0:03 Adrien Rogers was a motivator an
0:05 encourager and a leader of the faith he
0:07 was also passionate about presenting
0:10 scriptural application to Everyday Life
0:12 circumstances and you'll hear that in
0:16 today's message now let's join Adrien
0:19 Rogers now would you take your Bibles
0:21 and turn to Acts chapter 20 we're
0:23 continuing our Series in the book of
0:27 Acts entitled that oldtime
0:31 religion and so we're trying not
0:35 necessarily to modernize our church
0:38 actually we're trying to get our church
0:41 back to the first century because that
0:44 oldtime religion is also the new time
0:46 religion and that new time religion
0:49 therefore is the alltime religion and
0:51 that alltime religion ought to be the
0:53 anytime religion and the anytime
0:55 religion ought to be the every time
0:58 religion we want to find out really how
1:00 we to live and operate in these last
1:03 last days now we're going to read here
1:06 in Acts 20 beginning in verse
1:09 36 and the scene is a very poignant
1:12 scene the Apostle Paul is revisiting the
1:16 mission field and he comes to myus and
1:19 there he gathers with him the Ephesian
1:23 elders and he has a time walking with
1:26 him down memory lane they talk about the
1:29 good times that they had together how
1:30 God had blessed blessed and poured out his
1:31 his
1:35 blessings Paul rehearsed it all and then
1:37 here's what happened in verse 36 and
1:41 when he had thus spoken he kneeled down
1:43 and prayed with them all and they all
1:46 wept sore and fell on Paul's neck and
1:49 kissed him Sorrowing most of all for The
1:51 Words which he spake that they should
1:53 see his face no more and they
1:57 accompanied him to the ship now use your
2:00 imagination I mean dear friend they were
2:03 one in the bonds of Love they had been
2:05 through so many prayer meetings
2:07 Evangelistic Crusades together they'd
2:10 seen so many victories in Jesus their
2:12 hearts were so melted together and now
2:13 they're having a prayer meeting they're
2:16 all on their knees and God moves into
2:18 that prayer meeting and there's such a
2:21 sweet spirit and then as they get to
2:23 praying they realize this is the last
2:25 prayer meeting on Earth they'll ever
2:27 have with Paul the Apostle and they
2:29 began to weep and they're not just a few te
2:30 te
2:32 they are convulsing the Bible says they
2:36 wept sore and then they began to hug O
2:37 Paul's neck the Bible says they just
2:39 fell on his neck and they're weeping and
2:42 squeezing him and just hugging him
2:43 because they know never again on this
2:45 Earth will they see Paul and then they
2:48 walk down to the warf where the ship is
2:51 there and Paul gets on that ship and it
2:52 as it begins to sail they're just
2:55 standing there just boohoo and just just
2:58 weeping because Paul is leaving their
3:00 dear dear friend
3:05 and he's going to be sorely missed now
3:06 question for
3:09 you when you're gone are you going to be
3:13 missed I mean other than by your family
3:15 are you going to be
3:17 missed will it make any
3:21 difference by the way you are
3:24 going you are
3:27 going I mean you may move out of this
3:30 city but you're going either by Rapture
3:33 or you're going by death but we're all
3:36 going we're all going and the question
3:40 is when you go what difference will it
3:43 make is your life going to have any kind
3:45 of an
3:47 impact I heard of a man who had surgery
3:50 and he woke up in the recovery room and
3:52 all of the windows were covered with
3:55 curtains the blinds were drawn he called
3:57 the nurse he said nurse open the window
3:59 I want to see outside who closed the
4:02 lines anyway she said just calm down she
4:04 said I close them said there's a big
4:07 fire across the street and I didn't want
4:09 you to wake up and think the operation
4:18 success some of
4:20 us are going to wake up and find out
4:24 that our entire life was not a
4:27 success we wasted our
4:29 life we're going to go out into to
4:32 Eternity with a wasted life and by the
4:35 way when you go you're going to leave
4:38 behind you all that you
4:40 have and you're going to take with you
4:46 are and I wonder really what you will
4:48 take with you you know the world when
4:50 the world measures a man the world
4:51 measures a man by
4:53 brains or by
5:00 bucks how do you measure a man I mean
5:01 what really counts I I was on an
5:04 airplane I was reading an article about
5:06 the Guinness World Book of Records what
5:09 people do to make an impact on society
5:11 and I read about one man over in France
5:13 his name is Michael
5:15 latio you know what his claim to fame is eating
5:16 eating
5:20 glass and eating metal he grinds it up
5:23 and eats it mixes it in with his
5:26 sweeties or whatever he
5:29 eats and that's what he eats and since uh
5:46 true he ate a a a a supermarket
5:56 days he ate six
6:03 a Cessna light
6:11 airplane now can you imagine this fellow
6:13 reporting into
6:16 Jesus my son what did you do when you
6:17 were down there on
6:21 Earth Lord I ate an
6:32 what really
6:36 matters how do you measure a
6:40 life how do you measure a
6:42 man well if you will look back in this
6:45 20th chapter of the book of Acts you're
6:47 going to find three things about the
6:49 Apostle Paul that I think are the
6:52 measure of the man how do you measure a
6:57 man well first of all you measure him by
6:59 the manner of his life begin with with
7:01 me in verse
7:04 17 and from myus he sent to Ephesus and
7:07 called the Elders of the church and when
7:10 they were come to him he said unto them
7:12 ye know from the first day that I came
7:17 into Asia after what
7:21 Manner I have been with you in all
7:23 seasons serving the Lord with all
7:25 humility of
7:28 mind and with many tears and temptations
7:31 which befell me by the lying in weight
7:34 of the Jews now what was the manner of
7:36 his life well first of all his life was
7:39 a life of humility look in verse 19
7:42 serving the Lord with all
7:44 humility I thought about this as I
7:46 prepared this message and I'm prepared
7:48 to say and I believe it with all of my
7:52 heart that nobody has a life worth
7:55 living nobody has a life that can be
7:58 called a great life there is no true
8:00 greatness without truth true
8:04 humility without true humility serving
8:07 the lord he says with all humility and
8:09 what is humility humility is not putting
8:12 yourself down humility is not saying
8:14 that you are no good because that is not
8:16 true about you
8:19 friend as Chris said saying Jesus Paid
8:21 too great a price for you to say that
8:25 you're no good I'll tell you who you are
8:27 friend you're a child of God if you're
8:29 saved I'll tell you who you are you're a
8:33 prince and a king he hath made us a
8:37 kingdom of priest you're a holy
8:39 priest I'll tell you who you are if you're
8:40 you're
8:43 saved Jesus is not ashamed to call you
8:46 his brother so you're next Ain to the
8:49 Holy Trinity don't get the idea that
8:51 humility is not loving yourself for the
8:53 Bible says we're to love others as we
8:55 love ourselves and if you don't love you
8:56 I'm afraid of
8:58 you because you don't know how to love me
9:00 me
9:02 we're to love others as we love
9:04 ourselves what is humility it's not
9:06 degrading yourself it's not putting
9:09 yourself down let me tell you what
9:12 humility is humility is that honest
9:14 estimation of yourself that says about
9:17 you what God says about you and it
9:21 results primarily in serving notice in
9:23 that verse he says serving the Lord with
9:25 all humility look at the word serving
9:28 the word serving is the verb form of the
9:32 noun Doos which means
9:34 bondslave do you know what the mark of
9:36 humility is your
9:38 service serving
9:42 others a humble person is a person who
9:46 serves other people serving the Lord
9:49 with all humility when God measures a
9:51 man's life he does not measure the man's
9:54 life by how many servants the man has
9:56 but by how many men the man
10:00 serves serving the lord
10:01 with all
10:04 humility now folks there are a lot of
10:06 you whose life is going to amount to a
10:08 little more than a zero with the edges
10:10 trimmed off and I'll tell you why you've
10:13 never learned to
10:15 serve you come to church on Sunday
10:17 morning you sit sour and soak but you don't
10:18 don't
10:20 serve you need to find a place of
10:22 service in this church and in this
10:24 community and in your home and you need
10:26 to say Lord God make me a servant
10:27 Because unless you're a servant you're
10:29 not going to be truly missed when you're
10:32 gone now listen Not only was there a
10:35 life of humility but there was also a
10:38 Life Of Heartache because he says in
10:40 verse 19 serving the Lord with all
10:43 humility and tears the Apostle Paul had
10:46 a broken heart the Apostle Paul was a
10:48 compassionate man the Apostle Paul knew
10:51 how to weep he knew how to enter into
10:53 the sorrows and the hurts of other
10:56 people that's the way to be missed you
10:58 live for self and self alone and you try
11:01 to isolate yourself from the the cares
11:04 and the toils and the problems of this
11:07 world you're not going to be missed but
11:09 you show me a person who knows how to
11:11 sympathize a person who knows how to
11:13 empathize a person who has the
11:16 compassion of the Lord Jesus Christ in
11:18 his heart and in his life I want to ask
11:19 you a
11:21 question do the things that break the
11:23 Heart of Jesus Break Your
11:25 Heart do you know how to
11:28 weep when's the last time you shed a
11:30 tear over some soul that was mortgaged
11:33 to the devil now when you read about the
11:34 ministry of Paul you don't read about him
11:35 him
11:38 weeping the only way you know about it
11:40 is he told you here I believe most of
11:43 the time he wept in private I can say
11:46 for my own life I I shed far more tears
11:50 in my study than I do in my pull pit but
11:53 I'm telling you dear friend that Jesus
11:55 was a man of tears and Paul was a man of
11:57 tears and Jeremiah was a man of tears
11:59 and we ought to be people of Tears is
12:02 the Apostle Paul said I serve the Lord
12:04 with humility I serve the Lord with
12:06 heartache and then he said I serve the
12:08 Lord with hardships he speaks there in
12:11 verse 19 of the many trials uh that
12:14 befell me King James uses the word
12:15 Temptations but it literally means
12:17 trials it literally means that there
12:20 were people who disliked him there were
12:22 people who opposed him there were people
12:25 who literally bodily physically harmed
12:28 him because of the stand that he took
12:31 for the Lord Jesus Jesus Christ there is
12:34 no way no way that you can have a life
12:36 that will count and make an impression
12:38 on this world without making some
12:42 enemies no way and dear friend unless
12:44 you are willing for those three things
12:46 to be in your life humility heartache and
12:48 and
12:49 hardship you're not going to have the
12:51 kind of life that Paul
12:53 had and it's not going to be the kind of
12:55 a life that counts well you say I don't
12:56 want that kind of life well maybe you
12:58 don't maybe you just want to be all
13:00 wrapped up in your little self but I'm
13:01 going to tell you dear friend when
13:03 you're gone it's not going to make much
13:06 difference nobody in this world would
13:08 say that's the way to have a great life
13:10 I don't believe that the Hollywood muls
13:12 would say that's the way to have a great
13:15 life humility heartache and hardship
13:17 nobody wants that do they no they think
13:19 the great life is something else but
13:21 dear friend I want to tell you that is a
13:23 great life that is a that is the manner
13:25 of his life Paul said you know the
13:28 manner of my life that was the measure
13:29 of his life
13:32 life now let me say Not only was his
13:36 life measured by the manner of it but
13:39 also his life was measured by the
13:42 message of it because you
13:46 see not only do we live a certain way
13:49 but we say a certain thing that is we're
13:53 to leave behind us a message every one
13:55 of us will be known for something when we're
13:56 we're
14:00 gone they will think about us
14:01 you know what I want them to think about
14:04 when they think about
14:07 me the gospel of
14:10 Christ I want them to say that man's
14:13 life was
14:16 centered in the only message that really
14:18 matters now notice the Apostle Paul Paul
14:21 says in verse 20 he says and how I kept
14:23 back nothing that was profitable unto
14:25 you but have showed you and taught you
14:28 publicly and from house to house that is
14:32 in in every place testifying both to the
14:36 Jews and also to the Greeks every person
14:40 repentance toward God and Faith toward
14:42 our Lord Jesus Christ that was the
14:51 capsulatus toward God and Faith toward
14:54 our Lord Jesus Christ Paul was known
14:56 primarily as a gospel preacher it was a
14:58 narrow message he didn't stutter he
15:00 didn't stammer he didn't equivocate he
15:02 kept on preaching that message that was
15:04 the content of it I want you to notice
15:07 the conviction of it notice in verse 22
15:09 and now behold I go Bound in the spirit
15:11 unto Jerusalem not knowing the things
15:13 that shall befall me there except that
15:16 the holy ghost witnesseth that in every
15:18 witnesseth in every city saying that
15:21 bonds and afflictions abide me Paul says
15:24 I'm going back to Jerusalem the spirit
15:27 of God wants me to go I'm Bound in the
15:29 spirit that is I know it's God will for
15:32 me to go and I know when I get there I'm
15:35 going to heartache and trouble bonds and
15:37 afflictions abide me but now watch verse
15:42 24 look but none of these things move me
15:44 that is I don't get stampeded by any of
15:47 these things neither count I my life
15:50 dear unto myself so that I might finish
15:53 my course with joy and the ministry
15:55 which I have received of the Lord Jesus
15:57 Christ to testify the gospel of the
16:00 grace of God you want a life that
16:02 counts dear friend you're going to have
16:04 to have a message that has the right
16:06 content and the right
16:09 conviction Paul said I'm Bound in the
16:12 spirit he said none of these things move
16:14 me you're not going to stop
16:20 me Paul had a bulog grip on certain
16:22 things are you that way do you know
16:25 what's wrong with the average
16:28 Baptist he has opinions and not convictions
16:30 convictions
16:33 amen Paul had convictions he said I'm
16:36 Bound in the spirit I'm going to finish
16:40 my course with joy I will do it now he
16:42 said I know what I'm going to it
16:45 eventually led to his
16:49 death but Paul would rather die with a
16:52 conviction than live with a
16:55 compromise how about you most of us had
16:57 far rather live with a
17:00 compromise than to die with a conviction
17:02 but you can understand why Paul was the
17:06 man that he was and how this shames me
17:08 as I think of the content of his message
17:10 as I think of the conviction of his
17:13 message but then I think of the
17:16 confidence of his message Paul died
17:19 confidently notice notice what he says
17:22 here in verse 25 and now behold I know
17:24 that ye all among whom I have gone
17:26 preaching the kingdom of God shall see
17:29 my face no more wherefore I take you to
17:33 record this day that I am pure from the
17:37 blood of all men for I have not shun to
17:40 declare unto you all the counsel of God
17:43 praise God Paul was confident Paul said
17:45 you're not going to see me
17:49 anymore I'm going on to heaven but said
17:51 I'm going to tell you one thing I am
17:53 pure from the blood of all men what did
17:54 he mean by that I'm pure from the blood
17:58 of all men well you know Ezekiel said
18:00 that we're like Watchman upon a wall and
18:03 if we see the enemy coming and we do not
18:05 warn the people inside the city about
18:07 the enemy they're going to
18:09 die but their blood will be required at our
18:10 our
18:12 hands you see he's talking here about
18:14 Soul winning if we don't tell our
18:16 friends our neighbors our brothers our
18:17 sisters about the Lord Jesus Christ they
18:19 die and go to hell their blood's on our
18:21 hands let me illustrate suppose your
18:24 child got sick with a a nameless disease
18:27 that disease was gnawing await his life
18:28 and you knew that your child was going
18:30 to die Di and then suppose you met a
18:32 doctor and that doctor prescribed a
18:33 particular medicine for your child and
18:36 your child radically dramatically got
18:39 well and then suppose an epidemic of
18:42 that same disease broke out in your city
18:45 and you knew the name of that doctor and
18:46 you knew that that doctor could
18:47 prescribe the medicine that would save
18:49 the lives of those
18:51 children and you did nothing to tell
18:53 anyone and those children died would not
18:56 their blood be on your hands now friend
18:58 listen if we know the only message that
19:01 this world needs and we don't tell it to
19:03 me we are guilty of high treason against
19:05 Heaven's King and we're going to meet
19:07 the Lord with bloody hands the Apostle
19:09 Paul knew that before long he was going
19:11 to have to report to the Lord and he
19:14 said I am pure I am free from the blood
19:16 of all men I am not going to face my
19:19 Lord with bloody hands now listen folks
19:24 listen some of you some of us are going
19:28 to face the Lord with blood on our hands
19:29 Souls that that we should have witnessed
19:32 to that have died and gone to hell and
19:35 it's our fault it's our fault Paul had a
19:37 confidence about his message he said I
19:39 have not shunn to declare unto you the
19:42 whole counsel of God I'm free from the
19:45 blood of all men I wonder how many can
19:48 say that I see the Apostle Paul he's in
19:50 his cell the time for his execution has
19:53 come a Burly guard comes to the cell
19:55 door Paul
19:59 come where are we going where going to
20:01 The Chopping Block
20:04 Paul we're going to execute you
20:07 Paul he comes with a chain to bind Paul
20:08 Paul says you don't need to put that
20:12 chain on me I can walk it's all right
20:16 don't worry let's go and so the guard
20:17 takes Paul and they begin to walk down
20:20 toward the Tyber River there to the
20:22 execution place that river that will
20:24 soon drink the blood of the great
20:26 Apostle there he goes the greatest
20:29 Christian who ever lived can you see him
20:32 a little old humpback Jew hobbling along
20:37 his body bent broken scarred from the
20:40 whippings the stonings the imprisonments
20:42 being pickled in the Mediterranean Sea
20:45 little grayhead squinny eyes he's
20:49 walking along the guard says do I hear
20:52 music are you are you humming he said oh
20:54 yeah I didn't know you were listening to
20:56 me just a little song that we love to
20:58 sing it will be worth it all when we
21:00 seees Jesus guard says you're you're a
21:03 strange one and and and and they bring
21:05 him down there and and the Executioner
21:08 says well tie him to The Chopping Block
21:10 he says you don't need to tie me it's
21:12 all right and he kneels down and puts
21:14 his neck on The Chopping
21:17 Block they say aren't you afraid Paul oh
21:19 he said I've done this before you can't
21:22 oh well he says I Die daily and so they
21:25 they put his head on The Chopping Block
21:29 any last words Paul oh yes I'm glad you
21:33 asked here are my last words Jesus
21:38 Christ is Lord amen the axe
21:41 Falls and his head rolls over into the
21:45 basket the next scene is heaven he's
21:47 looking into the face of
21:50 Jesus and he says Lord
21:52 Jesus you know I wasn't
21:55 strong I was
21:58 ugly I didn't have a good voice but
22:00 but
22:07 faith I finished my
22:10 course Lord I fought a good
22:14 fight Lord these hands are pure from the
22:17 blood of all men how'd you like to meet
22:20 the Lord that way many of us are going
22:22 to meet the Lord with bloody hands and I
22:25 believe the Lord Jesus would say to him
22:27 well done thou good and faithful servant
22:30 enter thou into to the joy of thy Lord
22:33 thank you Paul for being true to me my
22:35 friend that's the measure of a life
22:38 listen not only the manner of the life
22:41 but the message of the life I want to
22:42 mention a third thing I believe that
22:45 made them miss the Apostle Paul so much
22:47 here's the way you measure a man by the
22:51 manner of his life you measure a man by
22:52 the message of his
22:57 life and then you measure a man by the
22:59 motto of his
23:03 life Every Man Has a motto for his
23:06 life maybe he's put it into words maybe
23:09 he hasn't but there's something that
23:11 impels him there's something that
23:12 motivates him there's something that
23:14 drives him there's something that
23:17 constrains him here was Paul's
23:18 constraint look if you will beginning in verse
23:19 verse
23:23 33 I have coveted no man's silver our
23:26 gold are apparel yay ye yourselves know
23:28 that these hands have ministered un my
23:30 necessities and to them that were with
23:33 me and I have showed you all things how
23:37 that so laboring ye ought to support the
23:40 weak and to remember the words of the
23:43 Lord Jesus how he
23:46 said it is more
23:49 blessed to
23:52 give than to receive and folks if that's
23:54 not yet underlined in your Bible please
23:56 underline it remembering the words of
23:59 the Lord Jesus how he said said it is
24:01 more blessed to
24:05 give than receive this was the motto of
24:09 Paul's life remembering the words of
24:12 Jesus it is more blessed to
24:14 give than to
24:17 receive the Apostle Paul was a great man
24:19 because he spent life not primarily as a
24:21 receiver but as a
24:24 giver therefore his life was
24:27 blessed life is divided the people in
24:29 life are divided into two
24:39 givers the takers eat better the givers sleep
24:40 sleep
24:43 better listen de friend he is more
24:47 blessed more blessed to
24:49 give than to
24:56 die all you're going to take with
24:59 you is what you've given away
25:04 a friend what you spent is gone
25:12 spend will be left for
25:20 forever it is more blessed to give than
25:22 receive and I want you to see what that
25:24 motto did for him I want you to see what
25:27 that that philosophy did to him number
25:29 one it freed him from covetousness look
25:32 if you will in verse 33 I have coveted
25:36 no man's silver or gold or apparel one
25:38 of the Ten Commandments is Thou shalt not
25:45 covet the Bible says that covetousness is
25:50 idolatry what is wrong with paramutual
25:52 gambling you were given a brochure when
25:55 you came in talking about wagering
25:59 gambling horse racing we're going to
26:02 be this month in an horrendous battle
26:05 here in our city what is wrong with
26:09 gambling gambling is built primarily
26:11 upon the principle of covetousness which
26:14 is wanting what somebody else has
26:16 getting that into your
26:19 possession let me tell you why gambling
26:21 is wrong I want to put it in a simple
26:24 sentence I want you to get it get it big
26:27 get it plain get it straight why is
26:30 gambling wrong gambling is wrong because
26:32 it is built on this
26:35 principle gambling is
26:38 profit and
26:41 pleasure at the cost of someone else's
26:44 loss and
26:48 pain did you understand that gambling is
26:51 profit and pleasure at the cost of
26:55 somebody else's loss and pain remember
26:57 this if you don't remember anything else
26:59 no one can can win at gambling without
27:01 someone else
27:03 losing did you understand that it's so
27:06 simple people say what's wrong with it
27:09 you are trying to get what belongs to
27:11 somebody else without a fair exchange
27:14 that's what's wrong it is based on
27:16 covetousness when you win in gambling
27:18 you lower yourself and you victimize your
27:20 your
27:24 neighbor Paul said I remember the words
27:26 of the Lord Jesus it's more blessed to
27:29 give than receive
27:31 therefore I've coveted nothing that
27:32 belongs to someone else it freed him from
27:33 from
27:35 covetousness but not only did it free
27:38 him from covetousness it freed him from
27:41 idleness look if you will in verse 34 Ye
27:43 Ye yourselves know that these hands he
27:46 held up his hands have ministered unto
27:49 my Necessities that is I work for my
27:52 needs and to them that were with me and
27:55 I have showed you all things how that so
27:59 laboring you ought to support the weak
28:01 now what does Paul say Paul said there
28:04 are people who are weak there are people
28:06 who can't work there are people have
28:11 needs and Paul said I worked so that I
28:13 might help the
28:16 needy now the Bible
28:18 says that if a man won't work neither
28:20 should he eat but there's some people
28:21 who can't
28:25 work and those of us who can work need to
28:26 to
28:29 work to help those who are weak let me
28:31 tell you something else about paramutual
28:33 gambling what's so wrong with
28:37 it it victimizes those who can least
28:40 afford to be victimized they say well
28:42 it's a form of voluntary tax it's a
28:45 regressive tax it is the poor it is the
28:48 needy who consistently spend the greater
28:50 part of their
28:58 gambling it it it produces no wealth it
29:00 is only a transfer of wealth primarily
29:02 from the hands of the poor and the needy
29:05 into the hands of the more wealthy there
29:07 are some people who will make money on paramutual
29:09 paramutual
29:12 gambling but not
29:14 many and not the
29:21 needy and the spirit of Jesus is it's
29:24 more blessed to give than to
29:26 receive if you want to help needy people
29:28 don't build a racetrack give them
29:32 something because in the name of Jesus
29:37 give and help but don't
29:40 hurt don't build a system based on Greed
29:43 what was the motto of Paul's
29:45 life more blessed to give than receive
29:47 it saved him from
29:50 covetousness it saved him from idleness
29:52 and friend it saved him from
29:56 selfishness nobody nobody has a great
30:01 life that lives a selfish life nobody
30:03 the Apostle Paul lived a life of giving
30:07 not taking of helping not hurting of
30:10 loving and lifting and
30:14 caring in World War II in a Polish
30:18 Village the Nazis came into that Village
30:19 accused all of the Jews in that Village
30:22 of crimes against the state brought them
30:25 out of their houses brought them out to
30:26 a particular
30:29 field and made them dig a
30:32 ditch that would later become their
30:34 grave then they stripped them of all of their
30:35 their
30:38 clothing they lined those polish Jews up
30:41 against a wall they got their machine
30:46 guns and began to mow them down just
30:47 just bullet after bullet flying into
30:50 that quivering flesh and the people fell
30:53 like cordwood head over uh heels into the
30:54 the
30:57 grave a little 10-year-old boy naked was
30:59 standing there with his mother and his
31:01 daddy the bullets just ripped their
31:04 bodies open and the blood splattered
31:06 everywhere and as they fell this little
31:08 boy fell also but he was not touched by
31:12 one bullet he fell in the grave and lay
31:15 still they assumed he was dead because
31:16 he was splattered with
31:20 blood and they began to push the dirt
31:22 over these people and buried that little
31:25 10-year-old boy
31:28 alive his face was in such a position
31:30 that he caught a pocket of
31:33 air and there was uh the ground was not
31:35 packed that
31:38 hard and he could actually breathe under the
31:39 the
31:42 ground lying on the mutilated bodies of
31:43 his loved
31:46 ones after several
31:49 hours it was now dark he began to dig
31:51 out of his own
31:54 grave and clawed and dug his way to the
31:57 surface actually dug his way out of his grave
31:58 grave
31:59 he was
32:02 naked clotted with blood clotted with
32:05 dirt he went to the house of a of a
32:07 neighbor and knocked on the door and
32:09 when the woman came she saw that little
32:16 caked with the remains of his
32:19 grave she recognized him as one of the Jewish
32:20 Jewish
32:23 boys and knew that he'd been Marked for
32:28 Death she screamed at him go away
32:31 and slammed the door in his
32:34 face the little boy dragged himself to
32:36 another door and knocked on the door and
32:37 beg for
32:39 help and the same thing happened the
32:42 woman in Terror said
32:54 away he went to one third
32:57 door knocked on the door and when the
32:59 woman open the door she looked at him
33:01 and her face
33:04 froze but before she could say anything
33:05 he said to
33:09 her don't you recognize [Music]
33:11 [Music]
33:13 me I am the
33:23 love she broke and wept and said come
33:28 in come in at the risk of her own life
33:31 she sheltered that 10-year-old
33:34 Child Jesus
33:38 said in as much as you have done it unto
33:41 the least of one of these my brethren
33:44 you've done it unto
33:48 me there's no easy way to have a great
33:50 life I'm telling you dear friend it is
33:52 more blessed to give than it is to
33:54 receive and there some of us when we're
33:56 gone we're not going to be missed but
33:57 there others when we're gone they're
33:59 going to weep sorely those who know the
34:02 things that count and primarily you
34:04 measure man's
34:07 life you measure the man by the manner
34:10 of his life the message of his life the
34:13 motto of his life is more blessed to
34:15 give than to receive and I want to
34:18 remind you one more time my friend when you
34:20 you
34:22 die you're going to leave behind all
34:23 that you
34:26 have and you're going to take with you
34:36 pray
34:38 father as I look at the life of the Apostle
34:40 Apostle
34:43 Paul and I realize Lord truly it was a
34:45 life that has impacted
34:47 eternity I pray God that you'd help me
34:49 in some
34:53 measure to live the same kind of a
34:57 life help us Lord and Lord I pray now
