0:02 welcome to the second part of our cimba
0:06 farm cultivation um sometimes ago I did
0:08 a video on cimba farm and I wasn't able
0:10 to cover everything about cimba because
0:12 cimba is a whole lot and I decided to
0:14 divide the video into two so this is
0:17 going to serve as a part two of the
0:19 video If you haven't seen the part one
0:21 please go um look for it in my channel
0:23 and then you will find it somewhere
0:25 right there so today I will be
0:28 discussing talking about taking um farm
0:31 management and and cost that you
0:34 expected to have say you're setting up
0:37 um an acre of cucumba farm and also the
0:40 profits that you expected to also have
0:43 on that particular cucumba farm and I
0:45 also be talking about the um tiny
0:48 mistakes that you might not even take
0:50 note of that you're likely to make these
0:52 are mistakes that we made on on our
0:54 cucumba farm and I'm going to really
0:57 really um be spelling these mistakes out
0:59 here because in as much as they are
1:00 something that you you might want to
1:02 neglect it it's very very important that
1:04 you take note of these mistakes and do
1:06 not make this mistake so let's talk
1:10 about the staking okay um there actually
1:13 two two things that you that are common
1:16 with um that we usually use for the
1:19 staking you can either use a staking net
1:22 or you make use of um your twine your
1:25 binding wire and your bamboo so this
1:28 combination of this or either the steaky
1:32 net so for the n it makes your job your
1:35 job um easier and faster it's more
1:38 expensive but issue with saking net is
1:40 it's always very annoying by the time
1:43 your ccum B are like say um 5 weeks old
1:46 you start seeing the net dropping and
1:49 it's really it's really not that strong
1:52 enough to hold your cucumbers so most
1:54 times the Nets are either tearing off or
1:57 your cooking bars are falling off they
1:59 just cannot hold the cooking bar so I
2:01 don't know if there are stronger net out
2:03 there but the ones that been able to
2:05 make use of here they are not always as
2:08 useful as um the staking rope and The
2:10 Binding wire and the bamboo combined
2:12 together so if you're not going for the
2:14 staking net you can um go for the
2:19 staking rope the bamboo and um The
2:20 Binding wire so what you want to do you
2:26 want to um um size your bamboo um into
2:32 say 2.5 M to 3 3 m I um it depends on
2:34 what you have available on the farm but
2:36 don't go beyond this eyes and don't go
2:40 be below it so um you want to um God
2:45 Almighty so you just um um you just put
2:49 each off so you have um the four bamboo
2:55 sticks on a 50 m um long
2:58 um you just put at 10 m
3:00 m
3:03 so that's how you are going to do for
3:06 the B bamboo F then you also have your
3:09 binding wire go over the bamboo sticks
3:12 just like a close line so that's it and
3:15 then you STI you st follow the procedure
3:19 in the video and that is it um for your
3:21 staking when are you supposed to steak
3:23 you Stak as soon as your crops are like
3:27 2 weeks old we have our cumba farm this
3:30 on already overdue for sing
3:33 so it's it's late already so but we are
3:36 going to still use this so this is our our
3:37 our
3:39 twine yeah steaking rope that's what we
3:41 call it but if you want to buy it in the
3:44 market say you want to buy it
3:49 so um here is our sing rope so we'll be
3:51 making use of this and this is our
3:54 binding Wire yeah our binding wire so
3:57 making use of this also so you just line
3:59 it down to the other side of the your
4:02 cucumber farm and then so we are going
4:06 to start with one of this
4:12 plant so you just um look for a way to
4:13 now you're supposed to do this before
4:15 this plant start crawling you're
4:17 supposed to do it when they are still
4:20 very um small like
4:24 after 2 weeks you're going to stick so
4:26 you just sty like this give it some
4:29 space that when your plants are getting
4:31 bigger they will have um this will not
4:33 hinder it from from getting widening so
4:37 you just um tie like this and give it
4:41 some space so you look for a way
4:43 to um tie your your ropes around the
4:47 cucumber plants just guide plants
4:50 up around J like
4:55 this and then you can tie it up to
4:57 your um binding wire
5:01 here so this
5:05 is um the easiest way you can use your
5:07 saking room you don't want to use the
5:12 steaking net for your yeah for your um
5:16 steaking so this is way cheaper
5:21 and um easier yeah it's
5:24 easier so the moment is start SE your
5:26 cumas that are falling off they no
5:28 longer standing erect you know that
5:31 you're supposed to start staking so
5:33 sometimes you um you might be tempted to
5:36 stti too early there's a problem with
5:38 saking too early if you STI too early
5:40 you are likely to pull your cucumbers
5:41 because they are still very young and
5:43 fragile so you are likely to pull your
5:47 cucumber um plants if you stake too
5:49 early and there's also problem with
5:51 staking too late if you Stak too late
5:53 say when the plants are 3 weeks old or
5:56 even more um at that point they
6:00 already they've already taken up um some
6:03 fungi from the the soil that they've you
6:05 know at this point they must have fallen
6:07 and already crawling they crawling plant
6:09 yeah so they are going to already pick
6:13 ups pick up some um fungi and you have
6:15 issues you have to you start needing to
6:19 spray Fungicide and the rest so it is
6:21 always advisable that as soon as your
6:24 plants are two weeks old you begin to
6:26 spray uh you begin to Stak as soon as
6:29 your plant are two weeks old you begin
6:32 to stake the farm basically you need to
6:33 have it at the back of your mind that
6:36 you are not supposed to stake too early
6:37 and then you're are not supposed to Stak
6:41 too late I think we have a um a training
6:44 coming up on the farm um we'll be having
6:47 a practical class on how to stick your
6:49 cooking bar so if you are interested put
6:51 it down in the comment section that you
6:54 are interested um type something like I
6:57 am interested in cucumba farm training
6:59 and I'll give you all the details that
7:01 that you need meanwhile if you just
7:03 joining this channel this is for
7:06 Elizabeth I talk about farming I talk
7:09 about agriculture I give Farm tips AG
7:11 business and everything around the plant
7:14 so you're welcome please do have to like
7:16 this video to encourage me and also
7:18 subscribe please subscribe to this
7:20 channel to encourage me all right so
7:23 let's go to the next on my list I have
7:26 cost and profit of cumba say you are
7:28 setting up a an acre of cumba what are
7:32 you expected to spend now it depends on
7:34 the um irrigation system that you're
7:36 adopting if you're going for a standard
7:39 irrigation system you will be spending
7:42 nothing less than 800k now this is aside
7:44 your water source I don't know whatever
7:46 water source you are using it depends if
7:49 you making use of um say you have River
7:51 body close to your land that's a plus
7:54 for you but if you don't have you need
7:57 to either um have an industrial b or
7:59 something that can give you enough water
8:02 for your cucumbers so if this aside you
8:04 are going to be spending say roughly
8:08 800k from the pumping machine to um the
8:12 fatig system to the land to the labor
8:17 and everything roughly 800k or less or
8:21 more so um you can also bring down your
8:25 budget it depends on you but you you
8:28 might be needing to do um a lot of
8:30 serious work if you you are not going to
8:33 be setting up a standard um cimba farm
8:35 so basically you'll be spending plus or
8:39 minus 800k to set up a standard Kimba
8:42 Farm as at now this is not um inclusive
8:45 of the labor um say the labor throughout
8:50 the the um time of cultivation so
8:53 basically 800,000 there now let's go to
8:56 um The Profit analysis I would advise
8:59 that you um do a standard cimba Farm if
9:01 you want to do cucumba business except
9:02 of course if you want to try with the
9:04 raining season in that you might not
9:06 need so much of um systems to be set on
9:09 the farm now let's go to um The Profit
9:11 that you expected to get from your 1
9:14 acre cumba Farm the profit in cumba farm
9:16 is almost unpredictable because we have
9:18 the glut season and we also have the
9:21 season that it's at the peak this um
9:24 fluctuation is kind of not giving us
9:26 correct prediction for the profit that
9:28 you're supposed to get but in the dry
9:30 season okay let me talk about the
9:31 rainning season which is like the worst
9:34 case in Europe for your profit the
9:36 raining season cumbas are always very
9:38 much available in the markets they're
9:39 everywhere so you don't get to sell your
9:43 cucumbers at a high price so say for for
9:46 an acre of farm to have at least 350
9:49 bags to say 400 bags from an acre if you
9:53 plant a good variety yeah so um say we
9:55 are now selling the bag a bag of cimba
9:58 during the rainy season goes for say um
10:02 5,000 to 2005 and even sometimes you can
10:04 have a b day and they will be pricing
10:06 your cooking for like 2,000 or 1,5 yes
10:10 you heard me right 2,000 1,5 it can be
10:11 that bad let's just assume that we
10:14 selling our cooking for like 4,000 per
10:18 bag and we have three um 50 bags from
10:21 the all of our production yeah that's
10:23 how much this do the
10:26 calculation calculation my head cannot
10:27 carry anything at the moment so that
10:30 should be around 1 for I don't know if
10:34 I'm right so that should be 1.4 million
10:37 NAA um remove your expenses that's for
10:39 the first B that's is that about cooking
10:42 bar fing in the rainy season it's
10:45 always um not so palatable for Farmers
10:48 but in the dry season farmers are Kings
10:50 like we are in charge in the dry season
10:52 a bag of cim has a chicken bag now I
10:55 don't know the Chen feedback yeah
10:57 sometimes it goes for like say from
11:02 7,000 5,000 to like 8,000 per bag um in
11:05 the market so farmers are always smiling
11:08 home during the dry season but we put in
11:10 the work also during the dry season so
11:12 for instance here we have 350 bags of
11:15 cumba from our 1 acre Farm we are going
11:17 to be having like
11:20 um um okay let's assume that we sell for like
11:21 like
11:23 7,000 you can calculate it yourself
11:26 whatever the figure is so that's your um
11:29 revenue and you also get your profit
11:32 from from that so during the Rainy um
11:34 the dry season cucumba is always very
11:39 very high because we are always um cumba
11:41 is always very scarce and so it's very
11:43 expensive in the market so you can
11:45 decide to do cumba during the dry season
11:48 and you are you're definitely going to
11:50 make a lot of money from cimba but you
11:53 need to put in the work I would advise
11:55 that if you are going into cucumba
11:59 farming please um you need to put
12:04 um set up um a system for fatig and also
12:06 set up a system for proper irrigation of
12:09 the farm because basically um these are
12:12 the things that really really put people
12:14 on the path of failure if they are not
12:18 um well carried out so um I would advise
12:21 that you set up your irrigation system
12:22 especially if you're doing the dry
12:24 season in Kumba but if you are doing the
12:25 raining season you don't really need so
12:28 much you just need to intensify your um
12:33 spray of Fungicide and insecticide so
12:36 that's that about the profit for cimba
12:38 farming now I would also want to talk
12:41 about the mistakes this is very very
12:43 very very important it is very important
12:47 because this things can ruin the your
12:50 entire process your entire investment so
12:51 some some mistakes that you're supposed
12:54 to avoid as a cucumba farmer I would
12:56 list out this mistakes for you these are
12:58 actually things that we did on the farm
13:01 we learned from them and I want to um
13:03 bring it up here for you so that you
13:06 will not also make the same mistakes in
13:09 your um cimba Farm journey I don't have
13:10 them in any particular order so I'll
13:13 just say it as it comes to my head first
13:16 of all do not never ever ever ever
13:18 transplant um Under the Sun so when it's
13:20 Sun it do not transplant if you doing if
13:23 you're going to be using um seedling tra
13:25 to raise your seedlings do not
13:27 transplant during the the day when it is
13:29 sunning always transplant in the evening
13:31 and wet immediately secondly do not
13:34 plant more than two plots if you are
13:36 just starting out so if this is your
13:38 first time of trying cim but do not
13:40 plant more than two plots highest you
13:42 can go is three plots because this is a
13:45 period for you to learn for you to
13:46 understand the system yourself all of
13:48 these things I'm giving in this video
13:50 you can't really grab everything until
13:52 you go to the field and experiment
13:53 yourself until you go to the field and
13:55 get this experience yourself and that's
13:58 when you learn and learn to adjust so do
14:01 not not plant more than two plots if you
14:03 want to if this is your first time of
14:07 planting cimba um the third mistake on
14:10 coming to my head is a lot of people
14:13 like to skip Farm routine and management
14:16 like you are supposed to spray today you
14:17 you are supposed to spray every four
14:19 four days and then you spray today and
14:21 in the next four days you be like well I
14:24 would do it um maybe the next day it is
14:27 very wrong this Kimba they they do not
14:28 understand such language what they want
14:30 is give them what you're supposed to
14:31 give them at the time when you're
14:33 supposed to give them another mistake
14:34 okay this is not a mistake this is just
14:37 an advice yeah if you are in the USA you
14:40 in the UK or you in any other place
14:43 other than where your cucumba farm is
14:44 you don't have anything to do with
14:46 cucumba farming please don't come close
14:48 to it don't don't go and give one of
14:50 your brother money don't go and give one
14:51 of your brother your sister money that
14:53 okay okay come to farm cooking B
14:55 somewhere in the USA it doesn't work
14:57 that way a lot of people that do that
15:00 they they get their end born
15:02 like except if you have somebody who is
15:04 trusted like really really 100% trusted
15:06 that this person will be able to manage
15:10 your farm just like it is their own else
15:12 if you if you cannot if if you're are
15:14 not certain of this please do not come
15:17 close to Kimba Kimba farming is not for
15:18 you people that are in the USA or in the
15:21 UK it's not the one that you come on you
15:23 send money down now somebody will come
15:24 and do rubbish on the farm for you and
15:26 you you be expecting return it doesn't
15:28 always end well so if you're not close
15:31 to the farm or you cannot visit the farm
15:34 as uh many times as possible in the week
15:37 please do not go close to cumba farm
15:39 don't leave your your farm to Farm
15:42 Workers or Farm managers to help you to
15:45 handle you need to yes you can basically
15:47 yeah you you need to get them on the
15:49 farm yes but you need to also visit the
15:53 farm as often as you can because um a
15:55 lot of things go wrong on the farm and
15:58 they will never tell you some most of
15:59 them will never tell tell you and so you
16:03 need to always be on the farm lastly if
16:04 you don't have a strong
16:07 irrigation source of irrigation please
16:09 don't go close to cumba don't start it
16:11 if your irrigation system is not strong
16:14 enough if you don't have um enough water
16:18 at least 6,000 lit in a day do not go
16:21 close to cucumba farming all right so
16:23 this will be all on Kimba farming like I
16:26 said before I have a training I don't
16:29 know if it's on already or if if it's um
16:33 if it's not not started yet but um if
16:35 you're interested in Practical cucumba
16:38 farming you can just say it in the um
16:40 comment section that you are interested
16:43 and I'll give you details about it if it
16:46 is still on all right if you haven't
16:47 subscribed to this Channel please
16:49 subscribe to this Channel and also like
16:51 this video so that so many people who
16:53 want to go into cumba farming will be
16:56 able to access the video thank you very
16:58 much for watching my video I'm going to
16:59 meet you
17:02 next time and I am roting for you in
