figures for 2020 showing that
127 kilograms of food per inhabitant was
wasted that year in the EU of

well firstly use what you have in the

larger chains may have rejected the
issue of wasted food is not only costly
in monetary terms but also when it comes
to social responsibility
I am African here in France we throw
away tons of food while on the other
side there are people who are dying of
hunger we have to try and find the right
balance and I think that these types of
stores can help us avoid food waste in
the future it also has a big impact on
the environment with food that's thrown
away in France every year emitting more
than 15 million tons of CO2 which
equates to three percent of the
country's total emission I don't stroll
out I feel really bad if I have
something in my in my fridge that it's
just getting bad and I have to go
straight away
I'm not feeling really okay with that so
I try to to not do it and always always
adapt that sentiment is becoming
increasingly common among consumers is
the current record high inflation rate
is forcing many households to tighten
their belts and reduce spending it also
means customers are likely to turn to
the growing number of shops selling
imperfect but perfectly edible food
