0:02 Thanks for checking out my video. 327 is
0:04 coming next week, so I thought I'd make
0:06 a video going over the changes that are
0:09 coming in 327 and going over the
0:10 different ascendy choices that we're
0:12 going to have available to us uh in the
0:14 upcoming league. So, let's go over what
0:17 changed first. What is gone is all the
0:19 mercenary power that we had, and we had
0:21 a lot of it. It's going to be sad not to
0:23 have any of it. We got extra curses. We
0:25 got action speed and crit immunity. Uh
0:28 we got extra fizz taken as bonus damage.
0:30 We got different ailments. We got extra
0:32 auras. We got all kinds of stuff from
0:35 mercenaries. That stuff is all gone.
0:37 Some stuff got nerfed. Importantly,
0:40 spell suppression got nerfed. Uh, a 20%
0:43 nerf from 50% down to 40% less damage
0:46 taken. Trickster got a bunch of nerfs.
0:48 Uh, One Step Ahead got nerfed down to
0:50 90% speed instead of 108. So, it's
0:51 actually not even going to give you a
0:54 speed buff anymore. Soulrinker lost its
0:56 attack speed and cast speed. and
0:58 spellbreaker lost all of its extra suppression.
1:00 suppression.
1:01 Uh, calling whisper, which is a soul
1:04 leader ring, uh, got a big indirect nerf
1:06 because they nerfed curse duration on
1:08 hex touch. And they got rid of the delve
1:11 rings, too. Uh, whispers of infinity got
1:15 nerfed from 400 ES down to 100 if you're
1:17 using that on a on a CI trickster. And
1:20 then the energy leech support got nerfed
1:23 from a total of 38% more damage down to
1:27 only 24% more damage. Uh what is going
1:29 to be new this league is we're getting
1:32 bloodline power uh ascendancies which
1:35 are you're going to be able to take one
1:37 alternate bloodline ascendy. Uh some of
1:39 them I think have up to three different
1:41 nodes on them. So theoretically you
1:43 could take only one node in your main
1:46 ascendy and up to three in a bloodline
1:48 one. Uh, but we haven't seen them all
1:50 yet. We're getting graphs, which are new
1:52 little things that we put on our
1:53 inventory, and they're going to give us
1:56 new power. Uh, assassin is brand new.
1:58 It's kind of meh in my opinion. There's
2:00 a bunch of new gems that got put in.
2:02 Nothing uh that we're probably going to
2:04 use on any Frost Blades build. We're
2:06 getting new Foulorn unique mods, which
2:08 are like special new corrupted mods that
2:11 replace mods on unique items. Could be
2:13 insane. And then there's a bunch of new
2:15 uniques. Uh, we haven't seen all of them
2:17 yet, but the few that they have revealed
2:19 all look kind of bad in my opinion. And
2:22 then everything else is the same pretty
2:24 much for every Frost Blades build. They
2:26 didn't touch any of the gem. The
2:28 ascendencies for the most part besides
2:29 slayer or not slayer, sorry, uh,
2:32 trickster. Uh, the the items are the
2:34 same. Everything else is the same. So,
2:37 here's the new assassin. Uh, I think the
2:39 assassin is not the most optimal
2:41 ascendancy for anything really, but it
2:43 is going to be playable. If I was going
2:45 to play assassin, I would go mist walker
2:47 and then deathmarked. So, that's three
2:50 nodes. And then for the fourth node, I
2:53 would probably go one of these two crit
2:56 nodes over here and until I uh found a
2:59 good bloodline node to take instead,
3:00 depending on what the bloodline nodes
3:03 are, but again, too early to say that.
3:04 So, now I'm going to go over some
3:06 ascendency pros and cons for all of
3:10 these five ascendencies here. The Warden
3:12 uh has the most insane damage of any
3:15 ascendency by far. Probably double the
3:16 damage of all the rest of them, if not
3:18 even more than that. Uh it has the
3:21 easiest freezing. Uh and then uh it's
3:23 the only girl here. So, if you if some
3:25 of you might some of you weirdos might
3:27 care about that, uh pick the warden.
3:29 Cons though is it doesn't have basically
3:31 any defense from the ascendancy except
3:34 for freeze. Uh, but the freeze it does
3:36 have is insanely powerful. Freeze is one
3:38 of the most underestimated defensive
3:40 layers in the game. Uh, the damage is
3:43 bursty because it's kind of dependent on
3:45 avatar. Uh, and then it also requires
3:47 some ramp uh, with shock stacking. And
3:48 if you don't really, if you're not
3:51 familiar with that node, uh, and you
3:52 don't know how to play around it, it
3:54 might turn out bad for you. The champion
3:57 is the tankiest of the lifebased
3:59 characters. It gets free accuracy cap
4:02 and free fortify, permanent fortify. Uh,
4:04 but it is a weaker damage ascendancy and
4:06 it's reliant on adrenaline which you
4:08 have to proc. Uh, and then its fourth
4:11 ascendy node is there's not really a
4:13 great choice. They're all kind of weak
4:15 in my opinion. And then its accuracy is
4:17 semiconditional because you have to hit
4:19 something first before you get the
4:22 cannot evade from it. Slayer has the
4:24 best recovery from over leech. It gets
4:27 20% coal and it gets uh endurance
4:29 charges equal to frenzy charges. So, you
4:30 can get lots of damage reduction from
4:32 endurance charges, which are insanely
4:34 powerful in the game right now. Uh, and
4:35 then but the cons are that it's boring
4:38 in my opinion. Uh, it basically forces
4:40 you to stack frenzy charges and then it
4:42 has some of its damage conditional based
4:45 on killed recently. Uh, but overall,
4:48 Slayer is a overall good choice.
4:51 Trickster uh got nerfed this league a
4:55 lot. Uh but uh it is still probably the
4:58 best ES hybrid uh ascendency in my
5:01 opinion. Uh it has great ES defense and
5:03 recovery from the ES over leachch. Uh it
5:06 has easy claw node access uh because of
5:08 its starting point. Uh and then charge
5:11 duration from swift killer is incredible
5:13 Q. If you've never played it before,
5:15 having just basically infinite charge up
5:17 time, it feels really good. Uh but the
5:20 cons are it got nerfed. it's much harder
5:22 to invest into block on Trickster. Uh,
5:24 and you're kind of pigeonholed into
5:25 going claw because of the starting
5:28 point. And then scaling ES really high
5:29 can be very very expensive because of
5:31 how popular energy shield is. And I
5:32 still think that's probably going to be
5:34 the case this league. Uh, then there's
5:36 some anti-ynergy with blood rage and
5:38 energy shield. Uh, because blood rage
5:41 degens your energy shield. So, uh,
5:43 assassin is going to get the easiest
5:44 crit cap because it's going to get a
5:45 free power charge. It's going to get
5:47 free accuracy cap because of the mark
5:49 node. You're going to get extra gem
5:51 slots because you don't need to use the
5:53 assassin's mark gem. It's going to have
5:56 free power charge generation uh which
5:58 you kind of get already uh from
6:01 Assassin's Mark quality, but assassins
6:03 going to have it's going to be better at
6:05 it. You get crit immunity while elusive
6:06 from Mistwalker, which is going to be
6:09 all the time. Uh so overall, decent
6:11 package, but the cons are it's also kind
6:13 of boring because it's there's no
6:15 buttons on it. It's just pure passive
6:17 ascendancy. It's going to have a lack of
6:20 defenses. Uh there's almost no defense
6:22 on it besides the crit immunity. Uh you
6:24 have to play claw because it's dependent
6:26 on elusive scaling, which means you have
6:28 to use nightblade, which means you have
6:30 to use claw or dagger, but I don't think
6:32 I'd go dagger. Uh the accuracy is
6:34 semiconditional the same way the
6:36 champions is. Uh and then the damage is
6:39 also bursty around elusive procking. So
6:41 that's an overview of all the pros and
6:43 cons between all the ascendencies. And
6:45 now I'm going to talk about some of some
6:47 miscellaneous stuff about each one. So
6:50 the warden is dependent on crit earlier
6:52 to get scorch online because you have to
6:55 crit in order to scorch. And scorch is
6:56 where a lot of the warden's damage comes
6:59 from. Uh if you go oath of spring for
7:01 and you have to shock stack, you have to
7:03 hit a lot of times to stack stack up
7:06 shock stacks. Uh and so VLS is really
7:08 good for that. Uh but if you aren't
7:09 aware of how that works and how
7:11 important it is, uh you might have some
7:14 trouble. And then avatar, you have to
7:16 manage your your avatar uptime uh and
7:18 align it with your shock stacking kind
7:20 of to get your best burst damage. So it
7:22 is there is some trickiness to playing
7:25 Warden. Uh on champion, adrenaline
7:27 procking is extremely important and uh
7:29 you have to kind of use corrupting fever
7:31 to selfdamage yourself to proc the
7:33 adrenaline. So that takes up extra gems
7:35 and you could also do it on a weapon
7:37 swap. So there's some practice involved
7:40 there to maximize that. Champion is the
7:41 hardest to scale damage because it's a
7:44 more defensive focused ascendency. Uh
7:46 and then also fortify stacking is very
7:49 expensive because of the gloves uh the
7:51 drop from Uber Xar. They made them a 1%
7:54 drop rate. Uh and then you do get perma
7:56 fortify which is very nice but you can
7:58 pretty much maintain permanent fortify
8:01 on all the classes uh because of the
8:06 chest implicit. So, you know, Slayer,
8:07 you can go two hand on Slayer the
8:09 easiest if you want to because endurance
8:12 charges uh kind of make up for not
8:13 having a shield because endurance
8:15 charges are just such a generically good
8:17 defensive layer. Uh but it is very
8:19 dependent on those charges. Uh
8:21 Frostblades builds don't typically
8:23 struggle with recovery. So, the over
8:26 leech that Slayer gets, uh I've haven't
8:28 found it to be the most like impactful
8:31 thing. Uh, but overall, Slayer is a
8:34 solid choice for a life-based character.
8:37 Trickster, one step ahead is good early,
8:39 but as soon as you get ailment immunity,
8:42 I think it's kind of not really worth
8:43 having on a freezing build because the
8:46 action speed reduction gets overridden
8:48 by your chill and freeze from
8:51 frostblades. Uh, so one step ahead is
8:53 kind of bad now. Uh, well, it's it's
8:55 always been bad in my opinion, but it's
8:57 even worse now. And then heat shiver.
8:58 You can't really take full advantage of
9:00 heat shiver on trickster because it's
9:03 anti-inergistic with escape artist. You
9:05 really want to have a big defensive
9:07 helmet to take advantage of escape
9:10 artist. So you either have to choose, do
9:11 you want the damage from heat shiver or
9:13 do you want the defenses from a helmet
9:15 with escape artist? Uh and that's kind
9:18 of a bad choice to make. Uh so you need
9:19 a giga helmet in chest to really take
9:22 advantage of escape artist. And then
9:23 same thing with the over leech from soul
9:25 drinker. I don't think it's that
9:28 impactful uh on trickster. I think
9:30 spellbreaker is a better node because of
9:33 how much extra suppression it gives you
9:34 now, especially now that they nerfed suppression.
9:36 suppression.
9:38 And then on the assassin, uh there's not
9:40 that many gems that you're going to be
9:42 able to use to replace assassin's mark
9:44 that are going to make really that big
9:46 of a difference for the character, I
9:50 don't think. Uh, and then elusive, you
9:51 kind of have to pay attention to your
9:54 elusive to get the most value out of it.
9:56 Because when elusive first procs, that's
9:58 when you get your biggest damage bonus
9:59 from it. So, if you're not paying
10:02 attention to what your elusive uh
10:03 percentage is and whether it's about to
10:05 fall off or whether it's about to proc,
10:08 you might end up like uh missing some
10:10 big damage windows. And then I think
10:12 assassin overall is the squishiest of
10:13 all the choices because it's not going
10:16 to have easy access to block. uh it's
10:17 not going to have as much energy shield
10:18 as a trickster and it's also going to
10:21 struggle with PDR compared to the
10:23 classes that have better armor and
10:26 endurance charge access. So take take
10:28 these notes uh as you will for each class.
10:30 class.
10:33 Quick weapon and defense uh overview for
10:34 each class of what weapons they can use
10:37 and what kind of defenses they can use.
10:44 uh sword uh claw uh axe and then evasion
10:46 hybrid armor evasion energy shield
10:49 evasion or pure ES. Just pause the video
10:51 here if you want to look at this.
10:52 A couple more things about the new
10:54 league. Bloodlines are the new
10:56 ascendancies. They've only shown a
10:58 couple, so we don't know which ones are
11:00 the best choices yet. I might make a
11:02 separate video about this sometime in
11:04 the next few days once we uh have access
11:08 to all of them. So stay tuned for that.
11:09 Graphs are another thing that we don't
11:11 know what's going to be best yet because
11:13 we haven't seen them all. There's going
11:15 to be 16 different uh types that each
11:17 have a skill on them that do different
11:19 stuff. Uh and then there's going to be
11:21 some extra damage power and stuff on
11:23 them too, but again can't really say
11:26 what's optimal yet. And then foul
11:28 uniques. Uh they're also not revealed
11:30 yet, at least what the mods are. Uh,
11:33 it's probably the case that each item
11:36 slot has like its own list of mods. Uh,
11:39 so if we can find certain uniques, like
11:41 a heat shiver, for example, if you could
11:43 get a heat shiver that has chaos resist
11:46 on it instead of evasion, for example,
11:48 that would be incredibly good. So, we
11:50 got to stay tuned for what those mods
11:52 are going to be. And that's it. That's
11:54 all I wanted to cover in this video.
