0:31 people have at least one unnecessary
0:34 test and up to 40% of health spending is
0:37 wasted due to
0:39 inefficiency. Health care should not be
0:43 like this. Remember people live with
0:44 their condition
0:48 24/7 not only when they seek care.
0:50 That's why people centered care is so important.

0:54 People centered care means ensuring that
0:57 health services are tailored to people's
1:00 needs and are provided in partnership
1:02 with them rather than simply given to
1:05 them. It means care where people,
1:08 families, and communities are respected,
1:10 respected, informed,

1:16 engaged, supported, and treated with
1:19 dignity and compassion.
1:21 People centered care can have lasting
1:24 benefits. It improves the trust,
1:27 experience and outcomes people have from

2:01 care requires fundamental changes in our
2:02 approach to
2:05 healthcare. It means rethinking how
2:08 health services are organized, managed,
2:10 and delivered.
