0:13 salutations and greetings ego hackers
0:14 welcome to today's video where we'll be
0:16 discussing the cognitive function known
0:19 as introverted sensing or Si what is
0:21 introverted sensing introverted sensing
0:23 is the function that governs one's
0:25 endurance routine long-term memory and
0:28 internal experience SI users are
0:30 constantly aware of their internal
0:31 Sensations and are more sensitive to
0:34 discomfort hunger and impacts on their
0:36 five senses than SE users
0:40 are SI users want to be strong if
0:41 introverted intuition the function which
0:43 governs desire seeks to be the
0:46 Unstoppable Force then SI users want to
0:49 be the immovable object of all the types
0:51 SI users For Better or For Worse are
0:54 subservient to their routines and habits
0:56 the lower the SI in someone's cognitive
0:58 stack the easier it is to break and
1:00 change habits but by by the same token
1:03 it's harder for them to maintain habits
1:05 the difficulty for an SI user is pushing
1:06 through the initial discomfort of
1:08 forming a new habit as introverted
1:10 sensing is a past focused function SI
1:12 users are most comfortable when dealing
1:14 with the known with habits and memories
1:16 that they have already
1:18 experienced however when they can push
1:19 past the discomfort of creating new
1:21 habits those habits can carry them to
1:23 Great successes how does introverted
1:25 sensing work the first half of
1:28 introverted sensing has to do with Duty
1:30 SI users determine their Duty based on
1:32 what other people want for them
1:33 introverted sensing is tied to
1:35 extroverted intuition through cognitive
1:37 axis cognitive AIS represents how the
1:39 functions communicate with each other so
1:42 all SI users are any users and vice
1:45 versa any is aware of what other people
1:47 want potential Pathways forward and
1:50 possibilities for the future SI users
1:51 gather their sense of Duty and direction
1:53 from what other people want this want
1:55 can be direct such as a parent telling a
1:57 child what they should study in college
1:59 or it can be indirect such as seeing an
2:01 inspir AAL speaker advocate for a
2:04 particular course of Life the key word
2:07 to understand introverted sensing is
2:09 should they seek to understand what
2:11 other people want them to do and then
2:14 decide what their Duty should be of all
2:16 the types introverted sensing users are
2:18 the easiest to obligate the other half
2:20 of introverted sensing is memory
2:22 specifically memory to prepare for and
2:25 navigate the future SI users have the
2:26 best access to an internal source of
2:29 long-term memory the experiences they
2:31 have in life are imprinted onto their
2:32 internal hard drive of introverted
2:35 sensing storage like a memory foam
2:37 pillow experiences imprint themselves on
2:39 the SI user but their memories are
2:41 indented for the long
2:44 term SI users utilize their memory to
2:46 both avoid negative consequences and
2:47 provide flourishing to others through
2:50 the any choices they give to others if
2:52 an SI user was forced through a period
2:54 of intense adversity whether it be an
2:56 ugly divorce or getting through military
2:59 boot camp they can use their memory to
3:01 avoid repeating mistakes and recall what
3:03 worked to replicate success for the
3:05 future introverted sensing is also
3:08 associated with failure because they
3:09 don't have a natural awareness of the in
3:12 the- moment problem solving as SE users
3:15 do an SI user has to rely on what has
3:17 been for them to perform in the present
3:20 the more life experiences an SI user has
3:22 the better their performance becomes SI
3:24 users will figure things out eventually
3:26 in the tortoise and the hair SI users
3:28 are the tortoise and as long as they
3:30 continue to endure and persever Fe they
3:33 will win in the end what are SI users
3:35 seeking SI users seek Comfort strength
3:37 and predictability because they are
3:39 aware of their internal experience they
3:41 want that internal experience to be
3:44 enjoyable Creature Comforts guilty
3:45 pleasures and conveniences are the
3:47 hedonistic half that contrasts with the
3:51 SI users discipline and routine SI users
3:52 view the world through their past and
3:54 when an experience in the past was good
3:56 they want to relive that experience by
3:58 creating the same circumstances in the
4:00 present it can be as simple as buying
4:02 the same cookie dough they ate from last
4:06 week last month or even last decade but
4:07 SI users don't just want pleasures and
4:09 Comforts they want to be strong and
4:11 stable SI users are the source of
4:14 routine and habit among the 16 types
4:16 they Thrive not so much on finding out
4:19 what they want and pursuing it with Fury
4:21 as ni users do but by committing to
4:23 building the routines that allow them to
4:25 maintain endurance and consistency in
4:27 their lives SI users intuitively know
4:30 that their desirability any
4:32 lies in direct proportion to their
4:34 strength SI users who are committed to
4:36 being desirable go out of their way to
4:38 build up their strength they hate to
4:41 feel weak this strength is often built
4:43 up physically through exercise but it is
4:45 also built up by simply sticking to
4:47 routines and embracing new experiences
4:48 that challenge the borders of their
4:50 comfort zone the ultimate strength for
4:53 an SI user is to walk openly into a
4:55 variety of new experiences and
4:57 continually adjust their habits and
4:59 routines so they rise to better success
5:00 and deep deeper fulfillment but the
5:02 heart of an SI user remains on their
5:04 personal experience where they seek to
5:07 enjoy their momentto moment life and
5:08 rarely do they waste the opportunity for
5:11 reward after a Long Day's Work and
5:14 sometimes even without the work how can
5:16 introverted sensors avoid the pitfalls of
5:16 of
5:20 Si first SI users focus on their own
5:21 Comfort can make them ignorant of other
5:24 people's comfort and experience when
5:26 they ignore other people's comfort those
5:27 people are less likely to help them be
5:30 or stay comfortable as users who give
5:31 some concern to other people's
5:33 experiences are less likely to be stuck
5:35 in the ignorant Bliss of their own
5:38 experience The NPS struggle the most
5:39 with this but the sjs still have this
5:42 obstacle to face second SI users are
5:44 easily pulled into circumstances where
5:46 they become a prisoner of their own
5:48 loyalty because they lack an internal
5:50 mechanism to clearly see their own path
5:52 this is especially a problem for the 4
5:54 sjs they rely much more on where they
5:57 have been than where they could be SI
5:59 users can be loyal to the wrong things
6:01 because they go out of their way to be
6:02 desired by others they don't want to
6:04 violate anything that would then make
6:07 them undesirable this can make them
6:09 dmats where they will bend to any desire
6:11 of another person to avoid falling from
6:14 their good graces SI users need to
6:15 embrace the implications of Their Own
6:18 Strength the stronger they become the
6:20 more they can endure and the reason they
6:22 have such powerful memories is to recall
6:24 all the adversity they have survived the
6:27 biggest Pitfall for SI users is risk
6:29 aversion they might have all the
6:31 strength in the world but if they don't
6:33 use it what's the point of being strong
6:35 SI users who Embrace their strength can
6:38 steer courageously into new territory
6:39 and survive to tell the tale of whatever
6:41 Adventures they go on the more
6:44 courageous an SI user becomes the more
6:45 they realize that the strength to find
6:48 their own path was there the whole time
6:49 and the more they put their strength to
6:52 the test the stronger they become if you
