0:21 matters. But I only figured this out
0:24 after spending years in tech and AI as a
0:26 CEO, board member, and investor, [music]
0:29 where I watched elite teams use AI in
0:32 ways most people never see. So today,
0:35 I'm sharing those five strategies to use
0:38 chat PT so well, it feels illegal. The
0:41 first strategy is called the clone. When
0:45 I was a kid, my grandpa had [music] late
0:48 stage Alzheimer's. Every few minutes he
0:50 would look at my grandmother, the woman
0:52 he had been married for over 60 years,
0:54 and he would ask, "Who are [music] you?"
0:56 And then he would go ahead and tell me a
0:58 story, forgetting that he just told
1:01 [music] me the exact same story 5
1:03 minutes ago. His brain didn't have
1:07 memory of his last 5 minutes. Chat GPT
1:09 suffers from something very similar.
1:12 Every time you open a new chat session,
1:15 you're starting from zero context. But
1:18 there is a way to give chat GPT an
1:21 almost telepathic ability. It can keep
1:24 the memory and context for you alive
1:26 without you explaining every single
1:29 time. For that, I apply a three-step
1:34 framework called ESP. E is extract. Open
1:37 the voice mode in Chad GPD and say,
1:40 "Listen, you're my chief of staff.
1:42 Interview me for 20 minutes, 30 minutes.
1:45 my background, my tone, my strategy, my
1:49 blind spots. Then talk a while. Be
1:53 messy. Don't self-edit. This step is
1:57 about raw capture only. S is synthesize.
1:59 Now, this is where you turn the raw data
2:02 into an operating system. So, upload the
2:05 transcript of whatever you said to Chat
2:08 GPT and ask Chat GPT to organize it into
2:10 a summary on who you are and how you
2:13 think. Now go to settings, custom
2:15 instructions, and paste your summary. By
2:17 the way, this is also the place where
2:20 you tell Chat GPT exactly how you want
2:23 it to behave. Always format data as
2:26 tables. Don't send me walls of text. But
2:30 now Chat GPT knows who you are, how you
2:32 want your responses shaped, and what to
2:36 avoid by default. And here's where it
2:38 gets really wild. P is [music] for
2:41 projects. Think of a project as a space
2:44 where you store your context. It lives
2:48 with your instructions, memories, files,
2:50 repeated tasks. For instance, for your
2:54 work projects, upload your resume, PDFs,
2:56 and data that's relevant. You can even
2:59 customize the instructions inside each
3:01 project's settings. Just remember not to
3:05 mix domains. So for example, I have my
3:07 consulting project and then my YouTube
3:10 project [music] and my health project
3:12 separate. This turns your EI from a
3:16 temporary chat into a persistent brain.
3:18 But that's only the first battle. You
3:20 still need an army to do the heavy
3:23 lifting. That is our next strategy. The
3:26 second strategy is called the swarm.
3:28 There's a great story in ancient [music]
3:31 Indian mythology about a demon who was
3:33 impossible to defeat with a single
3:37 weapon. So the great goddess manifested
3:39 eight arms wielding eight different
3:42 weapons at once. She was known as
3:46 Ashtabuja Dura. Eight arms, eight
3:48 weapons, eight battles fought [music] in
3:51 parallel. And most of us are fighting
3:54 our own modern demons with just our two
3:57 bare hands. Our brain can only handle
4:00 one task at a time. You need to hire
4:03 three specific advanced capabilities of
4:07 chat GPT. Number one, your hands. Stop
4:09 doing tasks one by one. Use the agent
4:12 mode. Dispatch the swarm. Instead of
4:14 searching for a single lead, give chat
4:18 JPT a [music] command. 550 leads in the
4:20 SAS space. Verify their emails. Rank
4:23 them by revenue. That's it. Let it run.
4:25 You go get coffee. But there is one
4:27 [music] catch. Chat GPT is still trapped
4:30 inside a text box. It can find leads,
4:33 but it can't actually put them into your
4:36 CRM or build a process around them.
4:39 Number two, your eyes. Stop describing
4:42 your problems. Chat GPT is very visual.
4:44 You can take a photo of a whiteboard
4:48 sketch, a broken car part, or a complex
4:50 analytics dashboard. Just upload it and
4:53 then say, "Analyze this picture. Tell me
4:54 what's wrong with it." and tell me one
4:56 move that I can make to fix it. You're
4:59 using chat GPT as your eyes, not just
5:00 your keyboard. [music] And the great
5:03 thing is Chat GPT can see things human
5:05 eyes can't. And finally, number three,
5:08 your research assistant. You can do deep
5:10 research that was once the domain of an
5:13 analyst who you would pay $50,000 for.
5:15 Recently, I was in a meeting with a
5:17 chief technology officer of a large
5:19 firm. And he said something very
5:22 interesting. He said, "I had to evaluate
5:24 six [music] presentations delivered by a
5:26 very large IT consulting firm on the
5:29 technology infrastructure of a massive
5:31 data [music] center." And there were 300
5:34 pages of dense information. But what did
5:37 he do? He uploaded them all in Chad GPT,
5:40 hired a swarm of AI analysts. One
5:43 afternoon, that's all it took. Now, that
5:45 would have taken weeks before. [music]
5:47 That's the world we're heading into. In
5:50 the age of AI, you won't be billing for
5:53 your time anymore. You'll only bill for
5:55 your taste. [music] So, this swarm gives
5:58 you an army of powerful interns. But
6:01 your next strategy isn't about hiring AI
6:02 to take orders. [music]
6:05 Is there to challenge you? Your third
6:08 strategy then is the devil's advocate.
6:11 Around the 1500s, the Catholic Church
6:14 was the most powerful organization on
6:16 earth. But it was also under a lot of
6:20 attack. By 1587, the Pope had a massive
6:22 problem. The church was canonizing
6:25 saints left and right. So the Pope did
6:28 something pretty radical. He created an
6:31 office called the Advocaci,
6:33 [music] the devil's advocate. This
6:37 person's entire job was to argue against
6:38 the canonization [music]
6:41 of any saint, to find the dirt, to poke
6:43 holes, to be ruthless. The church
6:45 [music] realized this 400 years ago.
6:48 When the stakes are high, good decisions
6:51 are rarely made through agreements. They
6:53 come from conflict. Now, why is this
6:55 necessary? Well, it's called the IKEA
6:58 effect. We fall in love with anything we
7:01 build ourselves. Research shows that
7:02 smart people are great at [music]
7:04 spotting flaws in other people's
7:07 thinking, physically incapable of seeing
7:09 them [music] in their own. So the key
7:12 insight, most people use chat GPT for
7:16 validation, but you should use it for
7:18 violation. But here's the problem. Chat
7:20 GPT [music] is programmed to keep you
7:23 happy. So you have to force it to behave
7:25 differently. So, here are the three
7:28 tricks to break the AI's peopleleaser
7:30 programming. First, [music] use magic
7:33 triggers. Force adversarial thinking.
7:35 Instead of saying, "What do you think?"
7:38 be specific. Prompt it and say, "Audit
7:40 this using [music] first principles or
7:43 act as my fierce competitor." You may
7:46 not get what you want, but you will get
7:48 what [music] you need. Second, shadow
7:50 boxing. Don't step into the ring
7:52 unprepared. Let's say if you're going
7:54 out to raise money for your venture,
7:57 tell the AI, simulate a debate between a
8:01 ruthless, skeptical VC and a visionary
8:04 product designer. Let the VC push back
8:06 on the idea. I want to see that fight
8:10 and learn from it. This way, you let AI
8:12 expose the weak points so you don't
8:14 fumble on them [music] in the real world
8:17 meeting. Third, the blind spot check.
8:19 feed it your strategy and ask one
8:21 question based on what you know about
8:24 me. What are the gaps in my reasoning?
8:27 When we get successful, we develop two
8:31 bad habits. We trap ourselves [music] in
8:34 this bubble of our ego and we surround
8:37 ourselves with people who just say yes.
8:39 That's why this strategy is so critical
8:42 to save you from yourself. But knowing
8:44 where you're wrong or why you're wrong
8:46 is not enough. You still have to learn
8:49 fast about what's right. That's where
8:51 our next strategy comes in, the neural
8:54 link. And it breaks the rule most of us
8:56 grew up believing that mastery takes
8:58 10,000 hours. You know, there is a
9:01 famous story about a physicist Max Plank
9:04 after he won the Nobel Prize, he went on
9:06 a tour giving the same speech about
9:09 quantum mechanics every night. Now, his
9:11 chauffeur sat in the front row every
9:13 time and literally memorized every word.
9:15 One night the chauffeur said,
9:16 "Professor, I'm getting bored just
9:18 listening to you. Let's switch. I'll
9:20 give the lecture on stage and you sit in
9:23 the audience wearing my cap." Plank of
9:25 course agreed. Same words, same
9:28 structure, same cadence. The speech was
9:31 flawless. But at the end, a physicist in
9:34 the audience stood up and asked a deep
9:36 technical question. But the chauffeur
9:39 didn't panic at all. He smiled and said,
9:41 "I am surprised to hear such a simple
9:43 question in a city as advanced as
9:46 Munich. To prove how simple it is, I'm
9:48 going to let my chauffeur answer it." Of
9:50 course, that was Max Plank. But here's
9:53 the point. Most people use chat like
9:55 that chauffeur. They copy paste smart
9:57 sounding phrases and answers [music] to
10:00 sound intelligent. They have fluency
10:02 without foundation. So, here are three
10:04 ways to get that neural link. True
10:06 understanding without becoming that
10:09 chauffeur. First the jargon translator
10:12 for instance tell it explain the concept
10:15 of API using the restaurant metaphors
10:18 only. Suddenly the menu becomes the
10:20 documentation. The kitchen is the server
10:23 and the waiter is the API. The messenger
10:26 that takes your order delivers it in the
10:28 kitchen brings back the results. You
10:30 aren't learning from scratch. You're
10:33 translating that jargon into your
10:36 jargon. Second, the progressive
10:38 professor Richard Feainman said that if
10:40 you can't explain it simply, you don't
10:42 understand it. So don't ask Chachi Peter
10:45 to explain quantum computing, but
10:48 instead say explain quantum computing to
10:51 me three ways. One, like I am a
10:53 5-year-old and give me the simplest
10:55 explanation. Number two, like I am a
10:58 15year-old, explain it with logic and
11:00 examples. And three, like I'm a college
11:02 student, share the underlying theory.
11:05 When you do that in that particular
11:08 order, you will feel any concept click
11:10 into place in your brain instantly. And
11:13 third, the degree download. You teach
11:16 it, you keep it. So use AI to be your
11:19 target audience or a peer prompted to
11:21 say something like, I want to build a
11:24 cool AI commerce product. I need to
11:26 learn the foundation of how machine
11:28 learning works. Skip the theory, only
11:30 give me actionable skills, no fluff, and
11:33 then test me so I can teach it back to
11:35 you. You just replaced a boot camp worth
11:39 $50,000 with a PDF. So, here you are.
11:41 You have built a high-performance chat
11:44 GPT machine, but such machines tend to
11:47 overheat. The fifth strategy is called
11:50 the executive coach, and without it,
11:51 none of the other strategies would work.
11:54 [music] 2,000 years ago, Marcus
11:57 Orurelius was the emperor of Rome, but
12:00 he was also the loneliest. He had no one
12:02 to talk [music] to. So, he hired a
12:06 coach. That coach was a blank scroll.
12:08 Every night in his tent, he wrote down
12:10 his anxieties, [music]
12:12 his fears, his advice to himself. He
12:16 titled that manuscript to himself. If
12:18 you are a successful executive [music]
12:22 or on the path of being one, you need an
12:25 executive coach. I had two and they both
12:27 changed my trajectory dramatically. But
12:30 sometimes executive coaches and mentors
12:31 aren't going to be available to you at
12:33 midnight when you need them the most
12:35 when you can't sleep because of a
12:37 decision you have to make. And that's
12:40 when you can use chat GPT to show you a
12:43 mirror with zero emotional baggage. You
12:45 can even turn the voice mode. That's
12:47 what I do. [music] Here are three tricks
12:50 to turn chat into your temporary
12:52 executive coach. First, the vomit
12:56 mirror. When you are overwhelmed, your
12:59 brain is going to be a tangled mess. It
13:02 happens to me. Open voice mode and say,
13:05 "I am going to rant for 5 minutes about
13:07 everything stressing me out. Don't
13:09 interrupt. Just listen. When I'm done,
13:12 organize my chaos into three lists.
13:14 Problems I can solve today. problems
13:16 [music] I need to delegate, noise I need
13:19 to ignore. That's it. And then [music]
13:22 go ahead, just rant as long as you want.
13:25 Second, the stoic mirror. It's possible
13:29 that you may have just lost a deal or
13:31 you got fired or something terrible
13:33 happened. You can say to Chad GPT at
13:36 that point, I just took a massive loss.
13:38 I feel like a failure. reframe this
13:41 situation for me using [music] the story
13:44 principles and tell me why this is
13:46 actually an opportunity. Have that
13:49 conversation until you're convinced.
13:50 Push back. Let [music] it push back to
13:53 you. Even if you're not convinced, it'll
13:56 slow down the emotional spiral that
13:58 you're on instantly. [music] And the
14:00 third and the final mirror, the decision
14:02 mirror. Before you make a massive
14:04 decision like quitting a job or starting
14:07 a new company, talk it out. I am about
14:09 to do X. Here's my logic. Let's have a
14:11 conversation. You don't have to put
14:13 faith in Chat GPT's advice. [music] In
14:16 fact, please don't. But talking it out
14:19 clears your own head about your own
14:22 judgment. We covered five strategies and
14:24 15 ways to optimize your relationship
14:28 with Chat GPT. But here's the truth. All
14:30 of these skills are essentially alpha.
14:33 In finance, when traders find an edge,
14:35 they make a fortune and it's called the
14:37 alpha. But eventually everyone figures
14:40 it out. What's rare today becomes
14:42 required tomorrow? That's how life
14:45 works. And what happens when it all
14:47 becomes a [music] commodity? How will
14:50 you maintain your edge then? I'll share
14:52 my personal story that changed my idea
14:54 about my edge. A week before I took my
14:57 CEO job, my executive coach pulled me
15:00 aside [music] and he said, "Remember,
15:03 your title is CEO, chief executive

15:08 just stand for executive. It also stands
15:11 for emotions. You're the chief emotions

15:35 didn't consume, we didn't matter to the
15:38 market. So what did we do? We tried to
15:42 outroot the robots. But now the actual
15:44 machines have arrived to take their job
15:47 back. [music] And that's not a threat.
15:49 That's actually a permission. Permission
15:52 to us to stop pretending like we're
15:55 machines. Permission to feel, to show
15:57 compassion, to connect to those
15:59 mysteries, to connect to others, to
16:01 connect to this mystery called life. In
16:04 a way, I feel that AI and machines are
16:07 coming to free us from labor [music] so
16:10 we can return to our essential nature.
