1:32 went on to reduce our material
1:34 thickness. Uh we're always looking at
1:36 market inside, when's a good time to
1:38 buy, when's a good time to hold off. A
1:40 few years ago, the steel warehouse
1:43 provided in-house material experts who
1:45 were able to help us reduce our
1:47 commercial quality steel that we were
1:48 using on our bodies, which helped us in
1:51 reducing material thicknesses and drive
1:53 meaningful cost savings. the cleanliness
1:55 of the welds and the welds being able to
1:57 perform throughout the operations,
1:59 resistance welding as well as MIG
2:02 welding and and the pickled process uh
2:04 certainly helps out with dealing with
2:06 all those variables. We're able to work
2:08 with Quinn on a batch processing where
2:10 it shortened our lead time even further.
2:12 We were looking at four-week lead time.
2:14 Now we looked at almost like a two week
2:16 lead time on especially pickle dry stuff
2:18 which is hard to find around and working
2:20 with them knowing their processes and
2:22 their phenomenal abilities uh they have
2:24 in house we were able to reduce our lead time.

2:32 understand what they're buying and the
2:33 capabilities of what they're buying and
2:36 the restraints um and can help with
2:37 design and things like that.
2:39 >> Steel warehouse is our in-house expert
2:42 on materials. So whenever we have R&D
2:44 efforts, we always rely on them. One of
2:46 our first processes down the line is
2:49 about rolling and uh steel warehouse
2:52 provides this amazing material that is
2:54 consistent in the yield strength. So uh
2:57 it helps us have a perfect roll part uh
2:59 and don't have to have a lot of change
3:00 over in our processes.
3:02 >> The surface of our material is is very
3:04 important due to uh the welding that we
3:07 do on it and uh the cleanliness of the
3:10 welds. it uh minimizes the defects that
3:12 we have in welding. The pickled material
3:15 certainly helps uh and along with the uh
3:17 the chemical prep that we do to it and
3:19 the material that we purchase from steel
3:21 warehouse makes for a superior product.
3:24 Not only the pickled dry material but uh
3:26 steel warehouse also provides us pickled
3:29 oil which is really good quality. We
3:31 have uh multiple processes through the
3:34 line uh where the pickled oil goes
3:36 through our stamping process and later
3:38 on to our cobalt welding stations. So
3:41 the consistency of the part needs to be
3:44 amazing and it is uh and steel warehouse
3:46 gives us really good quality material in
3:49 that aspect. If the material is not
3:51 pickled correctly, we would see
3:54 blemishes in our paint process or the
3:56 material would start rusting. So either
3:58 we won't have the material just in time
4:00 or we would not have a great product at
4:01 the end.
