1:22 today in what will go down in
1:26 history as the greatest demonstration
1:46 ago a great American in whose symbolic
1:49 Shadow We Stand
1:58 Proclamation this momentous decree
2:02 came as a great Beacon Light Of Hope to
2:04 millions of negro
2:08 slaves who had been seared in the Flames
2:11 of withering
2:15 Injustice it came as a joyous
2:26 captivity but 100 years
2:32 later the Negro still is not
2:35 free 100 years
2:38 later the life of the Negro is still
2:42 sadly crippled by the manacles of
2:46 segregation and the chains of
2:49 discrimination 100 years later the Negro
2:53 lives on a lonely island of poverty in
2:57 the midst of a vast ocean of material
3:01 pros this nation will will rise up and
3:04 live out the true meaning of its
3:07 Creed we hold these truths to be
3:22 equal I have a
3:25 dream that one day on the Red Hills of
3:29 Georgia the sons of former slaves and
3:32 the sons of former slave owners will be

3:55 Oppression will be transformed into an
3:58 oasis of freedom and Justice I have a dream
4:01 dream
4:04 and my four little
4:06 children will one day live in a nation
4:08 where they will not be judged by the
4:10 color of their skin but by the content
4:26 today I have a dream that one day
4:28 day
4:32 down in Alabama with its vicious
4:36 races with its Governor having his lips
4:38 dripping with the words of interposition and
4:39 and
4:41 nullification one day right there in
4:44 Alabama little black boys and black
4:46 girls will be able to draw hands with
4:48 little white boys and white girls as
5:00 today I have a dream that one day every
5:02 Valley shall be
5:05 exalted every Hill and Mountain shall be
5:07 made low the rough places will be made
5:09 plain and the Crooked places will be
5:11 made string and the glory of the Lord

5:27 heue out of the Mountain of Despair a
5:30 stone of Hope with this

5:35 jangling discords of our nation into a
5:38 beautiful Symphony of Brotherhood with
5:41 this faith we will be able to work
5:43 together to pray together to struggle
5:46 together to go to jail together to stand
5:49 up for Freedom together knowing that we
