How's it going, mate? Hope you're okay.
Um, today, as you can probably see by
the title of the video, we're going to
be talking about something a little bit
different. I don't think there's that
many people speaking about this in this
community. Maybe people outside of this
community, um, but people inside this
community who are talking about the
downsides of cannabis. Now, don't get it
twisted, right? As you all know, I
[ __ ] love cannabis and it has helped
me to improve my life to no end. So,
this isn't me hating on it. This is
just, you know, everything in the world
comes with a pro and a con or a positive
and a negative. Like, that's that's the
way at least the the server I'm in that,
you know, the universe and the the
planet that I exist on, that's the way
of life. Everything has got a pro and a
con. And, you know, as we've discussed
before, there are cons to the
alternative medicines, which for me
outweighed what I received in a pro
versus what this medicine did for me.
However, to say there's no cons is, you
know, it's completely a lie. It's it's
false. It's just not true. Um, so today,
I'm just going to literally just talk
about what my experience of the
downsides of medical cannabis, and not
just medical, but cannabis in general,
because I do think that whether you're
on medical or not, um, whether you're
looking to get on medical and you've
never tried it before, whether you're on
black market, um, and you're trying to
get on medical or you're thinking about
it, I do think you'll have experienced
these downsides. But also, there's a lot
of people who they may not have
experienced these downsides because
there's so many people in the comments
that, and shout out to every single
[ __ ] one of you, by the way, the last
video has got over 11K views. I am mind
blown. Um, and we've hit 2K subs now.
Like, what? I literally said in the last
one, can we hit it by the end of the
year? And within a week, we've hit 2K
subs. I am what? Um, so thank you to
every single one of you. You're all
[ __ ] legends. You know that already.
and I appreciate all of you. Um, we are
building a community here. But like I
say, I I to be honest, I was kind of in
two minds about this video cuz I didn't
want to rub people up the wrong way and
kind of piss people off. But then I just
realized like I didn't get this this
growth on this channel by worrying about
pissing people off um or trying to fit
in with whatever. I I was just trying to
be me and just talk about different
topics and just put the camera in front
of me and hit record and just do that.
So that's what we're going to do today.
Um, like I say, there's so many people
that are commenting that are thinking
about getting on cannabis medically, but
they've they've never even touched it in
their life and they've got so many
questions. Um, and I just think it's
worth whether you're in it, whether
you're not in it, whether you're
thinking about getting in it, I just
think it's a worthy conversation topic.
Um, and it's something that I think
understanding the downsides has helped
me massively to help me use cannabis in
a more productive way, like a way that
enhances my life more than it takes away
from it. Um, we'll get into that in a
minute, but yeah, basically I just think
that it's it's it's it's
worth speaking about and it's worth
acknowledging that there is definitely
downsides to this um medication just as
with any other medication. Um, you know,
there's loads of downsides to other
things like medic medication and alcohol
and other things that people use to to
cope with and deal with their daily
life. Um, and as I say, me personally,
these downsides don't outweigh the pros
for me. So, don't think this is me
bashing cannabis and hating on it. It's
not. As I said, I [ __ ] love it and
it's helped me massively in my life and
it still continues to do that. But, I
just think it's being it's worth being
aware and having conversations around
these types of topics. Um, yeah. So,
let's get straight into it. I think the
first one that people may not think
about when they first get involved is
tolerance. If you've been using cannabis
for some time now, you'll already know
what I'm about to say. You know what I
mean? And as with any medication, the
more you use it, the higher your
tolerance goes. The more your tolerance
goes, the more you need to use it to get
the relief that you are getting from
that medication. Um, now, as I've said
before, getting on medical and using dry
herb vapes, massively decreased my
tolerance and massively decreased how
much I need to use to get the effects I
need. Um, as well as many other
positives. But that's not, you know,
that's not for this video. That's
something I spoke about in another
video. Um, but in terms of the actual
tolerance itself, I just don't think
people are are as aware of it and it
ties directly into the costs, which I
think is another downside is, you know,
it's not like on the NHS where if you
build a tolerance up to painkillers that
you're getting, they can just prescribe
you more. I mean, I've known lads myself
that they've been prescribed something
and they get their month's worth. They
have it all in a week and they go back
and just pick another prescription up
and they'll do it again and again and
again and they're just over consuming
what they need to consume because their
tolerance is so high and obviously it's
hard to come back from that then. it it
takes a period of abstinence from that
thing um which can be very hard if
you're dealing you know with um treating
a a medical condition and it depends on
that condition but I do think there's a
fine line as well where depending on the
condition you are the only person who
knows how you feel and when you need to
medicate um but I know I'm speaking from
experience there's been times in my life where
where
I was I wasn't using it as a medication.
I was using it as a means of escape in a
way. Um,
also as I've spoken about before, you
know, once you get on medical the
tarpines and the understanding of the
effects you can get from different
plants, that makes a big difference as
well. Um, I can't lie, there was
definitely times where I was over
consuming just because I wasn't getting
the effects I needed. And it turns out
it's because the stuff that I was
getting off Black Market that week was
different to what I got the week before.
And I just, you know, I didn't
understand. I knew that there was
difference. Obviously, you can tell by
the smell, the look, the taste,
everything. But the tarpine breakdown
wasn't what I needed to get the relief
that I was looking for. Therefore, I was
just smoking more and more of it. And
feeling like, why am I not why am I not
getting to the where I want to get at?
If I hope that makes sense. Normally,
you guys pick up what I put down. You
you get what I'm trying to say. I know
I'm not the most amazing at, you know,
articulating and explaining myself. Um,
but I am trying. I'm slowly getting
better, I think. I hope. >> [gasps]
>> [gasps]
>> Um but yeah, so the cost it like I say
those prescriptions with medication from
the NHS you can go and pay 8 pound
whatever it is per prescription and just
get more and it's going to cost you 8
quid a time with cannabis medical
cannabis you will pay per 10 gram of
flour that you pick up or per you know
I'm say speaking for myself um I use
flour I don't use you can get oils you
can get vapes um which is like a liquid
distillate type thing Um, you can I
don't think you can get edibles anymore.
I do believe they've stopped that now.
Um, but again, it's just not something I
have experience on. There is many people
out there who have got experience on it
and are probably talking on it. So,
apologies if you know I'm not touching
on those subjects and that's something
you're interested in. Um, but either
way, there will be a cost associated. No
matter which method of consumption or
method of uh like format of THC that you
get, there will be a cost to it. And the
more you consume, the more that cost is
going to go up because your tolerance is
going to build up and you're not going
to be getting the effects that you're
wanting to get. So, I just think that
it's worth being mindful of. Don't get
me wrong, this is where the dry herb
vape come in for me. This is where
changes to my lifestyle, my habits, my
mindset, like other things that I found
near impossible to do without cannabis.
Once I was using medical cannabis,
respecting it for what it was, and
getting the right strains that helped me
with what I needed, I felt like I was
able to actually go and make these
changes and improve my life, which in
turn has allowed me to not just improve
my life, but improve my my everyday
living to the point where I realize I
don't actually need cannabis in that
instance. Actually, in this part of the
day, I do though I'm struggling. And
that's something depending on your
condition, you know, it it may be it may
or may not be something you can change,
you know, um it doesn't matter what
condition you're prescribed for, whether
it's pain, whether it's um OCD, whether
it's anxiety, um you know, migraines, or
whatever it might be that you might be
prescribed for. There's no one can tell
you that you're not feeling that thing.
However, you can assess yourself.
Am I doing this out of habit? What I'm
trying to get at is it's easy to form a
habit of something that you do every day
at a certain time. And it can get to a
point where you realizing actually I
don't need to do this. And again, this
is from my experience. I've I've gotten
to this point um a few months ago. It
was like an interim of where I really
needed it. And then I realized I didn't
need it quite as much. But during this
interim period, I was just smashing it
like I was at the beginning all day. get
up on it. And like I say, this is all
this is where I didn't want to, you
know, upset people, but I know you lot
my people and you you understand where
I'm coming from and you know, it's
coming from a place of love. So, I I I
just had to get out my own head with
this one and just say, "Fuck it. I'm
going to do it." Um, but yeah, I just
think that it's worth being mindful of
that it's not a magic cure. You know
what I mean? it it can [ __ ] help you
massively, but it's not a magic c cure
that you can just keep smashing as much
of it as you can every day and there's
never going to be any issues. Um,
because if you're using it to cure
something, I'm not talking about
recreationally, you know, people can use
it just to loosen up and to whatever.
There's many reasons, but I'm talking
about like medical use here.
it it's just something that you kind of
have to get the feels with and it's
going to take you a few months to to
dial in even getting the right
medication as we spoke about in the
tarpen video. It's going to take you a
while to get to that point. And then
once you get to that point, you will
probably find within a short period of
time, as long as you're following it,
you know, along the lines, for me, this
again, this is just my experience. Dryer
vaping. Vaping. That sounds a bit weird,
wasn't it? Drier vaping and being able
to select the strains which I need for
the effects that I want and actually
getting those strains dialed in. It's
helped me to decrease my tolerance and
the amount I use and the cost of per
month for me [ __ ] massively.
Absolutely hugely. Um, it's crazy. Like
I used to go through uh before on black
market probably a zip a week. A zip a
week. Sometimes more. That's an ounce.
That's 28 g. And you know if you're
buying medical it's 30 grams cuz you're
buying in 10 g increments. But it was like
like
I it's like I was chasing for an effect
that I was never going to get. And then
other times I'd find myself, you know,
using way way way less
but not quite understanding why. And
it's because I was getting something
that was helping me with what I needed.
Um so yeah, I think basically
Sorry, I'm just getting thrown off.
There's a lot of people just walking
around. I'm like, who's who's here?
Who's doing what?
Um, but yeah, basically
what was I saying then? What was I saying?
saying?
I just got completely threw off, guys. Um,
So, yes, tolerance cost. Uh, I think
it's worth understanding that
budgeting is going to come into account.
You need to think about how much money
you're going to be spending each month
and actually accounting for that because
you don't want to just find yourself
ending up barely any flour left because
you've been caning through it and then
you're like, "Shit, how am I going to
pay for this? I need more." And you
know, you can get more. That's fine. Of
course you can get more. They're selling
your medication. Um, but at the same time,
time,
do you need that more or are you just
increasing your tolerance for no reason?
Do you know what I'm saying? I like I
say it's all personal only you know and
this is where it's discernment within
yourself. Um you know you've got your
own autonomy if you like. You've got
your own brain on and you can feel if
you're starting to you know if it gets
your back up a little bit hearing this
internally you're thinking [ __ ] hell.
All right. Well maybe then it's
something you need to think about and if
you're just like in agreement and like
yeah 100% I agree with him then maybe
you know you're all good. It's hard to
say without, you know, being you. You
you are you and you know. Um but I just
think when you're talking about costs
and budgeting and um it all tying in
together with tolerance, I think it's
well worth it. And obviously on top of
that, there is going to be side effects.
You can overdo it with this medication.
Like especially if you're switching
strains and stuff like that and you're
trying out a new strain you've never
tried before. You're not going to want
to try that before something important
because you don't know how it's going to
make you feel. It it
again it depends on what it is you're
trying to get. Um and this is another
downside as well that I wanted to touch
on specifically with UK medical is the
availability, the stock. Um it's like
the strains that are available.
They're sometimes they're there all the
time and other times you'll go back and
they've been discontinued and so you'll
find or they're out of stock or
whatever. And I understand that can
happen. Um, but I think again this is
this is something we can't really do
much about other than just try and build
this community, try and improve the
scene by being more people here. The
more people that are here, the more
money that's involved. Um, you know,
ultimately that is what's going to
shift. As I've said in the past, you
know, people going on saying, "Oh, the
flower's dead." And re all this type of
stuff, right?
There is some dead flower out there, but
over time it's improving. And the more
that we as the people
only support the brands with the the
good quality stuff, um, the more those
ones with the worst quality stuff will
phase out. You know what I mean? It's
inevitable. It will definitely happen. I
just think, yeah, I I I hope I've
touched on those main points there. I
think I had a couple of other points to um
Yes.
So, the functionality
of you being on this medication, as with
a lot of other medications, I know I
kind of touched on this, but
you you need to be aware of how it's
going to make you feel, and you need to
get an understanding of that when you
start taking it. Um, and you need to get
a feel for it because again, I'm more so
speaking to people who've never tried it
before in this instance. Um, but you're
not going to want to just be, you know,
vaping while you're going around driving
cuz you you may feel impaired and that's
not suitable. You know, that's part of
the deal when you're getting on it as
when you've either taking opiates or
whatever from the doctors. You you need
to not drive whilst on that medication
and you're impaired on that medication.
Now, you may get to a point where you're
used to that feeling and you can
function perfectly fine. That's fine.
But it's worth being aware that it's
just it is something you're going to
have to get used to and it's not going
to be overnight. It will take a bit of
time to get there. Um it will take a bit
of time for you to get to that
understanding where you're like, "Oh,
okay. This makes me feel like this." And
that's where then sometimes the strain's
not in stock anymore and you're like,
"For [ __ ] sake, I found something that
worked so well for I've seen so many
comments of people saying stuff like
that. Um
yeah, I and I feel for them, man. I feel
for them cuz I know myself that is a
common issue with me like stock levels
of certain things. Um that's where
you've got to try and start to dial in
what tarpines affect you in the way that
you like because then you can find other
strains with a similar tarpine breakdown
and generally get that similar sort of
feeling or even maybe better. Oh, sorry
guys. Yawning. I seen one of the
comments saying, um, crack a window. You
know what I mean? So, I have cracked the
window. Just they said that that's why
you're tired. I promise you that's not
why I was tired, but I have cracked the
window cuz you're right. I'm just
breathing in my own breath. Um, I'm
tired cuz I got a young baby and a hell
of a busy life. Um, I'm just about
squeezing in the time to do these
videos. I haven't done them for over a
week now. So, um, I I really [ __ ]
appreciate every single one of you
that's been blowing the last video up in
the last week. Like I say, we've hit 2K
[ __ ] subs, man. Um
I'm took back. I am took back. I can't
believe it. Um yeah, all the comments. I
mean, we've been doing lives as well.
I've done a couple of lives. We did one
last weekend with um one the weekend
before and they really did well. Like it
was I say they did well. What I mean by
that is I jumped in the live and there
was a load of you lot vibing,
sessioning, enjoying your time and we're
just all connecting with people in a
similar scenario, similar situations. um
and just sharing our experiences, just
hanging out. It was [ __ ] cool, man. I
really enjoyed it. So, thank you to
every single person who was in that
live. Even if you were in there for two
minutes, I appreciate you because you
were helping more people get shown the
live and so on and so forth. You know
how it works with the algorithms and
that. Um so, yeah, I had a great time.
I'm going to start doing those lives
every weekend. Um either Saturday or
Sunday, we're going to do a live and
it'll be 4:20 p.m. Um I'm not sure which
day yet. Like I say, it'll be Saturdays
or Sundays. just keep your eyes out,
keep your notifications on. Um,
sorry about that, guys. But yeah, we're
going to get on the lives 100%.
Um, and
continue to just put more videos out.
Um, I want to do a Q&A. I think I'm
going to either do that on a video or on
live. I was going to do it on the last
live, but there was that much
interaction going on. I never got to the
point of reading through all the um,
comments. I had them there ready to go,
but it was just so We're on for three
and a half hours and we were all just
bouncing off of each other into re
interacting and it was [ __ ]
brilliant, man. I really enjoyed myself.
Um, and people in the stream were saying
the same thing, you know what I mean?
So, I I really do appreciate it. Um,
yeah, man. It's mad. It is absolutely
mad. Someone suggested we make a
Discord, so I've gone and done it. I've
made a Discord. The link's on my channel
if you want to join. Um, there's already
a few of us in there, people, you know,
showing their flowers. Um, I I think we
need to put, you know, I'm new to
Discord. I don't fully understand it.
So, bear with me. If anyone can help at
all, let me know. Um, join and send me a
message and, you know, we'll sort
something out. Um, but yeah, I I just
want it to be a place where we can share
stuff that we can't really share on
here, even if we're on a live. And, you
know, I can't be showing my vapes too
much and my whole setup and everything.
Um, the same time, you guys can't show
us. like some of you lot have got vapes
that I've never even heard of and you're
saying they're incredible and and it's
like oh it'd be great for us to just
share interact same with flower um I've
even put a little section on there for
pets you know what I mean get get your
pets in there let's share let's just
build a community around this thing that
the more that we all get involved and we
all get medicated mate then the more
people will understand about this and
know about this and that brings me on to
the last one I completely forgot um So,
sorry to bit all over here. Uh, but
yeah, the last one is stigmatism. Um,
this this way that people treat you.
Even if you're legal on cannabis, you've
got a legal medical prescription,
some people are going to treat you a
certain way when they know about it. So,
I think it's just worth again using your
discernment and thinking, do I need to
blurt this out to everybody? It's all
great, you know, um, sharing and getting
the getting it out there, but at the
same time, you got to think about your
own self in your life. Like if you went
to work, would you be telling every
person that you're on high strength
opioids or amphetamine medication or
whatever it may be? No, you wouldn't.
You might tell certain select people
that you trust. Fair enough. But would
you go around telling everyone? No. And
there's a reason for that. And with
cannabis, I do think that the downside
stigmatism. We've had a load of comments
talking about it in another video um
saying that, you know, family members
judging them for coming off their
medication and going on to cannabis and
they're saying it's changed my life and
their family are just judging them and
don't want to speak to them or um it's
disgusting, man. I It does my head in to
be honest that there's people out there
paring that opinion that's not even
their opinion. And it's something that's
been drilled into them for years through
this demonization of this [ __ ] plant.
It's a plant, mate. How How can that be
worse for you than some of this man-made
crap that they're pushing? You know what
I mean? It's
Yeah. To me, it doesn't make sense. And
I know, you know, all it takes all sorts
to make a world. Everyone's entitled to
an opinion, but that's exactly it. And
so, if your family members telling you,
"Look, I do this and this works for me."
Respect that. Do you know what I mean?
your friend, your colleague, whoever it
is, or your neighbor. People have issues
with their neighbors, even their
partners having, you know, full-blown
issues with the fact that they found
something that improves their life. And
I just think it's not. Yeah, it's it's
as with everything I said before, you
know, it's not something that you want
to be dependent on. Um, and like you may
feel like certain times, oh, I don't
know how I'd get through the day without
this. That's all right. That's okay to
feel like that. That's okay. But you
have to understand that, you know,
depend as again dependent on your
condition, dependent on, you know, your circumstances.
