0:32 hormone this is a
0:34 drug i get multiple questions about
0:38 every single day for multiple people
0:39 people are confused by it people think
0:42 um gh is actually a
0:44 stronger anabolic steroid and
0:46 really if we want to really
0:48 differentiate you know anabolic steroids
0:50 are steroidal compounds you know they're
0:52 they have a steroidal backbone they're
0:54 related to testosterone
0:56 whereas growth hormone is a peptide
0:59 hormone it's made from protein
1:01 and it has no
1:02 masculinizing effects it's produced in
1:04 the pituitary gland
1:06 the pituitary gland releases it
1:08 naturally as we're growing obviously we
1:10 produce a lot more growth hormone and
1:11 what growth hormone does it doesn't
1:13 really have a direct
1:16 growing effect or muscle building effect
1:18 what it does is it indirectly stimulates
1:20 the liver to produce a hormone known as
1:23 igf-1 or insulin growth factor or
1:27 insulin-like growth factor one which
1:29 will cause muscle hyperplasia which is
1:31 the production of new muscle cells
1:34 uh it will also you know help the long
1:36 bones to elongate and get bigger you
1:37 know assuming you're in your growth
1:39 years you know once you're
1:40 once your
1:41 i guess
1:43 bone plates are closed you're not going
1:45 to get any more long bone growth which
1:47 means you're not going to grow in height
1:49 but muscle cells can grow and obviously
1:50 when you when you break down muscle
1:51 tissue in the gym it's going to help
1:54 with recovery and so we bodybuilders
1:56 love to take growth hormone but if you
1:58 took growth hormone alone and didn't
2:00 take any other you know anabolic drugs
2:02 with that you probably would be greatly
2:05 disappointed in in the results you get
2:08 from it because gh is not a big muscle
2:10 builder it produces new muscle cells but
2:12 it doesn't make the existing cells get larger
2:13 larger
2:15 like steroids do anabolic steroids
2:17 actually take your existing muscle cells
2:19 and make them bigger
2:21 especially if you break them down in the
2:23 gym and subject them to you know the
2:26 stresses of you know training so
2:26 so
2:29 gh has a better effect when it's used
2:32 synergistically with anabolic steroids
2:34 and we've noticed that over the years
2:36 that when you combine steroids
2:40 and gh you get a better effect and
2:42 that's because the steroids are making
2:44 your cells get bigger but the gh is
2:45 producing new muscle tissue it's
2:47 basically taking what we used to call
2:48 satellite cells now we call them stem
2:49 cells stem cells are just
2:53 undifferentiated cells that sit around
2:54 the muscle that you're training
2:56 and these cells have the potential to
2:59 turn into into the tissue that they're
3:01 near or related to so if you're breaking
3:03 down muscle tissue and you're taking gh
3:06 which is causing igf-1 release
3:08 some of those stem cells will turn into
3:09 new muscle cells
3:11 and add it to your existing cells you
3:13 wouldn't even notice the difference
3:15 because they're they're so small and now
3:17 when you train and work out and eat a
3:18 lot of protein
3:20 and take animals sorry those new cells
3:22 will get bigger so they they work
3:24 together that's really how it goes the
3:26 the questions though i have or i get are
3:29 number one how much should i take
3:30 when should i take it and do i need to
3:32 take insulin with it those are
3:34 invariably the three most common
3:35 questions and they're good questions you know
3:36 know
3:37 how much
3:39 you can't look at what a child would
3:41 take you know you know who's trying to
3:43 grow in height that's not the right
3:45 dosage to look at because
3:47 the dosage needed to make the long bones
3:49 grow is a lot higher than the dosage
3:51 required to
3:53 increase muscle mass so it's a different
3:55 dosage and i think a lot of people make
3:56 mistake they go in and they look up
3:58 online what kids take you know to grow
3:59 and they say oh they're taking all these
4:02 they're taking you know 30 ius a week i
4:03 got to do the same thing but that's not
4:06 necessarily uh or it's you know based on
4:08 you know weight too
4:09 so if when they extrapolate that could
4:12 be like 50 60 i use a week you know that
4:14 an adult would take but that's just not
4:16 the right way to figure it out
4:17 we've figured it out over the years you
4:18 know we've been doing gh has been around
4:20 for a long time now so
4:23 the ideal dosage is usually
4:25 for women it's anywhere from one to two
4:29 ius per day and and and people would say
4:31 well why can't women take more gh well
4:32 you know
4:34 gh doesn't cause masculinizing side
4:35 effects because it's not it's not a
4:37 steroidal compound
4:40 but it does make the facial bones grow
4:42 you know the ears and the nose
4:44 you can get some growth from that and in
4:45 a man you know it might make him look a
4:48 little tougher and a woman probably not
4:50 gonna do
4:52 what she wants it to do to her face it
4:53 could make her face a little thicker
4:55 looking and a lot of women don't want
4:56 that look and it's not attractive
4:58 obviously so you don't want to overdo the
4:59 the
5:01 growth hormone as a woman like i said
5:03 one to two i use per day is is good i i
5:05 see a lot of clients of mine using about
5:09 a gram of 1.5 iu's per day that seems to
5:11 be a nice sweet spot right there and
5:12 that and the good thing about that it
5:13 doesn't really cause too much insulin
5:14 resistance so
5:16 you could take that gh and it's not
5:17 going to affect your blood sugars now
5:19 men are going to want to use a little
5:22 bit more the the lowest effective dose
5:23 where you're going to actually get growth
5:24 growth
5:25 and you're really not gonna have many
5:28 side effects is two i use per day and
5:30 we used to take that back in the 90s
5:32 because the gh was so expensive and you
5:34 just couldn't afford to take more than
5:36 that and everyone got good results from
5:39 it so two i use is effective and it's
5:41 and gh is more effective if you take it
5:43 every day for longer periods of time as
5:45 opposed to doing short cycles of a lot
5:46 of it you know
5:48 and and that's just been proven you know
5:50 when you take too much you just get more
5:51 side effects you really don't get more
5:54 growth so the idea of being on it
5:57 continuously is a much more appealing
5:58 way to do it because you're going to get
6:00 better results also you got to remember
6:02 that when you take a shot of exogenous
6:03 growth hormone
6:06 okay the liver can only respond and
6:08 produce so much igf-1 in response to the
6:10 growth hormone injection so if you take
6:14 30 ius in one shot of gh your liver is
6:16 probably not going to produce any more
6:18 igf-1 than it would if you took say five
6:21 or six ius and so
6:22 you have to take that into account that
6:24 there's a waste factor and then what
6:26 you're just doing is making yourself
6:27 more insulin resistant more water
6:30 attentive you know more pins and needles
6:31 in your fingers and you just keep
6:32 creating more side effects and that's
6:34 the case with any drug i mean people
6:37 people like to od on on everything right
6:39 i mean if you if you take you know a
6:40 thousand or three thousand milligrams of
6:42 vitamin c a day you feel good if you
6:44 take ten thousand or twenty thousand you
6:46 might have a stomach ulcer okay so
6:49 there's a diminishing returns so i found
6:51 that the ideal dosage is about two to
6:54 five ius per day of gh
6:56 with probably four ius being the sweet
6:57 spot meaning that you get the best
6:59 benefits with the least side effects
7:00 because once you start going over four
7:03 ius per day you might get a little more
7:04 growth but you also get a lot more side
7:06 effects and what are some of these side
7:07 effects you know fluid retention obviously
7:08 obviously
7:10 pins and needles in the hands they kind
7:12 of fall asleep during the day um
7:12 um
7:14 you know blood pressure can go up if
7:15 obviously you're retaining a lot of
7:17 fluid from the gh which a lot of people do
7:19 do
7:20 and that's not good but probably the most
7:21 most
7:23 maybe harmful long term is is the fact that
7:24 that
7:25 the more growth hormone you put into
7:27 your bloodstream
7:29 and gh can have an antagonistic effect
7:31 to insulin meaning that insulin can't do
7:33 its job insulin's job is to take the
7:35 sugar in the blood and push it into the
7:38 cells whether the muscle cells the liver
7:40 cells the brain cells
7:43 or the fat cells to produce stores fat
7:44 that's its job but if it can't get to
7:47 the receptor because there's too much gh
7:49 which is antagonizing the effects of
7:51 insulin which means it's blocking in a
7:53 sense to a certain degree your body has
7:55 to then produce more insulin and what
7:57 that does is it puts a tremendous strain
7:59 on the pancreas and if you're already
8:01 eating an enormous amount of food as a
8:03 bodybuilder especially in the off-season
8:05 and now you're creating more of a demand
8:07 for your pancreas to produce insulin
8:08 what can happen is the beta cells which
8:10 produce insulin in the pancreas can burn
8:12 out and that that's not something you
8:13 want to happen because
8:14 then they don't work right and then you
8:16 don't absorb your food and then you run
8:17 high blood sugars and you get side
8:19 effects from high blood sugars like eye
8:22 damage kidney damage extremity damage
8:23 the blood vessels get gunked up with
8:27 this glucose that's in the
8:28 excessive amount of glucose it's in the
8:30 bloodstream we don't want to do that so
8:33 we have to be smart so like i said three
8:35 to four i use gh probably the sweet spot
8:37 for i use being sweet but i usually use
8:38 four eye user guys in the off season
8:41 three i use pre-conference plus it makes
8:42 it a little more affordable too because
8:44 the stuff is expensive if you get real
8:46 gh that is i mean if you're buying fake
8:48 gh and you're getting a good deal on it
8:49 then you're really not getting any
8:51 benefits out of it even though you're
8:52 not spending as much money so
8:55 um i do sell a growth hormone testing

8:58 your growth phone and see if it's real
9:00 because i would say 50 of the stuff
9:03 floating around out there is is fake and
9:05 don't don't believe or trust anything
9:07 anyone says like i had a test you tested
9:09 tested you're going to spend and invest
9:10 a couple thousand dollars in growth
9:11 hormone you could spend another 100
9:13 bucks and test the gh to make sure that
9:16 it it works because it's real and you
9:17 know and that's important but getting
9:19 back to the insulin question is do you
9:20 need insulin well
9:22 the question is what are your blood sugars
9:23 sugars
9:24 a lot of people just knee-jerk start
9:25 doing things and they don't even know
9:27 what the data is you know so go to walmart
9:29 walmart
9:30 if you don't live in the united states
9:31 and you don't have walmart you can find
9:33 a comparable store but walmart in the
9:35 united states sells blood testing kits
9:38 or blood glucometers for like nine bucks
9:40 maybe it's up to ten dollars now they're
9:42 really cheap and you gotta get the test
9:44 strips to go with that particular
9:46 glucose monitor and you can test your
9:47 blood sugar every morning and that's
9:48 called your fasting blood sugars before
9:51 you eat anything and fasting blood sugar
9:53 should be under 90. okay
9:55 i know if you go for blood blood work it
9:56 says that they need to be under 100 but that's
9:57 that's
9:59 that's like for people who
10:01 don't want to be super healthy okay you
10:03 want to be under 90 on a regular basis
10:04 and if you're running high blood sugars
10:06 that are in the 90s or even in the
10:08 hundreds which i see a lot of people on
10:10 a regular basis running
10:12 faster blood sugars 110 105 those are
10:14 those are too high
10:15 that means your body's not managing its
10:17 blood sugar properly and it could be
10:19 because you're on gh it could just be
10:20 that you're eating a lot of food and
10:22 your body can't keep up with the with
10:23 the insulin production
10:24 and there's two negatives because of
10:26 that number one you're not absorbing
10:28 your food properly okay which is gonna
10:30 inhibit growth in a sense
10:31 and i noticed that when i used to use gh
10:33 back in the day i couldn't gain any
10:34 weight i would be ripped i couldn't gain
10:36 weight and i realized that and i didn't
10:37 even we didn't have glucometers back then
10:38 then
10:40 no one had only type 1 diabetics had
10:41 them and i didn't even know how to i
10:42 wouldn't even know what to do with them
10:44 to be honest with you but i did notice
10:45 that when i put in
10:48 some insulin into my protocol
10:50 i was i started gaining weight again i
10:51 didn't use a lot but i was using enough
10:53 to help my body absorb the food and i
10:55 was eating an enormous amount of food
10:56 back in the days had a very fast
10:58 metabolism nowadays we can quantify
11:00 what's going on get a blood sugar monitor
11:01 monitor
11:04 and you basically just test your blood
11:06 sugar every morning and you know if your
11:09 blood sugar is in the right range
11:11 then you're good if you're under 90 if
11:14 you're not you're running 96 98
11:17 you might want to think about getting a
11:19 what we call a long acting or basal insulin
11:20 insulin
11:23 these insulins are basically made
11:24 they're not like the insulin you think
11:26 of i take a shot off i don't eat i'm
11:27 going to go low blood sugar now these
11:29 are long-acting insulins that work in
11:31 the background what it basically does is
11:33 it takes the burden off your pancreas
11:35 off your beta cells having to produce so
11:37 much insulin during the day and it gives
11:39 them a rest in a sense so instead of you
11:41 and i'm just going to give you like a
11:43 fictitious number let's say your
11:45 pancreas produces 200 units of insulin a
11:46 day okay
11:48 and now you're taking growth hormone and
11:50 you're eating more food because you're
11:51 bulking up and now it needs to produce
11:53 300 but it's only really capable of
11:56 producing 200 maybe 250. so now there's
11:58 50 units it's short so now you're going
12:00 to start running high blood sugars now
12:02 if you take a long-acting insulin maybe
12:03 50 units
12:06 you know per day 25 in the morning 25 at
12:08 night i'm just giving you for instance
12:09 these are not real numbers
12:11 now you've
12:13 helped the pancreas
12:14 produce what it's missing
12:16 and so now it's going to still produce
12:18 it's 250 but now you it has 50 that
12:21 you've taken extra on top of that and
12:22 now it's now your blood sugars are back
12:24 to normal because the pancreas can
12:25 handle that load
12:27 and that's what that's what long acting
12:28 insulin is all about and i'm going to do
12:31 another video on insulin uh with my um
12:33 my insulin guru as i call it collette
12:35 nelson in the coming probably next week
12:38 we're going to do uh an updated insulin
12:39 video because there's a lot of new
12:40 insulins out that a lot of people don't
12:42 even know about so
12:44 right now i think that the best
12:45 long-acting insulin on the market and
12:47 she would probably agree with me is toshiba
12:48 toshiba
12:49 but it's also the most expensive and
12:51 hardest to get
12:53 so a lot of people use other insulins
12:56 like uh toujeho is very close to toshiba
12:59 atlantis but these insulins need to be
13:00 taken twice a day even though the
13:02 doctors will save their 24-hour insulins
13:04 they're really not so you need to take
13:06 them at night in the morning and
13:09 depending on you know your size and how
13:11 much you you you know how big you are
13:13 and how much you're eating that will
13:15 dictate how much insulin your body needs
13:16 and we're going to do a separate video
13:17 on insulin i'm not going to talk about
13:20 insulin but i will say that toshiba is a
13:22 true 24-hour insulin you can take it
13:23 once a day
13:25 and usually tell people to start out
13:27 with about 10 ius a day and just see how
13:28 your body does on that if your blood
13:30 sugars are still running high you up it
13:32 by like two hours a day until you kind
13:33 of get into that range where you get it
13:35 down under 90.
13:37 and this is once again just helping your
13:39 body it's not a performance enhancer you
13:41 although you might get some muscle
13:42 growth from it because now you're restoring
13:44 restoring
13:45 your normal uh
13:47 blood sugar balance in your body because
13:48 you're actually absorbing all the all
13:50 the food you're eating so you will get a
13:52 little surge and possibly muscle growth
13:54 but it's not the insulin that's giving
13:56 you the growth it's the it's restoring
13:57 the insulin balance and remember the
14:00 more gh you take the more insulin you're
14:01 probably going to need to take as well
14:03 because to counteract it so you don't
14:05 want to take too much insulin where
14:06 you're putting too much of it so you
14:07 don't want to take too much growth
14:09 hormone we're going to put too much of a
14:10 strain on the body and you're going to
14:12 have to take too much insulin because
14:13 excessive insulin is not good either
14:15 because even though long-acting insulins
14:17 don't really result in fat gain like
14:19 short-acting ones do
14:20 you never want to have to take extra
14:22 insulin above and beyond what you're
14:23 doing so it's all about the right
14:25 balance so
14:27 if you're looking to put some muscle
14:29 size on you have the funds to do it and
14:32 you have a source of real growth hormone
14:34 ideally four ius per day is probably the
14:36 sweet spot um in an offseason scenario
14:38 probably two i use in the morning and
14:41 two i use maybe for six hours later now
14:43 why take it early in the morning because
14:44 your body doesn't naturally produce gh
14:46 in the morning so why would you do that well
14:47 well
14:48 that's the exact reason why because your
14:50 body isn't producing it in the morning
14:52 it does produce it at night and it does
14:54 produce it after you train so you don't
14:55 want to take it those times because your
14:57 body's naturally releasing at those
15:00 times your body is the most catabolic in
15:01 the morning meaning you produce the most
15:03 catabolic hormones like cortisol in the
15:06 morning uh hours so if you can take some
15:07 growth hormone and counteract some of
15:10 that uh catabolicness or metabolism
15:12 that's going on in your body then you're
15:14 obviously going to get a better growth
15:15 effect another thing people don't
15:16 realize is that it doesn't matter what
15:18 you're eating or not eating when you
15:20 take your gh shot because you're not
15:21 trying to stimulate growth hormone release
15:22 release
15:23 what you're trying to do is you're
15:25 actually taking the growth hormone so a
15:27 lot of people get confused
15:28 well gh is naturally released in your
15:30 body in a low carb environment so i
15:33 better not eat any carbs well
15:35 you're not trying to induce gh release
15:37 you're taking the growth hormone itself
15:38 so it doesn't really matter what you're
15:40 eating or not eating matter of fact when
15:42 you first take gh you do get a blood
15:44 sugar drop initially because when you
15:46 get that igf-1 release from the liver
15:48 that has an insulin-like effect and it
15:49 drives nutrients into the cells and that
15:51 can sometimes lower your blood sugar so
15:52 you got to be careful i always tell
15:54 people to take the growth hormone when
15:56 you're eating so take a shot eat your
15:57 breakfast you know don't take a shot and
15:59 then go do cardio first thing in the
16:01 morning do your cardio first then take
16:03 your shot and eat breakfast and that's a
16:05 smarter way to go
16:06 so there's a lot of you know there's a
16:07 lot of questions around insulin what's
16:09 the i mean around growth hormone what's
16:11 the best growth hormone well the best
16:13 growth hormone is real growth hormones
16:15 if you have a real growth hormone that's
16:18 truly dosed they're all the same because
16:21 gh is gh the same 191 amino acids sequence
16:22 sequence
16:24 anything that's pharmaceutical obviously
16:26 is going to be better quality you know
16:28 but there are pharmaceutical fakes too
16:30 there's serrano makes serous dim there's
16:33 genentech makes neutrophin uh eli lilly
16:36 i believe still makes uh hemotrope and
16:38 then there's nordotropin over in europe
16:40 and gentropin and there's
16:42 there's a lot of different ones out
16:43 there and then you got your generics
16:45 that come from you know from china and
16:47 and some of them are good and some of
16:48 them are not but
16:49 test them
16:51 number one to make sure they're real but
16:53 even if they're real they could be under
16:54 dosed so
16:56 that's something you have to consider
16:57 but if you're getting a tremendous
16:59 tremendously cheap price on something
17:01 compared to what a pharmaceutical price
17:02 would be
17:04 you might want to opt for that as long
17:06 as it tests out but it's real however
17:08 the on the other side of the coin
17:09 you might want to stick with the
17:11 pharmaceutical grade and just use less
17:12 all right you know what it's a lot more
17:13 expensive but at least you know it's
17:16 real so two i use is really two i use i
17:18 can justify using two i use every day of
17:20 pharmaceutical gh because at least i
17:22 know i'm getting real growth hormone and
17:24 so i think if i was you know competing
17:25 and taking growth hormone in this day
17:27 and age i probably would go with the
17:28 pharmaceutical grade spend the extra
17:31 money but just use a little less of it
17:33 um because you could be taking chinese
17:35 gh to test positive for being real gh
17:37 but you know you might think you're
17:38 taking six i use and you might be taking
17:40 one eye you don't know so
17:42 i don't i don't like that i always like
17:44 to know everything you know i don't i
17:45 don't like to be in the dark about
17:47 what's going on because here you are
17:49 thinking you're taking a nice healthy gh
17:51 dose and you could be taking nothing so
17:53 it's something to think about hopefully
