Hello all!
Till now, many people are still scared of cholesterol.
And many still take cholesterol meds.
Let’s uncover things you’ve never heard before.
I’ll dive even deeper than our last episode, the one from 3 years ago
that went viral.
Here’s a summary: how to treat it?
Is it really dangerous or not?
Who should actually listen to me?
I’m Kareem Ali, and this is a new episode of “Fekr Tany”.
Stay tuned, I'll be back after the break.
Welcome back!
Let’s talk cholesterol in your blood
whether oxidized or not,
small or large, good or bad.
It’s produced by your body,
not from what you eat.
I once ate a whole kilo of butter, and my cholesterol?
It was 131, maybe went up to 132.
So where does cholesterol come from? It mainly comes from inside your body.
Today I’ll share real, medical facts.
We’ll break it down from A to Z.
People fear cholesterol because
oxidation turns it dangerous.
Oxidation → artery stiffness
high pressure, clots, and even death.
But guess what?
Your body makes it daily.
Every morning, 2 to 3 grams of it
that’s 3,000 milligrams—are produced.
The liver sends cholesterol to your body
to make hormones, nerve cells, vitamins.
It supports vital functions in every cell.
It even reduces cancer and inflammation.
Yes, your body makes 2 to 3 grams daily!
Now let’s talk about cholesterol types.
In blood tests, you’ll see “Total Cholesterol.”
Forget that—focus on HDL and LDL.
HDL isn’t cholesterol itself, it's a taxi.
High-Density Lipoprotein not Cholesterol
High-Density Lipoprotein (HDL) carries used cholesterol
back to the liver.
That’s why they call it “good cholesterol.”
More HDL = more cleanup = healthier you.
Even leftover cholesterol gets recycled.
What’s left “in the street” gets picked up and reused.
Your body makes cholesterol daily
but still reuses every last bit of it.
Even bile with cholesterol gets absorbed again.
The intestines return it to the liver to reuse.
Because cholesterol is too valuable to waste.
HDL the "good" one isn’t even cholesterol.
It’s a carrier that brings cholesterol home.
Now what about LDL?
That’s the one called “bad cholesterol.”
We take meds to lower it, right?
But guess wha, LDL is also a taxi.
It leaves the liver to deliver cholesterol.
So what’s inside the taxi?
Of course, cholesterol!
If it carries cholesterol, how can it be “bad”?
And, those who know, also triglycerides.
Yes! Triglycerides are the real danger.
LDL carries cholesterol and fat.
Then comes VLDL, which is a bigger disaster!
It’s a type of LDL carrying not cholesterol but more fat.
When VLDL rises, triglycerides go up.
Is thar danger? Of course!
And that’s what clogs your arteries.
So what matters in your blood test?
Cholesterol itself isn’t the real danger.
The real threat is triglycerides.
When I look at a blood test
I don’t care much about total cholesterol.
HDL is great.
And LDL?
It is useful and your body needs it.
But VLDL? That’s where the danger starts.
If your VLDL and triglycerides are high
you’re on the road to clots and heart issues.
So take it seriously. Pause and reflect.
Fix the root causes. I’ll tell you how in a minute.
Now that we understand the physiology let’s move to the next point.
When cholesterol gets high, we give statin drugs.
They block a key enzyme:
HMG-CoA reductase.
Don’t worry about the name but here’s what it does:
It helps the body produce cholesterol.
So when we block it, cholesterol drops.
Less cholesterol leaves the liver.
That’s the goal.
But the liver is the factory not your food.
Now here’s the issue
and today’s episode title:
Why should you fear statins?
Because blocking HMG-CoA reductase
also blocks another enzyme Coenzyme Q10.
So what happens if it gets blocked?
Let me tell you what it actually does.
Q10 is vital for your cell’s power plants
it helps produce energy for every cell.
Want anti-aging and energy? Forget it without Q10.
It’s a strong antioxidant,
and it's great for heart health.
We give it after heart attacks, heart failure, and hypertension.
It helps insulin work better, reduces resistance.
Supports healthy skin, reduces acne, boosts collagen.
Q10 boosts fertility in both men and women.
Also helps prevent migraines and boosts muscle performance.
But statins shut all this down. Completely.
You treat cholesterol, but risk clots and heart issues.
You stop the very enzyme that keeps the heart strong.
That’s why many experts now say:
If you take statins, you must take CoQ10 too.
So after all this fear, what's the solution, Doc?
If triglycerides & VLDL are high,
it's a big problem, clots and oxidation.
Here’s what to do
Step one: Move more.
Just 20–30 minutes a day.
Best time? Before breakfast and before sleep.
Especially before sleep if you had a heavy meal
Ideally, don’t eat 4 hours before bedtime.
Then walk 30 mins before sleep to burn triglycerides.
Step one: Move more.
Step two: Lose weight.
Losing just 5–10% of your weight
greatly lowers harmful cholesterol and triglycerides.
Step three: Cut all sugar.
What’s wrong with sugar?
Sugar, not fat, turns into triglycerides.
Sugar and alcohol are the top sources of fat buildup.
They cause fatty liver high VLDL, and artery blockage.
So cut white sugar, sweets, and chocolate.
And cut harmful oils: corn, sunflower, canola.
Also cut margarine and hydrogenated oils completely.
They raise triglycerides, VLDL, and inflammation.
One: Move more. Two: Cut harmful food. Three: Lose weight
Step four: Reduce stress.
Some people have high cholesterol just from chronic stress.
Stress raises adrenaline, and the body makes more cholesterol.
You need to feel calm, relaxed, and safe.
Fighting stress is a whole topic, and I'll link to a full video on it.
But it’s crucial to lower harmful cholesterol.
Now add healthy fats to your diet.
Like olive oil it improves bad cholesterol.
It replaces harmful fats with safer ones.
Also: flaxseeds, chia seeds, nuts
salmon and lamb fat are full of healthy fats.
These raise HDL, which helps your liver manage cholesterol.
HDL keeps it in the body without losing it too fast.
That also reduces LDL—the bad one.
There's another trick: fiber.
When LDL reaches your gut, fiber catches it.
Like psyllium husk or flaxseeds.
They trap the cholesterol so it doesn’t return to the liver.
That stops the liver from making even more.
So you’ve cut cholesterol before it returns to the system.
Psyllium is amazing, I have a full episode on it.
It can significantly lower LDL and protect your heart.
Now we’ve reached the golden point.
If you made it this far, you’re in for something special.
Throwback to old episodes...
Cholesterol flows through your blood.
If you eat sugar, sleep poorly,
exercise too much, or get stressed,
oxidation rises in your body.
That means more free radicals.
What are free radicals?
They’re atoms missing an electron.
Unstable, so they roam the body.
They steal electrons from other atoms.
Then that atom becomes unstable too
and the cycle continues.
This causes widespread inflammation and damage.
So when oxidation is high
free radicals start attacking.
They search for atoms to steal electrons from.
The easiest target in your body?
Cholesterol atoms, and they oxidize first.
But does God leave us defenseless?
No! Cholesterol has two protective layers.
Very important!
First layer: Vitamin E.
It shields cholesterol from free radical damage.
Especially when you eat poorly, lose sleep, or feel stress.
Second layer, can you guess?
It’s Coenzyme Q10.
Both layers protect cholesterol from oxidation.
But what if you don't eat fats? There's no vitamin E.
Or take statins that remove CoQ10?
You become highly vulnerable to oxidation.
So, what should you do?
Step one: Fiber.
Step two: Omega-3 twice a day.
It reduces bad cholesterol, lowers triglycerides,
and improves good cholesterol (HDL).
Step three: Vitamin B3 (niacin) I’ll link a full episode.
Vitamin B3 is a strong antioxidant that protects cholesterol from oxidation.
Now focus, this is the golden tip.
Red Rice Yeast is a game-changer.
It works just like statins without the side effects.
Even doctors now prescribe it.
It blocks cholesterol oxidation and liver overproduction,
without harming hmg coenzyme reductase.
That’s the beauty: lowers LDL while protecting Q10.
Nature’s magic but with 3 conditions.
Condition 1: No citrinin, a toxic substance.
Some cheap types contain citrinin a toxic compound for humans.
You might buy it to heal, but it causes oxidation and liver damage.
So always choose trusted brands with no citrinin.
Condition 2: If it contains L-carnitine, even better.
L-carnitine makes it work 100% more effectively.
That’s why L-carnitine can sometimes reduce LDL on its own.
Because it boosts fat-burning, and lowers bad cholesterol.
So when you combine it with red rice yeast,
it destroys bad cholesterol, prevents oxidation,
increases energy, protects Coenzyme Q10,
supports immunity, skin, and all Q10 functions,
plus heart health.
Now I’ve shared most of the episode, and here’s one more trick.
You know what’s great for protecting cells from oxidation?
Vitamin E.
Then what’s the point of Vitamin C?
I always say it’s the strongest antioxidant.
Here’s a new fact
Vitamin E gives away an electron to calm a free radical.
But once it gives that electron it becomes inactive.
And when E is inactive, your immunity drops.
Oxidation increases, hormones get disrupted,
because too much oxidation depletes Vitamin E levels.
Now you understand why Vitamin E matters.
I always said: Take antioxidants!
It boosts your skin, and your fertility for men & women.
Because Vitamin E loses electrons to fight off free radicals.
It’s the best antioxidant after Omega-3.
So what’s Vitamin C’s role then?
Surprisingly, it’s not an antioxidant itself!
Its real job: to reactivate tired Vitamin E.
Vitamin C brings back Vitamin E's full power.
It’s Vitamin E’s personal protector!
Together, they protect cholesterol— while Red Rice Yeast lowers it.
The result? No more artery blockages or fear.
All without taking a single drug!
Eat foods rich in Vitamin C, or take it as a supplement.
And get your Vitamin E as much as possible from olive oil.
Take Red Rice Yeast with the specs I gave you.
I’ll try to find a trusted product for you.
I’ll add it to the description below the video.
Now you understand how the whole system works.
It’s all deeply connected.
One of the worst mistakes is reducing cholesterol blindly.
You may trigger many diseases by depleting Coenzyme Q10.
So, lose weight. Move more.
Quit junk food completely.
Take Omega-3 and Red Rice Yeast .
Then in 4 months, retest your full lipid profile.
You’ll be shocked, and it’ll be 100% clean.
This episode is super important. Please share it
with everyone over the age of 30.
And subscribe to the channel
because more powerful episodes are coming soon.
And now... it’s time for the question.
So, what should you really focus on in your lipid profile?
1 Total cholesterol
2 HDL?
3 LDL?
4 Triglycerides and VLDL.
Thanks for watching this is one of the classic episodes!
Watch it more than once.
