0:26 questions, especially when he realizes
0:28 he can't move his body at all. Before he
0:30 can think too deeply about it, a status
0:33 screen suddenly appears in front of him.
0:35 When he reads it, he freezes in shock
0:37 because it clearly states that he is a
0:39 dragon egg. This completely confuses
0:41 him. His stat window then fully opens
0:43 and a divine voice announces that this
0:45 window displays all of his current
0:48 abilities along with numerical values to
0:50 make them easier to understand. Still
0:52 confused, he tries talking to the divine
0:55 voice, demanding an explanation for what
0:56 the hell is going on. However, the
0:59 divine voice calmly responds that it
1:01 cannot explain anything yet because he
1:03 is still level one. This only annoys him
1:05 further. In his frustration, he shakes
1:07 his body slightly which causes him to
1:10 fall from the tree he was resting in. He
1:11 hits the ground and begins rolling
1:14 downhill uncontrollably until he finally
1:16 reaches a river. As he sits there, he
1:18 realizes he can see his reflection in
1:20 the water. When he looks closely, he's
1:22 shocked to see that his reflection
1:24 really is a dragon egg. Seeing how lost
1:27 he is, the divine voice decides to cut
1:29 him some slack and finally gives him a
1:31 proper explanation of his situation. It
1:34 explains that he is indeed a dragon egg,
1:36 which in this world is classified as an
1:38 F-rank monster. If his shell were to
1:39 completely break, he would die
1:42 instantly, meaning he was already taking
1:44 a big risk by creating that small
1:46 eyehole. The divine voice continues
1:48 explaining that even though dragon eggs
1:50 are at the very bottom of the food
1:52 chain, they have the potential to grow
1:54 into fearsome dragons over time.
1:56 However, that only happens if they
1:58 manage to survive long enough. Since
2:00 dragon eggs are considered a popular
2:03 delicacy among monsters, because dragon
2:05 eggs obviously don't have legs, the only
2:07 way they can move is by rolling. Even
2:09 after hearing all of this, he still
2:10 doesn't fully understand what's
2:12 happening to him. Deciding that staying
2:15 in one place is too dangerous, he starts
2:17 rolling away at full speed, trying to
2:19 get as far as possible. Unfortunately,
2:21 this only leads to him rolling off a
2:23 small cliff. He's been falling a lot
2:25 lately, and because of this, the system
2:27 announces that his fall resistance has
2:30 increased from level one to level two.
2:32 Even so, the fall still reduces his HP,
2:34 reminding him that he needs to be more
2:37 careful. Realizing he's injured and
2:39 exhausted, he decides to take a nap to
2:41 recover. As expected, when he wakes up,
2:44 his HP is completely restored. This
2:46 confirms for him that sleeping fully
2:48 refills his health bar, which at least

4:00 down the slope below and dies instantly.
4:02 This becomes the very first battle he
4:04 has ever won. The system immediately
4:06 announces that he has gained 12
4:08 experience points and has now reached
4:10 level five. Because of that, all of his
4:12 stats are fully maxed out. On top of
4:14 that, he has met the requirements for
4:16 evolution, giving him the option to
4:18 choose between evolving into a baby
4:20 dragon or a little dragon. Since he has
4:22 no idea what the actual difference
4:25 between the two is, the system steps in
4:26 and explains it to him. The little
4:29 dragon is described as a dwarf breed of
4:31 dragon. While it's considered small
4:33 compared to other dragons, its fully
4:35 grown size is still larger than that of
4:37 a bear, and it's widely known for its
4:40 powerful fire breath attack. As for the
4:42 baby dragon, the system explains that it
4:44 isn't very well suited for battle due to
4:47 its short claws and fangs. However, it
4:49 possesses immense potential and can
4:51 eventually evolve into many different
4:53 species of dragons. Naturally, baby
4:55 dragons are considered a prized delicacy
4:58 by both monsters and adventurers alike,
5:00 which means they are constantly hunted
5:02 wherever they appear. As expected, he
5:04 chooses the little dragon because it's
5:06 clearly the much safer option for
5:08 survival. However, immediately after
5:10 making his choice, the divine voice
5:13 places its arms around him and tells him
5:15 not to limit himself. It explains that
5:17 it has high expectations for him and
5:19 that he should always aim for the very
5:21 top. Hearing this leaves him feeling
5:23 confused. He starts wondering if the
5:25 divine voice only said that because he
5:27 chose the little dragon simply because
5:29 it was the safer option rather than
5:32 taking a risk. He recalls how the system
5:34 mentioned that the baby dragon has great
5:36 potential and can evolve into many
5:38 different forms. From that, he starts to
5:40 suspect that the little dragon might not
5:43 be able to evolve very far or possibly
5:45 might not evolve at all after a certain
5:47 point. With that in mind, he ultimately
5:49 decides to go with the baby dragon
5:51 because he doesn't want to have any
5:53 regrets whatsoever. Even though it might
5:54 be risky, he doesn't want to look back
5:56 later and think that he made the wrong
5:59 choice or held himself back out of fear.
6:01 The system accepts his decision and
6:03 grants his wish. And in the next moment,
6:05 his body begins to change as he
6:07 transforms into a yellow baby dragon,
6:09 exactly as requested. Along with the
6:12 evolution, he gains a large number of
6:14 new skills, and all of his previous
6:16 stats are significantly boosted compared
6:18 to before. However, despite evolving,
6:21 his HP and MP don't refill afterward,
6:23 which means he's still exhausted and
6:25 will need some proper rest before
6:27 pushing himself any further. Almost
6:29 immediately after realizing this, his
6:31 stomach suddenly growls loudly, making
6:33 it clear that he needs to eat something
6:35 soon. He looks over at the worm he
6:37 defeated earlier, and to his surprise,
6:39 it actually looks kind of delicious to
6:42 him now. He realizes that if he wants to

6:47 instincts completely kick in. Without
6:50 hesitating any longer, he devour the
6:52 worm. After eating, he lies down and
6:54 falls asleep. And when he wakes up the
6:56 next morning, he feels energized and
6:58 refreshed after getting a good night's
7:00 rest. He heads over to the river to look
7:01 at his reflection, and that's when he
7:03 fully acknowledges that he's been
7:05 reincarnated into this world. However,
7:08 what he finds strange is that he doesn't
7:10 have any memories of his past life at
7:11 all. He can't remember who he used to
7:14 be, what kind of life he lived, or even
7:16 whether he was a boy or a girl. Just as
7:18 he's thinking about that, he turns
7:20 around and notices several dark worms
7:22 behind him. This time, instead of
7:24 running away, he charges straight at
7:26 them. Using his new skills, he wipes out
7:28 the first wave in record time. As he
7:30 continues defeating more of them, he

7:47 to try those instead. That quickly turns
7:50 out to be a terrible idea because he
7:51 soon realizes the mushrooms are
7:53 poisonous. After dealing with the
7:55 consequences, he firmly decides that
7:57 he's never going to eat random mushrooms
7:59 again. With that lesson learned, he
8:01 heads deeper into the forest to look for
8:03 real prey since he really doesn't want
8:05 to keep surviving on dark worms. He
8:08 explores for a while until he spots a
8:10 gray wolf nearby. And even though it's
8:12 bigger than him, he still manages to use
8:14 his baby breath and dragon punch to take
8:17 it down. The fire slightly burns the
8:19 wolf's skin, and after taking a whiff,
8:21 he realizes that it smells just like
8:23 barbecue. Curious, he uses his baby
8:25 breath to grill it a bit more. And when
8:28 he finally takes a bite, he finds that
8:30 it's absolutely delicious. After that,
8:32 he comes across another grey wolf and
8:34 defeats it almost instantly. And this
8:36 causes him to level up all the way to
8:38 level 20 out of 25. With this, he
8:41 realizes that he still needs to gain
8:43 five more levels before he can finally
8:45 evolve again. Once the wolf is dead, he
8:47 begins grilling it just like before and
8:50 slowly realizes that he's starting to
8:51 get used to living like a dragon.
8:53 Hunting, fighting, and eating like this
8:56 is becoming normal to him. Still, even
8:57 though he's getting stronger, having
8:59 only the divine voice to talk to is
9:02 starting to feel very lonely and boring.
9:03 Because of that, he finds himself
9:05 wishing that he could have his own best
9:07 friend by his side. That wish is
9:09 answered much faster than he expects
9:12 because not long after he suddenly hears
9:14 voices coming from somewhere in the
9:15 distance. He can't understand the
9:17 language they're speaking at all, but
9:19 even so, he feels relieved when he hears
9:21 them because he knows those voices
9:23 belong to humans. He quickly hides
9:26 behind a nearby tree and carefully looks
9:28 out, spotting a small group of
9:30 adventurers walking closer. At first, he
9:32 thinks about showing himself and trying
9:34 to talk to them, but then he remembers
9:36 that he's a dragon. Because of that, he
9:37 wonders if they might attack him the
9:39 moment they see him. Still, he thinks
9:41 that since he's small, harmless looking,
9:43 and kind of cute, they might not see him
9:46 as a threat. He even considers that they
9:48 might keep him as a pet instead. With
9:50 that hopeful thought in mind, he steps
9:52 out from behind the tree and stands in
9:54 front of them, trying his best to act
9:56 cute and non-threatening. Unfortunately,
9:58 his plan completely fails. The
10:00 adventurers don't see him as cute at
10:02 all. Instead, they only see him as prey
10:04 and valuable meat. Without hesitation,
10:06 the leader of the group slashes him
10:08 across the chest with his sword. Right
10:10 after that, the man uses magic that
10:12 numbs his entire body and makes it
10:15 impossible for him to move properly. He
10:17 desperately tries to run away, but his
10:19 body won't respond because of the
10:20 numbing effect. As he lies there,
10:22 helpless, he watches the adventurers
10:24 slowly walk toward him, clearly
10:26 preparing to kill him. At that moment,
10:28 he realizes how foolish he was to
10:30 believe that a dragon could ever
10:32 befriend humans. After everything he
10:34 endured and all the effort he put into
10:36 evolving and surviving, it feels like
10:38 it's all about to end in a meaningless
10:40 and pointless death. Just as the leader
10:43 raises his weapon and prepares to deal
10:45 the finishing blow, a female adventurer
10:47 suddenly steps in and stops him. She
10:49 says that there's no need to kill such a
10:51 small, cute, and innocent looking
10:53 dragon. Confused, he wonders why he's
10:56 still alive. After a few seconds, he
10:58 starts to feel a warm sensation
10:59 spreading through his body. When he
11:01 looks up, he realizes that the female
11:03 adventurer is using healing magic on
11:06 him. He quickly uses his appraisal skill

11:23 language more clearly if he levels it
11:25 up. However, this calm and gentle moment
11:27 doesn't last long. Suddenly, loud
11:30 screams echo from somewhere ahead. Maria

11:34 belonging to her comrades, and without
11:36 thinking, she tries to rush forward to
11:38 help them. Before she can go, he grabs

12:08 It's a rock dragon, a C-rank monster. To
12:11 make things even worse, it has 197 GP,
12:13 which means it would take an enormous
12:15 amount of damage to defeat it. Maria has
12:17 already been injured by the monster, and
12:19 when he calls out to her, the rock

13:00 he confronts that monster headon, he has
13:02 absolutely no chance of surviving.
13:04 Hearing this only makes him panic even
13:06 more. Deep down, he knows the divine
13:08 voice is right. He is far too weak,
13:10 inexperienced, and unprepared to face a
13:13 rock dragon of that size. Realistically,
13:15 the smartest and safest option would be
13:18 to turn around and run as fast as he
13:20 can. That is the logical choice. Even
13:22 so, despite understanding all of that,
13:24 he cannot bring himself to abandon Myra
13:26 and leave her there to die. With no time
13:29 left to hesitate, he forces himself into
13:31 action. He narrowly dodges one of the
13:33 rock dragons attacks, then immediately
13:35 counters by striking it straight in the
13:37 face. After doing that, he quickly
13:40 glances to the side and notices the two
13:42 adventurers he encountered earlier. One
13:44 of them is already dead while the other
13:46 is barely clinging to life with only 5
13:48 HP remaining. Seeing this, he quickly
13:51 forms a plan. His goal is to draw the
13:53 rock dragon away from them, create some
13:55 distance, and then circle back to help
13:57 the survivors if he can. He turns and
13:59 runs, pushing his body as hard as
14:01 possible to escape. However, before he
14:04 can get far, the rock dragon slams the
14:06 ground with a powerful tremor. The
14:08 impact throws him off balance, sending
14:10 him crashing to the ground. As he
14:12 struggles to recover, the rock dragon
14:14 charges straight toward him, closing the
14:16 distance in an instant. The rock dragon
14:18 is now moving closer to him. And right
14:21 as it jumps forward to attack, he reacts
14:23 at once and throws a fire covered punch
14:25 straight into the rock dragon's face,
14:27 hitting it head-on. He believes that
14:29 this attack should have taken away at
14:31 least half of the dragon's HP. But to
14:33 his shock, the rock dragon suddenly
14:36 begins to heal itself, restoring its HP
14:38 completely as if nothing happened. Even
14:40 so, he quickly realizes that while the
14:42 dragon is busy healing, this gives him
14:44 the perfect chance to grab Myra and
14:46 escape from the area. However, just
14:49 before he turns to leave, he remembers
14:51 that the other adventurer is still alive
14:53 nearby. He knows deep down that he does
14:55 not have the strength or time to save
14:57 both of them. So after struggling with
14:59 the decision, he makes the painful
15:01 choice to leave the adventurer behind to
15:04 die and focus on saving Myra instead. He
15:06 lifts Maria and carries her deep into
15:09 the forest, running as fast as he can.
15:10 But then he suddenly stops when he
15:13 realizes he can smell gray wolves
15:15 nearby. His sense of smell never fails
15:17 him. And moments later, a full pack of
15:20 gray wolves begins chasing him while
15:22 lies on his back. He runs with
15:24 everything he has until the wolves
15:26 completely surround him, leaving him
15:28 with no path left to escape. A few
15:30 minutes later, Maria briefly opens her
15:32 eyes and sees him fighting and killing
15:35 several gay wolves all by himself, using
15:38 only his bare hands and even his teeth
15:40 before she passes out again. After every
15:42 greywolf is defeated, he continues
15:44 carrying Myra through the forest once
15:46 more. Eventually, he spots a small human
15:49 village in the distance. So, he starts
15:51 shouting loudly for help, hoping the
15:53 humans will come to their aid. But just
15:55 as he expected, the humans see him as
15:57 nothing more than dangerous monster
15:59 meat. So, one of them stabs him with a
16:01 spear and the others aim their weapons
16:03 at him. He desperately tries to explain
16:05 that he means them no harm and that he
16:07 is only trying to save Myra, but the
16:09 humans don't understand a single word,
16:11 he says. After a short while, he
16:14 understands that arguing is useless. So
16:16 he gently places Myra on the ground for
16:18 the humans to take care of her and then
16:20 quickly runs away before they can attack
16:22 him again. Once he leaves, the humans
16:24 immediately begin treating Myra's
16:26 wounds. And he feels relieved knowing
16:29 that she is finally safe. As he walks
16:31 away, he realizes that humans and
16:33 dragons may never truly be able to
16:35 become friends. So he quietly returns to
16:38 his home deep within the woods. The next
16:40 day, Maria wakes up lying in a bed and
16:42 sees a girl named Marielle staring at
16:45 her. Marielle explains that Myra was
16:46 badly injured and was brought to her
16:49 house so she could be treated properly.
16:51 She then lets Maria know that she had
16:53 been unconscious for two full days.
16:55 Maria listens while lying back down, but
16:57 she cannot stop wondering who it was
16:59 that carried her out of the forest and
17:02 into the village. At first, she believes
17:04 it was her comrades Grants and Dah. So,

17:19 Marielle calls Grants and Da idiots for
17:21 trying to fight a rock dragon and
17:23 thinking they ever had a chance of
17:25 winning. Maria is left completely
17:27 shocked when she hears that her comrades
17:29 were eaten, and she immediately starts
17:31 blaming herself for everything that
17:33 happened. Marielle tells Maria not to
17:35 punish herself like that, saying that it
17:37 is actually better that she was the one
17:39 who survived because her comrades were
17:41 stubborn idiots who never listened to
17:43 anyone. Hearing this, Maria begins to

18:21 that he was the strongest adventurer
18:23 around. He even lied and claimed that
18:26 Marielle had given him permission to go
18:28 hunt a rock dragon. Maria tried her
18:30 hardest to warn him and tell him that it
18:32 was far too dangerous, but Daw let his
18:34 pride control him and refused to back
18:36 down. He insisted on going after the
18:39 rock dragon and even managed to pressure
18:41 and guilt Maria into coming along with
18:43 him. That is exactly why Marielle calls
18:46 Da a fool, saying that his pride blinded

18:50 the end. Despite everything, Marielle is
18:53 still surprised that Maria managed to
18:55 survive and escape without suffering any
18:57 serious injuries at all. Maria then
18:59 tells her that someone must have carried
19:01 her out of the forest, but Marielle
19:03 quickly interrupts her and says that is
19:05 impossible. She explains that no
19:08 adventurer would ever risk their life to
19:10 save a random injured adventurer from a
19:12 monster as deadly as a rock dragon. Even
19:15 so, Maria insists that she clearly
19:17 remembers someone carrying her back
19:18 toward the village. Marielle believes
19:20 that Maria's memories are simply
19:23 confused because of the heavy blow she
19:25 took during the battle. Still, Maria
19:27 cannot fully accept that explanation
19:29 because she has faint memories of being
19:31 saved by a dragon. As she thinks about
19:33 it more, she starts to wonder if it
19:35 truly was that little dragon who saved
19:37 her and carried her all the way back to
19:39 the village. The next day, he wakes up
19:42 feeling full of energy and is surprised
19:44 by how much of his injuries healed just
19:46 from getting a good night's sleep. He
19:48 realizes that if he were still human,
19:50 there is no way he would be able to
19:52 recover this fast. A human body simply
19:54 could not heal this much overnight.
19:56 Putting that thought aside, he looks up
19:58 at the sky and starts wondering how Myra
20:01 is doing and whether she is safe or not.

20:07 did any damage and he felt completely
20:09 powerless the entire time. Because of
20:11 that memory, a strong sense of
20:13 motivation rises inside him, and he
20:15 makes a firm vow to become stronger, no
20:18 matter what it takes, so he can protect
20:20 people who are in danger. With that goal
20:22 in mind, he immediately begins training
20:24 by tracking down a group of dark worms
20:26 and wiping them out, hoping to gain
20:28 enough XP to reach the next stage of
20:31 evolution. Not long after, he receives a
20:33 notification telling him that he has
20:35 reached level 25 and has now met the
20:38 requirements to evolve. Unlike before
20:40 when he only had two evolution options
20:42 to choose from, he now has five
20:44 different evolution paths available, he
20:47 feels conflicted and unsure about which

21:14 option instead. The divine voice goes
21:16 through each evolution choice one by
21:18 one, explaining them in detail, but the
21:20 one that grabs his attention the most is
21:22 the young plague dragon. The young
21:24 plague dragon is described as the first
21:27 stage of an evil dragon that spreads
21:29 disaster wherever it goes. Its
21:31 advantages include high intelligence and
21:33 the ability to use a human
21:35 transformation skill, allowing it to
21:37 turn into a human and freely visit
21:39 villages. At first, he quickly rejects
21:41 the idea as soon as he hears that it is
21:43 the spawn of an evil dragon. However,
21:46 after thinking for a moment, he suddenly
21:48 realizes that the voice mentioned human
21:50 transformation. His face heats up as he
21:52 imagines being able to turn into a human
21:55 and walk through villages whenever he
21:57 wants. Even so, he knows that choosing

22:33 transformation is intense. When it is
22:35 finally over, he looks into the water to
22:37 see his reflection. That is when he
22:39 realizes that he looks a lot uglier than
22:42 he used to be. The divine voice then
22:44 announces all the skills he has been
22:46 upgraded to. And at first, he is
22:48 extremely excited. Hearing about all the
22:50 new abilities makes him feel powerful
22:52 and hopeful. However, that excitement
22:55 quickly fades when he sees all the evil
22:57 type skills he has also gained. The list
22:59 of dark and dangerous abilities makes
23:01 him uncomfortable and worried about what
23:03 kind of creature he is becoming. What
23:05 makes things even worse is that the main
23:07 reason he chose this evolution was to
23:10 get the human transformation skill. When
23:12 he looks at his status board, he sees
23:14 that the skill is nowhere to be found.
23:16 Feeling frustrated, he asks the divine
23:18 voice if he is supposed to level up
23:20 first before he can get that skill. Once

23:42 sound cruel, poisonous, or meant to
23:44 spread sickness and destruction. Each
23:46 time he learns more, he mentally
23:48 crashes, realizing just how evil and
23:51 dangerous this dragon form truly is. At
23:53 this point, he regrets his decision
23:55 deeply and just wants to go back to
23:57 being a cute little dragon instead of
23:58 this terrifying plague creature.
24:01 Meanwhile, Marielle goes with Myra to
24:03 re-enchant the warding stones. My is
24:05 still confused, unsure whether the
24:08 monster that saved her was real or just
24:10 her imagination. Marielle takes the
24:12 situation seriously. She reasons that if
24:14 a monster was able to enter because the
24:16 warding stones were broken, then that
24:18 means there is a serious problem with
24:20 their defenses. Shortly after she
24:22 finishes re-enchanting the warding
24:25 stones, Maria asks Marielle to tell her
24:27 more about monsters. Marielle notices
24:29 that Myra has been oddly obsessed with
24:32 monsters. Ever since the incident she
24:34 went through, Maria explains that it is
24:36 because she has a strong feeling that
24:38 the monster back then was actually
24:40 trying to save her. That thought has not
24:41 left her mind and she wants to
24:43 understand monsters better because of
24:45 it. Marielle figures that it will not
24:47 hurt to let Maria know more about
24:50 monsters. So, she begins to explain. She
24:52 tells her that monsters grow stronger
24:54 with every evolution and they usually do
24:56 this by hunting other creatures in order
24:58 to level up. Marielle explains that
25:00 levels are something humans have as well
25:02 since people also improve their
25:04 abilities by gaining experience.
25:06 However, monsters work a little
25:08 differently. She goes on to explain that
25:11 once monsters reach their maximum level,
25:12 they do not simply stop growing.
25:15 Instead, they evolve into a monster that
25:17 is one rank higher. After that, the
25:19 process repeats. They hunt, level up
25:21 again, reach another limit, and then
25:23 evolve into an even more powerful form.
25:25 Each evolution makes them stronger, more
25:27 dangerous, and more difficult to defeat
25:30 than before. Maria is genuinely shocked
25:32 when she hears all of this. She cannot
25:34 believe that people have managed to
25:36 learn so much about the way monsters
25:38 grow and evolve. It seems impossible to
25:40 her that humans could understand
25:42 creatures that are so different from
25:44 them. But Marielle tells her that this
25:46 is not the whole story. Marielle
25:48 explains that from time to time there
25:50 are special people who can hear a divine
25:52 voice. This divine voice shares
25:54 information with them about monsters,

26:02 heroes or saints. Because of them,
26:04 humans have been able to gather detailed
26:06 knowledge about monsters and how they

26:12 monster out there is driven to become

26:17 is their nature. Because of this, even
26:19 if a monster really did save Maria's
26:21 life before, the next time they cross
26:23 paths, that same monster could have
26:25 evolved into something far more
26:27 dangerous. In that case, it would most
26:29 likely attack her instead of helping
26:32 her. Finally, Marielle warns Mya not to
26:34 get the wrong idea about monsters. She
26:36 explains that monsters are nothing more
26:38 than embodiment of pure fighting
26:40 instinct. They exist to grow stronger
26:42 through battle and conflict. Because of
26:44 that, monsters and humans were never
26:46 meant to coexist peacefully. After
26:48 saying this, Marielle turns and walks
26:51 away, leaving Maria alone with a lot to
26:53 think about. Meanwhile, he is still bent
26:55 on leveling up so he can finally achieve
26:58 human transformation and will finally be
27:00 able to see Myra again. He hopes to find
27:02 some weak monsters so that he can level
27:05 up quickly and get closer to that goal.
27:07 But after moving for a while, he
27:08 realizes that it is a little hard for
27:11 him to move. When he looks up, he sees
27:13 that he has been stuck in a giant web
27:15 and a giant spider monster has just
27:17 landed behind him with a heavy thud. He
27:19 immediately takes a look at the spider's
27:22 stats and sees that they are far too
27:23 high for him to handle at his current
27:26 level. So, he quickly realizes that he
27:28 probably cannot beat it in his current
27:30 state. The spider strikes first and he

27:36 inflicts a lot of damage. But when he
27:38 checks the spider's stats screen, he
27:41 notices that the spider's HP has barely
27:43 gone down at all. Determined to try
27:45 something else, he decides to use some
27:47 of the plague dragon's paralysis attack.
27:49 He launches a large flurry of those
27:51 attacks, hoping to weaken or slow it
27:54 down. Even after all of that, the spider
27:56 still has over half of its HP remaining,
27:58 which makes him realize that brute force
28:00 alone will not work. Seeing how strong
28:03 the spider is and how little impact his
28:05 attacks are having, he figures that his
28:07 best bet is to get the hell out of there
28:09 before it is too late, he runs away as
28:11 fast as he can. But before he can even
28:13 realize it, the spider is right behind
28:16 him, moving far faster than he expected.
28:18 He tries using his flight skill to
28:20 escape, but he immediately realizes that
28:22 his level is still too low to lift off
28:25 properly, so he has no choice but to
28:27 continue rolling and dodging as he makes
28:29 his way forward. He continues rolling
28:31 and maneuvering until he spots a nearby
28:34 cliff. Despite knowing that his flying
28:36 skill is still unreliable at his current
28:38 level, he decides to take the risk and
28:41 open his wings at the last second. By
28:43 doing this, he is able to glide safely
28:45 over to the other side of the cliff.
28:47 Once he lands, he lets out a small
28:49 celebration. Feeling a sense of relief
28:51 and accomplishment that he managed to
28:53 get away from the spider this time
28:55 without getting hurt. However, just as
28:57 he is about to leave, he notices
28:59 something alarming. The spider has used
29:01 its webs to create a bridge across the
29:03 gap and is making its way over to him.
29:05 He freezes for a moment, realizing that
29:08 this fight is far from over. He then
29:10 continues to roll away as fast as he
29:12 possibly can, dodging obstacles and
29:14 trying to put as much distance as
29:16 possible between himself and the spider.
29:18 Along the way, he runs into several
29:20 other monsters, and each time he defeats
29:22 them without too much trouble. He keeps
29:24 moving and fighting, gradually building
29:27 up experience from each encounter. After
29:29 a little while of doing this, the divine
29:31 voice suddenly announces to him that he
29:33 has gone from level three to level
29:36 eight. Hearing this, he realizes that he
29:38 might actually have a shot at beating
29:40 the spider now if he plays his cards
29:42 right. Just as he is getting ready to
29:44 fight again. The spider releases a cloud
29:47 of poison gas. The sudden attack makes
29:49 him jump up into the trees to avoid it.
29:51 While he is up there, he remembers that
29:53 he is actually resistant to poison, so
29:55 the gas wouldn't affect him at all. He
29:57 also realizes that the spider doesn't
29:59 know this, which gives him an
30:01 opportunity to use the gas to his
30:03 advantage. He falls from the tree in a
30:05 way that makes it look like he has been
30:07 killed by the gas. When the spider comes
30:09 closer to feast on him, he takes his

30:37 back, he spots a nearby cave that looks
30:38 pretty cool. Seeing that no one is
30:41 inside it, he decides to make it his own
30:43 personal cave. Later, he makes his
30:45 dinner inside. After eating, sits back
30:47 and reflects. He wonders whether he will
30:49 ever be able to coexist with humans, but
30:52 quickly realizes that it is unlikely
30:54 because of how frightening he looks in
30:56 his current plague dragon form. What
30:58 makes it even worse is that he still
31:00 hasn't gained the human transformation
31:02 skill, which makes him start to quietly
31:04 regret choosing this form in the first
31:06 place. Meanwhile, at a local diner,
31:09 Maria is in shock because she just heard
31:11 an old-timer claim that he saw Daw
31:13 earlier. According to him, he had been
31:15 out fishing near the forest when he saw
31:18 Da walking deeper into the woods until
31:19 he disappeared from sight. Everyone
31:22 knows the old man to be a drunkard, so
31:24 most of them assume he is just imagining
31:26 things or doesn't know what he is
31:28 talking about. However, the elder
31:31 insists that he saw Daw's clearly. Maria
31:33 immediately rushes to tell Marielle what
31:35 she heard and asks for permission to
31:37 search the forest. Marielle immediately
31:39 shuts her down, explaining that there is
31:42 no way Daw could still be alive because
31:44 if he were, he would have returned to
31:46 the village by now. Seeing how much this
31:48 has affected Maria, Marielle reassures
31:50 her that she will have the guild
31:52 investigate the situation and see what
31:54 can be done. Maria is grateful to hear
31:57 that, feeling a small sense of relief.
31:58 The next day, he wakes up feeling

32:25 slime's stat screen. As he reads through
32:27 it, he cannot believe his eyes. He is
32:30 stunned and confused as he wonders why a
32:31 slime like that would carry such
32:34 incredibly powerful stats far beyond
32:36 what he expected for a simple creature.
32:38 Just then, the slime tries to attack
32:40 him, but he manages to escape before
32:43 it's too late. He ends up deciding to
32:45 just let the slime be. After that, he
32:47 continues his search in a new direction.
32:49 A few minutes later, he stumbles across
32:51 a neatlooking pot and figures it will be
32:53 good to store some fruit. But when he
32:55 picks it up, it immediately springs back
32:58 and turns out to be a D-rank monster
33:00 known as a pottorrtoise, a pot, and a
33:01 tortoise at the same time. He
33:03 immediately tries to take it out with
33:05 his dragon punch. But even after landing
33:08 that attack head-on, it barely does any
33:10 damage. He figures he may just not be
33:12 trying hard enough. So after he hits it
33:15 with all he has, the potice just uses
33:17 its rest skill to regenerate its health
33:19 back to full. Out of frustration, he
33:21 just begins to wrestle it and tries the
33:24 brute force approach. But its shell is
33:26 way too hard for him to pry. So that's
33:28 definitely not going to work. But that's
33:29 when he remembers that this is a
33:31 tortoise and not a turtle. And since
33:33 tortoises are known to be terrible
33:35 swimmers, he just tosses it into the
33:37 river and calls it a day. The system
33:39 announces that he just gained 36
33:42 experience points after defeating it and
33:44 has now got them up to level 15. a
33:46 couple of other skills leveled up as
33:48 well. So, he's a bit happy about that.
33:50 Just as he's about to continue exploring
33:52 the forest, he runs into another horde
33:55 of potasses. At that moment, he realizes
33:57 that his friend had called an allies
33:59 before throwing him into the river. And
34:01 judging by their expressions, they
34:03 clearly aren't too pleased about seeing
34:05 their companion get tossed into the
34:07 water. So, after a few moments, they
34:09 start to combine until they stack on top
34:10 of each other. But, this isn't something
34:13 he can't handle. So, he just jumps into
34:15 the air and throws one at the rest of
34:17 them, sending them all crashing down.
34:19 Since he defeated so many at once, he
34:22 just gained 594 experience points and
34:25 went from level 15 to 30 after just one
34:27 battle. Seeing that, he starts to get a
34:30 little proud of himself. Still, he's a
34:32 bit upset that after he defeats a pot or
34:34 the shells always get destroyed, which
34:37 means he will never get a useful pot. He
34:39 continues his search in the forest when
34:41 he realizes that he only has 10 more
34:43 levels left for his next evolution and
34:45 he still hasn't reached the human
34:47 transformation yet. So, he wonders how
34:49 long it is genuinely going to take. He
34:52 walks on for a while, but then comes to
34:54 a sudden stop as he senses an eerie aura
34:57 and hears some loud footsteps. He hides
34:59 in the bushes to watch and sees that it
35:01 is a giant bear walking in the distance,
35:03 but he can't help but notice that there
35:05 is something off about this particular
35:07 bear. He tries to view its stats, but
35:10 isn't able to since he is too far away.
35:12 All he can do is see the bear's details.
35:15 He looks at its details and sees that it
35:17 is basically the same rank as him, which
35:19 means he could beat it if he fought hard
35:21 enough. That aside, he recalls it is
35:23 called a clay bear, which means it is
35:25 shaped like a bear, but made of clay.
35:27 So, if he manages to defeat it, he may
35:29 be able to mold it into a pot and
35:31 finally have a way to store his stuff.
35:33 The bear hasn't noticed him so far, so
35:35 he thinks about going for a sneak
35:37 attack. He drops down from a tree and is
35:40 about to attack with his fire punch, but
35:42 the bear turns around at the last second
35:45 and opens its chest claws, almost biting
35:46 him in half. After he manages to
35:49 recover, he uses his speed and a hit and
35:51 run technique to attack the bear
35:53 repeatedly until it is down to almost
35:56 half its HP. Seeing this, he thinks he
35:58 has an actual shot at winning. But the
36:00 bear suddenly uses its regeneration
36:02 skill, healing all its wounds and
36:05 restoring all its HP. Seeing this, he
36:07 realizes that his best chance is to
36:09 continue using the hit and run technique
36:12 until the bear runs out of MP and can't
36:14 heal itself. He does this for a while
36:16 and it seems to be working, but just as
36:18 he is about to deliver another attack.
36:20 The bear suddenly screams and unleashes
36:23 an unseen sandstorm attack. This causes
36:25 sharp spikes to grow along his back,
36:27 which completely prevents him from
36:29 continuing to use his hit and run
36:31 technique properly. The bear then pulls
36:34 several of the spikes from its own body
36:35 and begins throwing them one after
36:38 another as deadly projectiles. After he
36:40 dodges these attacks, he notices that
36:42 pieces of clay break off from the spikes
36:44 when they strike the ground. And this
36:46 immediately gives him a clear idea of
36:48 what he can do next. After the bear
36:50 throws yet another clay spike at him, he
36:53 decides not to just dodge this time.
36:55 Instead, he quickly picks it up, molds
36:57 the soft clay into a solid ball with his
36:59 hands, and then uses it along with his
37:02 powerful meteorite attack to strike the
37:04 bear directly and finish it off once and
37:06 for all. He has finally defeated the
37:08 clay bear. And soon after, the divine
37:11 voice announces that he has gained 300
37:13 experience points and has leveled up
37:15 from level 30 all the way to level 33.
37:18 On top of that, he now has full access
37:20 to the clay. So, he returns back home
37:23 and begins carefully preparing a pot
37:24 using the clay he collected from the
37:27 fight. While the clay pot is cooking and
37:29 slowly taking shape, he decides to
37:31 venture back into the forest to search
37:33 for something to eat. After spending a
37:35 good amount of time exploring the area,
37:37 he comes across several strange, wild,
37:39 and unfamiliar plants that he had no
37:42 idea even existed before now, which
37:44 makes him both curious and cautious.
37:46 Meanwhile, Maria is shown venturing
37:49 deeper into the forest despite Marielle
37:51 clearly warning her not to go there at
37:53 all. Maria remains extremely determined
37:55 to search the forest because if there is
37:58 even a small chance that Dah is still
38:00 alive. She cannot simply stand by and do
38:02 nothing while he might be suffering or
38:04 in danger. She is not sure whether the
38:07 rumor the old man told her about seeing
38:09 Da is actually true. But even with that
38:11 doubt in her mind, she knows that she
38:13 still has to try and search for him
38:15 herself. As she continues walking
38:17 forward, she encounters a dark worm. But
38:19 she quickly defends herself and forces
38:22 it back using a strong firebased attack.
38:25 She reminds herself that as long as she
38:27 stays calm and focused, she should be
38:28 able to make it through the forest
38:30 safely. While he is busy learning about
38:32 the different species of fruits and
38:34 vegetables and is actually becoming
38:36 quite fascinated by them, Maria is still
38:38 out there venturing through the forest
38:41 in search of Da. With every step she
38:43 takes deeper into the forest, she feels
38:45 more and more scared and her heart
38:47 starts beating faster. When she reaches
38:49 a certain point, she finally decides
38:51 that she will only take a quick look
38:53 around the outskirts of her village
38:55 before turning back and going home,
38:57 telling herself not to go any further
38:59 than that. Later that night, he gets
39:01 home and feels happy when he sees that
39:03 his bowl is finally ready. He uses it
39:05 along with the vegetables and meat he
39:07 gathered earlier that day. And after he
39:10 finishes preparing the meal, he takes a
39:12 taste. He immediately says that this is
39:14 the best thing he has ever eaten in his
39:16 life. However, the bowl he made turns
39:18 out to be a little hard to drink from
39:20 and leaks a bit. So, he decides that he
39:22 will make a better and more comfortable
39:24 one tomorrow. Then, the next morning, a
39:26 carriage is seen passing through a
39:28 valley. Inside the carriage is a lady
39:30 who is referred to as Princess Melchia,
39:33 and she is woken up by two adventurers
39:35 traveling with her. The two adventurers
39:37 look toward the forest nearby and
39:39 quickly agree that this must be the
39:40 forest the guild wants them to
39:42 investigate. Meanwhile, he has just
39:44 returned from hunting wolves. He guts
39:47 the wolves and goes into the forest to
39:49 lay their pelts out to dry in the open
39:51 air. However, this same group of monkeys
39:53 keeps coming back and eating parts of
39:55 the pelts whenever he leaves them
39:57 unattended. and it is really starting to
39:59 piss him off. With that in mind, he puts
40:02 an evil look on his face and decides to
40:04 lace the next batch of pelts with poison
40:06 so that when the monkeys come to eat
40:08 them, they will die. After making this
40:10 decision, he sets out on a journey to
40:12 find poisonous flowers. He soon walks
40:15 into a wide field filled with colorful
40:17 but dangerous poisonous plants, but that
40:19 is when he stumbles upon something else
40:21 entirely, a type of monster he has never
40:24 seen before. He appraises it and finds
40:26 out that it is a venom princess Lerta.
40:28 But what interests him the most is that
40:30 this species only has poison related
40:33 skills. The venom princess suddenly runs
40:35 away as soon as she notices him, making
40:37 him think that she got scared and fled.
40:39 However, not long after that, she
40:42 suddenly jumps out from nowhere, bites
40:43 him on the neck, and immediately
40:45 scurries off again. At this point, he
40:48 feels completely confused. He wonders
40:50 why it would bite him so lightly and
40:51 then run away without finishing the
40:54 fight. But then a massive wave of poison
40:56 suddenly floods through his body. It is
40:58 nothing like anything he has ever felt
41:00 before. He drops to his knees and
41:02 realizes that he cannot even move his
41:04 shoulders. Shortly after that, he
41:06 collapses to the ground, finally
41:08 realizing that this was the Venom
41:10 Princess's plan from the very beginning.
41:12 He begins to wonder if this poison is
41:14 different from the normal kind. From
41:16 what he can feel, it is clearly doing
41:18 far more damage than it should. His body
41:20 feels heavy, his breathing is rough, and
41:22 his thoughts are becoming slower. He
41:24 understands one clear truth. If he keeps
41:27 lying there without thinking or making a
41:29 plan, he is definitely going to die.
41:31 That thought scares him, but it also
41:33 forces his mind to stay active. He
41:35 pushes himself to think, asking what he
41:37 can possibly do next to survive. After a
41:39 short moment of thought, he comes to a
41:41 decision. The only way forward is to
41:43 learn more about the black lizard that
41:45 poisoned him. If he understands the
41:47 creature better, maybe he can find a way
41:49 to counter the poison. With that hope in
41:51 mind, he calls out for an appraisal. The
41:54 divine voice answers and begins to
41:55 explain. It tells him that the creature
41:58 is a D-rank monster. This monster is
42:01 known for a very cruel hunting style. It
42:03 poisons its prey, then runs away instead
42:05 of finishing the kill. After the poison
42:07 has fully taken effect, and the prey is
42:10 helpless or dead, it comes back to feast
42:12 on the remains. The voice continues
42:14 giving him more important information.
42:16 It explains that this creature known as
42:19 the Venom Princess produces her poison
42:21 inside her own body. She does this by
42:23 consuming poisonous substances over
42:25 time. However, there is one critical
42:28 weakness. The divine voice reveals that
42:30 the bodily fluids of the Venom Princess
42:32 are the only known antidote to the
42:34 poison sheets. Hearing this changes
42:36 everything for him. In that moment, he
42:38 fully understands his situation. If he
42:41 wants to live, he must capture the venom
42:43 princess alive and use her bodily fluids
42:45 to cure himself. There is no other
42:47 option. Thanks to his poison resistance
42:50 skill, he is not completely helpless
42:52 yet. Even though his body feels weak, he
42:54 can still move a little using what
42:56 strength he has left. He activates his
42:58 roll skill and begins rolling through
43:00 the forest just as he expected. The
43:03 Venom Princess does not lose interest.

43:31 this time against the Venom Princess.
43:33 Gathering every bit of strength he has
43:35 left, he rolls faster and faster. At the
43:38 very last second, he turns around and
43:40 shoves the Venom Princess off the cliff.
43:42 As she begins to fall, relief flashes
43:44 through his mind, but that relief
43:46 instantly turns into panic. He remembers
43:48 that her bodily fluids are what he needs
43:51 to survive. If she dies from the fall,
43:53 then he has sealed his own fate. Without
43:55 hesitation, he jumps off the cliff after
43:57 her. Midair, the poison surges through
43:59 his body again, hitting him harder than
44:02 before. His strength fades rapidly and
44:04 his limbs feel like they might stop
44:06 working at any moment. Still, he refuses
