0:02 The messenger sallallahu alaihi wasallam
0:04 before Ramadan enters he would tell his
0:07 companions glad tidings. He would say to
0:10 them Ramadan has made its way to you. A
0:12 blessed month is coming. Allah has made
0:14 it obligatory on each and every one of
0:17 you fasting it. The doors of Jenna are
0:19 opened and the doors of the hellfire are
0:23 closed and the tyrant devils are locked
0:26 up. Allah has in this month of Ramadan
0:29 people in which he frees their necks
0:31 from the hellfire. There is a night
0:34 within this month better than a thousand
0:36 months. Look what then the prophet he
0:39 said. Anyone who is prohibited prevented
0:41 from this blessing then what have you
0:43 been given in life? If you've been
0:46 prevented from seizing this month and
0:48 benefiting from then honestly there is
0:50 nothing in your life that you would
0:52 truly seize. Yesterday and today I have
0:54 been working on my personal schedule
0:56 that I plan inshallah wa'ala to follow
0:59 through the month of Ramadan. And I ask
1:00 Allah subhana wa ta'ala that he makes
1:02 this blessed month of Ramadan a
1:04 successful one for each and every one of
1:06 us. My brothers and sisters, if you
1:08 haven't sat down yet to write down a
1:10 schedule and plan out how your Ramadan
1:12 is going to be, then inshallah I want to
1:14 share with you my humble schedule
1:16 inshallah with you. And may that that
1:18 might be a template for you inshallah.
1:20 And I know you guys are going to do
1:21 better. May Allah preserve and honor
1:23 each and every one of you. The next
1:26 thing is write a schedule which is what
1:27 we're going to do today inshall. You
1:29 write a schedule, a practical step. When
1:31 I wake up in the morning until I go to
1:33 sleep, I'm going to do this in the
1:35 morning. When I wake up, this is what
1:36 I'm going to do. This is what I'm going
1:38 to do. You plan out everything that
1:40 you're going to do. This schedule is not
1:42 restricted to the person who's fasting.
1:44 This could even be done if somebody is
1:46 not fasting for whatever reason. It does
1:49 not mean that you lose out reward. The
1:50 first thing that we do brothers, Ramadan
1:52 has not come yet. So the first thing
1:54 that we need to do is we have to work on
1:58 our intention now here this moment today
2:01 tomorrow is the the intention. So these
2:02 are steps that we need to take for our
2:04 intentions. The prophet he said
2:07 sallallahu alaihi wasallam
2:15 than what you worked for. There is no
2:18 risk better than the risk you sweat it.
2:20 you sweat from
2:26 he used to eat from what he worked for.
2:28 So when you're going to work you know
2:30 that this is something the prophet of Allah
2:32 Allah
2:34 he used to work and what he would eat
2:36 what he worked for. So even that though
2:38 it's a blessed month of Ramadan what
2:40 you're doing is what you're going to get
2:42 reward for it but come with the
2:44 intention and don't underestimate
2:46 intentions. intentions are very strong
2:49 and Im Muslim narrated in his that the
2:52 prophet he said if my slave intends
2:54 something he talks to him his ns and he
2:56 says I'm going to do this the prophet he
2:58 said even if he doesn't do it a reward
3:00 will be written for you just because you
3:02 told yourself I'm going to do this so
3:04 now let's do that let's come with the
3:05 intention that these are the things that
3:07 we're going to do and even if we don't
3:09 get the opportunity to do it we get the
3:11 reward inshallah
3:13 my brothers and sisters the entire day
3:15 when you're driving. Don't be talking on
3:17 the phone and conversing and text
3:19 messaging. Let your tongue can be
3:21 consistent on the remembrance of Allah.
3:23 A lot of people are driving and they
3:26 forget this is a time of
3:28 going to work and coming back. Your
3:31 tongue is consistent. Subhan Allah.
3:34 Subhan Allah. Subhan Allah. Subhan
3:36 Allah. These are the intentions that
3:38 we're going to come with and the the way
3:39 that we're going to fulfill those
3:41 intentions. I've written a schedule
3:45 inshallah and inshallah I hope we can
3:46 all follow through with it and even do
3:48 better. Number one, the intention we're
3:51 going to come with is
3:52 to finish the Quran. That's an intention
3:54 you want to come with. You want
3:56 inshallah this month to finish the
3:59 Quran. Even if you struggle and you
4:01 can't read the mus and you've never
4:03 studied the Quran and you have not read
4:05 the Quran and you don't know how to read
4:08 the Quran, guess what? A portion and
4:10 listen to it. put headphones in and say
4:13 yi I didn't manage to memorize the Quran
4:15 but I will listen to your words not
4:17 listening as a background noise it's a
4:20 set you sit down you cross your legs you
4:22 open the musaf and you follow through
4:24 with it if it's transliteration you put
4:25 your finger on it you follow through
4:28 with it the second intention is
4:31 repentance my brothers and sisters if
4:34 you look at the dean our dean you find
4:38 that the concept of is connected to the
4:39 doing of action
4:41 Even when you do good, you still have to
4:43 doar and ask Allah for forgiveness. When
4:44 you finish your salah, what do you say
4:47 as soon as you sayamlaykum? What do you
4:48 say? Why do you say that? You just
4:50 prayed. Mistakes that occur. When
4:51 Ramadan finishes, what do you do right
4:53 after it? What do you pay? What did the
4:56 prophet say about? It's a purification
4:58 for what the individual who was fasting,
4:59 the mistakes and the shortcomings that
5:02 occurred for him. It's a form of
5:04 Muhammad's life.
5:17 23 years of calling to the dean. He's
5:19 told to ask Allah for forgiveness. So
5:22 there's a bond between
5:25 and good deeds before and even after. So
5:27 now you need to repent. If this is
5:30 dirty, can you pour water inside it? Yes
5:32 or no? And no. No. You need to clean
5:35 yourself now. Today and tomorrow is
5:38 October. getting away from all of the
5:40 nasty things, all of the things that
5:41 were bad habits. You need to clean
5:43 yourself. And we all, every single one
5:46 of us, we're full with sins. May Allah
5:47 forgive us for our mistakes and our
5:50 shortcomings. The next thing is write a
5:51 schedule, which is what we're going to
5:53 do today, inshallah. You write a
5:55 schedule, a practical step. When I wake
5:57 up in the morning until I go to sleep,
5:59 I'm going to do this in the morning.
6:00 When I wake up, this is what I'm going
6:02 to do. This is what I'm going to do. You
6:04 plan out everything that you're going to
6:06 do. I won't go into it. Even I've
6:08 planned out what I will eat. But that's
6:11 not something you guys need to know. But
6:13 you plan out even to the point of what
6:15 yourar is going to be and your is going
6:17 to be. Plan everything so you don't
6:19 waste time on what you're going to eat
6:23 and you're going to have. Also start
6:25 listening to lectures, reminders
6:27 regarding Ramadan. So the spirit is up
6:28 right now. You need to start listening
6:31 to lectures, reminders. Download
6:33 beneficial videos of speakers. Just
6:35 listen to them about Ramadan. What you
6:38 should do get the spirit up because what
6:41 is waiting for you is 30 or 29 nights or
6:44 or days of blessing and so you have to
6:46 hype yourself up yet you have to get
6:49 that energy up so when it comes inshall
6:51 you get the most out of it learn the dos
6:53 and the don'ts the heart of we spoke
6:56 about lectures you need to listen to
6:58 what is halal what isn't haram get
7:02 download and take lessons today and
7:04 tomorrow that's your job what can I not
7:06 do in Ramadan and what Can I do if a
7:07 woman is pregnant? What can she do in
7:09 Ramadan? Does she have to pay fya or
7:11 does she have to bring back the fasting?
7:13 If she's breastfeeding, all of that,
7:16 alhamdulillah, there's a large range of
7:18 speakers that you can download and
7:20 benefit from who has spoken about these
7:22 topics. Are we all together, brothers?
7:23 You're not going to be excused for
7:25 ignorance whilst YouTube is around. The
7:27 knowledge is present. You need to sit
7:29 down and start to learn. If there's
7:30 lectures and classes happening your
7:33 local masjid now, even better. go and
7:37 participate and listen to it inshallah.
7:40 Also look at your salary that you make,
7:43 your income and your savings and set
7:45 aside money that you're going to be
7:47 given in this blessed month of Ramadan.
7:49 Every day plan out what you're going to
7:51 be given. Schedule it. This is the
7:54 amount I make a month. This is inshallah
7:56 what I plan to give out in this blessed
7:59 month of Ramadan. 30 days and increase
8:02 it more in the last 10 nights. If you're
8:04 going to inshallah
8:06 take someone and break their fast,
8:08 notify those people that you're going to
8:10 invite. Let them know in advance. You're
8:11 going to be with me on this day. You're
8:13 going to be with me on this day. Plan it
8:14 all out. The people are going to break
8:17 fast with you. Even if you give a person
8:19 a date, you get the reward of that
8:21 person's fasting without the fasting
8:23 being reduced from them. You don't have
8:24 to give them a meal. Just the date and
8:27 water, you get the reward. One, I think
8:29 it was the COVID days when Ramadan
8:32 entered and I was caught up on the road
8:33 and on the road there was a man standing
8:36 there and he was given out water and
8:37 dates and I just thought about it.
8:40 Subhan Allah. How much reward that
8:42 individual is making. All he's given out
8:45 is a water and dates. Everyone who he
8:49 has given it to is eating that date and
8:51 having that water. He's just taking
8:53 their reward. That's the wise person.
8:55 every corner he's looking at how much
8:58 reward can I make from y every turn what
9:00 can I do in this month and sees it in
9:02 the dy when we look at people who invest
9:03 and think like that we're saying this
9:05 guy is a good money maker but when it
9:07 comes to we should also have that as
9:10 well every opportunity is a way to get
9:12 closer to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala in
9:14 this blessed uh month those are the
9:18 things that you do prior to inshallah
9:20 before Ramadan comes in now Ramadan has
9:23 entered it's called the schedule of the
9:25 fasting ing person. This schedule is not
9:27 restricted to the person who's fasting.
9:28 This could even be done if somebody is
9:31 not fasting for whatever reason. It does
9:33 not mean that you lose out reward. We
9:36 start from before because as Muslims the
9:38 night comes first before the before the
9:41 day the night comes first. We start from
9:45 the night your brothers and sisters do
9:49 not leave out the
9:51 start with the im and finish with the
9:53 im. People are leaving after 4 and
9:55 they're leaving after this. My brother,
9:57 it's only 29 nights. My brother is 30 nights.
9:59 nights.
10:02 Can you not just give Allah those 30
10:04 nights or those 29 nights to the
10:06 fullest? Start with the im Allahbar and
10:08 finish with him. And guess what? If you
10:11 do do that, you will get the reward of
10:13 praying the entire night, even if you go
10:15 home and sleep after that. But you have
10:17 to finish with the imam. And finishing
10:19 with the imam does not mean that you
10:21 leave with the first im. If there's two
10:22 imams, one leaves the first four and
10:23 then the second one leaves the second
10:25 four. You can't say I'm with the first.
10:29 If he does his first four, I'm out. No,
10:32 you finish with the im means the salah.
10:34 The entire prayer that you pray from the
10:37 first to the end, you finish it. If it's
10:39 11, if it's more than that, you pray
10:41 from the beginning. Allah prays the
10:56 Are they equal? The one who knows his
10:57 Lord and the one who doesn't know. Who's
10:59 the one that knows his Lord? The one
11:08 And you know what, my brothers and
11:11 sisters, it's Ramadan. And Allah
11:14 descends. Allah abbar comes down and he
11:17 says is there anyone who wants something
11:19 from me I will give it to them Allah
11:20 he's saying that to you and what you're
11:21 doing is you're walking out of the
11:23 masjid at that time that he's saying
11:25 that subhanahu wa ta'ala that's the
11:27 month we don't do this from the first to
11:30 the last
11:32 that's when we leave the masid the
11:33 second thing my brothers and sisters
11:35 that you should not miss it's your
11:37 program so we started from
11:42 second one is the do not miss the The
11:51 have don't ever miss the and when you
11:53 have the there's an intention of having
11:56 the you get rewarded I told you Ramadan
11:58 is seizing so the prophet said I'll do
12:00 it and I'll tell you something my
12:02 brothers and sisters I've actually seen
12:04 myself and also through other people the
12:09 people who have generally stay up work
12:11 the Ramadan doesn't get to them they
12:12 don't lose energy
12:14 That's the wisdom behind it. Ramadan is
12:15 you're awake, you're working, you go
12:20 work. So have good food at number three,
12:23 after the ask Allah for forgiveness.
12:32 until the you you've eaten. Please don't
12:34 go back to sleep. Allah said about the believers
12:36 believers
12:38 that the righteous people they are the
12:40 ones who ask Allah for forgiveness
12:43 subhanahu wa tala
12:45 before the day starts of Ramadan then
12:47 the adan of goes off don't [snorts] go
12:50 to the masjid yet for the men pray two
12:52 in your house follow the sunnah revive
13:02 and hadith another hadith says
13:03 the two
13:05 It's better than this and everything
13:07 that's in it. Once you've the adan has
13:09 gone off, don't say, "Oh, between the
13:12 adan and the there's 20 minutes or 25
13:14 minutes." No, you prayed, right? Put
13:16 your shoes on, get the boys ready and
13:18 say, "Let's go and go to the masjid."
13:21 You go to the masid very early. The
13:22 prophet he said in the hadith if the
13:25 people were to know the reward that is
13:28 in in the masid and the they would have
13:30 come even if they were crawling even if
13:32 you you can't even walk they would you
13:35 would come once you enter the masjid you
13:36 sit down you've you come very early you
13:39 pray again another two reward once
13:42 you've done your mid and you've prayed
13:44 and take your time the time that you're
13:45 most closest to Allah is when you're in
13:48 a state of beg him ask Allah subhana wa
13:50 ta'ala for all the things that you ever
13:51 wanted there's no one between you and
13:54 Allah. Speak to him directly. Allah said
13:57 ask me I will accept your dua. Used to
14:00 say I do not carry the burden. I do not
14:03 carry the burden of asking myself
14:05 whether my dua is accepted. I don't
14:07 that's not a burden I carry. I know if I
14:09 make the dua my my dua will be accepted
14:15 ask me I will give it to you. So for you
14:17 not getting it is because you didn't
14:19 even ask for it. So you the sudjud that
14:21 you go into you beg Allah that's the
14:23 time you're closest to him subhanahu wa
14:26 ta'ala once you've finished your that
14:28 you prayed remember you're still between
14:32 the and the hasn't been done sit down
14:34 and raise your hands the dua is not
14:38 rejected the dua is not rejected between
14:40 the adan and the what and the it's not
14:43 rejected it's accepted and there's so
14:44 many things that we need to ask Allah
14:46 subhana wa ta'ala we need to beg Allah
14:48 for our our personal situation. We need
14:51 to beg Allah for the situation of our
14:52 Muslim brothers in Palestine and other
14:54 place in the world. So my brothers and
14:56 sisters, this is the opportunity you beg
14:58 Allah that Allah rectifies the situation
15:00 of the Muslims. If you've begged and
15:02 you've done your dua, sit down and
15:06 recite Quran. Start reciting the Quran.
15:08 Sorry, the sorry would go off and you
15:10 pray the jab. Once you finish the salah
15:12 and you sayamlaykum,
15:15 this is do not move from your position.
15:16 Don't move. Stay in the position that
15:19 you are. Don't move until the sun rises.
15:21 The prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam
15:24 if the person prays and he remains in
15:27 his place until the sun rises then he
15:29 after that he praises what praise prays what
15:30 what
15:34 hey what's the reward for that person
15:35 is that a reward you want to miss out in
15:38 the month of Ramadan as I said to you
15:40 now is when you look at every good deed
15:42 that you can do in the day my brothers
15:45 and sisters my advice this is my
15:48 personal advice I would remain in that
15:51 place until Sunset as sun rises pray my
15:56 go home and I will read Quran until the
15:59 every Jew can be read in half an hour
16:01 that's if you're going good paced if
16:02 you're going a bit too fast you can go
16:05 20 minutes but half an hour is decent 30
16:08 minutes you can finish a Jew
16:10 a day you can finish the Quran at least
16:14 once but my advice is that this month is
16:16 the month of the Quran it's about
16:20 finishing the Quran as much as you can.
16:23 It was said about Alibabu that he used
16:24 to finish the Quran once in the morning
16:26 and once at night time. That's not
16:29 including his prayers and his so he
16:31 would finish the Quran 60 times in the
16:34 month of Ramadan. How many times? 60
16:37 times. I looked at it. It took him if we
16:42 go to 30 30 minutes 15 hours every day.
16:46 40 hours 14 hours was reading Quran.
16:49 That's not including his what? His
16:51 and his in other words, all he was doing
16:54 was what? Reading the Quran. If you can
16:56 do that,
16:58 if you can't like you can finish it
16:59 every seven days. And that's what the
17:01 Sahabas used to do. The seven-day
17:04 program is as follows. You start from
17:06 it's called
17:08 it's an acronym, right? Each letter
17:10 represents a surah.
17:14 The is for starts from
17:21 from you start and you go the first day to
17:23 to
17:26 alhamdulillah. The second day you start from
17:27 from
17:30 and you go
17:32 to ununus. That's the second day. The
17:47 so from
17:50 the third day the fourth day you start from
17:52 from
18:03 and you take it toah
18:06 What day is that? The fourth day.
18:16 right starts with that. What day is
18:20 that? The fifth day, right?
18:23 Then you take it from
18:27 and you take it to for me
18:29 and the last day which is the seventh
18:34 day you start from and you take it to
18:36 seven days you can finish the Quran like
18:38 that there's the serious more serious
18:40 ones what do you want to do 10 Jews
18:44 every day 10 every day how do you do 10
18:47 every day you start fromah
18:55 10 and then you start from
18:58 you take it to
19:00 then which is the second day. The third
19:03 day you start from
19:07 and you take it to 10 10 that's three
19:09 days you finish it in then there's those
19:11 who want to finish it every day at least
19:14 once so 30 days they finish it those
19:17 what do they have to do
19:20 the point is my brothers
19:22 try your best and the intention is to
19:24 finish as much as you can and Allah will
19:29 give you the reward how do you do you
19:31 have to sit one time and do it. I prefer
19:33 that. Just say it one time and and read
19:36 it. But what you could do is
19:39 approximately it's about four sometimes
19:42 a bit more. You can read it after every
19:44 salah. You can break it down. After
19:46 every salah you read portion, after you
19:48 read another portion, after you read
19:50 another portion, after you read another
19:52 portion, and after ish you read another
19:54 portion. You can do it like that. You
19:56 can divide it up like that if you want
19:58 to. Or what you could do is you can read
20:00 it all in the morning and what you will
20:02 find my brothers and sisters is that day
20:05 wallah your energy your heart your mind
20:07 everything is just going to be good so
20:10 that's in terms of the Quran what you do
20:12 once you finish reciting the Quran is as
20:14 the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam
20:17 mentioned you ask Allah to place baraka
20:19 in your day for you a lot of people
20:20 forget that once you finish reciting
20:22 your portion of the Quran and you've
20:25 read it maybe up to as I said beg Allah
20:31 "Oh Allah, I ask you the good of this day.
20:39 Oh Allah, I ask you the opening of this
20:41 day, the baraka and the victory of this
20:48 and I seek refuge in you from the evil
20:50 that's within this day
20:53 and also the evil which is after it."
20:55 Then I will say brothers, you go to sleep.
20:57 sleep.
20:59 You pray and you go to sleep with the
21:01 you come to the masjid again and you
21:05 pray and you go and you sleep. This
21:08 sleep that you're going to sleep come
21:09 with the intention. Remember you don't
21:12 want to waste anything. Everything is
21:15 reward. So before you go to sleep you're
21:17 saying you're coming with the intention
21:20 that this sleep is for what? It's for your
21:22 your
21:26 and to get nearness to Allah.
21:29 Look what he said. He said, "I come with
21:31 an intention for my sleep." Just the
21:33 same way I have an intention when I pray
21:35 and I fast.
21:37 My brothers and sisters, a lot of
21:39 brothers, they provide for their wives
21:41 and they prov provide for their children
21:42 and they're missing the reward cuz they
21:44 don't even come with the intention. And
21:46 do you know how much you lose out by not
21:48 coming with the intention? Everything
21:50 you do, even the food that you place in
21:51 the mouth of your wife, you can get
21:54 reward for it. Everything is
21:56 with an intention. I do want to say
21:58 those brothers who are wealthy, just
21:59 saying, putting it out there because
22:01 some people are going to watch it. Those
22:03 of you who are wealthy, some brothers
22:05 might have businesses. They don't work a
22:07 9 to 5 job. They've got business. They
22:08 would close their business if they knew
22:10 that month the rent could be paid, but
22:12 they make the rent from what? If they
22:14 work, they have that money that they
22:16 worked is what they use to pay their
22:18 rent. So if they close in the month of
22:20 Ramadan, they're not going to get money
22:22 for the rent. So they have to work.
22:25 People whose situation is like that. If
22:27 Allah has given you wealth and you say,
22:29 "Listen, I know you're a person who's
22:30 going to fast and pray and read a lot of
22:32 Quran and I know what's imprisoning you
22:34 and preventing you from doing that. It's
22:36 your company and your business that you
22:38 have to do. How about this? I will pay
22:40 your rent and the costs that need to be
22:42 paid. Go in the masjid and subshall
22:44 participate with us in these righteous
22:45 deeds." If Allah has given you wealth
22:47 and you do that for someone, you get the
22:50 reward of that person's fasting and that
22:51 per do it for people who are like in
22:54 gonna do not a brother who's going to go
22:56 home and sleep and someone you know
22:58 who's going to do good deeds and benefit
23:02 from it who you know is known to be a
23:03 pillar in the masid. He's like a pillar
23:05 meaning the pillar never leaves the
23:06 masid. He's like that he's always there
23:08 praying but what's stopping him is that
23:10 he's got a job. If you can lift that
23:12 from him you'll get the reward and this
23:14 month is about reward. One of the things
23:16 that the prophet was praised for, I'm
23:17 going to talk about that inshallah tala
23:20 is his generosity. The prophet was
23:22 generally a generous person and his
23:25 generosity will increase and it will go
23:27 more in the month of Ramadan. It would
23:29 just go up sallallahu alaihi wasallam.
23:32 He would give and he would give and he
23:38 This is going to be the thing to help
23:40 you if you come with the intention.
23:43 Every that you give this money was money
23:46 Allah gave you and he's testing with you
23:47 testing you with it to see what you're
23:49 going to do with it. If you give what
23:51 you're going to get is so so much. I was
23:53 pondering over the verse. Those people
24:11 "Allah said about these people,
24:14 we feed you for the sake of Allah.
24:17 Don't say thank you to us. Don't show us
24:19 gratitude. This is not for you. It's for
24:22 Allah." Look what they said.
24:23 The reason why we're doing this is we're
24:25 scared. What are we scared of? We're
24:27 scared of our Lord Allah. A day where
24:29 its punishment is severe. My brothers,
24:38 Allah saved them because of that. The
24:40 punishment of the hellfire. This money,
24:41 my brothers and sisters, the best
24:43 investment is the money that you give
24:45 for the sake of Allah. You've never lost
24:46 that money. It's waiting for you on the
24:48 other side, a day when you're most in
24:51 need of it. So give Ramadan is opening
24:52 your hand
24:54 take people to your house feed them give
24:57 them food invite people and it's that
24:59 moment if someone is a new Muslim take
25:00 that responsibility of breaking their fast
25:02 fast
25:05 when it comes before it comes you pray
25:08 for before how much do you pray for
25:11 according to the prophet he said may
25:14 Allah have mercy upon a slave
25:17 before he prays for the massids
25:19 generally what they do is they do a
25:21 little reminder after the country. Sit
25:24 and listen. If you your local masjid
25:25 does not do that, the area doesn't do
25:27 that, no problem. I would tell you to go
25:31 home and listen. Set yourself a target
25:38 something. Go on a program that you've
25:39 been you've always wanted to get to the
25:41 end of and set yourself. That is the
25:44 time that you study. Take a notebook and
25:46 study. I would say what you study at
25:49 that time let it be something that is
25:52 what related to the Quran ideally that's
25:54 related of the Quran and things like
25:57 that take that and also what you're
26:00 taking let it not beam and and all of no
26:02 things that are going to be practical
26:03 the videos and the lectures you're
26:05 listening things which are practical
26:06 that you can go and straight away act
26:10 upon so that time untilar what do you do
26:12 study tell your children to do the same
26:13 if you guys if you want to share a book
26:15 with them or you want to share a lesson
26:16 with them or a class or you've prepared
26:18 something for them. Those of you who
26:22 speak Arabic read the by called
26:27 if your Arabic is even more advanced and
26:31 higher I would tell you to read the
26:34 what he has written on the of the
26:36 Ramadan. I tried to cover it in the last
26:38 two days but I I didn't finish it. It's
26:41 a lot of pages. It's about 128 pages,
26:42 but you can finish it every day if you
26:44 set yourself a portion for the entire
26:45 month of Ramadan. You could go through it
26:48 it enters
26:50 enters
26:54 enters break your with dates, water, and
26:56 me personally, brothers, I would not
26:59 advise you to eat because it would show
27:02 in your brothers are like
27:04 vomit like burping in the in the salah
27:05 and they're stressing the other people
27:07 around them, the smell that's coming out
27:09 and all of that. So what would I say
27:11 brothers? Eat basic. And when you go
27:15 into the masid from don't leave the
27:18 masid until are we all together Ramadan.
27:20 This is Ramadan. If you do let it be to
27:23 go home and sleep for me and maybe a
27:25 little bit after
27:27 will do me good for the day. But if you
27:29 feel like mashallah you need a lot of
27:31 sleep and that's how Allah created you
27:33 Allah creates people differently then
27:35 what you do is you stay in the masjid until
27:36 until
27:45 go home and sleep and wake up before
27:48 that time that you're sitting between
27:51 and you get the reward of somebody who's
27:53 praying even that you're not praying the
27:55 prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam he
27:58 said anybody who prays a salah does not
28:00 leave his position. and you paid m you
28:02 did not leave your position and you're
28:04 sitting waiting for the other prayer you
28:07 are as though someone who's engaged in
28:09 salah even if you're not praying you're
28:10 sitting there you're just doing yourar
28:12 in between those times based on people's
28:14 schedules the following things is what I
28:17 would encourage you all to do keep
28:19 knowledge of your neighbors how are they
28:21 sending themar exchange and giving
28:24 themar calling family relatives seeing
28:25 how they're doing if your family
28:27 relatives on the way to the masjid or
28:29 walking back go and visit them, you get
28:31 a reward for it. Ask them their
28:33 well-being. If you Allah has given you
28:36 wealth, this the best is the sodak that
28:38 you give to your relatives. So if you
28:40 give money to your sister and her family
28:42 and you say this is yeah your
28:44 brother-in-law, you say look this month
28:46 inshallah this is add this to the
28:48 shopping of your Ramadan and etc. your
28:51 relatives, your parents, your dad, your
28:53 mom, you do that. My brothers and
28:55 sisters, the thing that I will advise
28:57 you all to stay away from and I will
29:00 encourage the sisters, brothers, do not
29:02 use this opportunity for your wives to
29:05 cook you dishes after dishes.
29:07 She needs to worship Allah as well. It's
29:09 not fair. She's spending, she'll get
29:10 rewarded, no doubt, and she gets
29:12 rewarded for that. But she spends a
29:14 whole day in the kitchen and this is not
29:16 increasing her ean. Don't burden your
29:19 wife with all these different dishes.
29:21 When you bring people as guests, it's
29:23 not a bad thing that you give them a
29:26 decent normal meal. Don't go out of your
29:28 way. I remember a brother told me, and
29:30 this is a sheh I really look up to. His
29:37 I love this man so much. And anyone who
29:39 sees him will know that. It's a story.
29:41 It's a true story. A brother told me
29:43 there was an invitation that happened in
29:46 his house. It was either a high ranked
29:49 ruler from Indonesia or Malaysia. I
29:51 don't remember the two. I'm sorry.
29:52 Malaysians and Indonesians, they get
29:54 offended if you mix one with the other.
29:56 But I love you all. So, one of them came
29:58 and visited him in his house. And the
30:00 food that Shehikh Abdazak
30:02 gave them was what he normally eats. And
30:04 when they sat down, the brother said,
30:08 "Wallah, the food we ate was so basic."
30:10 And he said to him, "Wallah, that's what
30:12 we eat and that's all we have."
30:14 Burdening. You put pressure on your
30:16 wife. You put pressure on yourself and
30:19 you do too much.
30:22 It's wrong. And it's wrong. And it is
30:24 also wrong that in the month of Ramadan,
30:26 there's food we connect to Ramadan. food
30:28 that we connect to Ramadan. If I see
30:30 samosas today, I think of Ramadan. Who
30:32 else is like that? There's dishes that
30:34 we think only when we see them Ramadan.
30:37 The month that we were what's the
30:40 meaning of Ramadan is to refrain. And
30:42 we've learned Ramadan is what? We eat
30:44 these kind of food. And so it's Ramadan
30:46 where you start seeing so much dishes
30:48 cooked that are not cooked outside the
30:51 month of Ramadan. Stay away from food.
31:01 Don't feed yourself too much. And
31:04 inshallah, I would encourage you all to
31:06 follow a good diet in this month. It's
31:09 an opportunity to learn to stay away
31:11 from oily stuff and don't kill your body
31:13 and yourself. I want to talk about
31:15 something I'm I know you're all used to.
31:17 You hear it a lot, but the reminder
31:19 truly benefits the believer. My brothers
31:22 and sisters,
31:23 there is nothing greater than this
31:25 blessed month that's coming our way. We
31:26 have to feel this. We have to know it.
31:30 It's an opportunity. It's a and for us,
31:32 the opportunities don't come very often.
31:34 It is an opportunity. You can change
31:36 your life. You can become something
31:38 else. A lot [snorts] of us don't yet
31:41 realize what is coming to us. My
31:43 brothers and sisters, Ramadan is a
31:46 blessed month, the greatest month in the
31:49 entire year. 12 months, the best month
31:52 is which month? Ramadan. And if you look
31:55 at all of the previous prophets, who's
31:58 the best of all of them? Muhammad. And
31:59 if you look at all of the previous
32:03 scriptures, which scripture is the best?
32:04 The Quran. And look at this, my brothers
32:07 and sisters. All three of them combined
32:10 in the month of Ramadan. Muhammad, the
32:12 Quran first came down on him in the
32:14 month of Ramadan. The Quran first of all
32:15 came down in the month of Ramadan. It
32:17 started on the prophet in the month of
32:19 Ramadan. This month, that's why it's
32:23 unique. The best speech, the greatest
32:26 speech, the real miracle came down in
32:28 this blessed month. Allah subhana wa
32:38 the month of Ramadan is the month in
32:40 which the Quran came down. So there's a
32:42 strong bond between the Quran and the
32:44 month of Ramadan, and we will talk about
32:46 that later. But there's no other month
32:47 that the prophet said the following
32:50 about. The prophet he said anyone who
32:53 fasts the month of Ramadan with two
32:55 conditions in a state of eman and doing
32:57 it for Allah's sake alone subhana wa
32:59 ta'ala hoping reward from Allah your
33:01 sins will be forgiven. Is that it? No.
33:04 And if you stand so in the daytime
33:06 you're fasting and at the at the night
33:08 what are you doing? You're praying
33:10 you're standing up in prayer your sins
33:12 will also be forgiven. But two
33:15 conditions eman and
33:19 Is that it? The prophet said it again.
33:22 He said even guess what? Fast in the
33:24 month of Ramadan, your sins will be
33:27 forgiven. Pray at night,
33:30 your sins will be forgiven.
33:32 Your sins will be forgiven. How could
33:34 this month finish and your sins have not
33:37 been forgiven? The prophet he said, "May
33:41 the nose of a person be dusted. Ramadan
33:44 the month of Ramadan entered and you
33:46 haven't been forgiven. Does that mean
33:48 how can it happen that a month in no
33:50 other month in the year does Allah
33:52 subhanahu wa ta'ala free from the
33:54 hellfire people like this blessed month
33:58 of Ramadan every single day there are
34:00 number of people who have been taken off
34:02 the list of the people of the hellfire
34:03 and they've been putting on the they've
34:05 been put on the list of the people of
34:08 Jenna opportunity it's a goal something
34:10 to look forward to that's why the
34:12 messenger sallallahu alaihi wasallam
34:14 before Ramadan enters he would tell his
34:16 companions ions glad tidings. He would
34:19 say to them, "Ramadan has made its way
34:22 to you. A blessed month is coming. Allah
34:24 has made it obligatory on each and every
34:27 one of you fasting it. The doors of the
34:29 sat are opened and the doors of the
34:31 hellfire are closed. The doors of Jenna
34:33 are opened and the doors of the hellfire
34:36 are closed and the tyrant devils are
34:39 locked up. Allah has in this month of
34:42 Ramadan people in which he frees their
34:45 necks from the hellfire. There is a
34:47 night within this month better than a
34:49 thousand months. Look what then the
34:51 prophet he said. Anyone who is
34:54 prohibited prevented from this blessing
34:56 then what have you been given in life?
34:59 If you've been prevented from seizing
35:01 this month and benefiting from then
35:03 honestly there is nothing in your life
35:14 and
35:16 they mention that this hadith is an
35:18 evidence that you give glad tidings to
35:20 the people regarding the month of
35:22 Ramadan. When Ramadan enters you give
35:24 the people glad tidings it's a sunnah.
35:26 Look what he said. This hadith is an
35:28 evidence that you give glad tidings to
35:30 the people that the blessing month of
35:32 Ramadan has come because wall brothers
35:34 you give glad tidings to someone
35:36 regarding a blessing that they've
35:37 they've achieved. If you've reached
35:40 Ramadan wall that's a blessing. So when
35:42 Ramadan enters message all the people
35:44 that you know and say a blessed month
35:46 has come and give them the advice that
35:50 the prophet gave them sai.
35:52 My brothers and sisters, those who from
35:54 amongst you who Allah has given wealth,
35:56 this month is a month where you if you
35:58 can, you go um the prophet sallallahu
36:00 alaihi wasallam said to a woman from the
36:03 women of he said to her if the month of
36:08 Ramadan comes go and do um why because a
36:11 in Ramadan it's equivalent to going to
36:12 Hajj another wording says it's
36:14 equivalent to going to Hajj with the
36:17 messenger saiam.
36:19 So it's a month you plan out what you're
36:21 going to be doing step by step. The
36:23 doors of Jenna are open. Wall my
36:25 brothers. What is it that the believer
36:28 lives for? What is your goal in life?
36:29 Why are you here? What are you trying to
36:31 achieve in this world? Is it not to
36:33 attain Jenna? Is that not what you want?
36:35 Yeah. My brothers, the salah that we
36:38 pray, the fasting,
36:40 the ties of kinship, all the good that
36:42 we do, may Allah accept it from us, the
36:44 purpose and the objective behind it is
36:46 what? To enter Jenna. that Ramadan is
36:49 that opportunity. The doors of Jenna are
36:51 open. But really fathom it. Wallah
36:54 brothers, think about it. The doors of
36:56 Jenna are opened and the doors of the
36:59 hellfire are closed. Meaning it's a
37:01 month where it's a a path to Jenna.
37:04 That's it. So for you to create a route
37:06 to the hellfire, there's a bad chip
37:09 inside you. There's a bad heart that you
37:12 have. The doors are locked. The are
37:14 chained up. All you just have to do is
37:16 exert the effort and work very hard.
37:17 Anything I've said that was wrong or
37:19 incorrect is from me and Allah and his
