1:47 up behind the sand burm that forms the
1:49 main American fighting position the
1:51 Delta Force operators Rangers and their
1:54 Kurdish Partners ears still ringing from
1:56 the massive artillery bombardment greet
1:58 the reinforcements and haul the fresh
2:00 ammo and supplies from the armored truck
2:02 fixed on the thermal imaging displays of
2:04 the MP's remote weapon systems the
2:06 Gunners searched the open desert between
2:08 the konoko refinery and the town of
2:11 kasham clear as day the signatures of
2:13 armed men appear white Hol against the
2:16 cool KN Russian Vagner mercenaries and
2:18 their Syrian allies rallying to face the
2:21 next attack approximately 40 American
2:23 forces and their allies the rebel

2:37 at the approaching Fighters along the
2:40 burm the dismounted Special Forces ready
2:42 their light machine guns and Javelin
2:45 missiles the Green Beret Sergeant known
2:48 only as chy Keys the radio let's open up
2:50 and let them know we're
2:53 here through January 2018 us
2:55 surveillance assets observe hundreds of
2:57 Syrian soldiers and dozens of armored
3:00 vehicles steadily amassing in the city
3:03 of D resor the bulk of this force is
3:04 assessed to be elements of the Syrian
3:07 fourth Armored Division but us signals
3:09 intelligence intercepts radio traffic
3:11 that is unmistakably in Russian the
3:13 Russian Vagner mercenary group has
3:16 played a considerable role in aiding Pro
3:18 assat forces providing leadership
3:20 advising and often participating
3:23 directly in combat us Central Command
3:25 uses the deconfliction phone line with
3:27 Russia to discuss the buildup but the
3:28 Russian Armed Forces claim to know
3:31 nothing of the operation
3:32 with a group we aren't allowed to
3:34 mention on YouTube henceforth referred
3:37 to as organization ice largely defeated
3:39 in the region the eyes of Assad's
3:41 government in Damascus turned to
3:43 securing Syria's former wealth
3:45 traditionally oil and natural gas
3:47 reserves were a Cornerstone of the
3:49 Syrian economy Syria has been
3:51 negotiating with Kurdish leaders for
3:53 access to these oil fields but to no
3:57 avail yeni progan the now late leader of
3:59 the Vagner group tells Syrian officials
4:01 that he has approval from an unnamed
4:03 minister in the Russian government to
4:05 conduct an offensive to improve a sad
4:08 situation their objective is the Kurdish
4:11 held Kono natural gas Refinery just over
4:13 the agreed demarcation line between
4:14 Kurdish and Syrian
4:17 territory the konoko plant is held by a
4:19 small Kurdish Force supported by an
4:22 advisory team from the US 75th Ranger
4:24 regiment suspicious of the Syrian and
4:27 Vagner buildup us Central Command moves
4:29 a team of Delta Force operators to the
4:31 plant to assess the threat bringing the
4:34 Garrison to around 30 Americans the
4:36 nearest Allied ground forces are a
4:38 Detachment of US Army Special Forces and
4:41 a platoon of US Marines occupying a
4:43 mission support site around 20 M away
4:46 near Al suah at 5 a.m. on the morning of
4:49 the 7th of February 2018 US forces watch
4:52 as a large group of 250 Syrian Fighters
4:54 cross a pontoon bridge over the
4:56 Euphrates towards Kurdish
4:59 territory after a warning shot is fired
5:01 by us forces the syrians largely from
5:03 the fourth Division and tribal militias
5:06 withdraw back across the
5:09 bridge later at 3 p.m. Syrian and Vagner
5:11 forces begin to move up towards another
5:14 crossing point to the north as the hours
5:16 tick by US forces watch as they steadily
5:18 move across the Euphrates as Darkness
5:21 Falls senton places US Air Assets in the
5:24 Middle East on alert the green beray and
5:26 Marines at the mission support site
5:28 prepare to act as a quick reaction force
5:30 and pack their wraps with additional
5:32 ammunition thermal images medical
5:36 supplies and food a Black Hawk arrives
5:38 shortly after bringing blood and more
5:41 medical equipment to treat any
5:44 casualties as night falls the Syrian and
5:46 Vagner forces settle into the Villages
5:49 of kasham and tabia the Russian
5:51 mercenaries are under No Illusion that
5:53 they will be facing American forces as
5:55 well as Kurdish forces who the Syrian
5:57 and Russian sources habitually claim are
6:01 organization ice Vagner Fighters alleged
6:03 that their officers are given a final
6:05 briefing by Russian Ministry of Defense
6:07 Personnel who promised both air defense
6:10 and close air support from a pair of S35
6:13 flankers at 8:30 p.m. they moved to
6:15 their start line marked by the railway
6:17 that skirts the edge of
6:19 kasham Syrian troops from the fourth
6:22 division Iranian backs tribal militias
6:24 and Vagner group mercenaries mingle as
6:26 they form into columns on the edge of the
6:27 the
6:30 village like most militaries bord is the
6:32 most common emotion and one Vite knocks
6:35 on the hatch of ayrian t62 looking for
6:38 food the hatch swings open and he is met
6:40 with a wave of fragrant smoke either
6:43 from tobacco or other substances a hand
6:45 emerges from the swirling MK with a
6:48 Syrian off-brand Snickers bar orbiting
6:52 above a US Air Force mq9 UAV watches the
6:54 buildup streaming its video back to the
6:57 jck team at the refinery they watch as
7:00 over the next 2 hours sir and Vagner
7:02 artillery Crews practice loading shells
7:04 and sighting their guns and a platoon of
7:07 t-72s snakes up to the small settlement
7:10 less than a mile from the American
7:12 position at 10:30 p.m. in the dead of
7:15 night all hell breaks loots the Thunder
7:18 of howitzers announces the Syrian attack
7:21 122 mm shells rain down on the US and
7:24 Kurdish Outpost Farner mortars bombard
7:26 the Coalition fighting position and the
7:29 forward t-72s open up the crack of the
7:33 125 mm guns completing the destructive
7:35 Symphony Kurdish Fighters and Delta
7:37 Force operators Brave the withering hail
7:39 of shellfire and take cover behind the
7:42 protective sand burm around the refinery
7:43 and inside the armored hides of their
7:46 emirats springing into action the Airmen
7:49 operating the orbiting mq9 Reaper flip
7:51 their Master arm switch to on and begin
7:55 stalking the battlefield searching for
7:58 artillery 20 mi away the Green Berets
7:59 and Marines at the missions of support
8:02 site scramble aboard their mats and
8:05 mraps load their weapons and move out a
8:06 Kurdish truck
8:08 following the going is slow as the quick
8:11 reaction force is blacked out driving
8:12 with their night vision goggles and
8:14 having to snake through the sand burms
8:16 and roadblocks obstructing the
8:18 road as they push on through the night
8:20 us Central Command and the Pentagon
8:22 urgently raised their Russian
8:24 counterparts us signals intelligence is
8:26 still hearing Russian voices in the
8:29 radio traffic around kasham complication
8:31 the American response further Russia's
8:34 longrange S400 surfac to a missile
8:36 system is active causing sencom to hold
8:39 its responding aircraft back in case the
8:40 Russian Air Defense Forces are
8:43 supporting the attack while back Channel
8:46 diplomacy continues the mq9 crew smashes
8:48 four of the Syrian and Vagner howitzers
8:51 with Hellfire missiles the US Special
8:53 Forces reply as best they can at such
8:55 range with light machine guns and
8:57 Javelin anti-tank missiles from the
9:00 village of taba a pair pair of bm21
9:03 grads open fire no sooner has their
9:05 barrage started it is cut short by a
9:08 salvo of GPS guided highas Rockets from
9:11 distant Marine Corps artillery called in
9:14 by the American Special
9:16 Forces at around 1:00 a.m. the Green
9:18 Berets and Marines arrive near the
9:20 refinery and are AED by the sight of
9:22 shells bursting around the US and
9:24 Kurdish positions and the burning traces
9:26 from anti-aircraft guns employed in
9:28 direct fire flicking over the buildings
9:31 and sand turns the site is more than
9:33 enough for the driver of the Kurdish
9:36 truck who about turns and speeds off
9:39 chony Muses that he is the smartest man
9:40 on the
9:42 battlefield as the torrent of Russian
9:45 and Syrian shells subsides the Delta
9:47 Force Commander guides the qrf inside
9:49 the refinery grounds with his infrared
9:52 laser in quick order the Green Berets
9:54 and Marines position their mats online
9:56 behind the sandburn between the fresh
9:59 shell craters scarring the American line
10:01 most of the mraps are armed with a 50
10:04 caliber Browning M2 fitted to a remote
10:06 weapon system with thermal imaging
10:08 capability these weapons will allow the
10:10 Americans to deny the open ground
10:12 between them and
10:17 kasham z23 anti-aircraft guns rasp again
10:19 spitting deadly but inaccurate streams
10:22 of 23 mm high explosive rounds over the
10:25 Americans heads Vagner has only just
10:27 started through their thermals The
10:30 Operators Manning the 50 cal watch as
10:32 groups of white Silhouettes Advance
10:34 towards them across the sand these men
10:36 are clearly the forward element of the
10:39 combined Vagner and Syrian assault and
10:42 evidently believed the Americans to be
10:44 suppressed the remote weapon systems
10:47 slew onto targets Gunners lzs to find
10:50 their range and upon tron's order open
10:53 fire the M2 brownings explode to life
10:55 chattering steadily as they pour bursts
10:57 of lead into the oncoming
11:00 Fighters the leading Syrian soldiers
11:03 crumple under the brutal weight of fire
11:05 dunk in forward of kasham the rest of
11:07 the Syrian Force
11:10 replies a torrent of heavy machine gun
11:12 fire RPGs and other heavy weapons
11:15 showers the American fighting position
11:17 what the Syrian shooting lacks in
11:19 accuracy it makes up for in volume the
11:22 Special Forces give as good as they get
11:24 the Ensemble of 50 Cals keeps up the
11:26 punishment rhythmically hammering out
11:29 rounds to past 2 km substantially over
11:31 its usual effective
11:34 range Marines start between the mraps
11:35 rushing more ammo to the ravenous
11:38 machine guns green beray Dodge incoming
11:41 fire and 23 mm shells to frantically
11:43 reload the big ammunition Drums of the
11:47 50 Cals along the burn Delta operators
11:49 and Rangers Salvo javelins at distant
11:52 Russian and Syrian positions striking a
11:53 handful of
11:55 vehicles Russian officials on the other
11:57 end of the hotline disavowed the Vagner
12:00 Force entirely and powered down the S400
12:01 system in
12:04 lakia the United States informs the
12:06 Russians that they are going to take
12:09 action and the Russians do not object
12:11 Aviation forces are now on the way the
12:14 baguer Defenders of the konoko refinery
12:16 just need to survive until help
12:19 arrives team Sergeant chony is working
12:22 in the back of his matv drawing up the
12:24 team's next move as the vehicle's
12:26 interior reverberates with the D of the
12:28 Browning barking angrily on the mount
12:31 above them one of his Green Berets calls
12:34 in hey I got eyes on these really big
12:36 vehicles at first they are hard to
12:38 identify but 10 Blobs of heat soon
12:40 sharpen to the distinctive shape of main
12:43 battle tanks a company of 10 tanks are
12:45 leading a new attack along with Syrian
12:48 militants from taba trying their luck
12:50 chony directs the other Green Beret to
12:54 engage the lead vehicle the other mrap
12:57 obliges with a burst of 50 caliber fire
13:00 the rounds Arc lazily towards the T 72
13:02 and either Ricochet or shatter uselessly
13:04 against the thick armor plate the
13:06 company of Syrian tanks continues
13:08 forward closing the distance to less
13:11 than 2 km it appears that the American
13:13 special forces have expended all of
13:15 their Javelin anti-tank missiles their
13:18 only salvation now can be air support
13:20 but the Green Beret team leader known as
13:23 Andrew is unable to raise any support on
13:26 the radio nonetheless he knows they have
13:28 to keep fighting keep shooting and
13:30 marking any anything armor with traitors
13:33 for when the aircrafts check in lacking
13:35 thermal sits or modern night vision the
13:37 fourth armor division's t-72s advance
13:40 closer still the bright orange shots of
13:43 their 125 mm guns briefly Illuminating
13:46 the darkness H frag rounds tear overhead
13:48 the unnerving crack and the pressure
13:50 wave of the supersonic rounds remind
13:52 them how exposed they and their thinly
13:55 armored mats are the Gunners keep
13:57 hammering away with their 50 Cals Trails
13:59 of Tracer rounds suppressing any
14:01 accompanying infantry and peppering the
14:04 oncoming t-72s now practically at
14:07 spitting distance less than 1,000 M away
14:09 and showing no sign of stopping one
14:11 Green Beret reflects everything that
14:13 we've accomplished and this is where
14:15 everything ends against Russian
14:17 mercenaries with tanks not even the
14:20 enemy that we came to fight we had to
14:21 make peace with the possibility of not
14:23 making it back but it was easier to
14:25 swallow knowing we were defending our
14:29 friends and doing what needed to be done
14:32 the lead tank erupts in a ball of flame
14:34 and exploding ammunition the bewildered
14:36 Special Forces operators look up to see
14:40 their saviors from the north four ah-64e
14:42 Apache Attack Helicopters sweep over the
14:45 refinery slinging another Hellfire into another
14:46 another
14:49 t72 rolling into a bank over the desert
14:51 the lead Apache opens up with its 30 mm
14:53 Cannon a withering hail of high
14:55 explosive shells crackles across the
14:58 Vagner and Syrian fighting positions as
15:00 the first pair Thunders around to re
15:03 attack the second pair PS on the fire
15:04 hitting tanks and fighting positions
15:07 with hellfires and Laser guided apkws
15:10 Rockets one Vagner fighter describes the
15:12 aerial barrage as a merrygoround with
15:15 heavy caliber machine guns but as the
15:18 tide Turns The Operators at the refinery
15:19 receive more grave news from the
15:21 officers Manning the watch stations at
15:25 us Central Command just be advised
15:26 incoming bomber the American Command
15:29 Center warns Roger team leader Andre
15:32 replies no dude Russian bomber
15:35 inbound Andre passes this Stark warning
15:37 onto his men as he envisions their
15:40 position being obliterated by 500lb
15:42 bombs there is little they can do but
15:45 get in their vehicles and brace for
15:48 impact on the edge of kasham in front of
15:50 the buildings a Vagner column sits
15:53 waiting to advance the mercenary sitting
15:55 on top of tanks and lighter Vehicles
15:57 hear the rumble of jet aircraft above
16:00 and morale grows hours have arrived the vagit
16:01 vagit
16:04 guess they are made known of their error
16:06 as the lead vehicle in the column is
16:09 vaporized F15 strike Eagles of the 336
16:11 Fighter Squadron the rocketeers have
16:13 arrived knowing what's coming the
16:17 Infantry scatter a 500lb jdam smashes
16:19 into the t72 at the rear of the column
16:21 throwing off the main battle Tank's
16:24 turret with the lead and rear Vehicles
16:26 knocked out the gas trucks and brdm2
16:29 Armored Cars trapped in between are
16:32 destroyed one after another despite the
16:33 still raging firefight between the
16:35 American Special Forces the syrians and
16:37 their Vagner allies an Air Force
16:39 tactical air controller stands on the
16:42 burn exposing himself to enemy fire to
16:44 direct the incoming air
16:46 support the air crew circling above can
16:48 hear him running out of breath from
16:50 vectoring so many strikes in quick
16:52 succession the Apaches keep up the
16:55 barrage cutting down the Syrian Fighters
16:57 that attempt to flee back to kasham and taba
16:59 taba
17:01 Russian Air Force su30sm flankers are
17:04 actually on Route towards Dara or it is
17:06 not known if they have orders to engage
17:09 but they choose to keep their distance
17:11 aside from the F-15 e pounding the
17:13 Syrian and Vagner forces there is
17:16 another threat umber notes to anyone on
17:18 the ground a flight of F22 Raptors are
17:20 perched high above the battlefield
17:22 stealthily watching the Russian Fighters
17:25 and RAM missiles at the ready after an
17:28 hour of punishment the devastated Syrian
17:30 and Vagner forces received the order for
17:32 a general Retreat the dismounted
17:34 Infantry flees back across the railway
17:36 line through kasham they avoid friendly
17:38 tanks and vehicles realizing that they
17:42 only serve to draw American bombs more
17:44 aircraft arrive on station Vagner
17:46 mercenaries hear the Drone of turbo
17:49 props and realizes what lurks above them
17:52 an a130 whiskey Stinger 2 takes over
17:55 from the orbiting Apaches in its dark
17:57 and crowded cargo bay weapons operators
17:59 load the first of many shells into the
18:03 breach of its 105 mm Cannon and let
18:05 fly the powerful high explosive rounds
18:07 collapsed the buildings where the Syrian
18:10 and VG troops are taking cover now a
18:13 B-52 Strat Fortress tops off the aerial
18:16 Armada upgraded since its original
18:19 specifications B-52 H's no longer carpet
18:21 bomb enemy positions but instead linger
18:23 for hours at high altitudes acting like
18:26 an orbital battle station steadily
18:28 dispensing its massive arsenal of laser
18:30 and GP s guided bombs onto targets
18:32 throughout the battle Syrian tank Crews
18:34 break into buildings to try and hide
18:36 from the bombardment an ammunition
18:38 Warehouse is set a blaze and any
18:40 vehicles in the open are
18:43 destroyed thoroughly beaten the Vagner
18:46 and Syrian Fighters make the nearly 6 km
18:47 escape to the crossing over the
18:49 Euphrates stopping briefly only to
18:52 shelter from incoming bombs and
18:54 shellfire using the deconfliction line
18:56 Russian authorities negotiate a
19:00 ceasefire with US forces by 4:00 a.m.
19:01 despite reporting in the immediate
19:04 aftermath of the battle it is unlikely
19:07 that 200 Vagner Fighters were killed the
19:09 United States estimates that between 200
19:11 to 300 of the 500 strong force were
19:13 killed though most of these casualties
19:15 will have been soldiers of the Syrian
19:17 Army's fourth Division and tribal
19:19 militias estimates of Vagner group
19:22 casualties range between 20 and 80
19:24 killed depending on the source
19:26 regardless of the numbers losses were
19:27 heavy enough for the group to commission
19:30 a memorial Comm commemorating the defeat
19:32 no American Personnel are harmed and
19:35 only one Kurdish SDF fighter is injured
19:37 one of the survivors is the t62 crew
19:39 that handed the Vagner Fighter the
19:42 Snickers bar with a faulty radio and in
19:44 their own world of music and smoke they
19:45 did not realized that there was a battle
19:49 raging for over an hour upon realizing
19:51 they flee only to be found 2 days later
19:52 in another
19:55 Village speaking to the US Senate armed
19:57 services committee on the 26th of April
