0:04 Hello and congratulations on completing
0:08 the 5day AI agents intensive course with
0:11 Google. On the fifth day, we announced
0:13 the capstone project where you'll have a
0:15 chance to apply everything you've
0:17 learned by building your own AI agent.
0:19 And by participating in this capstone
0:22 project, you will earn a badge as well
0:25 as a certificate of completion. Once
0:29 you're inside of the competition, this
0:30 is what you'll see for the agents
0:32 intensive capstone project. You'll see
0:35 there's an overview page, writeup
0:36 section, which we're going to talk about
0:40 in detail, and some other tabs.
0:44 So, this overview page is your guide.
0:45 everything you need to know in order to
0:47 be successful with this capstone
0:49 project, including the m the the
0:51 timeline, the description of the highle
0:53 work that you're going to tackle, prizes,
0:55 prizes,
0:57 features to include in your submission,
0:59 and the evaluation process.
1:02 This video focuses on two concepts. The
1:04 concept of a team and the concept of
1:06 writeup. So, as you start working on
1:08 your project, you will make a decision
1:10 about whether you're going to work by
1:11 yourself or you're going to work in a
1:13 team. So, if I jump over to the team
1:16 tab, you can see that right now the team
1:19 is just me. You can add three more folks
1:22 to a team. Um, anyone that you want to
1:24 add to your team, they will need to have
1:26 joined the competition. So, they'll also
1:28 have to receive an invite to join. So,
1:32 if I try to add say Polong Lynn cuz he
1:34 is awesome. Well, I can't add him yet.
1:36 He hasn't joined the competition. But
1:38 once he has, I'm going to go and try to
1:42 grab him and get him on my team. So um
1:44 very important point you as an
1:46 individual can only participate and
1:49 submit on one team. You can't work on
1:53 multiple teams. So um in this case maybe
1:55 it's just going to be me. I am the team
1:56 leader. I'm not going to invite anyone
2:01 else. So I'm a team of one. Um so now
2:03 what I want to do is then work on my
2:05 writeup. This is what you'll actually
2:09 submit for the capstone project. So if I
2:11 go into writeups,
2:13 you can see in work I have something
2:16 that's already in progress in progress
2:18 which is called agent shutton which is a
2:20 sample submission that I created. So for
2:22 you what you're going to do is you're
2:24 going to say new writeup
2:27 and then you're going to give it a title
2:35 agent whatever helps denote what this
2:38 project is about. And then you'll add a
2:41 subtitle up to 140 characters. And
2:43 you'll notice as I'm working through
2:45 each one of these sections, the
2:48 submission checklist is going from X's
2:52 and order to to check marks.
2:54 Super important. I could go ahead and
2:57 save this draft, but I cannot submit
3:02 this write up until I have all of these
3:05 um X's turned into check marks. So, I
3:07 have my title,
3:10 the subtitle, there's a thumbnail image
3:14 that helps um provide some graphic
3:16 information to your project.
3:19 You also submit select a track that
3:23 you're going to um work in. So, for my
3:25 particular submission, the sample
3:26 submission that I'm going to walk
3:31 through, I'm working on concier agents.
3:32 And then you'll see there's a media
3:35 gallery, project description, and some
3:38 attachments. So I can go and hit save
3:40 draft, but I can't submit right now,
3:41 right? So I'm just going to go ahead and
3:44 save my draft. That's what it looks like.
3:45 like.
3:47 Let's go and look at one that's nearly
3:51 completed. So here's my agent shutton
3:54 sample submission.
3:56 Um, this is what it looks like in
3:59 preview mode. If I edit it, here's its title.
4:01 title.
4:04 the subtitle. And then I've also added
4:08 this card and thumbnail image. I used um
4:10 Nano Banana to create this for me. You
4:12 use Gemini, whatever you want to use um
4:16 to create your graphics. Um I've also
4:18 added a couple other items to my media
4:20 gallery. So this is an architecture
4:23 diagram. Um your thumbnail also shows up
4:25 in here. And I also added a video that
4:27 helps explain what this project is about.
4:29 about.
4:31 You can see off to the side I've check check
4:33 check
4:36 on the submission track um I have
4:39 selected contair agents under project description
4:40 description
4:43 you have uh approximately 2,000 words to
4:46 describe your project this is all in
4:49 markdown um so you can preview I
4:50 encourage you to use some type of
4:53 markdown editor VS Code or whatever um
4:56 in order to do your work there and just
4:59 copy and paste it over preview and Um,
5:01 Um,
5:02 the details of what you need to put in
5:05 this project description are all
5:10 outlined in the overview page here.
5:12 So, I have title, subtitle, card,
5:14 submission, but you see down here
5:17 project links, which is an X. So, if I
5:19 come down,
5:21 you can add two types of project links.
5:24 you can add um notebook files uh that
5:26 you worked on inside of the notebook
5:29 environment um or and which is what we
5:32 uh strongly suggest is add a link to a
5:36 publicly accessible git repo. So here
5:37 I'm going to go and jump over to the
5:41 repo that I built for my project
5:43 and go ahead and paste this in and then say
5:45 say
5:49 shutton repo
5:53 and hit insert link. And then boom, all
5:55 six of these are checked. Title,
5:56 subtitle, card, submission tracks,
5:59 project description, links. I'm ready to
6:02 go. Now,
6:04 you can submit as many times as you want
6:09 up until the deadline on December 1st.
6:11 So, I go ahead and hit submit.
6:13 This is what it looks like, right? I can
6:15 see everything.
6:17 Now, if I want to come back, I can come
6:19 back and say, "Hey, I want to go ahead
6:22 and retract the submission." Um, retract
6:25 it, keep working on it, and then go
6:28 ahead and hit submit again.
6:31 So, that's what you need to do. Um, good
6:33 luck. If you have any questions, please
6:35 post them to the Discord. Be happy to help.
