0:16 for companies to get value and impact
0:19 out of generative AI it's crucial that
0:21 people in the in the company are
0:24 actually using the AI otherwise nothing
0:26 will happen. So what's your experience
0:28 with this? I've been working with
0:31 Redbana here in Norway on an AI adoption
0:34 project. So when we first started out,
0:36 we did a baseline survey with the
0:38 employees on their weekly use frequency
0:40 of the tools that they had available. In
0:44 February, that was 36% and by the end of
0:46 the program that we ran uh in end of
0:50 April, it was 71%. So a doubling a
0:52 doubling. But what did you do to achieve
0:55 this? Well, we did several things. Um
0:58 three key takeaways I would say is one
1:01 top management anchoring. So we had the
1:04 top management um being sponsors but
1:06 also good road models for what they want
1:08 to achieve within their employee group.
1:12 So being uh open about and encouraging
1:15 everyone to use AI. They also assigned
1:18 AI ambassadors on the ground floor so
1:20 that they had both top down approach but
1:22 also bottom up where you build the
1:25 culture in between. So the top manager
1:27 made it safe for everybody to use the
1:28 tools because they were using them
1:30 themselves and communicating a lot and
1:32 then at the same time you had people on
1:35 the ground regular employees who knows
1:36 about AI who could teach and help
1:38 others. So what are the two other
1:41 points? So the second point was that we
1:44 made tailored training programs. So that
1:46 was all about understanding what the
1:48 employees tasks were, what type of
1:50 processes, their pain points obviously,
1:52 but also what type of tools and what the
1:54 functionality in those tools allowed
1:57 them to do. So we tailored all of that
1:59 training and created a training program
2:01 for them. So this is not a general
2:03 program where everybody gets the same
2:05 information, but it's tailored so that
2:07 people actually get support for the
2:09 tasks that they are doing and in that
2:11 sense making it easy for them to master
2:13 the tools on their own work. The third
2:16 tip which is actually a genius move that
2:19 Lebana had already made was to combine
2:22 HR and IT as functions. So that is all
2:24 about understanding that you cannot
2:27 implement a technology in a silo where
2:29 you have change management in another
2:31 silo that needs to be done in tandem
2:33 because if you want to make technology
2:36 an adopted practice then you need to
2:38 understand how humans adopt that
2:40 technology. So people responsible for
2:43 the tools and for change management in
2:45 the same place. Exactly. If you are
2:47 interested in using this approach in
2:50 your own organization, get in touch. [Music]
