0:01 if you don't want to be like everyone
0:04 else broke stressed and stuck in a
0:07 NeverEnding cycle you need to focus on
0:10 one thing making your first
0:13 $110,000 when I was 18 I had no money
0:16 and no qualifications but I did have big
0:19 Ambitions instead of worrying about
0:22 making millions I set myself the smaller
0:24 more achievable goal of making 10K now
0:27 as a self-made millionaire I can tell
0:30 you that first $10,000 was the hardest
0:33 to make but once I hit it everything
0:35 changed it wasn't just about the money
0:37 it was about proving to myself that
0:40 making money is a skill and not luck
0:42 once I figured out how to make 10K once
0:45 I knew I could do it again and again and
0:48 eventually scale it into real wealth so
0:50 if I had to start from zero and make
0:53 that first $10,000 all over again this
1:01 steps most people make this way harder
1:03 than it needs to be they jump into
1:05 crypto because their friend made money
1:07 from it or they try day trading because
1:09 some Guru promised it would make them
1:11 Rich the problem is both these methods
1:14 need huge upfront cash reserves and
1:16 crazy luck these aren't side hustles and
1:18 they should never be seen as your main
1:21 source of income instead think of them
1:23 as tools to multiply your money when
1:24 you're just starting out you need
1:26 something that requires a small amount
1:28 of money to begin with and constantly
1:30 puts cash in your pocket every day when
1:32 you strip away all the noise there are
1:35 only really four options I've tried all
1:38 of these and take it from me this choice
1:40 is crucial because some options offer
1:42 higher scalability While others are more
1:45 limited in the same way some generate
1:47 Quick Cash While others take more time
1:50 to make money option one is selling
1:52 in-person services look you've probably
1:54 heard of these before but I'm talking
1:57 personal training delivery driving dog
2:00 walking nail designing barbering
2:02 videography and so many more although
2:05 these Services sound so common and basic
2:07 they're actually one of the fastest ways
2:10 to make money so don't overlook them as
2:12 they give you a way to get paid
2:14 immediately it's also pretty cheap to
2:17 get started all you need some skills and
2:19 maybe a few tools which means you can
2:21 get up and running very quickly if you
2:23 choose to do this then please don't mess
2:26 around trying to build a website run ads
2:29 or make a logo just get out there find
2:31 some customer in your local area deliver
2:34 the service and get paid I even did this
2:37 when I was in my teens I used to walk
2:38 around rich neighborhoods and offer to
2:41 wash people's cars I'd look out for tidy
2:44 Gardens but dirty Vehicles now this
2:46 might sound strange however I was
2:48 betting if they were obsessed over
2:50 keeping their Garden tidy they'd also
2:52 want a nice shiny car on their driveway
2:54 to impress their neighbors because these
2:56 kinds of services are limited by your
2:58 local area it meant my demand was pretty
3:01 up and down some months were busy and
3:04 others I struggled to make anything when
3:06 I was busy I was only able to work with
3:09 one person at a time which kept how much
3:11 I could make in a day so in-person
3:13 services are great to get started with
3:15 but you can quickly feel like they're
3:18 limiting your potential that brings me
3:21 on to option two which is local products
3:23 this is selling things like homebaked
3:26 Goods handmade items artwork fresh
3:29 produce and much more this can be a
3:30 great way to make make money but it's
3:33 not something that happens overnight
3:35 unlike Services where you get paid as
3:37 soon as the job's done selling local
3:39 products takes time I gave this a go
3:41 using some of the profits from my car
3:43 washing business I bought some cheap
3:45 model plane parts then spent some time
3:47 building each one up and then sold them
3:49 to people at the RC flying club which I
3:52 went to on the weekends however I
3:54 quickly realized I was putting a lot of
3:57 work in for very little money this was
3:58 hard for me to come to terms with
4:00 because I really enjoyed building them
4:02 most of my earnings were being eaten up
4:05 by the cost of materials and on top of
4:08 that my customer base was very limited
4:09 as there weren't enough people willing
4:11 to pay what I needed to make it worth my
4:14 time so selling local products can be
4:16 fun and it's definitely worth it if you
4:17 want to make some money from something
4:21 you love option three is global products
4:23 this includes starting a clothing brand
4:26 Drop Shipping sneaker reselling print on
4:28 demand and so much more unlike in-person
4:31 services or local products Going Global
4:34 means you have access to a much larger
4:35 customer base which gives you more
4:38 opportunities to make money you're not
4:39 limited to just the people in your town
4:43 or city anyone anywhere can buy from you
4:45 I was so excited about launching my own
4:48 Global products I even flew all the way
4:50 to China to partner with a manufacturer
4:53 to produce my model airplane designs and
4:55 sell them worldwide of course you don't
4:57 have to do this if you choose to go down
4:59 the Drop Shipping or print on demand
5:01 routes however this wasn't really an
5:03 option when I started if I'm honest
5:05 things started off pretty slowly for me
5:07 because I had to keep reinvesting my
5:09 profits back into new products to sell
5:12 every sale required more investment once
5:15 I sold 10 items I then needed to buy 20
5:17 more to keep up instead of pocketing the
5:19 profits my money kept getting trapped in
5:22 this endless cycle of restocking
5:24 ultimately was it worth it
5:27 100% however you should only do this if
5:29 you have the patience to wait 1 to 3
5:31 months for everything to start kicking
5:34 off so when this is up and running it is
5:36 probably the most passive laziest way to
5:39 make money that actually works so that
5:42 brings us on to option four selling
5:44 online services this option wasn't
5:46 actually possible for me when I was
5:48 younger but this is such an advantage
5:50 nowadays there are so many different
5:52 online services you can offer these
5:55 include copy writing video editing
5:57 thumbnail design running ads social
6:00 media management the list goes on
6:02 selling online services actually
6:04 combines the two biggest benefits from
6:07 the in-person services and Global
6:09 products this is because you get the
6:11 global reach but the profit margins of a
6:13 service with products you might make 20
6:16 to 30% margin that needs to be
6:18 reinvested with Services you're looking
6:21 at 70 to 80% margins that go straight
6:24 into your pocket plus you can start
6:26 making money from day one look all of
6:29 these are fantastic ways to make $10,000
6:32 as a student especially these last two
6:34 options however if I wanted to start
6:36 making money as fast as possible then
6:40 I'd go with option for selling online
6:43 services so now we need to figure out
6:46 exactly what online service to offer so
6:49 start by asking yourself three questions
6:51 what are you really good at what do you
6:54 enjoy learning about and what problems
6:56 do businesses consistently struggle with
6:58 the sweet spot is where your answers
7:01 overlap most people get stuck at this
7:03 stage as they spend months or even years
7:05 trying to perfect their skill before
7:07 offering it to anyone that is totally
7:09 backwards you need to start getting real
7:12 world experience as quickly as possible
7:14 so start by setting your prices under
7:16 the normal market rate your main aim
7:18 here is to earn and learn at the same
7:27 further this is the skill pyramid made
7:29 up of four elements that when mastered
7:31 together together transform a high
7:34 income skill into a $10,000 income misch
7:36 just one and you'll stay stuck at the
7:39 bottom working hard but never breaking
7:42 through element one is positioning you
7:45 see not all online services are equal
7:48 the real money is in offering to help
7:49 businesses make more money that's
7:51 because businesses think about money
7:53 differently to individuals when a
7:56 business is making $50,000 a month
7:59 spending $2,000 to solve a problem isn't
8:01 big deal as long as it helps them make
8:04 more money and take it from me they have
8:06 a lot of these problems they need more
8:08 customers they need better systems they
8:10 need to stand out from their competition
8:12 and they need to convert more leads into
8:16 sales these problems never go away and
8:18 businesses are always willing to pay to
8:20 solve them on top of this some
8:22 Industries simply have more money to
8:24 spend than others and if you think about
8:26 how you can reposition yourself you'll
8:29 start making real money faster here are
8:31 some ideas to get you thinking instead
8:33 of being a video editor for small
8:35 YouTubers you could edit videos for an
8:37 entrepreneur who sells a product if you
8:40 make random thumbnails for clients you
8:42 could instead aim to become the main
8:44 designer for an established Creator and
8:47 if you're a copywriter don't write cheap
8:50 articles instead focus on optimizing
8:52 landing pages this isn't about learning
8:54 more skills it's about putting yourself
8:57 where the money's being made element two
8:59 is leverage you'll never make $10,000
9:02 without leveraging value over time
9:05 businesses don't pay for effort they pay
9:07 for results if you stop charging for the
9:09 hours you work and instead for the
9:12 return on investment you provide you'll
9:14 instantly make more money let's say you
9:16 choose to run Facebook ads if you charge
9:19 per hour you're stuck with a fixed rate
9:21 and the client will always want to keep
9:23 your hours low but if you charge based
9:25 on the money you bring in for the
9:27 business suddenly they're not thinking
9:30 about cost they're thinking about profit
9:31 and when they see that your work is
9:33 directly making them money they'll
9:35 happily pay you more for it the same
9:37 goes for if you decide to offer social
9:39 media management if you just schedule
9:41 posts and reply to comments you're
9:43 replaceable but if you can prove that
9:45 your strategy is bringing in more
9:48 engagement more leads and more sales you
9:51 become a valuable asset not just an
9:53 expense trust me the moment you shift
9:55 your pitch from what you do to what they
9:56 gain you'll find a lot of people are
9:58 suddenly willing to pay a lot more
10:01 element three is reach one of the
10:02 biggest mistakes people make when
10:04 starting out is thinking they always
10:07 have to chase clients but that's not how
10:09 the game should be played right from the
10:11 start you need to be thinking about how
10:14 to make clients come to you recently I
10:16 was looking for a graphic designer for a
10:20 specific task making movie style posters
10:22 so the first thing I did was look on Tik
10:23 Tok for people who made these kinds of
10:27 designs and one person dominated the
10:29 search results so I reached out to him
10:31 and asked him for his prices he told me
10:33 he was just posting some of his designs
10:35 for fun on Tik Tok he wasn't even doing
10:38 it as a side hustle so politely declined
10:40 however his videos kept growing in
10:42 popularity and his inbox was flooded
10:44 with DMS asking to work with him a few
10:46 weeks later he reached back out to me
10:49 asking how to start getting paid I
10:51 helped him set up a proper business and
10:53 now he works for me and many other
10:55 clients this just goes to show that you
10:57 should always be putting your work out
10:59 there online even if you just starting
11:01 out or just doing something because you
11:03 enjoy it you never know what
11:05 opportunities might come from it so if
11:08 you edit videos show before and after
11:10 Clips to highlight how much better your
11:12 edits make the content if you design
11:14 thumbnails explain why your design got
11:16 more clicks and if you're learning
11:18 social media document how you're growing
11:22 an account from scratch element four is
11:25 automation 95% of people that try to
11:27 start a sideous or a business fail
11:29 before they even really get going here's
11:31 why after working with countless
11:34 copywriters thumbnail designers web
11:36 developers and video editors I can tell
11:38 you that 95% of them promis to deliver
11:41 on time then completely miss their
11:43 deadlines the thing that will make you
11:45 stand out the most isn't Talent OR
11:48 Charisma is reliability and overlooking
11:50 this is the biggest mistake young people
11:52 make when starting out the people I've
11:54 ended up paying thousands to aren't
11:56 always the best at what they do but
11:58 they're the most organized they never
12:00 miss deadlines they always communicate
12:02 clearly and they make working with them
12:05 effortless so take it from me being good
12:07 at what you do is one thing but being
12:09 reliable is what gets you paid again and
12:12 again so how do you do this well the
12:14 most successful people I know don't rely
12:17 on memory or messy notes they use
12:18 Automation and if you're thinking about
12:20 making money online you need something
12:22 to help you keep track of everything
12:25 that's why I recommend using a CRM
12:28 system ODU CRM is great it helps you
12:30 remember who you talk to what they
12:32 wanted and what you need to do next
12:34 instead of scrolling through emails or
12:36 DMS trying to find what the client said
12:39 everything is in one place I mean you
12:41 can visualize all your opportunities
12:43 with this cool board which helps you see
12:45 the expected Revenue at each stage so
12:48 you know where to focus your efforts you
12:50 can also use it to schedule calls and
12:53 meetings effortlessly plus with your
12:55 emails notes and files all in one place
12:58 staying organized is very easy you can
13:00 use it to easily track your clients and
13:02 projects so you never miss a deadline
13:04 you can set reminders to follow up with
13:06 people so you always look professional
13:08 at the end of the day clients don't just
13:10 want someone skilled they want someone
13:12 they can count on as I was planning on
13:14 talking about them anyway I reached out
13:16 to ODU to see if they wanted to sponsor
13:18 this portion of the video and they
13:20 agreed they also offer your first
13:22 application completely free with
13:24 unlimited support and hosting so if that
13:26 interests you I'll drop a link in the description
13:31 I don't care how much money you make
13:33 until you see at least $1 million in
13:35 your bank you shouldn't be wasting it
13:37 the supercars the designer Clos the
13:40 night's out none of it matters unless
13:42 you can turn your income into long-term
13:44 wealth the rich see their income is
13:46 something to spend whereas the wealthy
13:49 use it to make more money so how do you
13:52 do this well you need to start investing
13:54 in front of me I've got a RIS scale and
13:56 I'm going to walk you through the four
13:58 key areas where I put my money starting
14:01 from the safest Investments all the way
14:03 up to the highest risk play remember I'm
14:06 not a financial advisor I'm just sharing
14:07 what's worthed for me over the years
14:10 let's kick this off with my high savings
14:12 account they call it a highin savings
14:14 account but honestly at 3% I have no
14:17 idea how to get away with that name now
14:19 sure you can find better rates if you're
14:20 willing to lock your money away for a
14:23 set period or agree to strict deposit
14:25 limits each month but I don't want my
14:28 savings held hostage I want access to my
14:30 money when I need it not stuck behind
14:32 some rule that says I can only withdraw
14:34 on the first Tuesday of every leap year
14:36 and I know what some of you are thinking
14:38 mark this isn't really investing this is
14:41 just holding cash and yeah you've got a
14:43 point but having some cash on the
14:45 sidelines means you're not forced to
14:47 sell Investments at the wrong time
14:49 imagine the market crashes and you
14:52 suddenly need money for an emergency if
14:54 you don't have cash saved up you'll have
14:56 no choice but to sell stocks at a loss
14:59 and that's the fastest way to lock in a
15:01 bad decision a highin interest savings
15:03 account is like your financial safety
15:05 net it's not about making big returns
15:08 it's about having a buffer so that when
15:10 life throws unexpected expenses at you
15:12 you're covered without wrecking your
15:15 long-term Investments investment two is
15:17 index funds have you ever heard the
15:19 saying it only takes the price of a
15:21 coffee a day to become a millionaire
15:24 well that's down to index funds and ETFs
15:26 I've made a lot of money from simple
15:28 long-term Index Fund investing and as an
15:31 had benefit is extremely low maintenance
15:33 there are tons of different index funds
15:35 and ETFs but the most popular buzzword
15:39 of course is the S&P 500 which is 503 of
15:42 the top publicly traded companies in
15:44 America all packed into one easy
15:46 investment even though this is the
15:48 biggest Index Fund in my portfolio by
15:51 percentage I do also invest into a total
15:53 stock market fund the best I found for
15:55 us investors is
15:59 vtsax and for the UK people is the VW RL
16:02 ETF additionally I think it's important
16:03 to have some money invested in an
16:06 emerging market index fund the best I
16:09 found in the USA is the vwo and in the
16:13 UK is the vfm ETF but there are lots of
16:16 other Emerging Market funds available so
16:18 it's worth having a bit of a look around
16:20 if all those Index Fund names made you
16:22 glaze over then here's an awesome fact
16:25 to wake you up the average return of the
16:28 S&P 500 over the last 10 years has been
16:31 over 10 10% which means if you invest
16:33 just $5 instead of buying a coffee every
16:37 single day from the age of 18 to 67 and
16:39 achieve the same return then you'd
16:41 retire with over $1 million and if you
16:43 don't want to wait until you're 67 just
16:45 invest more money that's what I've done
16:47 for many years and it's worked really
16:50 well for me investment three is
16:53 individual stocks now this is where
16:55 things get exciting individual stocks
16:58 can be a great way to start investing
17:00 especially with smaller amounts of money
17:02 they allow you to get hands-on
17:04 experience with the market in a way that
17:06 index funds don't when I first started I
17:08 really enjoyed picking stocks and
17:10 learning how to read company's financial
17:12 statements honestly if I hadn't actually
17:15 invested my own money I doubt I'd ever
17:17 have been motivated to understand how it
17:19 all works that's why when you're
17:21 starting out individual stocks can feel
17:23 more engaging of course they also come
17:26 with higher risk but if you're only
17:28 investing a small amount it can be a
17:30 useful way to learn how the market moves
17:32 without putting too much at stake
17:34 another big Advantage is that you get
17:37 direct exposure to specific companies
17:39 with index funds even if a company's
17:41 performing incredibly well it may only
17:44 make up a small part of your portfolio
17:46 with individual stocks you get to
17:48 experience those gains more directly but
17:50 of course this means more ups and downs
17:52 which is something to keep in mind by
17:54 the way trading 212 are currently given
17:57 away a free fractional share worth up to
18:00 £200 when you use the the code tilb and
18:02 fund your account so if you want to pick
18:03 that up I'll leave the link in the
18:06 description below investment 4 is
18:08 cryptocurrency when Bitcoin first came
18:12 out in 2009 I like a lot of people just
18:14 assumed it was a scam I was used to
18:17 inves in in real tangible assets like
18:20 property and stocks things backed by
18:22 actual companies the idea of some
18:24 digital currency with no one in charge
18:27 seemed way too risky but as time went on
18:30 I started paying more attention by early
18:33 2019 I decided to dip my toes in and
18:35 over the last few years I've been
18:37 steadily buying more Bitcoin and
18:40 ethereum looking back it's been a solid
18:43 move and it's made me a decent amount of
18:45 money now I won't deny that all coins
18:47 and mean coins can make people crazy
18:50 returns but they're also way riskier for
18:52 every person who makes a fortune there's
18:55 plenty who lose it just as fast these
18:57 days I'd say I'm a lot more bullish on
19:00 crypto but I'm still playing it smart
19:02 building my position slowly dollar cost
19:04 averaging and making sure I'm not just
19:07 jumping in at bad prices of course
19:09 crypto is super volatile and like any
19:11 investment it carries risks that's why
19:13 it's important to do your own research
19:16 and only invest what you can afford to
19:17 lose if you're ready to learn how to
19:20 invest in everything I just talked about
19:22 then I'll leave that video right up
19:24 there but don't click on it just yet
19:25 make sure to subscribe if you want to
19:27 grow your wealth okay I'll see you over there
