We finally have a new update for
Granded 2, although it may not be the
update you're expecting.
However, beyond this update, I
also have some interesting information
that the developers shared with
us in a live Q&
A session they did a few
weeks ago. So in this video I'll
talk about the new
Grounded 2 update, the interesting information they
gave us, and also the date when we
might hear news
about the next update to the
pond. So, with that said, and as
always, if you're eating, enjoy your meal,
and let's get started with the most
interesting details shared with
us by the developers of Grounded
2. I don't know if you remember, but almost from the moment
we learned that Grounded 2
existed, they very subtly hinted at
something that could be the new
alpha insects, something like a stronger
and more aggressive bug with different types of attacks
that would give us different parts.
Well, today there are
irgo insects that more or less fulfill this
function. However, live on air, Marcus
showed us these tattoos, saying that
the last time he got Burgle's head tattooed
was when they reached 5,000
players, and that it just so happened to coincide
with part of the Ground Dead
2 storyline. Uh-huh. Coincidentally, the reason he reached
100,000 members on Discord was that he
got a new tattoo, and it's a rather unusual one:
a woolly aphid bearing the mark of the
mysterious stranger. In his words, he wanted to
add an
impossible-to-defeat boss to the game just to
troll us, and that's why he got a
woolly aphid with that mark, which might make him feel
a bit more alpha. However, right after that he
tells us that this doesn't mean
something like this will be coming to the game
anytime soon, unless of course we
bother them so much that they are forced to
add something like this to the game. So
for now this is the only clue we'll
have about alpha insects or something
remotely similar, and only
time will tell if it was real or not. Another thing they
mentioned in the live stream
was mod support for the
game, and it's something they're clearly taking into
consideration, as they know what it could
bring to the game. However, this
support will be evaluated until
Grounded 2 version 1.0 is released, and that's
certainly a long way off. This is just
my opinion, but I feel that
Grounded 2 version 1.0 will be released in September
2027. And speaking of version 1.0, they also
told us a bit about the next big
update to the pond. And here
the answer was quite curious, because
they said they wanted to maintain the fantasy
of Grounded 2. And what does this mean?
According to Justin Vázquez, they still have a
couple of aces up their sleeve to
surprise and delight us with the
things we'll be able to find. And
all this is thanks to the
development team listening to the
community. Clearly, they don't have a
clearer answer because they simply
don't want to spoil the surprise. But when they
say to listen to the community, at
least I imagine they're going to bring in the
leader the community is asking for, whether it's a
giant toad from the pond or, like they
brought in the lizard king, they'll bring in the 100-footed one from
the pond. It might not go well
with water, but you can take
creative liberties and still include it in the
game. As I said, they weren't going to
give us a clearer answer, so
this is what we have. Similarly,
later in the video I'll tell you
when I think we'll get some
real news about the next
Grounded 2 update.
However, let's continue with the questions, and the
next one was about
scav customization, specifically how it could be done in Ground
Duno. And however normal the
question was, the answers they gave were
very curious. First of all, yes,
SCI customization will arrive
sometime between the summer update
and version 1.0. However, Marcus's face
while Justin was saying that they had to
make the interface for the four
characters was what got us
theorizing about whether we would ever play
with the mysterious stranger or
what he really meant by that
face. Because it was very suspicious that he
made those gestures right after mentioning the four characters, and even more so that he
later said that he actually
wanted to tell us something with those gestures.
Another thing they also mentioned was the
size of the bosses, and it seems that
the limit of how big they can
make them is the size of the lizard king.
In fact, they decided to include the
lizard and the tarantula because it was something
the community had always requested and they
wanted to make it a reality, but from
now on they will be evaluating the issue
of sizes. They even said that the
next bosses won't necessarily
be huge, which leaves open the possibility
that bosses the
size of the lizard or Axel, who are still
huge, clearly, could appear, or that
long bosses and
small but tremendously dangerous bosses could also appear.
In fact, they tell us right here that the
next boss will be one that the community
wants to see and which fits perfectly
with the game, and even more so that they will try to
surprise us. They also said they are
looking to expand the interaction
we have with the colossi like the
serpent or the raven, something that does not
involve fighting. And all I can say
here is that the merchant squirrel is coming.
There's another element they talked about that's
in the park, and I'm referring to the
tables of the mysterious stranger.
They want to make them not only useful for
customizing our Omnitula, but
also modify them to
be something more interesting, something that makes
the presence of the
mysterious stranger in the park much more interesting. Another
very interesting thing they talked about,
which I really didn't imagine at
all, is that there will be a new type of weapon
that the community has requested and that even
the Grounded 2 creative team wants to
make, but obviously they didn't tell us
what it was, or even give us a hint as to what weapon it
could be. Although if we're going to talk about that,
there are two weapons that the community has requested,
or at least that I've read about. The first
would be the voice we had in Grounded
Duno, which was made with parts of
the mantis, and the second would be the
crossbow. However, what makes me
wonder is that they say it's a new
type of weapon, and these aren't really
new weapons, unless, of course, they're saying they're
new weapons in Grounded
2. But like I said, they didn't give us
a single clue as to what kind of weapon it
could be. The following is of interest to
people who build everything from
mansions to
merely decorated shoeboxes. And they have two
intentions. The first is to bring
different materials, just as they
surprised us with the pumpkin one, or
if they bring materials from the
Dune ground, that they be a complete redesign that is
worthwhile, as happened with the
mushroom pieces. But also to bring
new pieces and functions that
allow us to build things as we
truly imagine them and not as we are
[music] dictated. The second thing they want to
do is ensure that all materials have
the same building blocks. That is to
say, if for example we have half a
circular wall of grass, then
we will also have half a circular wall of
wood, of pumpkin and of all,
absolutely all the materials that are
included in the game. However, as you might
guess, they have this goal set for when version
1.0 is released, so we'll have to
wait a little longer to be able to build
exactly what we want with the
parts we want. They also talked
about layered armor, which is
something the community has been asking for a lot
. Just imagine
having the poison build equipped, but
visually looking like Axel's armor.
And obviously this doesn't radically change the
game, it's just a
cool detail. However, one issue that will
change how we play Grounded is that
of mutations and amulets. And they
told us that the
possibility of modifying the mutations,
specifically the phases, is on the table. And it's not that they're going
to change them as such, but they do
want to make leveling up
mutations much more
interesting than simply killing some random
creature. The same will happen with
amulets, but they are not going to
change them; rather, they are evaluating the
possibility that we can use two
amulets at the same time. And you know what
this means, well, that they're
ultra-powered, so if they
power us up they'll also have to
power up the enemies. So if
this is true, in the future Ground Dead 2
will truly be the Dark Souls of
bugs. Something I never even
imagined they would mention was
the Grounded animated series, which
we learned about quite some time ago and
then stopped hearing about.
Well, the only answer we got
about it was, "The Grounded series
is evolving and I honestly don't know
what this means. It's coming as DLC
to the game, now it's a movie." Let me know
in the comments what you
think about this and everything
else the developers told us
. And now that you have
the interesting facts, it's time to
move on to what the new update brought us,
and I'm referring to the
buggy race, something we already knew would be
coming to the game and that we can now
try out just by entering
playground mode.
Now, as you can imagine,
being the first version of these new
racing gadgets, we have
basic things, but they still serve
to build interesting tracks.
Obviously, what I'm showing you right now
is something very basic, just so you can
see what we have.
Obviously there's the initial area of the
track, the points we have to
pass through to complete the track, a
special danger which is the
sticky sap and the speed platform.
However, this is where your
imagination will come into play, as
we can also use all the
available structures, powers, hazards, such as
toxic zones, or anything else we want to
add to create our races. That
said, as I mentioned earlier, this
is just the beginning of
buggy racing, so we'll see what other
parts or mechanics we can include
when the pond update arrives
, which is actually why we
're all here, right? When the hell is
the pond update coming out? Well
, I certainly don't have that
information myself, but I can tell you something:
on June 7th we'll have
Xbox's biggest annual event, and I
'm sure they'll show us something
about the pond update. And
yes, I may be going crazy,
but I also believe that Grounded 2 is one
of the most important Xbox games and
that after the
spring update, I think it's fair and necessary that they show us
something at this event. However,
I highly doubt
the update will be released on June 7th, but I am
certain that they will announce the PTV date that day
, and hopefully I'm wrong and we'll be able to
play it that very day. But as I said, on
June 7th we have a date on this channel
to see not only what they show of The
Ground Dead 2, but also to see the
new Gears of War Day and so many
other games that may be released. So
for now, that's all the information I
can give you about Grounded 2, its
new racing update, and
the possible date for the
pond update.
Thank you so much for making it this far in the
video, and without further ado, I was the
fox and this was Fox Gaming. See you soon.
