0:04 China they eat seven dish every day in
0:08 Tanzania every even two dishes you know
0:33 yay [Applause]
0:35 [Applause]
0:37 good afternoon everyone from post
0:39 pandemic China you guys may have heard
0:41 the news recently that China is about to
0:43 open its borders for foreign tourists
0:45 and in a couple of months leading up to
0:47 that they were gradually opening it up
0:49 by allowing more Visa types and getting
0:50 rid of the quarantine policy for
0:52 international arrivals this allowed the
0:55 organization I work at Green jadang to
0:56 receive our very first International
0:59 guest in three years the environmental
1:02 ambassador of Tanzania winfredo shonde
1:04 and in between the packed itinerary of
1:07 conferences and tours and presentations
1:10 we got to have a bit of fun too and it
1:11 was during those moments that I got some
1:14 great Vlog footage so let's experience
1:17 this one-of-a-kind moment together rural
1:20 China meets a Tanzanian foreign
1:40 oh he wants to take a picture with you yeah
1:42 yeah
1:56 he says he's too ugly to be in the photo
2:07 hello [Music]
2:22 that's how this is yeah she's getting
2:23 rid of the weeds [Music]
2:25 [Music] wow
2:30 she says you're doing a great job I need
2:32 to take you with me more often when I go
2:34 to rural China you're definitely a
2:37 social butterfly your biggest fan is back
3:04 is everyone in Tanzania like you or is
3:06 this your like Personal Touch is
3:08 everyone this outgoing
3:13 many of them have this but I'm always in
3:15 my country everyone love me
3:17 I used to do this for the people make
3:19 smile so if I go to Tanzania don't
3:22 expect everyone to be quiet this you'll
3:25 expect one of them that's why they say
3:28 Tanzania are so lovely they want to they
3:31 make a guest like a home so when you go
3:34 there everyone will be wanting you to be
3:36 like at home when you go to your country
3:39 it's like you are leaving the family in Tanzania
3:40 Tanzania
3:42 how sad I don't want to leave can I go
3:50 you'll be there forever and we'll make
3:54 sure you have a happy life every day
3:59 no we don't have work in our country
4:02 full of Peace full of love no segregation
4:03 segregation
4:08 everyone in love we have a president
4:12 called Dr samiya Sulu Hassan she's a
4:16 woman so we sing like a mother and she's
4:20 just showing us the way so she's a
4:23 leader by example so if you see the
4:25 mother or your leader showing how to do
4:28 things then that's why I'm here not only
4:30 did my colleague and I get to experience
4:33 the off the chain outgoingness of
4:35 tanzanians we also got some interesting
4:37 nuggets of information about cultural
4:43 differences in China they eat 7 today
5:02 you put maze
5:03 and the
5:06 hey sweetie beautiful
5:08 beautiful
5:09 sorry about that we got distracted by
5:12 the potato dog anyway of all the
5:13 cultural differences I took note of
5:15 during my time accompanying Winnie the
5:18 most obvious one to me was how much
5:20 tanzanians love to give money and gifts
5:22 to strangers for example when we saw
5:24 some elderly people singing karaoke in
5:26 the bottom floor of a hotel when he was
5:28 trying to hand them 100 r b notes and in
5:29 Tanzania that's totally normal and
5:31 people would take the money and they'd
5:32 be happy but in China they were just like
5:34 like
5:36 it seems that in Tanzania giving a gift
5:37 or money to a stranger is a pretty
5:39 normal thing but in China if you want to
5:41 get a stranger to accept your gift it's
5:43 going to be a bit of a challenge you
5:45 have to like to this [Music]
5:46 [Music]
6:01 [Music]
6:03 she says watch out for your fingers
6:17 foreign [Music]
7:00 okay bye it is [Music]
7:09 she's [Laughter]
7:32 [Music]
7:34 what should I do it's just hard you have
7:36 to be like here take this to be like no
7:37 no no no and then you gotta be like take
7:39 it and they'll be like no no no no and
7:40 then you gotta do it like 10 times then
7:43 she accepts maybe yeah oh so you gave up
7:45 after the first time so she was like
7:46 okay I guess she wasn't really giving me
7:48 the gift if you tried like 20 times
7:50 you're like no take it take it take it
7:51 take it take it take it eventually they
8:09 even though people in China don't
8:11 generally accept gifts and money from
8:13 strangers one thing most people will
8:14 happily accept and give you back in
8:17 return is a smile and a greeting and
8:19 once we got some wheels and increased
8:22 our speed we could even more efficiently
8:24 deliver highs and waves and random
8:27 Tanzanian songs to everyone we pass foreign
8:28 foreign
8:35 how [Music]
8:37 [Music] what
8:43 [Music]
8:58 Tanzania hold up we're about to hit somebody
9:04 yeah
9:16 well we got the hang of it eventually yeah
9:45 the only Swahili that every American knows
9:54 oh my God that got released
9:58 wow this is how you have not to give up
10:02 yes this is a good example
10:07 never give up keep going keep going
10:11 never give up we're married [Applause]
10:14 [Applause]
10:15 so we are about to start heading back
10:17 towards the entrance but then far off in
10:19 the distance we saw a bunch of people
10:21 and then we just asked an employee what
10:23 they're doing and it's a bunch of kids
10:25 planting trees so of course money is
10:27 super excited and is literally running
10:36 [Music] children
10:57 [Music] foreign
10:59 foreign [Music]
11:02 [Music]
11:05 from kids planting trees to the drums in
11:07 the Park from random dogs to these
11:09 four-wheeled bicycle Contraptions our
11:11 Tanzanian friend was excited by anything
11:15 and everything including the legendary
11:18 selfie traps you are drawn in by the
11:19 music and the lights and the decorations
11:21 but once you go through this one-way
11:24 turnstile there's no going back you have
11:26 to go through the store where you are
11:29 tempted by an endless array of random
11:37 stairs with music and pretty lights and
11:40 now you gotta buy stuff
11:48 in total when he got lured into three of
11:50 these caves and I'm not gonna lie some
11:52 of this stuff is genuinely tempting
11:54 who could say no to this rubber Lobster
11:57 or how about this fidget spinner with
11:59 extra steps for this wobbly duck don't
12:01 you want a peacock xylophone or this
12:03 little guy look at him this place
12:06 satisfies all your wildest materialistic
12:12 okay
12:13 just when I thought the stuff in the
12:17 store couldn't get any more random Mini
12:18 Mini
12:28 yes you have to come it's the price you
12:31 pay to take selfies in the cave you have
12:40 wow do you feel tempted by this rubber corn
12:48 it just exists
12:49 it's just
12:53 it just exists
12:56 do you feel tempted yeah maybe I can put
12:58 you on the on my my
13:04 yeah yeah yeah we all know that stuff
13:06 has no real purpose and yet it's so hard
13:08 to leave the selfie cave store without
13:10 buying some kind of useless knickknack
13:13 this here is my rubber banana a gift
13:16 from Winnie symbolizing friendship
13:19 between Tanzania and the United States
13:22 and China and I will treasure it forever
13:24 from the scenic villages to the
13:26 enthusiastic children from the delicious
13:28 food to the inexplicably tempting
13:30 knickknacks we did our best to leave
13:32 Winnie with an impression of China she'd
13:34 never forget and she did the same with
13:36 us for Tanzania
13:39 how are you China how are you Tanzania
13:42 how about in China together
13:44 together
13:48 environment beautiful country
13:50 are you ready to give to be my assistant
13:52 Lo and cheesy yes
13:54 are you ready to get married with my
13:57 brother show me a picture [Laughter]
14:01 [Laughter] [Music]
14:12 [Applause]
14:16 Tanzania China America USA and we we
14:21 just say that we have we are capable to
14:26 make this world green to make this word
14:30 for the current and the future Russian
14:31 Russian
14:34 in the past all I knew about Tanzania
14:36 was its natural scenery and don't get me
14:37 wrong that is definitely something to be
14:39 excited about who doesn't Love Giraffes
14:41 right but now I am equally intrigued by
14:43 the people of this country their
14:45 friendliness and warmth their sense of
14:47 humor their Hospitality their optimism
14:49 and when my chance to visit Tanzania
14:51 comes I cannot wait to take you guys
14:54 with me when you come back soon we miss

14:58 little taste of Tanzanian culture and I
