0:04 my name is babaluakova I was born and
0:07 raised in the Eastern Cape I was raised
0:09 in a very spiritual family and that is
0:11 basically the values that I live by
0:13 right now and those are the values that
0:16 have really shaped me as a person and I
0:18 started my articles with the auditor
0:20 general in terms of my professional
0:24 career and after finishing articles I
0:26 stayed on with the auditor general a
0:28 couple of years before leaving to start
0:31 my own firm majali targeted accountants
0:34 in 2015 and when we started the the main
0:36 aim was to provide accounting and
0:39 advisory Services especially to small
0:41 businesses and we later started
0:43 providing Audits and Assurance Services
0:47 as well to the bigger clients what I do
0:49 mostly is to walk the journey with a
0:52 small business and we want to be able to
0:53 measure the growth of a small business
0:55 through you know the The Advisory
0:58 services that we provide them and we
0:59 look at making sure that every client
1:02 that joins in to be part of the majali
1:04 group is that we can see growth through
1:06 their numbers in Revenue we can see
1:08 growth through their numbers and the
1:10 employee head count and we can also see
1:12 growth through their footprint in terms
1:14 of the different areas that they are
1:16 able to service or Supply their goods to
1:18 and that has been one of the successes
1:19 that we've seen throughout the years we
1:22 companies grow as they partner with us
1:24 and we companions can actually grow in
1:26 those three areas as they partner with us
1:27 us
1:29 one of the ways that I have been making
1:31 a difference is through the majali
1:32 lifelong learner fund that we
1:35 established back in 2018 so we work the
1:38 journey with each learner assisting them
1:40 in terms of their financial needs
1:42 assisting them in terms of any emotional
1:44 supports that they need and also
1:46 assisting them in terms of making sure
1:48 that they have the necessary textbooks
1:51 that they have uniforms to be able to
1:54 attend school and until we can see that
1:56 the the learner is successfully placed
1:58 in the market or successfully employed
2:00 in the market and that has been one of
2:03 the biggest contribution we've had as
2:05 much Ali and also one of the best ways
2:07 we can give back and also see the Next
2:10 Generation growing and also be part of
2:12 training and upscaling the Next Generation
2:13 Generation
2:15 advice I would give to Young aspiring
2:17 Chartered Accountants is that you need
2:20 to constantly keep learning you need to
2:22 keep learning new skills you need to
2:24 keep learning and reflecting on the
2:26 things you've learned and improving on
2:28 the mistakes you've made and you also
2:30 need to keep improving on the things you
2:32 already know so always keep going back
2:34 to the reason why you started keep going
2:36 back to the end goal that you want to
2:37 achieve and that's what's going to keep
2:39 you going until you obtain your
