0:01 We're back with our best office chair
0:04 picks for every budget. Ryan is 5'9. I
0:07 am 6 foot and Robert today is 6'3,
0:10 sometimes 6'2. I've got picks for 200,
0:14 300, 500, $700, a,000 and a no budget
0:16 pick lined up from everybody. Let's jump
0:17 into it. Ryan, what do you got at 200
0:19 bucks? 200 bucks is probably the most
0:21 difficult price point to shop in just
0:23 cuz there's not a lot of great options.
0:24 Greg has actually brought in a ton of
0:26 new chairs recently, so I've got a
0:27 chance to try them all. I'm sticking
0:29 with the triedand-true. I still do not
0:30 think that there's a chair out there
0:33 that can take the throne over the TOA.
0:35 It has the most comfort still out of all
0:36 the chairs that were brought in. I do
0:38 think it has the best recline. The
0:40 headrest isn't the best compared to a
0:41 couple options that he brought in, but
0:43 it still has two-way adjustable lumbar
0:44 support. The build isn't the highest
0:45 end, but it's the case with all the
0:48 chairs for under $200. So, for comfort
0:49 adjustability, I'm sticking with the
0:51 TOA. I am super excited because I got a
0:53 diamond in the rough that I found and I
0:55 I'm surprised that you didn't pick this
0:59 one. But the Proto Arc, it is now $169
1:01 and it absolutely blew my mind. It's got
1:02 pretty much everything that you would
1:05 want in a chair that is sub 200 bucks,
1:06 including a seatpad that I can actually
1:09 sit in for longer than an hour or two.
1:11 I've actually sat in it for now two
1:12 weeks straight. It's got a 3D headrest,
1:14 depth, height, pivot adjustments, nice
1:16 and big. It's got a nice comfortable
1:17 seat. The arms aren't 4D, but they're
1:19 nice and wide, so I actually fit in it.
1:20 The one thing I'll say, there's like
1:22 this rim around the edge of this front
1:23 seat pan that's okay, but again, it's
1:25 only$169 bucks. So, I'm going there for
1:27 my first change from the $200 pick. I
1:29 think it's been to COA for years. I'm
1:31 also going to go with that Protoarch
1:33 EC200. For me, it's really I don't feel
1:35 huge in the chair. A lot of times when
1:36 we have these lower price chairs, they
1:38 just don't fit me well and I just feel
1:40 like I'm the seat's too small. The arms
1:41 don't fit me right. But with the
1:43 Protoarch, I have enough seat depth.
1:44 It's a little bit on the wider side,
1:45 too. And with the arms, kind of like
1:46 Greg said, they don't have the
1:48 adjustability that some of the other
1:50 chairs have. But the wide pads mean they
1:52 do fit me pretty well and I find that
1:53 they're low enough too. Sometimes those
1:55 chairs arms don't go low enough. So I do
1:57 like the recline on this chair. The one
1:58 problem is it does have a big gap from
2:00 the arms for the back rest. So your arms
2:01 kind of fall in there when you're
2:03 reclining back. But for me, this is
2:05 easily that best chair under $200.
2:08 >> I'm going to take the $300 pick. I've
2:09 actually recently brought in all of the
2:10 Colony chairs. Just like Ryan said, I've
2:12 brought in a ton of new chairs that are
2:14 kind of like sub 300 bucks. And even
2:15 with those new chairs in the building,
2:17 I'm still going to go with the OG, the
2:19 Atlas pick. Now, I think it is still the
2:22 most well-rounded pick sub $300. It's
2:23 got the most comfortable seat. I like
2:25 the back rest a lot. The lumbar is a
2:26 little jabby and those armrests slide
2:27 around a little bit too easy. There's
2:29 some things that you could definitely
2:30 fix, but again, for under 300 bucks,
2:32 this one is really, really well done.
2:33 I'm going to follow Greg here with the
2:35 same pick. So, I really still like that
2:37 Atlas a lot, even after trying a lot of
2:38 new chairs. And for me, it's really how
2:40 the back rest hits my back. It has that
2:42 built-in lumbar curve. Personally, I
2:43 don't even necessarily need that
2:45 additional lumbar piece. It has enough
2:47 just built into the frame. So, for me,
2:49 the Atlas almost takes a little step
2:51 back when it comes to value because I'd
2:53 almost have a hard time picking between
2:55 that EC200 and the Atlas.
2:57 >> That's something I considered too
2:58 myself. So, I actually have the same
2:59 pick and the one thing for me that
3:01 really stood out is seeing all these new
3:02 chairs come in, especially the entire
3:04 Calami lineup or Colam, whatever,
3:06 however the pronunciation is. The Atlas
3:08 stands out so much and all of the other
3:10 ones are within like 1020 bucks. They're
3:12 all within like 200 to $300. And it just
3:16 makes me wonder why Colony charges 289
3:18 or 79 bucks for the chair because it is
3:20 a crazy good deal. The build quality,
3:21 it's so much better than all of the
3:22 other chairs. The recline is much
3:24 deeper, a three-way adjustable headrest.
3:26 It just has so much more to offer than
3:27 the other chairs doing in the same price
3:28 range. So, for me, this is an absolute
3:30 no-brainer. If you hate these chairs and
3:32 want some suggestions for some new ones,
3:33 click the link in the description. We
3:34 have our office chair cheat sheet. For
3:36 that $500 range, I'm going to go with
3:37 the Euroch Vera. This has been my pick
3:39 for a while. And really kind of like
3:41 that Atlas chair. It has that curve in
3:43 the back rest. It's just built into the
3:45 frame. Just fits me perfectly. And we
3:46 found that it actually fits a wide range
3:48 of users really well. It also has a nice
3:50 cushioned seat. Definitely better than
3:52 that Atlas chair. All the materials are
3:54 just a little bit nicer. So that's what
3:55 you get when you step up into that price
3:57 range. Only problem I have is the arms
3:59 don't quite go low enough for me, which
4:01 kind of pushes my shoulder up, but it's
4:02 still a great chair at 500.
4:03 >> Yeah, I'm right there with Robert. It's
4:05 really tough to find something in this
4:06 price range to knock the Vera out of its
4:08 spot. We've had a ton of chairs in here.
4:09 You're not going to find a chair that
4:11 has a seat that's as comfortable, a back
4:12 rest that's as comfortable, and a build
4:13 like you're going to get out of the
4:15 Vera. I almost thought about going with
4:16 the Atlas here, kind of like they
4:18 thought about flopping their picks with
4:20 the $100 pick and the $300 pick, just
4:21 cuz the Atlas does have that headrest
4:22 for those of you that are looking for
4:24 more of like a home office environment,
4:25 that might be a little bit better for
4:27 you. But the seat comfort on the Vera is
4:29 so much more than the Atlas that I just
4:30 have to go with the Vera here because I
4:31 do think it has one of the most
4:32 comfortable seats I've ever used. So,
4:34 Vera all day for me. Yeah, as much as
4:35 you want to maybe pick a different pick,
4:36 the only thing I could see is maybe
4:38 going like with something used,
4:40 refurbished here. But if you're going to
4:42 stick with new, I think that honestly at
4:43 500 bucks and below, the Vera still
4:45 holds the spot for the most comfortable
4:47 chair at that price point brand new in a
4:49 box. Again, pretty much echoing what
4:50 these guys have said. I think it's all
4:52 spot on. I would say one weakness with
4:54 this besides the arm height for Robert
4:56 is going to be actually the firmness of
4:57 the arms. They're just a little bit too
4:59 firm. So, if you don't like that, that
5:00 might be a dealbreaker. But the seat,
5:02 back rest, all really, really good. And
5:04 it's got an excellent warranty, too. All
5:05 right, for $700 and less, this is where
5:07 I think you need to get into an area
5:08 like Greg just touched on with the
5:09 refurbished market. I think it's really,
5:11 really difficult to find kind of a
5:14 number one go-to pick in the 500 to 7,
5:16 even $800, $900 range. So, for me, if
5:18 you're looking for the best value, you
5:19 can get chairs like the Herman Miller
5:22 Aeron, Embody, Leap, AMIA, Zodie, Fern,
5:25 all of those chairs for 50 to 75% off on
5:26 the user refurbished market, depending
5:28 on how quality the refurb is. So, that's
5:29 probably where I would lean to. If
5:31 you're looking for a brand new chair,
5:33 then my pick would be the OM Yes chair
5:34 just because it has great comfort
5:35 throughout. The armrests are amazing.
5:37 It's very affordable right now. You can
5:38 add on a headrest if you're looking for
5:39 that home office environment. I know a
5:41 lot of people want headrests. So, that's
5:42 where I'd go in a new market. I think
5:44 the hard thing here is is that finding a
5:47 chair pick at that $700 that is going to
5:49 be really comfortable and also have a
5:50 good warranty and fit a wide range of
5:52 people is going to be tough. The OM is
5:54 just this chair that no one really talks
5:56 about, but it is a really solid offering
5:58 at that price. You get this supportive
6:00 seat that's not too thick. It's not too
6:01 thin. The back rest is great. And it's
6:03 got an A tier headrest. It's one of the
6:05 most comfortable headrests I've used. If
6:07 you like big arm pads, it's got those,
6:08 too. So, it's going to be fully
6:10 supportive. And it's the only chair that
6:11 I've picked that actually has a height
6:12 adjustable back rest, which kind of
6:14 helps to fine-tune where that fits in in
6:16 the curve of your back. I'm going to
6:17 kind of echo what Ryan said. I really
6:19 like going the route with the refurbish.
6:20 You're getting such good value.
6:22 Specifically, the Leap is what I would
6:23 be looking at. But if you definitely
6:25 were set on going with a new chair, I'd
6:27 be looking at the Hayworth Soji. So,
6:29 you're going to get just great comfort.
6:31 It maybe doesn't have any features that
6:33 stand out like in a major way. But the
6:35 back rest is really nice. You're not
6:36 going to complain about the seat.
6:37 Armrests are right there, too. You just
6:39 won't get that headrest like they said
6:41 with the Yes chair. So, Soji, that would
6:43 be my place to go for a new chair. For
6:45 a,000 bucks, I got to go with my god
6:47 tier Franken chair. It's the Lama and
6:48 it's going to have to come out in a
6:50 refurbished format because of course you
6:52 can't get that's brand new by buying two
6:54 chairs from Steelcase. But I love this
6:56 chair. I made it. That's why obviously
6:58 it's perfect for me, right? AMIA seat
7:00 leap frame. You get the 4D arms on the
7:02 Leap which are incredible. You get the
7:03 flexibility in the back rest on the
7:05 Leap. You also get the amazing lumbar
7:06 support which I think is truly
7:08 unmatched. And then you get the AMIA
7:10 seat on there. And best thing is that
7:12 we've now dropped brand new AMIA seat
7:13 pads. So, even though you got to go
7:15 refurbished, we got a brand new seat on
7:16 there for you that's going to be built
7:18 to the OEM specs of the original. It's
7:19 pretty awesome. And again, you're going
7:21 to come in under the $1,000 mark, but
7:23 this is my perfect pick there at 1,000
7:25 bucks. So, ever since we had the
7:27 Liberovo Omni chair in for testing, I
7:28 have been sitting in it. I'm not going
7:30 to lie. I really have not been switching
7:31 out of it cuz I find it that
7:32 comfortable. It's been about four or
7:34 five months. There's a whole bunch of
7:35 things I love about it. The comfort of
7:37 the seat, the back rest, you really sink
7:39 in just the right amount in my opinion.
7:40 gives you a little bit of flexibility,
7:42 some movement, and I really love this
7:45 headrest. I'd say even S tier headrest.
7:47 Couple small problems. The build quality
7:49 isn't quite there, and I wouldn't trust
7:50 the warranty as much as some of the
7:52 bigger brands. So, for me, you can't go
7:54 wrong with that Omni. I honestly don't
7:55 necessarily need those electronics in
7:57 the chair. So, maybe one day Liberovo
7:59 takes it out, makes the chair a little
8:01 cheaper. So, I went back and forth here.
8:02 I was right there with Robert. I am
8:04 really impressed with the Liberovo
8:05 chair. The easiest way for me to
8:07 describe it is it's the softest firm
8:08 chair that you can find. So, all of the
8:10 high-end ergonomic chairs are going to
8:12 have more of a firm design in the seat
8:13 and back because you don't want to be
8:14 sinking in and compressing your
8:15 vertebrae and your muscles and things
8:17 like that. This has that, but it has
8:19 like this cushion where you just kind of
8:20 sink into it and it's soft throughout
8:22 the headrest, the back rest, the seat.
8:24 It is super super soft. The recline
8:26 range is incredible. Like we're talking
8:28 like racing style chair as flat as it
8:29 goes. I have two concerns with the
8:30 Liberovo and that's why I'm going to go
8:32 with the different pick. My two concerns
8:33 are the seat depth adjustment. You can
8:35 only pick two sizes. It is not depth
8:36 adjustable so you kind of got to fit the
8:39 chair. And two, I don't trust the
8:40 electronics in the chair. It doesn't
8:41 have an amazing warranty, and like
8:42 Robert said, it does have the
8:44 electronics, and if those electronics
8:45 stop working, you're going to lose
8:47 critical functionality in the chair. So,
8:49 I'm not completely sold on the Liberovo
8:51 yet. Only time will tell. So, my pick is
8:53 going to be the OM truly because that is
8:54 a tested chair. We've used it in the
8:56 office a ton. I think it is super
8:58 comfortable. For under $1,000, you're
8:59 getting an amazing back rest. You're
9:01 getting a three-way adjustable headrest.
9:02 The arms are really, really nice on the
9:03 chair, and I like the seat. It's a very
9:05 good build quality with an awesome
9:06 warranty. I don't think you can go wrong
9:07 with the truly. So, that would be my
9:09 pick. So, going to no budget, we're not
9:11 going to look at the price tag. And if
9:12 I'm doing that, I'm going to go with the
9:14 Herman Miller Embody. And let's throw on
9:16 the headrest. I love that Atlas
9:18 headrest. For me, it there's again tons
9:19 of things about this chair I really
9:22 like. The seat is big, wide, has that
9:24 depth adjustment. I can fit on it fine.
9:26 The arms, even though they don't have a
9:27 bunch of adjustability, I'm able to get
9:29 them in a position I really like because
9:31 of how big the pads are. Moving up to
9:33 the back rest, it gives me just the
9:35 right amount of lumbar support. I have
9:36 flexibility. I can move around. And that
9:38 headrest is just S tier coming from
9:40 Atlas. Finally, this chair just looks
9:42 amazing. So, I'd love to see this one
9:43 sitting at my desk. For me, this is a
9:45 no-brainer prick. It's the Steelcase
9:47 Leap all day. I use the Leap everywhere.
9:49 I use it in my home office, my regular
9:50 office, the conference room. I'm sitting
9:52 in it right now. I think this is the
9:54 most well-built, well-designed chair on
9:55 the planet. The one thing that it does
9:57 lack is the headrest. But everything
9:58 else on the chair is so much better than
10:00 any other chair that I've used that I
10:02 just don't care that it doesn't have a
10:03 headrest. and I don't like any of the
10:05 aftermarket third party headrest. I like
10:06 the chair the way that it is with the
10:08 hugely flexible back rest. The arms are
10:10 incredible and the seat is the most
10:11 comfortable seat I've ever used. Not
10:13 only because it has pretty good softness
10:14 and it's a firm sitting experience, but
10:16 it's so flexible. So, you can move in
10:17 the seat as much as you want and it's
10:18 the most well-built chair you're going
10:20 to find. So, I don't think you can go
10:21 wrong with the Leap. Either brand new,
10:23 get it fully decked out and polished,
10:25 whatever, or get a refurbished version
10:27 for half price. So, Leap all day. I just
10:29 got to say, what in the Franken chair is
10:32 this? I found the most ultimate nobudget
10:34 pick that you guys have definitely never
10:36 seen. Robert dropped this on me just the
10:38 other day. It is a Bentley Continental
10:40 GT seat in an office chair. We're
10:43 talking full electronics in this thing.
10:45 Lumbar, you've got the massage. You've
10:47 got the heating, the cooling. It is
10:50 insane. A touchscreen in your armpad for
10:51 only three grand. We're not looking at
10:53 the price tag. But seriously, the only
10:55 downfall is that these are made in
10:57 Ukraine and I can't seem to add it to my
10:59 cart. So, I thought, hey, maybe Be Todd
11:01 should try something. Maybe not that
11:02 extravagant. Is that something? I don't
11:04 know. Let us know in the comments.
