0:02 Hello. Today I'm going to teach you why
0:04 carnivores need a very, very small
0:07 amount of vitamin C, almost none. And
0:08 for you, those of you who only like
0:10 Jubilee videos, those will be out soon,
0:12 okay? Don't worry. And here we have a
0:14 little painting drawn by carnivores
0:17 because humans are and were carnivores.
0:19 They weren't draw weren't drawing uh
0:21 little pictures of broccoli. How How do
0:22 you even draw broccoli? No one knows.
0:25 It's a stupid plant.
0:27 Yeah. Okay, let's go. Requirements and
0:30 competition. Okay, guys. Let's look at
0:33 glucose. Look at vitamin C. You may
0:35 notice they're quite similar. Look at
0:38 that. Wow. They're almost the same. And
0:40 what this means actually is that glucose
0:41 and vitamin C compete for something
0:44 called the glute 4 transporter. Because
0:46 they are so molecularly similar uh to
0:48 get into cells, they both use glute 4.
0:51 Now, what this means for carnivores is
0:53 that when you get rid of glucose from
0:55 the diet, glute 4 is wide open for
0:57 vitamin C. Okay? Okay, so this is the
0:58 first reason why you need a lot less
1:01 vitamin C on a carnivore diet among the
1:02 six next reasons, but this is the first
1:05 reason. And uh yeah, this is pretty
1:07 beautiful how nature works out. When you
1:10 dart pouring sugar down your throat, uh
1:11 you actually need a lot less vitamin C.
1:14 It's pretty beautiful. And in fact,
1:17 guess what? I wouldn't supplement
1:18 vitamin C if I were you on a carnivore
1:20 diet because excess vitamin C actually
1:22 goes into oxylic acid, aka oxali
1:25 oxalates. So here we have the oxidized
1:28 version of vitamin C
1:30 and then guess what both these pathways
1:34 oxylic acid okay and oxalates actually
1:35 and here's an argument against consuming
1:37 any oxalates at all by the way oxalates
1:39 deplete your torine because torine is
1:42 used to detoxify things even heavy
1:44 metals from fish have a lot of torine
1:45 but then some of that will be used to
1:47 detoxify heavy metals like you know
1:51 oysters are full of torine and yeah so
1:53 every time you mega dose vitamin A lot
1:54 of that will go to oxalates which have
1:56 to be detoxified. Not all of them can
1:58 be. This will also deplete your torine.
2:02 Okay. Now, what's interesting is some
2:04 diabetics can actually develop scurvy
2:06 like symptoms due to chronically high
2:08 blood sugar blocking the uptake of
2:11 vitamin C. So, some of these diabetics
2:13 because they have so much glucose in the
2:16 blood, it's blocking the glute 4
2:18 completely. So, they can get scurvy. You
2:20 could be a diabetic shoveling fruit down
2:22 your mouth, but if you have chronically
2:25 high, super elevated blood sugar, guess
2:28 what? You can literally have scurvy
2:29 essentially, at least the symptoms of
2:34 it. Number two, meat contains vitamin C.
2:37 All animal cells, including meat,
2:39 contain vitamin C in the cytoplasm, just
2:41 like human cells, right? So, just
2:43 logically, if you have an animal and you
2:45 kill it, then you eat a pound of that
2:47 animal, that will have vitamin C in it.
2:49 If it didn't, that animal would have
2:51 been dead already. It's an essential
2:53 nutrient. Okay. Now, the FDA usually
2:55 labels meat as having no vitamin C, not
2:56 because it actually has none, but
2:57 because they decide the amount isn't
2:59 worth mentioning, which is arbitrary.
3:00 It's a value judgment statement. It's
3:03 not scientific. And on top of that, many
3:05 nutrient tests were done after removing
3:06 the water, which makes the vitamin C
3:07 content even lower than it actually is
3:10 in fresh meat. Same with torine, etc.
3:12 So, it's important to remember the less
3:14 fresh and cooked meat uh I'm I have
3:16 autism. I can't read properly. Point is,
3:17 the more you cook your meat, the less
3:19 fresh your meat is. The more down here
3:21 it is, the less vitamin C and torine and
3:23 etc. it will have. So if you are going
3:25 to cook your meat, this is the sweet
3:28 spot right there. Historical evidence.
3:31 So in the Napoleonic Wars, soldiers
3:33 developed scurvy on dried biscuits and
3:36 minimal meat. And here we can see a 4K
3:37 image of this happening. This is proof.
3:40 Okay, you can't dispute this. It's in
3:43 4K. Sorry. And Napoleon actually
3:45 slaughtered horses and used fresh
3:48 horsemeat to cure scurvy even when there
3:50 were still carbs in the fresh horsemeat
3:52 a little bit. Here's you can you can
3:55 pause to read. Point is this this was
3:58 kind of a separate thing like with with
4:00 um the ship. This was a bad image
4:03 placement. The point is uh I guess okay
4:04 this is really unorganized. Okay. I'm
4:06 sorry. Let's talk about sailors. Okay.
4:10 That was bad. Okay. Sailors. So officers
4:12 with fresh meat access did not get
4:15 scurvy. Okay, this is important to
4:16 understand. They were not the ones
4:19 getting scurvy. Sailors who ate dried
4:22 biscuits plus some dried salted meat did
4:24 get scurvy and they would eat these
4:26 things called hard tac. This is what
4:27 they were eating. These are the people
4:31 who got scurvy. Okay, it was A
4:33 piece of is what they were eating.
4:36 Okay, next example. Tribes. Again, we
4:38 have the Inuit, the Masai, the Hodza,
4:41 the Kalahari, thriving without scurvy on
4:42 meat-based, very low carb diets,
4:44 especially the Inuit. They literally
4:45 only eat meat most of the year, raw
4:47 meat. They do eat some of the organs,
4:50 some of the blood and the muscle meat,
4:52 and they don't get scurvy. Okay,
4:54 scurvy's done. Collagen amino acid
4:56 pathways. So, vitamin C is often cited
4:58 as needed for collagen synthesis, the
5:02 hydroxilation of proline such lly. Okay.
5:03 Now, carnivore diets supply
5:06 hydroxyproline and lysine directly from
5:08 the protein. I I talk about this a lot,
5:10 okay? Reducing the need for vitamin C.
5:12 Once again, when you're eating meat,
5:14 you're getting hydroxycine, hydro
5:16 hydroxyproline in the diet. You don't
5:18 need to synthesize it. You're also, if
5:20 you eat something like chicken skin or
5:22 other more collagenous cuts of meat, you
5:25 get glycine in the meat as well, okay?
5:27 You get collagen in the food you're
5:28 eating. And you'll notice people's skin
5:31 looks better who actually consume
5:32 collagenous cuts of meat and just meat
5:34 in general, especially raw meat. Other
5:36 nutrients like retinol, vitamin D3, K2,
5:39 MK4 version, support collagen synthesis
5:40 and tissue health, further reducing the
5:43 need for much vitamin C. Awesome.
5:45 Chromium and glute regulation. So
5:47 chromium upregulates glute 4 receptors
5:48 which increases vitamin C uptake into
5:50 cells. And chromium is going to raise on
5:52 on carnivore diet. Again, things like
5:54 oysters, muscle, shrimp, pork, beef,
5:57 eggs all have chromium. Awesome. This
5:58 mechanism can further reassure
6:01 carnivores. Uh
6:02 concerned about vitamin C absorb. Why
6:04 can I not read well? Maybe it's these
6:06 glasses. Yeah, I just put these glasses
6:09 on. It just ruined me. Um now, when is
6:10 there risk of deficiency? If you are
6:11 worried about the vitamin C on a
6:13 carnivore diet, uh eating only
6:15 overcooked or dried meats along with
6:17 pasteurized dairy could be a concern due
6:19 to the vitamin C being deficient in both
6:21 foods accompanied by carbs, especially
6:23 pasteurized milk. People are like, "Bro,
6:25 who cares about the vitamin C in
6:27 pasteurized milk?" Well, you know, I
6:30 kind of care because there is uh
6:31 lactose, which will break down into
6:34 glactose and glucose in milk. No, it
6:35 doesn't break down into fiber. By the
6:37 way, some people are saying that stupid
6:39 No, it doesn't. Uh still uh point is
6:41 is
6:43 these carbohydrates will compete for the
6:45 glute for transporter. They will cause a
6:47 little bit of glycation depending on how
6:49 much you drink. Okay. Point is, you need
6:50 some raw dairy, raw meat, and diets. At
6:53 least rare meat to be okay. All right.
6:55 Practical observations. Many carnivores
6:56 report improved gum or teeth health
6:58 compared to high carb and even
7:00 supplementing vitamin C. Gum bleeding
7:02 common on mixed diets despite
7:03 supplements. It disappears on carnivore
7:06 in the case studies we see. High dose of
7:08 vitamin C supplation is unnecessary and
7:10 potentially harmful with the oxalates.
7:12 Next, this is just a promotion. You may
7:14 end the video if you'd like. But if you
7:16 did find this valuable and you do want
7:17 to improve your looks and health and you
7:19 you like this type of information, you
7:20 generally kind of want to see what I
7:22 have to offer, you can check out the
7:23 school community if you would like to.
7:26 Okay, that's what I built it for. Here
7:27 are all the courses if you're interested.
7:28 interested.
7:30 There you are.
7:32 There's a lot and there's more being
7:34 added. Okay, so yeah, you can look
7:35 through that uh links in the description
7:37 for more info if you do want to improve
7:38 your looks and health. We've gotten
7:40 people a lot of good results in there. I
7:42 have all my health guides just like this
7:44 one and step-by-step guides. So, yeah,
