0:02 so Hogwarts Legacy has a fair amount of
0:04 decisions that you can make but how many
0:07 of them have a real impact surprisingly
0:09 enough quite a few of them actually
0:11 including some that will make you miss
0:13 out on certain rewards if you're not
0:16 being careful I also want to issue a
0:17 spoiler warning for some of the later
0:19 game missions that I'll talk about
0:21 towards the end of this video so just
0:23 keep that in mind before we go any
0:25 further of course your house of choice
0:27 at the start already has one of the
0:29 biggest impacts on more than just the
0:30 different common rooms you have access
0:33 to which unfortunately ended up being
0:35 one of the biggest letdowns in the whole
0:37 game since they barely get used and have
0:39 minimal content outside of a few
0:42 interactions that being said I did Cover
0:44 before how each different house has one
0:46 dedicated Mission early on that slightly
0:48 changes the way you meet the ghost
0:50 during Jack Do's rest main story Mission
0:52 with the most unique of course being the
0:55 Hufflepuff one getting a full-blown
0:57 visit to asban as well as a first and
1:00 only look at the manter guard in it
1:03 unfortunately it did not add anything
1:05 gameplay-wise Slytherin also gets access
1:07 to the giant squid hidden cave beneath
1:10 the castle which was actually one of the
1:12 handful of giant squid interactions that
1:14 this house has in the whole game
1:16 including the one in the sther in common
1:19 room when tapping the third glass window
1:22 meanwhile Gryffindor got a not so unique
1:24 look at the kitchen area as well as a
1:27 cinematic involving the ghost of Nicolas
1:29 that was specific just to this house and
1:31 finally Ravenclaw which involved
1:33 visiting the alri in order to solve the
1:36 puzzle Jack doll Left Behind using his
1:38 own statues another major decision
1:40 involving the four houses comes with the
1:42 two types of unique armor sets that you
1:44 get for each one of them the first one
1:47 being The Relic House uniform which you
1:49 get after solving all of the 16 dallan
1:51 key mini games found around the Hogwarts
1:53 Castle which would then provide the
1:56 unique house robe as a reward each four
1:59 of these look special look really great
2:01 and high quality displaying the obvious
2:03 House theme as well as the collar on the
2:05 back and the entire robe including a
2:07 very nice shine effect that becomes even
2:10 more noticeable during the nighttime if
2:12 you were to hunt for any armor sets
2:14 these are by far the first and the best
2:16 you should in the entire game but
2:19 there's one more set of gear that's also
2:21 house specific and that's the quiddit
2:23 captain uniform that you get from The
2:25 Challenge that requires you to land on
2:27 all of these platforms around the open
2:29 world of course my favorite piece here
2:32 is the last one which is a cape that
2:34 also features an upper chest guard that
2:36 will change in color depending which
2:38 house you represent so for example
2:40 Gryffindor will feature the red color
2:42 for the same armor while the Slytherin
2:45 comes with the green color instead
2:47 meanwhile Raven Claw is an obvious blue
2:49 and lastly we have Hufflepuff with the
2:52 yellow variant now the next big decision
2:54 early on comes during the sixth major
2:57 Story Mission called Welcome to Hogs
2:59 meet during which Professor Weasley will
3:01 ask you to choose between Natty or
3:03 Sebastian to bring with you on your
3:06 first journey in town for the most part
3:08 this decision is mostly going to affect
3:10 only the current Mission as it only
3:12 changes which of the two characters will
3:14 accompany you on the way there and won't
3:17 have any bearing on future events even
3:19 the mission structure remains unchanged
3:21 with the same events triggering at the
3:24 same time the same meeting with Mr moon
3:26 on the outskirts of the town with the
3:28 visit the various shops and finally the
3:30 troll fight how however during the
3:32 mission there are a few key differences
3:34 between having one or the other
3:37 companion first each will reveal more
3:38 about their own lives including
3:40 Sebastian telling you about his sick
3:42 sister and Natty talking about her
3:45 family problems which means you'll get
3:46 to already be familiar with their
3:48 backgrounds before having their special
3:51 side missions the second thing is the
3:53 type of spells and the kind of like
3:55 combat that they fit when you fight with
3:58 the troll NTI plays a more support kind
4:01 of style but also uses bombarda and
4:03 sometimes expell armas for some reason
4:05 on the troll enemy meanwhile Sebastian
4:07 can be seen casting confringo and
4:10 occasionally leoso which just proves to
4:12 be useless against this enemy type none
4:15 of the dialogues otherwise matter here
4:17 besides role playing reasons and the
4:19 final cinematic before meeting Rookwood
4:20 will feature either of the two
4:23 companions depending which one you chose
4:25 to get in this video now some of the
4:28 site content and especially open World
4:30 stuff might also have some of its own
4:32 consequences albe yet some of them quite
4:35 Bare Bones for example in the case of
4:38 the singer NPC which appears in Hogs me
4:40 and other hamlets you can decide to give
4:42 them some of your spare change which
4:44 will affect the number of instruments
4:46 that they will afford to buy in the
4:48 future it only starts playing with the
4:51 trumpet I guess but then progressively
4:53 adds new instruments in the mix that you
4:56 can see being spawned as you give him
4:58 more and more money I guess this is a
5:00 nice touch over there and I was able to
5:01 get him up to a maximum of five
5:03 instruments so I'm not sure if there's
5:05 any more than that but I also tested the
5:07 limitations of the interactions be it
5:09 good or evil during some of the side
5:12 quest for example during zenobia's quest
5:13 to bring back her gobstones you can
5:15 choose to either give them back to her
5:17 or keep them for yourself when giving
5:19 them back the game makes you believe
5:22 this is a real consequence as following
5:24 her reveals she will indeed go to the
5:26 main Courtyard and even start playing
5:28 with the Gob Stones right in front of
5:30 you I did test the liit of this and
5:32 disappointingly enough she does the
5:33 exact same thing with the evil
5:36 consequence as well you can even see the
5:38 Gob Stone still in your inventory while
5:40 she pulls out six more that she plays
5:42 with as if she never needed you in the
5:44 first place so I guess that's just the
5:47 limitation other similar ones exist with
5:49 most other side quests around the castle
5:52 that let you hold onto items from NPCs
5:53 like for example in the case of the
5:56 venomous Valor where it doesn't matter
5:58 if you choose to help Duncan hob house
6:00 or not he still ends up being in the
6:02 same area in the castle in both
6:05 situations at the end of it he just is
6:07 slightly pissed at you because you did
6:09 not help him strangely enough this
6:10 leaves some of these items in your
6:12 inventory but there doesn't seem to be
6:14 any actual gameplay purpose for them
6:16 even in the room of requirement it would
6:19 have been nice maybe to be capable of
6:21 using them as props or decorations in
6:24 one way or another however missions that
6:26 do let you negotiate or request a higher
6:28 price for your troubles should always be
6:30 picked if you want to maximize your
6:32 rewards even if those characters might
6:35 be temporarily mad at you for example in
6:37 the Quest for the Lost Astro La you can
6:39 choose to ask for an extra compensation
6:40 which will provide you with some extra
6:42 money early on on top of the usual
6:45 reward others later on such as the
6:47 delivery quest for Mr Pippen can give
6:48 you even more money than that almost
6:51 doubling your gallion reward in this
6:54 case from 300 all the way to 500 with no
6:56 real gameplay repercussions but probably
6:58 the most significant consequences will
7:01 happen during sebastians in the shadow
7:03 chain of side missions which don't just
7:05 affect the learning of the unforgivable
7:07 curses but also what happens to him in
7:09 the final quest for example the
7:12 unforgivable curses can still be learned
7:13 even after initially declining the
7:16 options during its respective Quest but
7:18 only as long as you do it before the
7:21 entire Quest chain is done or if you did
7:23 not decide to send Sebastian away during
7:26 the final mission until the very last
7:28 interaction in the very last mission the
7:30 only big decision ision you'll take
7:32 during these moments are to learn or not
7:34 the unforgivable curses which will only
7:36 affect if you have access or not to
7:39 using them having access to these will
7:41 not have any bearing on the main story
7:43 nor how other characters perceive you
7:45 your friendship and even dialogues with
7:47 both Sebastian and ominus will not have
7:50 any long-term effects either no matter
7:52 if you choose to cast them on them or
7:54 not or to learn them or not the only one
7:57 that might have a slight momentary
8:00 effect is during in the shadow of this y
8:02 final confrontation with ominus as
8:04 you're about to leave with the Relic
8:05 depending who you side with and
8:08 depending if you previously accepted to
8:10 learn Imperial or not can have slightly
8:13 different outcomes for example if you
8:15 chose to learn the spell you can go with
8:16 the second option which will suggest
8:19 ominous that you can cast Imperial on
8:21 him which will make him get out of the
8:23 way so you can leave the catacomb but
8:25 you can reach the exact same outcome
8:27 even if you did not previously decide to
8:30 learn Imperial but opted for the
8:31 dialogue that suggest using it on
8:34 ominous to save his friendship with
8:36 Sebastian the only change here is that
8:38 now the game gives you a second chance
8:41 to learn the spell once declining it the
8:43 first time during the same Mission and
8:45 of course there's also the non-invasive
8:47 first option which eventually convinces
8:50 ominus without ever having to cast
8:52 Imperial on him that escaping with the
8:54 Relic is for the higher good which he
8:57 reluctantly agrees to but the end of the
8:59 mission is pretty much the exact same
9:01 but the biggest decisions come during
9:03 the quest called in the shadow of Faith
9:05 towards the end which immediately starts
9:07 with two options that will completely
9:09 alter the post-ending interaction that
9:12 you have with ominus and Sebastian so by
9:14 picking the option to not turn in
9:16 Sebastian this is the only way in which
9:18 you can ensure that you will remain
9:20 friends with him and he continues to
9:23 stay as a student at Hogwarts this is
9:25 also the only way in which the game led
9:27 to access the unforgivable curses once
9:29 more assuming that you previously
9:31 decided to refuse learning them by
9:34 simply talking with him after the post
9:36 Story Mission is done heading over in
9:38 the uncraft where you can ask him to
9:40 teach them to you once more meanwhile if
9:42 you go with the option to turn him in
9:44 this will be considered the bad ending
9:46 for him resulting in immediately
9:47 terminating your friendship with
9:50 Sebastian which is also sent to ask a
9:52 ban upon contacting the ministry of
9:54 magic as a result he will no longer be
9:56 present at the school nor can he be
9:59 accessed for the unforgivable curses
10:01 completely locking you out if you chose
10:03 not to learn them but before moving on
10:06 with the main story possible endings
10:07 there's one smaller decision that you
10:10 can make along the way involving this
10:12 cut scene during the sand Baker's trial
10:14 where you have to tame the grab horn and
10:17 get it as a mount so if you choose the
10:19 option upon defeating it to kneel this
10:21 will make your character put the one
10:23 down which results in a more friendly
10:25 interaction with the creature once its
10:28 charge is over however the attack option
10:30 will instead subdue the creature by
10:32 doing one final attack showing dominance
10:35 from which gameplay-wise will have the
10:37 exact same effect this choice is purely
10:39 for role playing reasons it's just that
10:41 the cuts scene that play is slightly
10:43 different and finally this brings us to
10:46 the main story options as I've said big
10:48 spoiler warning so if you didn't reach
10:51 that point yet just save this video for
10:53 later but as I've said there's two
10:55 possible outcomes a good or an evil
10:58 ending luckily there's only one final
11:01 dialogue that will affect which one of
11:03 these endings you get when talking with
11:05 Professor fig right before the fight
11:07 against ramrock in the mission called
11:09 the final repository so when question
11:11 about what we intend to do with the
11:13 Forgotten magic if you choose I intend
11:16 to keep it contained here this will
11:18 ensure that you get the good ending no
11:20 matter which of the following dialogue
11:22 options you get after this this will
11:24 also change the final cut scene that you
11:26 have in this case you get help from
11:29 Professor fig in your attempt to contain
11:31 the power upon defeating renrock as a
11:33 result this will unfortunately not go
11:36 well for him to say the least which ends
11:38 up with this scene giving him back his
11:40 wife's wand on the other hand you can
11:42 get with the evil Ending by choosing the
11:45 second option I intend to open it
11:47 whichever of the two options you pick
11:49 with the exception of the one you're
11:51 right will both end up with fig quite
11:53 literally getting offed in a split
11:56 second right in front of you after that
11:58 dialogue was picked of course with the
12:00 two final scenes also lacking the postf
12:02 fight interaction with him as he's now
12:04 pretty much gone and his body can no
12:07 longer be found also not worthy that
12:09 your evil self for some reason seems to
12:11 be more capable of containing all that
12:13 power alone though this will not provide
12:16 anything special gameplay wise after the
12:18 post story credits and this pretty much
12:20 concludes all of the biggest or most
12:21 important decisions and their
12:23 consequences that you can take in
12:25 hogwart's Legacy as always thanks so
12:26 much for watching and I'll see you guys
