Hey, babe.
Oh, nothing. It's just you look so cute
in your little PJs. Yeah.
Yeah.
Oh, no. You're not interrupting. I was
just uh
planning out my day for tomorrow. I
should be all good, though. Yeah.
So, are you ready for bed then?
Yeah, me too.
Yeah, I'm feeling pretty sleepy. It's
Yeah. Well,
Well,
how about we go cuddle up in bed then? Huh?
Yeah. [sighs] No, I think that sounds
All right. You lead the way. [snorts]
Doesn't that feel good?
Laying here all cozy under the blankets.
My arms wrapped around you.
Yeah, I do, too. Yeah.
Yeah.
So, where are you at? You want to talk
Yeah. You want me to talk for a little bit?
bit?
Yeah, I'm sure I can come up with uh
something to ramble about if it'll help
you fall asleep.
Yeah, of course, babe. Yeah.
Well,
my day was
pretty pretty boring. [laughter]
Yeah, I was working.
Work was fine. Nothing crazy. Um,
Um,
trying to think.
Oh, well, you were um at dinner I
started watching that show Couples Therapy.
Yeah. I don't know. It just uh popped up
when I was scrolling through the TV. I
figured I'd check it out. Um,
it's actually really good.
Yeah. I mean, it's not it's like uh
it doesn't really feel
like like uh reality TV. It's more um
documentary. It's like very
[snorts] um I don't know objective and
like not trying to play into any of the
drama between the couples or whatever
which I
Yeah, there's just something so
interesting. I mean, you know,
a lot of the couples have
more serious problems, but um,
you know, I feel like you can always see
little bits of yourself and little bits of
of
uh your relationships, even just like
friendships or, you know, relationships
with family and and the stuff that they
talk about. It's
Yeah.
And I mean, it's
I don't know, maybe it's a little corny, but
but
seeing all of the couples I mean,
I've heard that like some of the couples
maybe give up on therapy or break up or
whatever, but
seeing most of the couples be so
committed to
you know, figuring out how to make
things work and
being willing to work on themselves and
try and become a better person to like
take better care of their partner or,
you know, being willing to compromise
and stuff. I think it's really
I don't I mean
relationships are like kind of weird,
you know.
I don't
You know, it's I mean like at at a
certain point it was just like you you
you fall in love with someone and have
kids and like you're with them to like
raise the child and like that feels like
the the the
focus of the relationship. But that's
obviously like not
which just like
I don't know, opens things up to
a lot of possibilities and
makes things a little more complicated
sometimes in terms of like
what it is you want from a relationship
and what you need from your partner. And
you know, I mean, obviously [snorts]
I've gotten pretty lucky and that you're,
you're,
you know, such a such a great fit for me and
and
we can communicate when there are
problems. And
you know, as far as I can tell, neither
of us [sighs]
have too too many difficulties with that
and with
trying to accommodate each other. Um,
Um,
but you know, I can see where it can be
really tricky and
just to watch them
try and figure those things out. And
are you
are you still awake? You need me to keep
All right. Well,
I'm going to take the no response as
you're asleep or,
I guess I'll say good night. And
And
if you
wake back up or you need me,
right.
Good night, babe.
And I'm going to fall asleep, too. Okay.
