0:12 salutations and greetings ego hackers
0:14 welcome to today's video where we'll be
0:15 discussing the first of the eight
0:18 cognitive attitudes the hero every
0:20 single person has a hero function the
0:23 hero or the Apex of our personality is
0:25 the leader of our psyche that directs
0:27 most of our daily lives using our
0:30 specific hero function re-energizes us
0:32 for many of us however life
0:34 circumstances or trauma have prevented
0:37 us from using our hero fully perhaps our
0:39 hero wasn't welcomed in our family and
0:41 we had to suppress it to survive despite
0:43 our circumstances though we need the
0:46 hero to be fully ourselves the goal of
0:47 this video is for you to understand what
0:50 specifically you need through your hero
0:52 to become who you are once again it is
0:53 called the hero because it has the
0:56 energy of a hero a heroic kind of energy
0:58 the hero of each of the 16 types is
1:00 powerful and capable our most natural
1:03 skill lies in whatever function our hero
1:05 is expressed through the hero is the
1:06 first of the eight cognitive attitudes
1:09 and reveals our most constant need while
1:11 other functions like the parent inferior
1:13 or Nemesis might need a smaller dose of
1:16 whatever they seek the hero needs it a
1:18 lot and it needs it often ni Heroes for
1:21 example need a lot of freedom constantly
1:22 te Heroes need a lot of status and
1:25 information constantly SI Heroes need to
1:28 feel safe and strong constantly this
1:30 constant aspect of the hero makes it
1:32 incredibly needy however just like a
1:33 bodybuilder consumes thousands of
1:36 calories a day to perform the hero will
1:38 perform to its fullest if its needs are
1:40 being met but what is a cognitive
1:42 attitude here lies the vital distinction
1:44 between a cognitive attitude and a
1:46 cognitive function every type has all
1:48 eight cognitive attitudes like the hero
1:50 parent and child and all eight cognitive
1:52 functions like introverted thinking and
1:54 extroverted sensing but each function
1:56 throughout the 16 types is expressed
1:58 differently depending on which attitude
1:59 it is in one way to think of an attit
2:01 attitude is like a slot that a given
2:03 function is expressed through for
2:05 example the hero is optimistic and has a
2:08 natural can do energy the parent however
2:10 is more pessimistic and responsible
2:12 looking for ways that things could go
2:14 wrong when extroverted Intuition or NE
2:16 is in the hero as is the case for the
2:19 entp and the ENFP they use NE
2:21 optimistically where they are
2:22 enthusiastic about the options and
2:24 possibilities available to others but
2:28 any parent as is the case for inps and
2:30 infps they're cautious about
2:32 possibilities and opportunities any
2:34 parent wants to know how things could go
2:36 wrong while any hero is more focused on
2:37 how things could go right ultimately
2:39 there are eight expressions of each
2:41 function extroverted intuition is
2:43 expressed in eight different ways like
2:46 any child any Nemesis any critic Etc
2:47 meaning that understanding the cognitive
2:50 function itself is not enough we need to
2:51 understand the different ways how a
2:53 function is used experienced and
2:55 expressed through all the 16 types the
2:58 eight hero functions te hero entjs and
3:00 estjs are all about understanding
3:02 beliefs and Gathering knowledge te
3:04 heroes are aware of what others think
3:05 like all extroverted functions
3:07 extroverted thinking hero is heroic
3:09 about Gathering and organizing
3:11 information they're also excellent at
3:12 forming and upholding standards and
3:14 procedures being aware of how others
3:17 think entjs and esjs pursue symbols of
3:19 achievement to gain status they want to
3:21 be regarded or thought of Highly by
3:24 other people TI hero inps and istps are
3:26 keenly aware of what they think TI
3:28 heroes are super fast and accurate
3:30 processors of information if a person
3:32 tells them their opinion the INTP and
3:34 istp are able to dig into that bit of
3:36 information faster than any of the types
3:38 and test an argument for its strength
3:40 and accuracy they sniff out in
3:42 consistencies faster than anyone else
3:44 intps and istps lead with their
3:46 awareness of logical consistency problem
3:48 solving and filtering through their mind
3:51 first asking a TI hero what they think
3:53 will help them respect you quickly Fe
3:56 hero enfjs and esfjs are Naturals at
3:58 healing others pain and lifting them up
4:00 extroverted feeling the function that
4:02 governs empathy compassion and ethical
4:04 awareness makes enfjs and esfjs
4:06 naturally selfless and caring of those
4:08 around them the ENFJ and ESFJ are
4:10 extremely aware of the emotional states
4:12 of others they have a knack for sensing
4:13 when someone is off and helping that
4:15 person walk through their pain to get
4:17 back on track these two types also
4:19 enforce social norms expecting others to
4:21 follow the rules of a family group or
4:25 Society fi hero infps and isfps wear
4:26 their hearts on their sleeves and if
4:29 they don't they desperately want to fi
4:31 hero is sharpened awareness of One's Own
4:33 emotions values and moods infps and
4:36 isfps have a strong sense of what they
4:37 value they don't care much about what
4:40 others value in fact they're naturally
4:42 skeptical of others worth fi hero makes
4:45 infps and isfps also naturally
4:47 expressive fi is one of the strongest
4:48 functions when it comes to motivating
4:51 personal expression whether it be art
4:53 Sports craftsmanship philosophy or
4:55 academics infps and isfps want to make
4:57 their values emotions and moral
4:59 philosophies compelling in all they do
5:02 any hero entps and enfps live in the
5:04 realm of possibilities they see the
5:06 world the opportunities in their daily
5:08 life relationships and others Pursuits
5:10 through the lens of possibility
5:12 everything to the entp and ENFP is about
5:14 potential part of potential however is
5:17 an awareness of consequences entps and
5:19 enfps are the Watchers for avoiding bad
5:22 outcomes but they can also steer others
5:23 toward Prosperity they see the
5:25 consequences of an action before anyone
5:27 else does and they love to set others up
5:29 for a better future but while they are
5:31 natur at helping others Futures they
5:32 struggle with helping their own the
5:35 other aspect of any hero is desirability
5:37 both the ntps and enfps instinctively
5:40 know how to Garner desire from others
5:41 they want to be wanted and go out of
5:43 their way to make themselves as
5:46 desirable as possible an i hero injs and
5:48 INFJs are always thinking about
5:50 possibilities for their own Futures
5:51 while any heroes are aware of
5:53 possibilities for others and I heroes
5:55 are aware of possibilities for
5:57 themselves injs and INFJs are among the
5:59 most Wy of all the types constantly
6:01 searching for the future path they want
6:03 most and considering the steps of how to
6:05 realize that path but ni heroes are
6:08 often extremely willful and often
6:09 obstinate when they're invested in
6:11 pursuing a path they can be very
6:14 difficult to derail or deter but they
6:16 often pursue their path with such Vigor
6:17 that they burn out and when they burn
6:19 out they can become like impotent rag
6:22 dolls this oscillation between being a
6:24 fiery force to be reckoned with and
6:26 being a rag doll is something that the
6:28 inj and infj have to balance in their
6:30 lives they will burn out if they don't
6:32 properly manage the desire of their an
6:35 injs and INFJs will form detailed
6:36 pictures of their path in their mind
6:38 even if they don't know what they want
6:40 they're always searching for It
6:42 ultimately injs and INFJs are looking
6:43 for freedom and are seeking the Liberty
6:45 to create their own path without their
6:48 ni being imposed upon SE hero estps and
6:50 esfps are seeking to deliver the
6:52 Ultimate Experience to those around them
6:54 they are aware of the Comfort level and
6:56 attentiveness of others estps and esfps
6:58 want to command attention from others
6:59 they tend to make other people people
7:01 around them comfortable and at ease but
7:03 SE heroes are also aware of the strength
7:05 and skill of those around them they want
7:06 to build up the strength and competence
7:08 of others so that the people in their
7:10 lives become more capable and more loyal
7:12 ultimately estps and esfps are looking
7:15 for people who will stick around SI hero
7:18 istjs and isfjs are seeking safety
7:20 comfort and strength SI heroes are Duty
7:22 based types motivated by fulfilling the
7:25 role that their Duty requires the istj
7:27 and the isfj are among the most reliable
7:29 of all the types their SI hero makes
7:32 them consistent disciplined and risk
7:34 averse the biggest need for istjs and
7:37 isfjs is good experiences they want to
7:39 gather up good experiences through the
7:40 five senses of their introverted sensing
7:42 awareness the concept of Creature
7:44 Comforts is very important to all the SI
7:47 users but especially the SI Heroes they
7:48 reward themselves for their hard work by
7:50 indulging in activities or food or drink
7:53 that they enjoy the two sides of Si hero
7:57 are one work and then two enjoy SI
7:58 heroes are seeking others who will
8:00 respect their boundaries of safety and
8:02 comfort but it's not just about the
8:04 internal experience of bliss istjs and
8:07 isfjs also want to be strong and they
8:08 engage in habits and activities that
8:10 will increase their strength ultimately
8:12 they want to be strong for other people
8:14 the limitations of the hero the hero is
8:16 our most powerful function but it is not
8:18 without its flaws the biggest flaw of
8:20 the hero emerges when we assume our hero
8:22 can do everything to a hammer everything
8:25 looks like a nail and to Our Heroes ever
8:27 optimistic and confident everything
8:28 seems simple and straightforward when
8:31 any obstacle arises our hero naturally
8:33 reacts I can do that but this is far
8:35 from the case the path of the hero to
8:37 True greatness lies in each of the 16
8:39 types recognizing how their hero is
8:41 limited and that maturity responsibility
8:43 and courage are required for each of our
8:46 toolkits to be expanded yes the hero may
8:48 be each of our hammers but we have all
8:49 of the eight cognitive functions within
8:51 us and unless we seek to develop the
8:54 other seven tools in our psyche the hero
8:56 though powerful will remain immature and
8:58 not very capable this series on the
9:00 eight cognitive attitudes is the first
9:01 layer in understanding how to utilize
9:03 all the tools in our minds and the
9:04 development of the next cognitive
9:06 attitude that of the parent is the most
9:08 important in the hero's maturity and
9:10 ultimately the hero's capability if you
