:12 of you have lost all your baby teeth and
2:15 have a full set of permanent teeth
2:18 but it's not over yet
2:23 between the age of 17 and 25 most of you
2:26 will have four teeth called wisdom teeth
2:28 that grow at the back of the mouth to
2:33 complete the adult set of 32 shiny white teeth
2:35 teeth
2:39 these 32 set are divided into four
2:41 different types let's start with the incisors
2:43 incisors
2:46 these are your eight front teeth with
2:49 four on the top and four at the bottom
2:51 they help you to cut your food into
2:57 small pieces making it easier to swallow
2:59 next comes the canine
3:02 these are the sharp pointy teeth next to
3:04 your incisors
3:07 there are two on the bottom and two on
3:08 the top
3:11 they help you tear food especially chewy
3:13 foods like meat [Music]
3:14 [Music]
3:17 then comes premolars also called
3:20 bicuspids located next to your canine teeth
3:22 teeth
3:24 they are somewhat flat with ridges on top
3:25 top
3:28 there are four on each side and helps
3:30 you to crush and grind the food you eat
3:34 as they are stronger than your incisors
3:35 and canines
3:39 but not the strongest because that title
3:42 goes to the molars located in the back
3:46 of your mouth and there are four on both
3:49 the top and the bottom
3:52 finally comes the fifth type of tooth
3:55 that is somewhat rare in most people is
3:59 the third molar also known as wisdom
4:02 tooth wisdom teeth sometimes can be
4:04 removed because they can crowd and
4:09 damage other teeth causing pain
4:11 trim your time
4:14 did you know experts believe that wisdom
4:16 teeth may have been needed by people
4:19 millions of years ago who had larger
4:23 jaws and ate food that required a lot of
4:26 chewing like raw meat
4:28 also did you know that right-handed
4:30 people chew food on the right side of
4:33 their mouths and left-handed people chew
4:35 food on the left side
4:38 if not then do observe your friends and
4:40 family's eating pattern
4:43 but do not go too close to their mouth
4:46 or else it will be awkward for them [Music]
4:49 [Music]
