0:02 Chat PT has so many hidden tricks that
0:04 almost nobody uses. So, in this video,
0:07 I'll put together a list of my top 12
0:08 all-time favorites. Some of them are
0:11 actually brand new, so you could get a
0:16 The first one is you could actually get
0:19 Chat GPT to remember your writing style,
0:22 but for every single and different use
0:24 case. So, instead of giving it a custom
0:26 instruction in the account setting to do
0:27 that, I'm going to show you this other
0:29 trick here. So, here's how I'm going to
0:31 use it. First, I'm going to ask Chat GPT
0:33 to analyze a piece of writing. This is
0:35 going to be email first. And I'm just
0:37 going to say analyze this for tone,
0:40 style, format, and reading level. Now,
0:43 I'm going to paste an email that I wrote
0:46 myself. Now, Chat PT understands how I
0:47 like to write emails based on a
0:49 different tone, style, format, and my
0:51 reading level, and anything else you
0:53 wanted to analyze it for. Here's the key
0:56 part. Now remember my writing style for
0:58 emails to my team specifically and store
1:01 this to memory. So anytime I ask you to
1:03 write an email to my team, use this
1:07 information. Now this is only the way I
1:08 write emails to my team. This is the
1:10 tone I use for that. When I write to
1:12 clients, it's going to be a different
1:14 tone. So now you could see it's updated
1:17 its memory with that set of instruction.
1:19 And now if I ask it to write an email to
1:21 my team, it uses that memory to write
1:23 this email. So I don't have to have
1:26 prompts back and forth. And the key with
1:28 this is now I could do it the same for
1:30 when I write a blog post or when I write
1:33 a YouTube title and when I write emails
1:35 to clients or anyone else and have
1:37 separate memories for that. So it will
1:40 pull in that information every single
1:41 time I ask it to write something new and
1:44 knows my tone, my writing style, the
1:46 reading level for just about anything
1:47 that I'm going to write with without
1:49 setting up any custom instructions. Next
1:52 on our list, Chatt could also send you
1:54 daily or weekly reminders. Each morning
1:56 at 8 a.m., send me a report that has
1:59 three new updates in AI. Focus on
2:00 updates from major companies first.
2:03 OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic. Now, this
2:05 creates a task for itself. So, every
2:07 morning, it will send you a reminder and
2:09 you could turn on desktop notifications.
2:11 So, it'll just notify you right on your
2:13 desktop. Now, these could be paused,
2:15 deleted, edited, and they have a whole
2:17 page for scheduling things. So any type
2:20 of reminder requiring web access or not
2:22 web access, it could do that for you
2:24 right inside of chat GPT. The next one I
2:27 wanted to show you is inside of chat GPT
2:29 projects, which have become probably my
2:32 favorite ways to use chat GPT. So with
2:34 projects, you could basically organize
2:37 things into contained categories. So I
2:39 have one where all my script writing
2:41 takes place or any type of AI prompts I
2:44 have I have stored here. So what you
2:45 could do is when you create a new
2:47 project, it has a hidden setting right
2:49 here. You could click this gear icon
2:52 here and it lets you create something
2:55 called project only memory. So these
2:58 projects can only have access to their
3:00 own memory. So any chat you have, any
3:02 custom instructions you have inside of
3:05 this project, that's all the project is
3:07 able to see. So that keeps things very
3:10 contained. I do this all the time when I
3:12 just want the project to look into my
3:14 files that I've uploaded as its
3:16 knowledge base. Instead, if you have it
3:18 on default, this will access your
3:21 memories from outside of chat. So, it
3:23 will just know everything about you that
3:25 is based on your accountwide
3:27 information. And that option cannot be
3:29 changed after you create a project. But
3:30 inside of every project, you could also
3:32 add your set of custom instructions
3:34 here. You could also add any type of
3:36 knowledge base to this project too. So
3:38 in this case it makes sense to add your
3:41 files here. Make it self-contained. So
3:42 this becomes a central knowledge base
3:44 and doesn't pull anything from your
3:46 previous conversations outside of this
3:48 project. Now the next one is a recent
3:50 upgrade which is a big upgrade to chat
3:52 GPT personalization. So let me go to my
3:54 settings here. And you have this
3:57 personalization tab. And I already have
3:59 my custom instructions that I've used
4:01 for a long time. But a lot of people
4:03 actually have not set up any custom
4:05 instruction. So to make it easier,
4:07 they've included a bigger list of things
4:10 you could choose from. So these like
4:12 professional, friendly, candid, these
4:15 will change the tone and how chat GPT
4:17 responds to you at the account level,
4:19 which makes it really, really useful.
4:21 Now, I recommend you combine this with
4:23 what I showed you earlier where you give
4:25 it your writing style and your tone for
4:26 different use cases and save that to
4:28 memory. You combine that with these
4:30 custom instructions or any of these
4:32 default option. I think they only had
4:34 like two or three before. Now they have
4:36 a lot more. And once you save these, you
4:38 don't have to prompt it every time to
4:40 talk in a friendly tone, right? It knows
4:42 how to do that. And it combines that
4:45 with your custom instructions as well as
4:46 the about you section. So you could tell
4:49 it different things about you as well
4:51 here. So if you haven't set up
4:53 personalization, I definitely recommend
4:55 it. At the very least, pick one of
4:57 these. But if you really want to get
4:58 this dialed in, set up a custom
5:00 instruction and fill out the about you
5:02 section, too. Now, the next one is chat
5:05 GPT temporary chats. And it's an icon
5:07 right up here. So, if you turn this on,
5:10 memory gets disabled for this chat. And
5:12 it also doesn't appear in search
5:14 history. Now, I hardly used this before
5:15 because I didn't really mind if it was
5:17 in chat history. But the memory part is
5:19 actually a big deal because if you're
5:21 having a conversation or if you're
5:23 running a scenario that actually
5:25 shouldn't be remembered or affect your
5:26 accounts, well, this makes a lot of
5:29 sense to do, the memory is disabled, so
5:32 it won't affect your accounts. This next
5:33 one is super helpful. It's actually a
5:35 company knowledge base that comes with
5:37 the business plan. So, here in my
5:39 business plan, you'll see this tab right
5:41 here. So if you click on it, it will
5:43 pull in things from your company
5:45 knowledge base which is really really
5:48 useful. So for example, I gave it access
5:50 to our Dropbox. We also gave it access
5:53 to our Google calendar. So it knows our
5:55 schedule here. Our team's plan has
5:57 multiple people on it. So we could all
6:00 share that information here in a central
6:02 location. And you could also give it
6:04 access to your Gmail, your box, and they
6:06 have ton of different connectors. I
6:07 mean, it's kind of a big list of
6:09 connectors that you could give it access
6:11 to. We're actually going to add Slack
6:12 next year. So, it could pull in from
6:14 Slack conversation. That's what we use
6:17 here in our team. Any of these options,
6:19 Box, GitHub, HubSpot, all those are
6:21 available, too. And then every time you
6:24 have a conversation, it will go and look
6:26 into your company knowledge base in
6:29 addition to everything else. So, it can
6:31 combine web search with your internal
6:33 knowledge base here. So, if you do have
6:36 a business plan, this is hugely helpful.
6:38 And since we're talking about using Chat
6:41 GPT's company knowledge base, if you

7:25 showed you because it helps you get more
7:27 out of your knowledge base. It asks chat
7:29 GPT to provide recommendations for
7:31 improving internal knowledge sharing and
7:35 communication along with any specific
7:37 challenges you want to include. You can

7:48 Now the next one is also under settings.
7:51 It's actually apps and connectors. So
7:53 Chat GPT could connect to lot of
7:55 different apps right inside of Chat GPT.
7:57 Now, these are not the ones like I
7:59 showed you where it connects to a
8:00 knowledge base. These are actually
8:02 totally different. So, it says browse
8:06 apps. So, all these apps are available
8:08 inside of Chat GPT. So, it's a little
8:09 bit like the app store. You have a
8:11 phone, you have lots of different apps.
8:12 You could open those apps. They do
8:14 different things for you. Well, this
8:16 browse app section lets you kind of do
8:18 the same thing, but inside of chat GPT
8:20 and they recently rolled out new ones
8:23 from Adobe, but this is a huge list of
8:25 different apps here. So, this is how it
8:27 works. All you have to do is type in the
8:29 atmention sign inside of chat and it'll
8:31 pull in pretty much all these apps that
8:34 are available and basically get them to
8:36 do things for you. So, you could use
8:38 Photoshop. All these Adobe products
8:40 recently just got rolled into it. And
8:42 then it links directly to Adobe
8:44 Photoshop on the web for example where
8:46 you could do further editing. Here, I'll
8:49 use Khan Academy. And let's see if he
8:50 knows anything about writing basic
8:52 expressions, a math problem that Khan
8:54 Academy is really good at. and it's
8:56 connected to Khan Academy. And there it
8:58 is. We got ourselves a math problem here
9:00 that we could try to solve. And you
9:02 could also have a follow-up chat here
9:05 using Chat GPT. But the ability to pull
9:07 in all these different kinds of apps
9:09 that do unique things that chat GPT just
9:12 does not do makes chat GPT a whole lot
9:15 more useful.
9:17 Now, the next one on my list is actually
9:20 part of these custom GPTs here. So let
9:22 me jump into one that I created a while
9:25 ago and this is something that a lot of
9:27 people don't know. So you can actually
9:30 change which AI model these are being
9:33 powered by. So I had created a lot of
9:37 these with chatgpt 40 but you can now
9:39 change those. So if I go to edit this
9:43 custom GPT here I could right here
9:45 recommend a different model. So when
9:47 people use it, they don't use the old
9:49 chat GPT models and instead, let's say
9:52 they use GPT 5.2 thinking, which right
9:54 now is the best model available. I'm
9:56 sure if you watch this later, they're
9:58 going to have a new one, but usually you
10:00 want the latest model to power these.
10:03 And then every time I've done this, I've
10:05 gone and changed my custom instructions
10:07 because some of the older custom
10:09 instructions that work well with 40 no
10:12 longer work with the five models. And
10:14 then when you use it as a user, if you
10:16 are sending these to other people or if
10:18 you find any of them here, well, you
10:20 could also choose a different model here
10:22 too. So if they didn't recommend a
10:24 model, it just picks one for you, but
10:26 you could force it to use a thinking
10:29 model when you're using this custom GPT.
10:30 By default, a lot of them don't use a
10:33 thinking model. So the answer is just
10:35 decent. But if you turn on the thinking
10:37 model, sometimes the answer out of these
10:39 GPTs become a lot better. The next one I
10:41 wanted to show you is you could actually
10:43 create several different images using
10:46 the image model inside of chat GPT. So
10:48 you don't have to do that one at a time.
10:50 Before you used to have to wait till an
10:52 image got created. But now you could
10:55 literally send out different images. And
10:58 just like that I got all four just back
11:00 to back to back. And the new image model
11:03 inside of chat GPT is a lot faster. It's
11:05 actually four times faster than the last
11:07 image model they had. So this becomes a
11:10 whole lot more useful now by typing in
11:12 multiple prompts and instead of waiting
11:14 for one image at a time, you get all of
11:15 them here back to back and you could
11:17 just download or edit them from here.
11:19 Now the next one actually creates little
11:21 mini apps for you. So if you press the
11:23 plus sign and you turn on the canvas
11:26 mode here, canvas mode can do a lot of
11:28 different things. I can make an entire
11:30 video on how to use canvas mode. But for
11:32 this use case, I'm going to ask you to
11:34 make me a little to-do list app. And
11:36 this will follow pretty detailed prompts
11:38 too. So with canvas mode turned on when
11:40 you send out a prompt like this, it
11:42 actually goes to a whole different mode
11:44 and it starts writing code for you,
11:46 which again you don't have to read or
11:48 worry about because you'll get this
11:50 preview option as soon as this content
11:52 gets generated. And there it is. It's
11:55 created this whole functioning app for
11:58 us. Make a video. Let's add that. There
12:00 it is. So this is just one example, but
12:02 it could actually create really useful
12:04 things for you. And you could also share
12:06 these here. You could make different
12:08 sections for your website and embed them
12:10 in your website. I do this all the time.
12:12 It's one of my favorite things inside of
12:14 Chat GPT. Now, the next one is actually
12:17 combining deep research with your own
12:18 knowledge base. So, if you press the
12:20 plus sign here, you could use deep
12:21 research. And if you haven't used this
12:23 before, it's one of the best things in
12:26 AI. It's a agent that goes and searches
12:29 sometimes 100 200 websites to respond to
12:32 a single request here and gives you a
12:34 really detailed sometimes 20page report
12:37 with sources. But by itself it's pretty
12:39 good. When it becomes really good is if
12:42 you click this and you give it access to
12:45 other things. So I could give it access
12:46 to everything inside of my Dropbox for
12:48 example which again we have ton of
12:50 different information there or I could
12:52 connect it to other apps. Remember, you
12:53 could connect it to all kinds of
12:55 different apps here with these different
12:58 connectors. So then, not only will it be
13:00 able to search the web and work like
13:02 deep research has always worked, it will
13:05 also be able to pull in and combine
13:07 different sources of information you
13:10 have internally at your company or at
13:12 your work, making it a whole lot more
13:14 useful. Okay, this next one is a little
13:16 bit newer, but anytime you talk to chat
13:18 GPT, especially if you have a paid
13:20 version of chat GPT, with the free
13:21 version, this does happen in the
13:23 background with with the paid version,
13:26 it chooses the latest GPT model,
13:28 whatever that ends up being, and then it
13:31 uses auto, which means it automatically
13:33 decides, should I instantly respond or
13:35 should I take my time to think about it.
13:37 I think at least right now with this
13:39 version of chat GPT, it doesn't do that
13:41 good of a job. So, what I've done is
13:44 I've always changed mine to be on the
13:46 thinking model, unless I'm ju just doing
13:48 basic web searches. I switch it back.
13:50 But here's where it gets really good.
13:52 Click this option right here. And you
13:55 could change it to extended. What's the
13:57 best way to market a local music venue?
13:59 Give me only the best option. Typically,
14:00 if you just have it to auto, it will
14:02 answer you almost instantly because it
14:04 has this type of stuff in its knowledge
14:07 base. But this one will take time to
14:09 figure out exactly what the best answer
14:11 is here. And in this case, it
14:13 recommended building an email and
14:16 messaging list for our market. So, this
14:18 one actually answered us pretty quickly.
14:20 Sometimes with the extended thinking, it
14:22 will take a whole minute. But let me
14:24 show you one other thing. I just jumped
14:26 into a different account that I paid
14:29 $200 a month for. Definitely not for
14:32 everyone, but if you have very critical
14:35 work here and you want the very best of
14:38 the best, you could actually do a couple
14:39 of things. You could turn on the
14:42 thinking model, but with that plan, you
14:44 get this other one called heavy even
14:47 longer analysis for hardest questions.
14:49 So, this one actually has saved me a
14:51 couple of times where my paid plan, my
14:54 teams and business plan, those plans did
14:56 not quite give me the answer I was
14:58 looking for with the extended version.
15:00 On top of that, with the business plan
15:02 and the pro plan, you also get this pro,
15:06 which is research grade GPT model, which
15:08 they've had for a while now. And then
15:09 you could combine that with extended
15:12 thinking, and that literally will give
15:14 you the best possible answer in AI right
15:17 now. if you combine the pro version with
15:19 this one. Now, the business plan, which
15:21 is $30 a month, also comes with a little
15:25 bit of a pro version here, but the $200
15:27 plan gives you a lot more usage out of
15:30 the pro version. Again, probably not for
15:32 95% of the people, but the 5% of people
15:36 that really heavily use Chat GPT can
15:39 benefit from combining either the pro
15:40 version with extended thinking or the
15:42 thinking version with the heavy
15:46 thinking, really pushing Chat GPT to its
15:48 full capabilities. Now, I got one really
15:50 useful bonus one for you that probably
15:52 everyone's going to be able to use. So,
15:53 a lot of times you're having a
15:55 conversation with Chat GPT. Let's say
15:57 you're brainstorming an idea. Well, now
15:58 you could go left with the idea or you
16:00 could go right. Well, which one do you
16:02 choose? Well, you don't have to choose.
16:04 You could click these three dots in the
16:07 conversation and branch that into a new
16:10 chat. So, now you take one direction
16:12 with this chat and you take a whole
16:13 different direction with the other chat.
16:15 Now you have two chats that are saved.
16:18 And I recommend now you save those to a
16:20 project. So that project will know
16:22 everything about what's going on in a
16:24 big picture. So if you start a third
16:26 chat, that project will know that and
16:27 all you have to do is press the three
16:29 dots for that, move it to a project,
16:30 create a new project, move those
16:32 conversations there, and that project
16:35 will have all the context of everything
16:37 about this topic moving forward. So
16:39 that's my hidden list right now of chat
16:41 GPT tricks that should save you a ton of
16:42 time. Hopefully some of those were new
16:45 to you. And I'll share one more resource
