0:06 It feels like an eternity since I last
0:09 made a good creepy video, especially one
0:11 involving unsolved
0:13 mysteries. So, from a lighthouse where
0:15 all of the keepers vanished under very
0:17 strange circumstances to a man who
0:20 visited a cave near the notorious Nellis
0:21 Air Force base in the middle of the
0:24 Nevada desert and never returned. Here
0:26 are five of some of the creepiest
0:29 unsolved mysteries I can find. So, as
0:33 always, hit those lights, kick back, and
0:36 enjoy the Ellen Moore
0:38 Lighthouse. In 1895, construction
0:40 started on a lighthouse on one of the
0:43 uninhabited Flannon Islands in Scotland.
0:46 The lighthouse was completed in 1899 and
0:48 was lit on December the 7th, being
0:50 manned by three keepers, Thomas
0:52 Marshall, James Dukat, and Donald
0:54 MacArthur, who were responsible for
0:57 maintaining the paraffin powered light.
0:59 But in the middle of December 1900, just
1:01 a year after the men had been stationed
1:03 there, the light went out. At the time,
1:05 the weather was treacherous, and it
1:07 wasn't until Boxing Day that a ship
1:09 captained by James Harvey and carrying
1:11 replacement lightkeeper Joseph Moore was
1:14 able to reach the island. After numerous
1:16 reports of the lights failure, as the
1:18 ship reached the landing platform not
1:20 far from the lighthouse, they were
1:21 surprised that none of the keepers were
1:24 waiting for their arrival. Harvey blew
1:26 his horn and sent up a warning flare to
1:28 alert the keepers, but there was no
1:31 response. Joseph rode ashore, but as he
1:33 reached the lighthouse, he realized
1:35 something was very wrong. The lighthouse
1:37 door was unlocked, and one of the three
1:39 oiled skin jackets was still hanging on
1:41 its peg. In the kitchen was halfeaten
1:44 food and overturned chairs, and even the
1:46 wall clock had stopped. There was no
1:48 sign of the three keepers, so Mo
1:50 returned to the ship, and Captain Harvey
1:52 ordered a search of the island. An
1:54 official telegram was sent to the
1:56 mainland and further searches of the
1:57 island were conducted, but nothing
1:59 further was found apart from some
2:02 unusual entries in the lighthouse log.
2:05 On the 12th of December, Marshall wrote,
2:07 "Severe winds the likes of which I've
2:10 never seen before in 20 years." He also
2:12 noted that principal keeper Ducat had
2:14 been very quiet, and MacArthur, known to
2:16 be a particularly tough man, had been
2:20 crying. On the 13th, it stated that all
2:22 three men were praying as the storm
2:24 raged. The final entry was two days
2:27 later on the 15th of December, which
2:30 simply read, "Storm ended. See calm. God
2:33 is over all." What was strange about
2:34 this was that according to weather
2:36 reports, the storm did not hit the
2:39 island until the 17th of December, 5
2:40 days after Marshall's first mention of
2:43 it. So, what had happened to the three
2:45 men? Well, there are a few theories.
2:47 Ropes were found strewn on the rocks by
2:49 the landing platform. These were ropes
2:51 that were used on the supply crate. So,
2:53 was it possible the men tried to
2:55 retrieve the ropes after they came free
2:57 from the supply crate and were swept
2:59 away by a huge wave. The problem with
3:02 this is bodies lost at sea will usually
3:04 wash up, but none of the three bodies
3:06 ever have. And if they did go out to the
3:08 lighthouse, then why did one of them
3:10 leave behind his coat if it was severe
3:12 weather? These were experienced
3:14 lighthouse keepers and knew what they
3:15 were doing.
3:17 Others have suggested one of the men
3:19 killed the other two, but this does not
3:21 hold up well. After the unexplained
3:23 event, the many keepers who inhabited
3:25 the Ellen Moore after this tragic
3:27 incident often reported strange voices
3:29 in the wind and swear they were calling
3:31 out the names of the lighthouse keepers.
3:33 It was later found out that the original
3:35 land the lighthouse was built on was
3:37 named after the sixth century bishop who
3:40 built a small chapel there. This chapel
3:42 was very feared from the local shepherds
3:44 who said that spirits haunted the area.
3:46 This led to the thoughts that the
3:47 lighthouse keepers were scared by some
3:49 paranormal force, possibly causing them
3:51 to flee the safety of their lighthouse
3:54 and meet their death in some unknown
3:56 way. Whatever the cause, the
3:57 disappearance of these three men remains
3:59 a complete mystery and means the
4:01 Flanagan Island, its creepy chapel
4:04 ruins, and its now automated lighthouse
4:06 are still talked about to this
4:11 day. The exorcism of Latoya Ammons. This
4:12 next story was published in the Indie
4:16 Star in January 2014 and to date is the
4:18 most read article ever to feature in
4:20 their newspaper. And after hearing it,
4:24 you'll see why. In 2011, Latoya Ammon,
4:26 her three children, and her mother moved
4:29 into a rented house in Gary, Indiana.
4:31 And from the start, they were plagued by
4:33 huge black flies that kept returning
4:35 even after supposedly being
4:37 exterminated. The family then started
4:40 hearing noises coming from the basement.
4:42 And on one occasion, Ammon's 12-year-old
4:44 daughter was seen levitating unconscious
4:46 above her bed. After seeking advice from
4:48 the church and attempting to rid the
4:50 house of evil using a Bible, things
4:53 supposedly got a whole lot worse. So
4:55 bad, in fact, the children were often
4:57 hospitalized after falling unconscious
4:58 while apparently being possessed and
5:01 chanting satanic verses. On one
5:03 occasion, after two of her sons were
5:05 taken to the hospital, a nurse and CPS
5:07 worker apparently witnessed one of them
5:10 being moved by an unseen force. Police
5:12 and medical staff were concerned that
5:14 Latoya had some kind of mental disorder
5:15 and was encouraging her children to
5:18 behave this way, but she fiercely denies
5:20 this. Unable to explain the children's
5:22 behavior, officials took emergency steps
5:24 to take custody of them, saying they
5:26 were experiencing spiritual and
5:28 emotional distress. A Catholic priest
5:30 was called in and did an intense
5:32 blessing on the house to expel bad
5:34 spirits and allegedly performed three
5:35 exorcisms on
5:38 Latoya. All of this was legitimately
5:39 performed with the police and
5:42 authorities being informed, although
5:44 none of them witnessed the actual
5:46 exorcisms. 6 months after her children
5:48 were removed, they returned to their
5:49 family who by now had moved to
5:52 Indianapolis and have since settled into
5:54 their new home. Ammons maintains that it
5:56 was not psychologists that resolved her
5:59 problems, but God. She also said, "When
6:01 you hear something like this, do not
6:02 assume it's not real because I've lived
6:05 it. I know it's real." After the article
6:07 had been published, the original house
6:09 was purchased by ghost hunter Zack
6:11 Beans, who arranged for the family to
6:13 return to the house as part of a
6:15 documentary he was making, but he has
6:17 since had the house demolished.
6:19 There's obviously a lot more to this
6:20 story than what I can fit in in this
6:22 video, and the original article is a
6:25 very interesting read. So, was this just
6:27 another money-making venture, or was
6:29 Latoya Ammons possessed by an unknown
6:31 force that was terrorizing her family?
6:34 What do you
6:36 think? The moving coffins of the Chase
6:39 family vault. Christ Church Parish
6:42 Church in Barbados has a checkered past.
6:44 The current building is the fifth church
6:46 built for the parish after the previous
6:47 four were damaged by floods and
6:50 hurricanes and in the case of the fourth
6:52 burnt to the ground. The present church
6:55 was built in 1935 and retained three of
6:57 the walls from the burntout ruin.
6:59 However, it is not the church that is
7:01 mysterious, but the graveyard to be more
7:03 precise, the Chase vault and its
7:06 mysterious moving coffins.
7:08 The story starts in 1808 when the Chase
7:10 family purchased a vault in the Christ
7:12 Church graveyard for the burial of their
7:15 infant child, Mary Anne Marie. The vault
7:17 was made of concrete and coral and was
7:19 entered via stone steps and sealed by a
7:22 huge slab of marble. However, the tomb
7:24 was not vacant and already held the body
7:26 of a lady called Mrs. Godard, who had
7:29 been buried there the year before. The
7:30 Chase family thought it was
7:32 disrespectful to move her wooden coffin,
7:34 so left it in the vault alongside their
7:36 daughter's lead casket. Sadly, just four
7:39 years later, a second daughter also died
7:41 at the age of four, supposedly starving
7:43 herself after being abused by her
7:46 father. Her lead casket was placed
7:49 alongside her sister in the vault. Just
7:51 a month after her death, her father,
7:53 Thomas Chase, committed suicide. Thomas
7:55 was prepared to be placed in the vault
7:57 alongside his daughters, but when the
7:59 vault was opened, instead of the neat
8:01 row of coffins that had been left after
8:03 the previous funeral, just godards were
8:06 still in place. The other two caskets
8:08 had been moved and the tomb had been
8:10 ransacked. The devastated family feared
8:12 the vault had been targeted by grave
8:14 robbers, so arranged to have the caskets
8:15 put neatly back into their original
8:19 position before laying Thomas' 240lb
8:22 casket alongside them. The huge marble
8:24 stone was again rolled back to seal the
8:27 vault. The next death was 11-year-old
8:29 Charles. Again, the vault was opened
8:31 only to find the chase coffins displaced
8:33 and tossed around. Although the seal of
8:36 the tomb had not been tampered with,
8:37 again, the coffins were returned to
8:39 their original position, and news
8:41 traveled fast, so the public started to
8:43 take an interest in the tombs with
8:45 reports of spooked horses and shrieks
8:47 being heard from within the vault.
8:50 Between 1816 and 1819, two more family
8:53 members were laid to rest, and each time
8:54 the original chase caskets were
8:57 rearranged when the tomb was opened. The
8:59 governor of Barbados had also been told
9:01 of the story and had the tomb inspected
9:04 and sealed with mortar. He also had the
9:06 floor of the tomb dusted with a fine
9:08 white sand to capture evidence of anyone
9:11 breaking in. After 8 months, he returned
9:13 and externally everything was in order.
9:14 But when the door was opened, the
9:16 caskets were again thrown around the
9:19 vault. This time, Mary Anne's coffin had
9:21 been thrown with such force that its
9:23 corner had broken off. This was the
9:25 final straw, and all of the bodies in
9:26 the vault were removed and buried
9:28 separately, finally allowing them to
9:31 rest in peace. As for the vault, well,
9:33 it has remained empty and open ever
9:36 since. As always with these handed down
9:38 stories, some versions differ slightly,
9:40 and there are some who think that it's
9:42 just an urban myth. However, there was
9:44 definitely a Chase family living in the
9:46 area at the time, and it seems that
9:48 whatever happened to them in life meant
9:50 they could not rest harmoniously in
9:53 death. The only one unaffected was the
9:55 unrelated Mrs. Godard, whose wooden
10:01 inch. Jeffrey
10:05 Daniels. In November 1997, a man calling
10:07 himself Jeffrey Daniels checked into the
10:09 Super 8 Motel in Aken County, South
10:11 Carolina. On the first night of his
10:14 stay, he ordered a pizza but failed to
10:15 answer his door when delivery was
10:18 attempted. Staff became concerned when
10:20 they spotted the do not disturb notice
10:22 pinned on his door that had the message,
10:23 "I'm not responsible for the
10:26 consequences handwritten on the back.
10:28 When they decided to enter the room, it
10:30 was unusually neat and tidy. A Super
10:32 Nintendo was on." A jacket was hanging
10:34 neatly on a coat rack and brand new
10:36 clothes were neatly folded in the
10:39 dresser. In the bathroom was toothpaste,
10:41 nail clippers, and cotton buds lined up
10:43 neatly on the vanity shelf. And on the
10:45 floor was the dead body of Jeffrey
10:47 Daniels. It was thought he had killed
10:49 himself sometime between the 10th and
10:52 the 13th of November, meaning he was
10:53 already dead when the pizza man knocked
10:55 his door. However, this was not a
10:58 straightforward suicide. Investigations
11:00 revealed many unanswered questions. The
11:03 biggest one, who was this man, as he was
11:06 certainly not Jeffrey Daniel.
11:08 Motel workers recalled that he had no
11:10 identification on him, telling them that
11:12 he wanted to leave all that behind and
11:15 had prepaid for his room with cash. It
11:16 was later discovered that he had used
11:18 the name Jeffrey Daniels during previous
11:21 weeks and had also given a fake social
11:23 security number and New York address
11:25 when he was hospitalized after a failed
11:27 suicide attempt in another
11:29 motel. The real Jeffrey Daniels did not
11:32 know this man and was alive and well.
11:34 The Jeffrey Daniels imposter was
11:36 described as 35 to 40 years old and
11:40 around 6'2, weighing 220 lb. He had
11:43 scars on his face and had longish brown
11:44 hair with brown
11:47 eyes. He was also a smoker and maybe had
11:49 stomach problems as indigestion tablets
11:51 were found in his room along with
11:53 prescription medication with the labels
11:55 peeled off the bottles supposedly to
11:57 hide his true identity. The coroner
11:59 noted he was a well-groomed, wellspoken
12:01 man and was obviously concerned about
12:03 his appearance. It was revealed that in
12:06 a previous suicide attempt, he built a
12:07 tent out of cellophane and tried to
12:09 suffocate himself as well as slashing
12:12 his wrists. The hospital he was sent to
12:14 later said he was unwilling to accept
12:17 help. The method of his successful
12:19 suicide was never made public, so we may
12:22 never know how exactly he died.
12:24 To date, this man is still unidentified,
12:26 and it makes you think, why did he not
12:28 want to be named or identified? When you
12:30 hear the heartfelt appeals from family
12:32 looking for missing loved ones, perhaps
12:34 this man could be one of them, as this
12:35 case has not had a huge amount of
12:38 publicity, and the identity of Jeffrey
12:40 Daniels and his cause of death remains [Music]

12:46 unsolved. Kenny V. This is a strange
12:49 one. 47year-old Kenny Vich was an
12:52 experienced hiker and his passion was
12:55 exploring the vast Nevada desert. He
12:56 described himself as a daredevil and
12:58 cowboy who enjoyed playing with
13:01 rattlesnakes and his pet tarantula and
13:02 his disappearance is one of the
13:05 strangest I've heard about. It starts
13:07 with a comment he left on a YouTube
13:10 video called son of an Area 51
13:12 technician. This ain't nothing. I'm a
13:14 long-distance hiker. One time during one
13:16 of my hikes out by Nellis Air Force
13:19 Base, I found a hidden cave. The
13:20 entrance to the cave was shaped like a
13:23 perfect capital M. I always enter every
13:25 cave I find. But as I began to enter
13:27 this particular cave, my whole body
13:29 began to vibrate. The closer I got to
13:31 the cave entrance, the worse the
13:34 vibrating became. Suddenly, I became
13:36 very scared and hightailed it out of
13:38 there. That was one of the strangest
13:41 things that ever happened to me. His
13:42 comment generated a lot of interest and
13:45 debate and some people suggested that he
13:48 provide proof of this cave. While that
13:50 is exactly what Kenny did, he ventured
13:52 out into the desert and recorded his
13:54 trip, although he was unable to locate
13:57 the mysterious M cave. Despite this, he
13:59 uploaded the video to his YouTube
14:01 channel. Again, this video generated a
14:03 lot of interest, and Kenny seemed
14:05 determined to make a third trip in
14:07 search of the cave. At the time, he
14:09 posted, "I will have my 9 millimeter
14:12 with me this time, just in case. It's a
14:15 10-hour hike, no trails, very dangerous
14:17 terrain." Despite pleas from people who
14:19 realized the potential danger Kenny was
14:21 putting himself into just to prove the
14:23 cave existed, he seemed determined to
14:26 find it and prove his claims. On
14:29 November the 10th, 2014, he headed out
14:31 alone to the unforgiving desert in
14:33 search of the elusive cave for the last
14:36 time. After he failed to come home, his
14:37 worried family and friends alerted the
14:39 authorities and a search party was sent
14:42 out. They found his phone near a disused
14:45 vertical mineshaft and it was assumed
14:47 Kenny had fallen to his death. However,
14:49 after an extensive search of the mine
14:52 and surrounding area, nothing was found.
14:53 The most likely explanation was that
14:55 Kenny met one of the many hazards
14:57 associated with the terrain, possibly
14:59 losing his footing somewhere, becoming
15:01 dehydrated, or even being attacked by a
15:03 wild animal.
15:04 As always, there are plenty of theories
15:07 about what happened to Kenny. One of
15:09 them is that he inevitably stumbled upon
15:11 something he shouldn't have, aka the
15:13 strange M cave. And as a result,
15:16 something happened to him. There's also
15:17 speculation that Kenny faked his own
15:19 death, as at the time of his
15:21 disappearance, his business venture was
15:23 failing. He was unemployed and was
15:25 spiraling into debt. But in another
15:27 twist, his girlfriend posted this
15:30 extraordinary comment on his MK video,
15:32 suggesting that he had committed
15:34 suicide, which many found very strange
15:36 and eerie. It's a long comment, so I'll
15:39 break it down. I am the girlfriend that
15:41 Kenny spoke of in the video. I want you
15:43 to know that I do not think Kenny had an
15:45 accident. I believe he committed
15:48 suicide. He battled depression for many
15:49 years and would not take medication or
15:52 see a doctor. He quit his job a little
15:55 more than a year before he disappeared.
15:57 His father committed suicide when Kenny
16:00 was in his early 20ies. He asked me what
16:01 I would think of him if he committed
16:04 suicide. He also said if he decided to
16:06 do it, no one will ever find me. It
16:08 would be easy to do something like this
16:10 in our desert with a number of natural
16:11 caves and
16:14 mines. They found his car in the area I
16:16 told them it would be. They did find a
16:18 cell phone by the minehaft in the video.
16:20 The mine shaft was only about a 4-hour
16:23 hike from his car. It is my feeling that
16:25 he left it behind so he could not be
16:27 tracked from the GPS in it. He also did
16:29 not take his video camera with him on
16:30 his solo
16:33 hike. As you can imagine, there are
16:34 those who believe he did not commit
16:36 suicide and that the M cave holds the
16:38 answers to what happened to Kenny. The
16:40 reason for this is the cave was
16:42 supposedly near the Nellis Air Force
16:43 base which has a long history of
16:46 conspiracy stories ranging from there
16:48 being an extensive network of tunnels
16:50 beneath it housing secret research
16:52 projects and classified military
16:54 secrets. Then there are others who
16:55 believe there is an underground base
16:58 protecting aliens who are being used for
17:00 experiments and some say the cave could
17:03 have been a portal to another dimension.
17:05 Another thought along these lines is
17:06 that the cave produced some strange
17:09 echoes and frequencies which can have a
17:11 profound effect on the human body. The
17:14 frequency of 110 hertz can be found at
17:16 certain depths and are thought to
17:18 influence human senses even if the
17:20 person is not aware of it. So it makes
17:22 you wonder if this is what Kenny
17:23 experienced the first time he discovered
17:25 the cave and the same thing drew him
17:28 back in with tragic consequences.
17:30 Whatever happened to Kenny, his
17:32 departure has left his family and
17:34 friends devastated. So, if anyone can
17:36 shed any light on his disappearance or
17:38 the mysterious M cave, then I am sure
17:40 they would appreciate any suggestions and
17:41 and
17:44 support. So, that's five creepy unsolved
17:46 mysteries. Thanks for watching and I'll
17:49 see you in the next one. [Music]
