0:03 Brad Castanzo here. Thanks for picking
0:05 up the Ice Matrix training. I'm going to
0:07 share something with you that has been
0:10 uh pivotal in my career, in my personal
0:12 life, and it's a way to put your most
0:14 important projects on ice. And by that,
0:16 I mean transform overwhelm into action
0:18 with this very simple framework. It's
0:20 been used for years by some of the top
0:22 uh companies, consulting companies
0:25 around. I did not create this. I've used
0:27 this and every single one of my clients
0:29 that I sit down with, we work one-on-one
0:33 together. This forms kind of the the the
0:36 critical aspect of the
0:39 uh projects that we execute together.
0:41 So, if you're like most people, you've
0:43 got both personal and professional
0:44 projects, ideas, and things that you
0:46 want to accomplish. Most likely, there's
0:48 too many. And there's an opportunity
0:50 cost to working on the wrong things. How
0:52 do you know what to work on now, next,
0:54 or never? Do you guess? Is it
0:56 subjective? I'm going to show you how to
0:58 quantify that and put an objective
1:00 aspect to it. This is not rocket
1:03 science. It is very simple and you don't
1:05 even have to do any math. So, I'm going
1:08 to come down here and show you that
1:10 there's three aspects to this. Quantify
1:13 your decisions, use it everywhere, and
1:16 generate clarity in the sea of chaos.
1:20 All you have to understand is
1:22 impact, confidence, and ease. So the
1:25 impact is what is the potential value of
1:27 this project to your business or to your
1:29 life or to your career however you're
1:31 using this one to 10. 10 is the highest
1:34 obviously uh if it is something that
1:35 will dramatically like double your
1:38 business or or improve your health right
1:40 probably in 10 personally. Let's say you
1:42 are a smoker. If you were to give up
1:44 smoking right like let's say that's an
1:46 idea what impact would that have on your
1:49 life? Probably a nine or a 10. If you
1:51 are doing a business thing and you're
1:53 like, "Oh, let's redesign a logo." What
1:54 impact would that have? Probably a one
1:57 or a two, unless your logo is terrible.
1:59 What's your confidence in that estimate?
2:01 Right? If the This is the one that trips
2:04 most people up. I may give something an
2:07 idea a 10 on the level of impact, but my
2:09 confidence is low. Maybe it's an idea, a
2:11 hairbrained idea that I had that I've
2:12 never tried. I don't know if anybody
2:14 else has done it, but it just might
2:16 work. My confidence might be a two or
2:18 three or a one. But if it's something
2:19 that another business has done, another
2:21 colleague has done or for instance I use
2:25 this example stop smoking then perhaps
2:26 you know it's a 10 impact and your
2:28 confidence in that estimate would be 10
2:31 like that means yes absolutely I know
2:34 that if I can quit smoking impact would
2:38 be 10 but the ease once more this is the
2:40 inverse of effort if it's 10 it's super
2:42 duper easy if it's one it's pretty hard
2:44 to do for instance maybe stopping
2:46 smoking would be a one or a two but Um,
2:48 maybe something like just going for a
2:51 walk every single day. Well, that's
2:52 easy. I can do that, right? I want to
2:55 get in shape. Um, do that. Maybe if it's
2:58 professional, uh, ease would be a 10
2:59 would be something I can push a button
3:01 and install, you know, a new thing or
3:03 send an a certain type of email that's
3:05 worked for other people, copy paste,
3:08 send it out, get sales versus create an
3:10 entire new u division of my business.
3:11 For instance, that might be very
3:13 expensive, take a lot of time. Maybe
3:15 that's a one. All you have to do is
3:17 score them one to 10 impact, confidence,
3:19 and ease, and then multiply them
3:21 together for your score, which will then
3:24 sort. I'll show you some examples below.
3:26 You can use this professionally with
3:28 product features, marketing campaigns,
3:30 where to allocate resources, or
3:33 evaluating your strategy. You can use it
3:35 personally, home projects, financial
3:36 decisions, career growth, family
3:38 activities, health goals. You can have
3:40 an ice matrix for every aspect of your
3:43 life or just one. Don't over complicate
3:45 this. First thing you want to do,
3:46 brainstorm ideas. When I'm working with
3:48 a client, that's the first thing we do.
3:50 We're typically working on how to grow
3:52 their business or do something with
3:54 artificial intelligence. We capture
3:55 everything. We include both immediate
3:57 tasks and long-term aspirations. And
3:59 then we group similar ideas together.
4:01 Then we put them on a simple uh matrix
4:05 like this. Add project, add an AI agent
4:07 to the site. Well, probably have a great
4:09 impact on that and a pretty good degree
4:11 of confidence. Seen other people do it.
4:13 probably worked for me. And the level of
4:15 uh ease about a seven. The there's
4:16 software out there that makes this
4:19 fairly easy these days. Redesigning your
4:21 website, launching a podcast. Now, these
4:22 are just examples. I didn't score these
4:24 based upon any real metric. I just
4:26 wanted to put some basic numbers there.
4:28 And the math behind this is super
4:34 complex. 8 * 7 * 7 7 * 9 * 3 6 * 5 * 2.
4:37 Right? That's 6 * 5 is 30 * 2 is 20. And
4:39 notice they are sorted in this order.
4:41 That is how hard this is. But I'm going
4:45 to go into a little bit more in depth.
4:47 You want to categorize these results
4:49 then to find the projects or project
4:52 that you're going to do now, next, and
4:56 then never or not yet. Okay. Come down
4:59 here. We're going to start small. Create
5:00 create a tracker. Well, you don't have
5:01 to create one. I'm going to give you one
5:02 here in a second. And then you're going
5:04 to review this weekly, monthly,
5:06 quarterly, or check them off as they get
5:07 done. And then share this. Tell your
5:09 other uh colleagues, tell your friends,
5:10 tell your family members how you're
5:13 doing this because this is what adds a
5:14 little bit of um you know method to the
5:18 madness. And here's an example of using
5:20 it for personal growth. All right, let's
5:22 say I want to complete an online coding
5:24 course, then build a daily meditation
5:25 habit, network with industry leaders,
5:27 write a non-fiction ebook, learn
5:30 Chinese, right? This is how you do it.
5:33 Score them and then sort them by the
5:36 scores. This you do instinctually, but
5:37 sometimes when you're working with maybe
5:39 a coach or a consultant, maybe you're
5:40 working with me, which by the way, let
5:42 me know if you're interested. Brad
5:44 accelerated intelligence.ai, send me an
5:46 email. We will come up with the ideas,
5:47 we'll put them on the project plan,
5:49 we'll score them out, and then we create
5:52 a execution plan for each one. Most
5:54 importantly, if for instance, these are
5:56 the two big ones, we don't move on to
5:58 these until we knock these dominoes
6:00 down. Really simple stuff. Now, I've got
6:02 an ice template for you. I'm going to
6:03 show you how it works. It's in Google
6:06 Sheets. You can click right here and
6:08 access it. When you click here, it'll
6:10 probably ask you to make a copy first.
6:12 So, all you need is a free Google
6:14 account. I think most people have one.
6:16 If not, just sign up for one. Um, you'll
6:17 click make a copy and then this copy
6:20 will be editable. It'll go inside your
6:22 uh Google Drive and it'll look like
6:25 this. Okay. So, we've got uh another
6:27 some examples. AI support bot, phone
6:29 appointment, setter, social media, GPT,
6:31 write a book with AI, employee wiki bot.
6:33 You could put a description of what it
6:35 is. Now, I have something I call the
6:37 five bucket framework. This has to do
6:40 with AI. So, um oftentimes when I'm
6:42 working with my uh clients, we talk
6:44 about the five buckets that AI helps you
6:46 thinking, creating, communicating,
6:48 analyzing, and automating. You don't
6:49 have to use this. I just put them here.
6:51 If you want more information on that,
6:52 send me an email. Reply to the email
6:54 I've already sent you, and ask for the
6:56 five bucket framework. I'll forward it
6:58 to you. And here, as you can see, I put
7:00 arbitrary numbers. It you don't even
7:02 have to type it in. You just grab it and
7:04 put what you want in here. If I take
7:05 this to a seven, you'll notice this
7:07 jumps up. Now, the first time you're
7:09 going to do this, you're going to see
7:11 the instructions here. Super hard
7:14 instructions. There's only six, right?
7:16 Actually, I take that back. There's
7:18 seven, but this is the important one.
7:20 When you're done with this, so for
7:21 instance, I'm going to show you this. If
7:24 this guy comes out here and it's a nine,
7:27 and then this is a 10, we're going to
7:28 jump this up. Now, all of a sudden, this
7:32 is higher. The only thing you got to do,
7:34 highlight them all, click data, sort range,
7:36 range, advanced.
7:38 advanced.
7:40 Data has a header row. Sort by the ice
7:43 total. I think it's Z to A. Sometimes I
7:45 mess this up. Boom. And it sorts them
7:47 right back where you want them to go.
7:50 Just like that. That's all you have to
7:52 do. And now you got your project plans.
7:55 This is the demo. I don't advise editing
7:58 this because it's just the demo. Here
8:00 is your actual one. Come up with your
8:02 projects. Come up with your problems.
8:04 Decide if you want to solve it. If you
8:06 don't want to use the uh bucket thing,
8:08 just uh you can hide it or delete it.
8:10 It's up to you. But if you're working in
8:12 AI, you'll probably want to keep that.
8:14 If you don't have any AI projects, you
8:16 got a business you want to once more,
8:18 hit me up. And then just go through
8:20 here. They're all set to one. Give it
8:24 its numbers. And there you go. Now, this
8:28 is not rocket science, but if you do it,
8:30 it'll take your productivity to the
8:32 moon. I just made that metaphor up.
8:33 Thought it was pretty cool. And so, with
8:36 that, I'll end this training. Most
8:38 important thing is use it. Come up with
8:39 all your ideas, put them on here. Way
8:41 better than a to-do list. In fact, this
8:43 is really the next evolution of a to-do
8:47 list, and it's um super powerful. Hope
8:49 you like this. Let me know. Thanks a lot.
