0:04 over the build that I'm going to be
0:06 playing for 3.26. Probably going to keep
0:09 it short and sweet if possible because
0:11 uh there's a lot of slam guides out and
0:13 I just wanted to give my take on it as
0:15 somebody that played it for pretty much
0:18 8 days play time and I was able to do
0:20 that in hardcore with zero deaths and I
0:21 had pretty good success in hardcore
0:24 trade last playing this build and
0:26 nothing's really changing from 3.25 to
0:29 3.26 at least for earth shatter. there's
0:31 like subtle changes to the Berserker
0:33 ascendancy. Um, you know, there's no
0:36 enchants for maces anymore. Um, so
0:39 that's worth keeping in mind. Now, first
0:41 and foremost, why Earth Shatter? Why not
0:43 snaking? Um, quite simply, just
0:45 preference. Honestly, they map at
0:48 similar speeds. They do similar DPS, at
0:50 least on low gear. Earth Shatter does a
0:51 little bit more single target during the
0:53 early progression.
0:55 Um, but you know, the trade-off there is
0:58 that snaking map clear is way nicer
1:00 because it just autotargets, hits
1:03 everything. Um, so honestly, it's kind
1:06 of preference, but from your for your
1:08 progression, you do need to spend a lot
1:11 of time in Merk Lab for snaking
1:13 potentially. You might be in there for
1:15 15 minutes. You might be there for an
1:18 hour. You might be there for two because
1:20 the non-transfigure to transfigure gem
1:24 option is about a one in 10 labs I
1:26 believe from Merk Lab. Whereas Earth
1:27 Shatter, I'm just getting the quality
1:29 and I'm going into maps. And if I want
1:31 to swap to snaking later, I can just do
1:34 that. Um, also Leech is a bit easier to
1:37 solve early on on Earth Shatter. You can
1:38 just get a mana leech jewel because all
1:40 your damage is just physical damage.
1:43 It's very simple, straightforward.
1:46 Snaking mostly elemental damage. Um
1:47 especially if you're like converting it
1:49 all with the glove craft, so it's a
1:51 little bit harder to get that that
1:54 leech. Uh but that being said, if you
1:56 want to start with earth shatter for
1:57 your progression and then swap over to
1:59 snaking, it's a very simple respec as
2:01 long as you're not like super endgame
2:03 geared and have like, you know,
2:06 conversion gloves on your snaking guy
2:07 and then you're trying to go to earth
2:10 shadow and stuff like that. So, um,
2:11 anyway, I wanted to quickly explain how
2:13 Earth Shadow works. So, essentially, you
2:16 just slam the ground, bang, you create
2:18 six fissures like this, and then you war
2:21 cry, and then it blows all the fissures
2:23 up. And the idea here is you want to try
2:25 to overlap them on the boss. you can't
2:27 really influence it all that much. Uh,
2:30 that can be kind of hard to approximate
2:32 Earth Shatter's damage because of the
2:35 the variance in damage from the spikes
2:38 because they spread out quite a quite a
2:43 and have different trajectory when you
2:47 slam. So, if you're in a small arena,
2:48 you're just going to shotgun the boss.
2:49 You're going to hit all your spikes. If
2:50 you're not, you're probably going to hit
2:54 like two, three spikes. Um, so yeah,
2:55 keep that in mind, especially when
2:57 you're running the map layout. But the
2:59 reason the play style is not as annoying
3:01 as it used to be is because we have auto
3:04 exertion on a bunch of our war cries
3:07 here. And it's important to put a
3:09 differing amount of quality on your war
3:11 cries so that they don't share the same cooldown.
3:13 cooldown.
3:16 um that makes it so that they blow up
3:18 your spikes, you know, more desync, so
3:20 it's a lot easier to kind of automate
3:23 the process. Um and then the General's
3:27 Cry here, General's Cry has a 3second
3:28 cool down, so it's really really really
3:31 really really good for Earth Shatter. Uh
3:33 especially when you don't have quality
3:35 everywhere and a ton of cool down
3:37 recovery rate in your war cries. Uh, so
3:40 we always run this early on at least
3:42 just to pop the spikes for us, make the
3:44 process easier. So anyway, this
3:46 character is very geared, but I wanted
3:49 to give you guys a quick idea of, you
3:52 know, how the how the maps are going to
3:54 look on Earth Shatter. Like I said, this
3:55 this is like aspirational gear, you
3:57 know, like a ton of divines. I crafted
3:59 this axe myself. It took a lot of
4:03 currency. Let's put in a quick minotaur.
4:04 Um, but yeah, we're basically just going
4:07 to enter the map. Cool trick I like to use.
4:09 use.
4:13 I have uh enduring cry in my off hand
4:15 here and I just enduring cry at the
4:16 start of my map with red blade banner
4:18 and then boom, I'm instantly at max
4:20 endurance charges and you see all my
4:22 work going off. We're just running
4:24 through the map. We just kind of right
4:27 click and the spikes get blown up generally
4:30 generally from
4:33 from
4:35 from our automation. You know, sometimes
4:36 you have to work right just to like keep
4:44 keep your buffs up. That's kind of the
4:46 idea. But with with Berserker's Ascendy,
4:48 we have a ton of exerts. It's very easy
5:15 will say that for Earth Shatter, you
5:16 definitely want to be running more
5:19 condensed maps because it's a lot easier
5:21 to clear them efficiently. We're just
5:28 Really quickly, and yeah, that's like uh
5:30 how like the endgame character is going
5:31 to look.
5:34 So, let's log over to a character with a
5:36 run I just did yesterday. And this
5:38 character is basically just starting red
5:40 maps. I think I'm like 7 hours play time
5:43 or something. I'll quickly mouse over
5:45 the gear. The axe is pretty bad. You'll
5:47 probably get a better axe from Fous next
5:48 league just gambling, but I didn't have
5:51 that in a practice run. The boots here
5:52 are my best item. Got really lucky this
5:54 run. Also, I got a six link, which is
5:55 really lucky, but I'm not using it
5:57 intentionally, so we're just using as a
6:00 five link. Um,
6:03 let's go ahead and put a quick T16
6:05 crystal ore in.
6:07 Uh, the boss is going to be an actual
6:09 pain in the ass, but it's probably good
6:12 to showcase something challenging for
6:15 the build.
6:17 I am only rallying crying on this setup,
6:19 so that's important to keep in mind. My
6:21 character that I was using a minute ago,
6:25 I was more willing to
6:36 So, so I could run Pride endame. So,
6:46 Uh this is basically what your map clear
6:49 is going to look like, you know, when
6:51 you get to red maps. As long as you have
6:54 a somewhat decent weapon.
6:56 I do have Nico just going to like pat on
6:59 the boss a little bit, but
7:00 nonetheless, I think the gear here is
7:06 pretty pretty mediocre for DPS. Anyway,
7:07 yeah, I think this boss is going to be
7:09 very hard and I might die, but we'll
7:12 find out.
7:14 I at least I can shotgun it quite well
7:16 as you can see because this is like the
7:17 power verse shatter, right? Like the
7:19 arena is small here. I can just shotgun
7:26 can do a lot of damage. But yeah, this
7:27 is like, you know, pretty mediocre
7:31 character. Level 89 SSF.
7:33 Uh, seven hours played. All right,
7:35 that's being said, let's get into the
7:37 PoB. I just wanted to start off by
7:39 saying there is a ton of different
7:41 sections in here. I have the progression
7:45 leveling trees. I've got fissure trees
7:46 even for people who want to play
7:49 volcanic fissure. Uh, and then I also
7:50 have like all the links in here. I've
7:53 got the fresh mapping forlink setup for
7:56 the skills. I've got the endgame setups.
7:57 And then even for the config, I've got a
7:59 fissure config, which obviously has a
8:01 bit more ailments. Um, so keep that in
8:03 mind. Make sure you read the notes
8:06 section, please. There are some very
8:08 important there's some very important
8:10 things in here like especially mana
8:12 management uh and talking about echoes
8:15 of creation and your endurance charge
8:18 sustain. So anyway, I like to put gear
8:21 in the POB. That is something I can
8:24 expect myself to get an SSF. So if
8:26 you're uh if you're confident in the
8:28 game and you're in SSF, I would say you
8:29 could probably achieve this gear in a
8:31 trade league. It should be easily
8:33 available. Not sure on the cost because
8:34 slams are meta this league. It's pretty
8:38 rare for slams to be meta. So we're in a
8:40 little uncharted territory, but um
8:42 anyway, 1,000 DPS echo creation from
8:45 Uber Shaper. Uh, and then just general
8:49 solid armor bases and jewelry. Um, the
8:50 only item I would say that is like
8:53 actual extreme pain to farm in SSF is
8:54 probably going to be the light of meaning.
8:56 meaning.
8:57 Um, but that's kind of like the endgame
8:58 gear I'm looking at. And then I've even
9:00 got like a fresh map setup here with
9:02 like a 480 axe. You want to gamble your
9:05 axe from thous market. Um, make sure
9:07 you're doing that because you're pretty
9:09 pretty likely going to get like a, you
9:12 know, 450 to 600, maybe even better if
9:13 you get lucky axe uh, when you get to
9:15 maps. And then everything else is just
9:17 like some basic life res. Carnage hard
9:19 is a solid early progression item. Gives
9:21 you attributes, all res, some damage,
9:25 conditional damage of course. Um,
9:30 just like basic basic gear. Um, and then
9:32 for leveling, we are going to be
9:35 leveling with ground slam until level
9:37 12. And then after that, we're going to
9:40 be using Sunder all the way until
9:43 um, Merk Lab. After we get Merk Lab
9:45 quality on our Earth Shatter, we are
9:48 going to swap to it and play that until
9:49 forever, unless you want to swap to
9:52 snaking. Um, so with the gear I've got
9:55 in the POB, we're doing about 6.2 2
9:58 million with the initial hit. And then I
9:59 like to calculate it based on two to
10:01 three spikes hits. You know, if we have
10:04 three spikes, 4.3 mil each spike, we're
10:07 at, you know, 13 mil from that. And
10:09 then, you know, 6 mil from our earth
10:10 shatter. Kind of just depends on the
10:12 boss arena. Really hard to POB earth
10:15 shatter damage, but, you know, getting
10:18 close to 20 million uh on on the setup
10:19 we've got here. And then on the fissure
10:22 setup, if I change the config here and
10:24 the links,
10:26 we're looking at about 20 million on two
10:28 fissures. I know people put three
10:30 fissures in their POB, but like you you
10:32 have to be aiming really well to do
10:35 that. And the third fissure doesn't hit.
10:37 It's the two fissures hit and then the
10:38 traveling portion hits. So, I don't
10:40 really think this is like a real number.
10:42 I like to just put two. So, I'd say it's
10:45 like 20 millionish with no uh with no
10:47 tincture up.
10:51 Um, but yeah, so common things to look
10:54 out for when playing Earth Shatter and
10:56 common mistakes on the build. I put some
10:58 of them in the notes section, but I want
10:59 to talk about them. So, for mana
11:03 management, really important. Um, you
11:04 probably are going to end up using a
11:06 mana flask if you want to autoexert as
11:07 many war cries as I'm planning on
11:09 autoexerting, which is all of them
11:11 except rallying cry. Uh, you're going to
11:13 be using that until you get one Elrion
11:15 craft and a mana leech jewel. And that's
11:17 what I did in my run that I just showed
11:19 you on that character. And then from
11:21 that point, I took off the mana flask,
11:24 used an Ellie Ellie flask instead. Uh,
11:27 and if you get two Elon crafts, let me
11:29 mention what Elon craft is. It's the
11:32 non-ching skills have minus cost. Two
11:35 Elrion crafts means all of your auto
11:38 exerts are free and you can go ahead and
11:40 drop life tap in your links which I use
11:43 at the start of maps and just sustain
11:46 with that that mana leech.
11:47 Now if you're using fissure it's a bit
11:49 more complicated. I would honestly use
11:51 life tap and manlast until you get the
11:54 cheap clever thief annoyant which should
11:56 be right
11:57 which gives you the mana leaf that you
11:59 need. There's some other ways to do it
12:01 as well. You can also use infernal cry
12:05 with mana leash linked to it um uh with
12:10 two Elon crafts. So that is a big one.
12:12 Make sure you are focused on that. And
12:14 then do not use echoes of creation
12:18 please before your gear is pretty good.
12:19 I put some break points here. You also
12:22 want good armor otherwise the self
12:23 damage is going to absolutely blast you
12:26 and you're going to just kill your own
12:28 character a bunch of times.
12:30 Um, but yeah, I think that's pretty much
12:32 it for the POB. If you have any

12:47 At the end of the day, I would say slams
12:48 are probably one of the best starters
12:50 you could go with this league. There's
12:52 not as much war crying anymore, right?
12:53 Like it's just keeping up uh that
12:55 rallying cry. And if you get enough
12:58 reservation, you could even just auto
13:00 exert literally every single war cry if
13:02 you wanted to. But because of Berserker
13:05 ascendy here, uh, Warbringer, it's
13:07 really, really easy to keep up your
13:09 exerts, uh, compared to something like
13:11 Slayer or Chieftain. And it's also
13:13 viable to play this build on those
13:15 ascendancies as well. So, just keep that
13:16 in mind.
13:19 Um, I do think that slams get outscaled
13:22 by other things, definitely defensively,
13:26 but uh, offensively as well, but they
13:28 are really, really, really, really solid
13:29 starters, especially if you want to play
13:32 like Slayer and transition into
13:34 something else later down the line or
13:37 um, may maybe transition into a champion
13:39 build. But you really can't go wrong
13:42 with these and it's it's not nearly as
13:45 complicated to play as uh as it was back
13:47 in the old Slam days as we uh as we
13:50 remember. But yeah, anyway, that's what
